Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Good info for the beginner........2007-05-21
I am totally new to machining and I found this book very interesting. The author shares many "tips and tricks" and answered a number of questions I had. The book is very interesting to read and is broken up into easily manageable sections. I would highly recommend this book if you are just starting out and want to save yourself some trouble learning from your mistakes.
Machine shop trade secrets ??.......2007-03-14
Rather disappointed. Only a few real usefull hints, some obvious "secrets", very disorganized, no logic structure.
I will be more careful selecting my next purchase espacially as I had to pay 10 Euro on top for the customs...

This is a very easy to understand reference with practical tips for a novice or experienced machinist. I found the reading to be very worthwhile and information to be practical. Reading was easy to understand and this is one of the few books that I have read from cover to cover. I plan on re-reading sections and applying many of its suggestions.

This book is setup for effective reading or just finding a quick tip. The author brings lots of experience and the information is useful for a person of any skill level interesting in machining or metalworking.

Customer Reviews:
beware, buyer.......2005-12-07
This is the first review I ever share on Amazon. I tend to keep my thoughts to myself, but this book is more a pamphlet that leads to their service advertisements. I think someone must bring this "scam" to light. (Please check the number of pages in this "book", then divide by 4 to get the equivalent pages of a book)
The 4 items that this book covers are common sense that any experienced investor and intermediate trader would have developed in the first 3 years at the respective area.
Use the cost of this book and buy a deep out of money contract. It will be more profitable.
The Four Biggest Mistakes in Option Trading.......2005-08-20
Well written and concise. Very very importan for ALL Option traders to own and keep in their library. If anyone understands a little bit about "Implied Volatility", this book is a must!
what a Joke.......2004-08-26
by far a worthless book on options,
the cover looks great, but this has no
value; I learned more on the optionsxpress
website than this book, anyone who has
read an options book would not
appreciate this book it assumes you
know nothing about options and really
tricks you into thinking that the author
knows what he is talking about.
Short and sweet but too theoretical.......2003-10-28
This book is useful in directing novice options traders to the four biggest mistakes usually made in this area. The book does what is says with describing the theory behind the authors arguments but unfortunaly does not provide market examples on how that should be implemented in real life. Having read other books by this author, I am sure he is capable of supplementing his theory with examples . One of the mistakes he mentions is buying only out of the money options and he recommends buying in the money options. Unfortunately he does not address the fact that this approach could still result in a total loss if the option ends out of the money by expiration day. In addition to be successful in trading in the money options your timing needs to be accurate enough to be certain you do not face a total loss. Timing is never addressed in this book and you would need to supplement this by other books that focus more on this area.
Why 5 stars? Even with these shotcomings it is important that beginners know where they can go wrong and then focus on what to do right.
Excellent book that delivers exactly what its title says.......2003-06-20
There are four basic mistakes all beginning option traders make, these are:
1) Relying solely on market timing;
2) Buying only out-of-the-money options;
3) Using strategies that are too complex; and
4) Casting too wide a net on option choices
Relying solely on market timing.
It causes failure because it ignores implied volatility. It can lead to paying far too much to purchase an option. It would be like buying a stock without knowing its P/E, or buying a car without knowing its blue book value. The way to avoid this mistake is by carefully analyzing which options are best suited to achieve your objective. Also, measure what is the current implied volatility of these options and compare it vs. the historical volatility of this option. This will give you an idea of the current valuation of this option, and whether it appears overpriced or underpriced.
Buying only out-of-the-money options.
By doing so, you ignore the probability that the option will eventually be in-the-money. It leads to buying options with little likelihood of profiting. You can get lucky once. But, such a blind strategy is a sure way to get wiped out in option trading. Instead, you should know exactly what is the probability of you making money on each option trades. This entails knowing the "Delta" of a specific option. If an option has a Delta of 20. It has a 20% chance of being in-the-money.
Using strategies that are too complex.
This leads to unfavorable risk\reward situations. First, you should determine your objective and make certain the trade you are going to make can achieve those objectives without more risk than you can handle.
Casting too wide a net.
You will spend too much time wasted looking for opportunities among illiquid options. By doing so, you will waste a lot of your potential returns on the wider bid and ask spreads of these less than liquid options. Instead, focus on securities that have actively traded options.
This book is a real eye opener on option trading.

Customer Reviews:
Look more clearly at your own strengths and skills.......2007-09-15
By using the suggestions for organizing and presenting information in this book, I have a whole new appreciation for the things I've managed to accomplish over the years. Nearing retirement age, with five successful careers behind me and another just starting up, I still found little niches of self-defeating behavior, ways in which I was emphasizing the wrong thing or ignoring key accomplishments.
More than just a guide to resumes, this book helped me see that the new career change will bring my work life a lot closer to my core values; and it showed me clearly how to be successful from the very start.
The Resume Bible!.......2007-09-14
This is the BEST resume book ever put together. I started a resume wrting business and this is the one I use every day. It is by far the most in-depth (at near 600 pages) step-by-step practical guide to everything you need in specific detail from action verb keywords for specific industries and positions to exactly how to format in Word! Also valuable are the impact-mining questions to generate the copy for a top notch resume AND how to lead into and craft your qualifications summary (a must have). I cannot say WOW enough!!
Helpful for any job.......2007-08-23
I really like this resume book. It was really helpful and has a lot of possible templates, job description vocabulary, it even helps with selecting what font to use for your job title. I would definately reccommend this book for anyone who wants to update their resume.
Very good resource!.......2007-08-14
This book is very good. The only thing that I kept doing while flipping through it is I'd be studying a resume format and then realize that this is the "before" version, and then I was delighted to see the "after" version was there, and quite good. I especially found the examples of phrases useful in putting together a resume. You can go down the list of action verbs and see how many you can use to help describe your accomplishments, such as: "Tripled - Tripled sales volume in an established territory" or "Familiarized - Familiarized customers with company features and benefits". You can scan all the action verbs and make your own sentences. There are pages of them. Good luck to you - this book is sure to help!
Very useful!.......2007-08-04
I found this book to be very useful and easy to use. Easy to use is great since this is a fairly long book that you do not want to have to dig through every time you want to up date your resume. The tips and outlines in the book were very helpful. I do with the resume templates were easier to locate within the book and that the book spent a little more time on CVs other than that the book was exceptional.

Customer Reviews:
Overrated and Boring .......2007-07-17
Not only is Lovell's book twice as long as it should have been, but over 90% of the material covered is so dumb and artless it would only rip off a stoned retard. Remember Lloyd and Harry in 'Dumb and Dumber' scamming that crippled blind kid with a headless dead parakeet? You'll get the picture straight away. In fact, about a third of the book is on clumsy and oafish playing card frauds that wouldn't fool your own mother.
Slogging.......2007-06-27
Would be interesting if it were half as long. The cons were the most interesting; the endless variations on how to cheat at cards and dice and silly bar bets were tiring.
Quite interesting.......2007-05-31
I've made it about 70% through, and I'm very pleased. It's a broader study than The Big Con, and doesn't go into as much depth, but it hits the kind of thing the average person is more likely to see. One thing lacking is the pictures on such things as the false shuffles. I suppose you'd truly need high-speed video to really see what's happening, but more than one picture per shuffle would be a good start.
TAKES A BIT OF COURAGE TO TRY THESE THINGS........2007-05-13
If you are seeking a way to con your neighbor, you can find it here. Also possible to realize a few broken bones in this day and age. Suggest using caution when pulling some of the tricks in this book.
In society today, it may be best to be in great physical condition before you pull some of these stunts.
Most are just fun things to do and would certainly produce some good laughs.
Worthwhile reading, if for nothing more than learning what to be on the lookout for in life. A character that has the nerve to pull these stunts, would be a very interesting person to meet.
Fun informative read.......2007-05-09
Covers a HUGE array of cons/cheats...from bar bets that are a sure thing (for you) to cheating at cards to criminal scams going on today. Detailed descriptions with occasional illustrations to help you understand. I'm giving it 5 stars because I loved it, and to help balance the one-star review from the guy below who didn't even read the book.

Customer Reviews:
Great book.......2007-05-13
I got this book when I first started working as a paralegal for a patent attorney. It gave me a great understanding of Intellectual Property. Great to learn the basics, of course there was more to learn on the job.
Product Description
This book is a comprehensive guide to all aspects of pizza making, for both the amateur pizza maker, and for those who would like to open their own pizzeria. It contains additional information not normally found in a cookbook such as trade secrets, where to buy ingredients wholesale (e.g., the high gluten flour), and comparisons and instructions for special preparation and baking equipment such as baking pans, baking stones, pizza screens, commercial pizza ovens, mixing machines and proof boxes. It also contains my unique collection of over 40 pizza recipes such as barbecue, breakfast, Buffalo, calzone, cheeseburger, deep fried (a.k.a. Old Forge style ), dessert, Hawaiian, Indian, mac-n-cheese, mashed potato, Middle East, pesto, red, roasted red pepper, seafood, Sicilian, Southwest, stromboli, taco, tuna melt, vegetable and white, with preparation instructions for stuffed, rolled or open-faced style. All the recipes in this book have been perfected, and all the details have been included so that even the most amateur pizza makers can get professional results. Not only does this book include proven recipes, it provides all the tools necessary to create your own masterpiece. I've tried too many recipes that show beautiful pictures of pizzas, but once created are displeasing to the palate. This book is for genuine pizza lovers who are willing to take the time to do-it-right. Creating pizzas can be as much fun as eating them!
Customer Reviews:
Great Book - Things I never thought of!!.......2007-09-26
This book explains pizza from a whole different point of view. It has really helped us in knowing how to make a great pizza in different ways.
I really enjoyed this book and will use it forever.
Thanks
Not For Purists!.......2007-09-15
I'm very disappointed in this book. DeAngelis suggests using not only MSG, but includes sugar in all the dough recipes! Even the Margherita! Zowie. My search continues for the perfect at-home pizza book. This is definitely not it. Peter Reinhart comes close.
Made It FINALLY happen.......2007-08-03
This book is all you'll ever need to make great pizzas. I had tried several times over the years and each result was gross. I chose the author's simplest method ( a perforated pan, he offers several equipment-related techniques ) and I even used store-bought pizza sauce ( Ragu Homemade style as I wanted to get the pizza crust working before I tackled making my own sauce ) AND MY FIRST PIZZA WAS DELICIOUS ! Pay attention to Dr DeAngelis's basic rules and you can't miss. No other cookbook has brought me such sucess --- Bravo !!
It doesn't get any better!.......2007-07-06
I tried the recipes in many Pizza books before I bought this one. None of them helped me to make Pizza that was worth the effort. This book changed everything. This book rocks........2007-06-02
I was thrilled to find this book (thanks to Amazon reviews) after years of struggling to make satisfying pizza at home. King Arthur Flour's Bakers Catalogue has high gluten flour available in smaller quantities, a purchase worth the effort. I finally have a crust I'm really proud of--kneeding by hand or with mixer--and his tips for sauce and mixing cheese (mozz AND prov together) have also improved our final product. I've adapted the crust recipe and have one I love. Now I just want a pizza oven! Oh well--Dominic helped us make the best possible pizza one can make at home. Highly recommended.

New approach to the gemstone book.......2007-05-24
Surprisingly this book is totally different than other book. If you looking for a gemstone valuation, identification, etc. - you will not find it here. However, the book is discuss every member of the family gemstone with very easy to read and understand. Love it so much.
Try Reading Before You Try Trading.......2007-03-14
This is a very well written book with great photos. Easy reading detailed information on specific gems mixed in with interesting tales of travel to exotic lands. Made me realize my thoughts of international jem trading had better be prepared with years of experience. For thousands of years neophytes have been seperated from their money by professional, usually generational traders. This book saved me alot of money just by convincing me to continue as a hobbyist, albeit a better educated one now. If you are interested in colored stones, I highly recommend "Secrets Of The Gem Trade"

This is a good one but is not as clear & comprehensive as "Everything You Need To Know About The Music Business" (Donald Passman)
Add it to the library.......2006-07-03
I highly recommend this book to gain greater insights in the Music business or any business. It was a great buy along with a couple of manuals I purchased from Musicbrains.net entitled the Indie label Kit.

This book is a guide that explains all the dangerous species and all the hazardous area, but also revealing the safe zones and undisputable truths about a world dominated by the strong ones. A good book with great references that has and will be appreciated by many.

I suggest adding this book to your collection. It is nearly bursting with legal issues and information about the music industry. However at times the information seems a little inaccessible. In addition to this book I would like to suggest "Ty Cohen's Secrets to Making Money in the Music Industry (3-Piece Mega Audio CD Set)". These 2 products together are all you'll ever need!
