Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.
Book Description
Offers the first detailed analysis of Deng Xiaoping's "Grand Compromise"
Profiles the political will and tenacity of one of the greatest transformational political leaders of the twentieth century
Written by a top Department of Defense specialist in China issues
China and the Legacy of Deng Xiaoping documents a turning point in the Chinese communist revolution that elevates Deng to a role equal to that of Mao. Dr. Marti explores post-Tiananmen domestic political wrangling and offers the first documentation of Deng's efforts to link all the major elements of societythe PLA, the Party, the revolutionary elders, and the regional governorsinto a coalition whose survival depends on the success of his economic policies.
Understanding this sense of commitment to China's long-term goals has significant implications for predicting the outcome of the current struggle between the hardliners and reformers. By providing a new interpretation of Chinese behavior, China and the Legacy of Deng Xiaoping adds to the current debate among policy makers and academicians over the future direction of Chinese policy.

Excellent detailed look at Chinese politics.......2002-05-16
Everyone knows that Deng Xiaoping dramatically altered China's political and economic landscape. Few, however, realize to what great lengths he stretched himself to do so. Dr. Michael Marti gives a detailed inside look at the factional wrangling that dominated Chinese political affairs in the early 1990s, which set China upon its current developmental path. Well-written, well-documented research, easy-to-read despite the density of information provided, I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in Chinese politics.

Best Drills.......2006-06-29
When I read about these drills in this book at first, these drills didn't appeal to me at all, but I still wanted to give it a try.
After working on these drill what a surprise I am hitting the ball more solid with less effort.
If you are serious about the game, definitely give these drills a try.
7 years of on/off use Gravity Golf drills.......2006-02-18
About 7 years ago, I started playing golf by going through a traditional PGA professional. I was in high school at the time, so I also tried out for the high school golf time - not suprisingly, I didn't make the team. That summer, I saw an infomercial on the Gravity Golf Videos and was immediately interested (good marketing). When I saw the book in a local golf equipment store, I bought it and applied it's drills. The next year, I tried out for the golf team again and the other players and the coaches noticed how much better my swing was and how much farther the ball would travel on drives. While I was still far from being the best player on the team, I was most certainly the longest driver.
The meat and potatoes part of the book is most certainly the swing drills. The chapter before hand on the theory behind the "gravity swing" is very interesting but not necessary to gain something from the book. For somebody who wants to get straight to the heart, I'd recommend skipping the first few chapters and reading the "gravity swing" chapter and onward. In essence of learning the "gravity swing" is through proprioception (a.k.a. muscle memory). In a nutshell it means learning to swing a golf club through drills.
In the end, this method teaches a swing that has a lot of power but lacks control. Most of the time I can hit a predictable shot, but if I get off slightly the ball could end up anywhere (which is what kept me from doing well on the high school golf team). All in all, I'm a casual golfer and do enjoy it when I can hit a really long ball while playing a round to impress my collegues.
The book really has everything you need, and despite what the book may tell you, the videos are not necessary to gain a full understanding of the process of gravity golf. For somebody looking for distance at the expense of control and some bizzare looking drills, I'd recommend this book.
massive drives.......2005-08-12
Prior to the drills I could barely find 265 yards after the roll. Now I easily get 270 yards on the fly. People on the range stand there and gawk.
amazing.......2004-07-27
This comes from a 40 year old overweight third year hacker, who couldnt break 100 with a hammer. In one month of doing the gravity golf drills i was shooting in the ninties (do to lack of short game) hitting the ball incredibly well. 4 people including a pro told me my swing looked better. It felt better my confidence is up i should be in the eighties in no time. I have tried every training aid and type of instruction there is and nothing comes close to the gravity system. Send me an e-mail for further updates.
Gravity Golf really works!.......2000-11-05
Gravity Golf really works!
This book is chock-full of information on the most energy-efficent way to swing a golf club. I've read this book many, many times and the more you read it and do the practice drills, the more you will understand the information that David Lee presents. Also, the video tapes that Lee sells from his infomercials and web site are helpful in understanding the training system.
Ernie Els and Fred Couples are "pure gravity" players. Many, many of the other top money winners on the PGA Tour are graviy players too. The problem is that most of these first-class golfers know how to swing using the Gravity Golf "mechanisim", but these golfers have difficulty explaining how they hit the golf ball so far and straight with so little effort using this mechainism. David Lee has developed the traing system to learn how to swing like Els and Couples.
This book must be re-read many, many times in conjunction with the practice drills. The video tapes that David Lee sells are helpful too. The best of all, go to a Gravity Golf school. Then, read and re-read the book and the Gravity Golf system will become crystal clear.
I belive that twenty years from now, this teaching methodology will be the "industry standard" way that golfers will trained--novice to Tour caliber. Many "copy-cat" golf instructors have already adopted many of the teaching techniques originally developed by David Lee.
Be prepared to allocate the time to hit many practice balls. Golf will become fun and practice, using the drills, will become informative. You will learn how and why good shots happen and why bad shots happen. The Gravity Golf system is not an instant miricle, but it is the "real thing", when it comes to the golf swing.
I am a Gravity Golf believer!
Book Description
Theodore H. Von Laue's stunningly original and controversial book approaches the dynamics of twentieth-century history from an entirely new perspective by proposing that the little-understood historic process known as the world revolution of Westernization has caused the global violence and warfare of this century. Accounting for world wars, the rise of communism and fascism, decolonization, Third World dictatorships, and contemporary terrorism, Von Laue describes the twin processes of the expansion of Western power and the emergence of global interdependence. His journey through the twentieth century begins in the 1870s with the British raj in India; includes the colonization of Africa, the communist and fascist "counter-revolutions," the Great Depression, Stalinism and Hitler's unleashing of World War II, and the post-war emergence of the United States as the foremost superpower; and ends with the nuclear arms race, the most dangerous of all global tensions. As a challenging history of the contemporary age, this book will make readers think more globally and compassionately about the complex issues that threaten our peace and survival as we prepare to enter the twenty-first century.

Interesting.......2007-01-09
Ant interesting book about information management in an organizational holistic approach. Good tips and reflection.
Incomplete.......2006-11-26
This book is more of a workbook than a stand alone book. It appears to be best used as part of a workshop for someone who is willing to set aside a considerable amount of time to provide detailed answers to the hundreds of questions they pose. Additionally, the material is superficial. The 5 steps they propose for evolutionary growth suggest linear, step-wise growth and ignore realities of large, complex organizations that may have elements of all 5 stages. The model appears to be applicable to well defined commercial entities. It is not always clear what the research is based on, and it is not clear how applicable results may be to government or non-profit entities.
Real World Wisdom.......2006-04-07
This book goes WAY beyond the surface. It gives practical advice to succeeding by effectively using corporate information.
Book Description
In The Adapted Mind, Jerome Barkow, along with Leda Cosmides and John Tooby, set out to redefine evolutionary psychology for the social sciences and to create a new agenda for the next generation of social scientists. While biologically oriented psychologists quickly accepted the work, social scientists in psychology and researchers in anthropology and sociology, who deal with the same questions of human behavior, were more resistant. Missing the Revolution is an invitation to researchers from these disciplines who, in Barkow's view, have been missing the great evolution-revolution of our time to engage with Darwinian thought, which is now so large a part of the non-sociological study of human nature and society. Barkow asks the reader to put aside the preconceptions and stereotypes social scientists often have of the "biological" and to take into account a powerful paradigm that is far away from those past generations who would invoke a vocabulary of "genes" and "Darwin" as justification for genocide. The evolutionary perspective, Barkow maintains, provides no particular support for the status quo, no rationalizations for racism or any other form of social inequality. "Cultural" cannot possibly be opposed to "biological" because culture and society are the only means we have of expressing our evolved psychology; social-cultural constructionism is not only compatible with an evolutionary approach but demanded by it. To marshal evidence for his argument, Barkow has gathered together eminent scholars from a variety of disciplines to present applications of evolutionary psychology in a manner intended to illustrate their relevance to current concerns for social scientists. The contributors include, among others, evolutionary psychologist Anne Campbell, a Darwinian feminist who reaches out to feminist social cosntructionists; sociologist Ulica Segarstrale, who analyzes the opposition of the "cultural left" to Darwinism; sociologist Bernd Baldus, who criticizes evolutionists for ignoring agency; criminologist Anthony Walsh, who presents a biosocial criminology; and primatologists Lars Rodseth and Shannon A. Novak, who reveal an unexpected uniqueness to human social organization. Missing the Revolution is a challenge to scholars to think critically about a powerful social and intellectual movement which insists that the theoretical perspective that has been so successful when applied to the behavior of other animal species can be applied to our own.
Book Description
Since the turn of the twentieth century, telecommunications has shifted from traditional voice transport to data transport, although digitized voice is still a large contributor. Instead of an evolution of existing transport standards, a revolution was necessary in order to enable additional data-related transport.
Next Generation SDH/SONET provides a detailed description of the enablers of efficient data transport over any synchronous network. These include virtual concatenation (VCAT), the operation to provide more granularity, and the link capacity adjustment scheme (LCAS), an extension of VCAT that provides more flexibility. Equally, generic framing procedure (GFP), the methodology that efficiently transports asynchronous, or variable bit-rate data signals over a synchronous or constant bit-rate, is explored in detail.
● Describes new extensions to SDH/SONET standards to provide more granularity and flexibility in their structures, enabling the efficient transport of data-related signals such as Ethernet and FICON
● Presents comprehensive sections on the implementation of multi-service transport platforms (MSTP) enabled by VCAT, LCAS and GFP
● Provides valuable advice on how to exploit existing networks to create or extend LANs towards metro (MAN) or wide (WAN) area networks and also to support storage area (SAN) networks
This volume will appeal to manufacturers, engineers and all those involved in developing and deploying SDH, SONET and OTN technology. It will also be an invaluable resource for postgraduate students on network communications courses.

Darwin Undone.......2003-05-15
This is an excellent book written by a brilliant author. It details the line of progenitors leading up to Darwin's theory as well as the historical milieu in which Darwin swam during his lifetime and some of the forces, social and otherwise, that influenced him prior to Origin of Species and beyond. Himmelfarb gives an insightful criticism of Darwin's theory working simply from the internal organization of Darwin's thoughts. Himmelfarb is so brilliant in her analysis that my only criticism of the book is that she didn't critcize the theory in a more detailed fashion.
But it is a very readable and accessible book, and one that clearly points out some of the failings of Darwinian theory, many of which have been picked up by other critics over the years. However, I suspect that for the more sophisticated critic of Darwin, this book lacks sufficient scientific evidence--though it remains a fine history of the person, his theory, and its reception at the time of publication.
At Long Last!.......1999-12-24
All of the books I have ever read about Darwin either extoll him a a perfect, God-like creature, or vilify him as a demon. This book provides a comprehensive view of Darwin as he was, that is, as he saw himself and as others saw him. I was surprised to read that Darwin had many predecessors in the development of his theory, and that the flaws of the theory (which are significant) were generally recognized long before the challenges of modern science pointed them out. If you want your fancies about Darwin tickled, read others. If you want the facts, read Himmelfarb. I strongly recommend this book.
Book Description
In this innovative study Clive Gamble presents and questions two of the most famous descriptions of change in prehistory. The first is the 'human revolution', when evidence for art, music, religion and language first appears. The second is the economic and social revolution of the Neolithic period. Gamble identifies the historical agendas behind 'origins research' and presents a bold new alternative to these established frameworks, relating the study of change to the material basis of human identity. He examines, through artefact proxies, how changing identities can be understood using embodied material metaphors and in two major case-studies charts the prehistory of innovations, asking, did agriculture really change the social world? This is an important and challenging book that will be essential reading for every student and scholar of prehistory.
Book Description
Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.-Ben FranklinThe brewing industry has been an integral part of the American fabric from the very beginning. In fact, a brewery was one of the first structures built by early colonists. Because beer was safer to drink than water (having been boiled), it was the drink of choice for all age groups, from breakfast to bedtime. After the young nation won its independence, George Washington declared his support of the beer industry by stating he would henceforth drink only porters brewed in America. This lavishly designed history tells the story of American brewing through wars, tax hikes, Prohibition, consolidation, depression, recession, and the microbrewery boom that revived the industry beginning in the late 1980s. Archival and modern imagery and photographs depict buildings inside and out, workers, the production process, and equipment. In addition, sidebars feature memorabilia, home brewing, and famous recipes from the pilgrims to present. Readers will witness how breweries flourished and suffered like any other American houses of manufacture, from a peak of 4,131 breweries in 1873 to an industry low of 80 in 1983.
