Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.
Book Description
Magnificent book full of majestic photography, impressive scenes of sunsets, sunrises, seasons, and other natural imagery. The unique photos border on the surreal as the pictures are partial photographs that blend and melt into watercolor images. The bright and sassy colors spill from every page, mixing the real with the imagined. It's hard to describe this book with mere words. The beautiful photography and illustrations are enhanced by verses and Bible quotations emphasizing the creative hand of God. The stunning visual style of this work of art will literally take your breath away as you travel page by page through this magical wonderland.

Important Things In Life.......2007-09-05
Four important things in my life are all combined in this one book. First is God and the Living Word - the Bible. Second are the Southwest skies - our skies here, and the ones in this book - are so inspirational! I feel God close to me when I view His handiwork. Third, Art! I am not an artist, but I love and appreciate art and the inspirational "sayings" of artists. Fourth, the photographs are breathtaking! I recall that someone once said, "A picture speaks a thousand words". All of these are included in this book - and this book is one that I love and enjoy giving to family and friends. How can anyone not believe in God when they view the sky or any of God's handiwork?

A Texas Sky (Yellow Rose Trilogy Series).......2007-01-04
Lori Wick is my favorite author. Her books are an easy read and always well written. I could not put this book down until I read it cover to cover. Anyone who likes historical Christian fiction will love this book as well as any others written by Lori Wick.
Go Lori Wick!.......2006-06-06
Lori really outdid herself with this whole series. Texas Sky is my favorite of the three. Dakota and Darvi make such a cute couple and I was inspired when I read about their adventure together. Readers will hold their breath and stay up till midnight to read this book. I know I did!
Texas Sky (Yellow Rose TrilogySer.).......2005-10-21
The Book kept me reading it. was wonderful. I love it
Trouble just seems to follow Darvi . . . ........2004-04-17
But Dakota is always there to get her out of it.
Darvi is eager to see her old friend, Merry, to tell of her new found faith in Christ. Dakota, a Texas Ranger, agrees to see her out to her friends home and then to the train station.
On the way to the train they encounter many obstacles but the biggest is when Darvi is mistaken for a newspaper reporter and is abducted. Even after her abductors realize their mistake, one of them, Seth, decides to keep her and marry her.
I thought this was an excellent book. With Dakota and Darvi both struggling to understand their new faith, they seemed like real people. I definitely would recommend this book, especially if you are a Lori Wick fan.
Excellent.......2004-01-01
This is my favorite of this series. Trouble just seems to find Darvi where ever she goes, and Dakota is always there to make things right again. An excellent Book!
Book Description
Ezekiel Harban carries bitterness and suspicion toward his wife's half-sister. Lilly recently fled New Orleans and moved to his Kansas prairie. He is sure she is hiding something, but what? Freedom's Path book 2.
Customer Reviews:
Judith Miller has created a remarkable story worthy of your reading attention........2007-06-05
Set in Kansas in 1880, MORNING SKY centers on the Harban family in the town of Nicodemus (predominantly African American) and the Boyle family in Hill City (predominantly white).
Lilly Verdue has traveled west to see her sister's family, the Harbans. More than a social visit, she's fleeing a promiscuous lifestyle in New Orleans and turns to her only relatives in Kansas. Ezekiel, her brother-in-law and head of the family, isn't happy to see Lilly because he knows her arrival signals some sort of trouble. An expert at manipulation, Lilly takes a position as housekeeper and cook for the family of George Nelson, a banker in nearby Hill City. This is a challenge for Lilly because she has to care for their three children (she doesn't like youngsters), and as a lady of leisure she isn't much into cooking or cleaning.
Dr. Samuel Boyle moved his family out west from Kentucky and is the only physician for either town. His daughter Macia, who has fallen in love with the local blacksmith, is sent to New York City by her mother for a summer of education at the Ruthledge Academy of Arts and Languages, a school of distinction for young ladies. Each new student is forced to sign some extra "papers," which turn out to be a life insurance policy. Mr. Marvin Laird, a distant cousin of the Ruthledges, slips into their food or drink a drug that makes them sleep constantly.
When the Boyles receive a letter that Macia is sick, they send Truth Harban, their housekeeper and cook, to accompany their daughter home. Eventually, Truth uncovers this sinister plot to keep Macia captive. In coordination with Silas, the African American stable hand at the school, Truth devises a means for the three of them to escape and return to Kansas.
While Truth travels to New York, her older sister, Jarena, takes up Truth's duties at the Boyle home. Truth is engaged to newspaperman Moses Wyman, but Lilly decides that her niece is too young for this marriage and plots to put Jarena and Moses together. The scheming backfires and reveals the long-held family secret of an unexpected relationship between Lilly and Jarena. The theme of forgiveness is a strong aspect of this story. As Moses says about some of his past, "Now here's the most important part, Jarena: I wouldn't change one thing in my life. There's been pain and sorrow, but I know that God was always in control."
From my standpoint the litmus test for this second title in the Freedom's Path series is to see how quickly I fall back in love with the characters from the first book, despite months of not reading anything about them. It transpired in an instant, and I immediately plunged back into the world of the 1880s; the experience was seamless and rich with drama. With MORNING SKY Judith Miller has created a remarkable story worthy of your reading attention.

Getting settled in Nicocemus.......2007-03-22
The all Colored town has finally gotten started. The adjacent all white town has a compassionate doctor, whose daughter has traveled away to school. She becomes ill with a mysterious illness which takes up a good portion of the book. Back home in Hill City, Truth and Moses are still in love, but is something wrong? Poor Jarena....is her betrothed really dead? Will she never marry? Of course the arrival of a wicked aunt has the Harban family in an uproar. What disturbance will she bring? Her revelations are at the heart of this book, and I am sure will play a major role in book three. Thank you Judith Miller
A Suspenseful Series That Keeps the Reader Turning the Page.......2006-07-20
Aunt Lilly Verdue traveled from New Orleans to Nicodemus and was desperate. Her situation was mysterious.
She carries a rabbit's foot and evil eye...items of voodoo magic. Yet she seems afraid of something...or someone.
The Harbans lives would change with Aunt Lilly there. Lilly's brother-in-law, Ezekiel, was not at all happy to see her. He felt bitterness towards her and hoped she would go back to New Orleans or anywhere else far away. She has a way of creating trouble for people through her manipulating ways.
Truth continued to work at the Boyles taking care of Mrs. Boyle, along with the household duties. Moses wants to marry Truth soon but what does Truth want?
With Macia sick at the school her mother insisted she attend, Truth is sent to bring her home. This becomes a difficult, and dangerous, task. Evil lurks at the school and Truth discovers that things are not what they appear.
Jarena fills in for Truth at the Boyles while she is gone. She longs to see Thomas again. Will that be possible? She hasn't received a letter from him for a long time. Then she receives news about him.
Morning Sky is Book Two of the Freedom's Path series by Judith Miller. First Dawn is Book One of the series.
Miller's detail of history and racial struggles in the late 1800's is accurate. She writes a suspenseful story that keeps the reader wondering what will happen next.
A Rich Historical Novel.......2006-07-06
In historical fiction, it's key to fall in love with the characters and the setting. If the book is good, then you want to return to these characters over and over. MORNING SKY is one of these books. It is well-written and the characters spring to life from the pen of Judith Miller. I enjoyed the drama and the tension combined with a solid Biblical message about forgiveness. I recommend this FREEDOM'S PATH series and look forward to the next one.
Excellent historical.......2006-04-21
Morning Sky is the second book in Judith Millers Freedom's Path Series about the Harban and Boyle families. Nicodemus, Kansas is settled by predominatly African-American familes while neighboring Hill City is mostly white.
Exekiel Harban is doing his best to keep his family together following the death of his wife. Then Lily Verdue, his sister-in-law, arrives from New Orleans. Exekiel suspects Lily is running from someone, which doesn't surprise him one bit. A free spirited woman who makes her own rules, Lily is not the kind of person he wants living in the same house with his daughters.
Before long, Lily starts to cause just the kind of trouble Exekiel feared. She tries to break up Truth's engagement to Moses Wyman, because she feels he would be better suited to Jarena. Nevermind that Jarena is in love with Thomas, who is serving in the army, fighting Indians. Lily is a woman of the world and knows what is best for her sheltered nieces.
Dr. Boyle asks Truth to travel to New York to see about his daughter Macia, who is enrolled in an exclusive finishing school. Macia has been sick ever since reaching the city. Truth uncovers a diabolic scheme which could be fatal to her friend.
The characters in Judith Miller's Morning Sky are so skillfully developed you will feel as if you know them as real people. Morning Sky is an intriguing story guaranteed to hold the readers attention from start to finish.

A Great Book.......1998-04-20
This book, the sequel to Before Night Falls, continues the story of Max and Emilie, but it also goes more in-depth into Wilhelm's search for Natalie, the rabbi's granddaughter, and it also introduces the story of a pastor in the Reich church and his close friendship with a Jewish family, especially their daughter. Though the plot was once again very captivating, I missed the romantic tension that was present in the first book. This book focused more on religious themes, and was uplifting. I enjoyed it a lot.

A novel of Contemplation.......2005-12-17
What would I do in her shoes runs through the reader's mind as they follow Hannah's tragic account?
Hannah is moving west in great anguish and in survival mode. Her husband Solomon, who had been a civil war hero, forfeited his own life to preserve his loved ones. He was Hannah's champion and now she is bereft. She is carrying a fatherless child and heading for Fort Bridger. She and Solomon were to open a mercantile together. Now she and the children are left to shoulder this overwhelming responsibility. They journey onward in fortitude trusting in Jesus Christ to sustain and open all the necessary doors. This is a great tale of unfailing faith!
Hannah is a godly loving woman anyone would love to cherish as their mother, sister, friend or neighbor. I just wanted to put my arms around this lady of uncompromising love.
Good Salvation message.......2001-07-17
This book was the first that I have read by Al/Joanna Lacy. Growing up in Washington, I am always interested in stories about the Oregon Trail. This book had likeable characters, a great message, and surprising accuracy about life and scenery on the Oregon Trail.
Wonderful book.......couldn't put it down........2000-05-29
This book is just wonderful...the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because it's not as good as some of Al Lacy's others. But that doesn't mean it isn't great. I bought this book and read it in one day. It captures your imagination and you feel right along with the characters.

Four women find friendship.......2007-02-20
Reviewed by Kim Peterson for Reader Views (1/07)
Military spouses often face new settings and the need to develop new friendships. Anne, Rachel, Karen, and Beth accept an invitation to attend a tea hosted by the Officers' Spouses Club (OSC). The four women want to represent their husbands well and meet expectations, yet limit their OSC involvement. They each sign up for the food committee hoping they have chosen an easy task.
The four women meet at the first committee meeting, and discover they have nothing in common but their role as military wives and this OSC commitment. They come from different backgrounds and religions and their first impressions aren't promising. But the ensuing year draws the women together into life-changing friendships. Together they weather challenges that test their marriages, their character and their faith.
Newlywed Anne adjusts to an interracial marriage and job difficulties. Karen struggles with an eating disorder and her failure to meet the exacting standards of her religion. Wealthy Rachel tries to keep her marriage together when money can't meet their emotional needs. Beth misses the military career she sacrificed to raise her children. Their realistic struggles with racial discrimination, religious searching, and marital and parental discontent are exacerbated by the unique demands of military life.
The author, a military wife, explores the dynamics of friendship under the duress of spouses serving in the armed forces yet finds common ground with female readers who lack the emotional support of living near family. Mitchell examines how friendships with those who are different from us broaden and deepen us; how good friends help us grow into better people. She also skillfully uses flashbacks to reveal how each woman became who she is and how she met her spouse. She pushes the story past the exploration of friendship to consider the stresses faced by marriages today and how faith provides hope and healing. Mitchell's novel, "Something Beyond the Sky," reminds readers to nurture their marriages, to find contentment in the present, and to enjoy good friends.
New Style everytime.......2007-01-24
I think one of the best things about Siri Mitchell's writing, is that with every book she is able to change her style. Some writers, all their books read the same, but she is able to write great books that do not have the same plot. An excellent read!
Couldn't put this book down!.......2006-11-25
I read this book in 8 days, it was so enjoyable. It was very true to life, as I am a military wife I can understand the characters and what they are going through. For anyone who wants to find out what military life can be about read this book.
This book is taunting me at my desk..........2006-07-13
As I type this, I'm sitting at my desk in need of completing a million things but I found myself googling this author to find out what else she's written...and I haven't even finished reading the book yet. She appreciates her readers, gentley unfolding the plot and characters. Siri is an awesome story-teller.
Four different women forge friendships amid the challenges of Air Force life.......2006-04-26
Anne Bradley, Beth Bennett, Karen Bannister and Rachel Hawthorne are wives of Air Force personnel. They meet when they sign up for the food committee of the Bullard Air Force Base Officers' Spouses' Club. Over the next nine months, while planning several different events, friendships between these women take shape and grow.
Anne Bradley is a newlywed far from her childhood home. She is also a new college graduate and wants to put her new degree in public relations to work. But she's finding out that the spouse of an Air Force officer isn't a prime candidate for employment. Prospective employers know she will be gone in a few years when her husband is transferred.
Rachel Hawthorne was born to wealth and privilege. Married to pilot R.J. she struggles to adjust to his much simpler and at times, incomprehensible, preferences. She fights to bring these two worlds together and when it seems her marriage is coming apart, it is her friendships that give her strength to keep going.
Karen Bannister thought she knew what she wanted out of life-to be a wife and a mom to a large group of kids. But as she grapples with infertility, this Mormon woman discovers what she may want is very different from what her beliefs dictate she must do. She battles to become the woman she wants to be and keep her marriage intact in the process.
Beth Bennett is an Air Force Academy graduate. She resigned her commission when her twins were born and regrets her decision. In the chaos that is her home, she longs for the discipline of the military office. Guilt over her feelings puts a strain on her marriage.
Something Beyond the Sky weaves together the tales of four different women and the friendships they forge. Siri Mitchell is a military wife and she does an excellent job of showing us that mysterious world with its unique challenges and hardships. This book is a good read for anyone who enjoys contemporary women's fiction.
