Book Description

Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.

Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.

5 out of 5 stars Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09

There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.

For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.

5 out of 5 stars Very Interesting.......2007-03-07

It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.

4 out of 5 stars History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10

Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.

I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.

Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.

Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.

I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.

This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Book Description

Understand the nature of your mind and exactly how it interacts with matter at the quantum level to produce manifestations, magick and miracles.

Learn the nature of the universe in which we live and the exact process by which you can change your destiny by mere faith and imagination.

Understand how modern physics demonstrates the absolute immortality of your consciousness, your mind, your spirit.

The Universe and Multiple Reality presents a viewpoint dramatically different from the currently fashionable scientific interpretation of modern physics, an interpretation that denies the most important part of recent scientific discoveries: the mind and its effect on reality.

The Universe and Multiple Reality explains the exact physical processes by which paranormal events operate, including how miracles, magick and manifesting occur.

This book is a must for any person curious about the place their mind occupies in the cosmic scheme of things.

The Universe and Multiple Reality breaks new ground. There are a great many books on "parallel universes," on quantum physics and multiple reality--but none that proffers an understandable theory on how the human mind interacts with multiple realities at the quantum level to produce palpable physical effects.

1 out of 5 stars The Universe and Multiple Reality, by M R Franks.......2007-09-04

It deseves one star, at the most, compared to other books published on the same subject.

3 out of 5 stars I Question Some of the Concepts.......2005-05-31

I had a very mixed reaction of this book, which served as the catalyst for my recent paper on parallel universes and found it to be a very interesting read. What I most appreciated however was that when I asked M.R. Franks about some details in his book he sent me three articles within about two hours. What disappointed me however was the shortness of the book and the focas on cited works from other authors and I don't really buy the andriod therory persented at the end of this book.

4 out of 5 stars Very Interesting..But..........2004-08-03

Let me first say that I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book..but I have a few questions.

The basic idea behind the theory is that any two contiguous frames differs by ONE quantum state. There are infinite number of such frames through which consciousness traverses contiguously.

Then Mr.Franks writes that the case is so becoz nature doesn't like voids and hence creates all permutations and combinations of frames possible.

So my question is that if nature doesn't like voids then why accept quantum states as constant. In other words why can't nature create and fit in another infinite set of frames between the two quantum states by which any two contiguous frames differ as postulated by this theory? Isn't the gap between the two quantum states a "void"?

5 out of 5 stars Galileo or Einstein.......2004-04-21

"Postulates with no explanation" is also what critics said of Galileo and Einstein. Such criticism usually comes from those heavily invested in the current orthodoxy, from those unable or unwilling to see beyond the box.

Genius, it is said, instantly recognizes genius, while mediocrity knows nothing better than itself.

This book is BRILLIANT!

Recall Occam's Razor: The simplest explanation is probably the correct one. Einstein's General Theory of Relativity didn't drone on for hundreds and hundreds of pages. Those who fault brevity should spend their money on longer, more expensive, but far less insightful works.

This book, however, can change your view of the universe and even of life itself. It's a must for those with the courage to view things differently but far more clearly.

3 out of 5 stars I couldn't agree more..........2004-04-05

I agree completely with the previous reviewer - postulates with no explanations - is what you will find in this short book, filled mainly with quotes from other authors & experts. I was also inclined to read the book since it received such a positive online rating. However, further inspection of the reader reviews show they are redundant, lacking real substance, and biased. Why else would a reader seek to criticize all other similar titles (ex. The Elegant Universe, The Theory of Everything and even Deutsch's great writing) with the same useless lingo of 'bunny fluff', 'puffery', etc. only to recommend this book in each? I am sorry, the only thing PUFFED up, are some of the reviews.

As an intelligent reader and theorist who has studied parallel universes and quantum physics, I prefer a text that answers what it claims to, not a brief with quotes from authors, whom have ironically been bashed. I was left more confused than satisfied and asked myself "what IS the purpose of this book"?

Although a bit disappointing, it remains a good read but is much better as an extensive editorial. I gave the author an extra star for creativity, intellect and excellence in writing but would have really preferred to read about his own perspectives/theories to offer an explanation to the postulates put forth in the book.

For my taste, the book was helpful but somewhat technical and more of an instructional or clinical approach to the topic of Miracles. Worth the time it took to read a short book less than 100 pages.

4 out of 5 stars Deep Discovery.......2006-10-04

Although I have neither the intelligence nor the schooling in philosophy and physics to grasp all of Jaki's arguments in favor of miracles, I did manage to pick up a few very important and fascinating ideas.

Jaki points out that what we call "common sense" is often just following the "climate of thought" of a particular era. But to really apply common sense, one must step out of the climate of thought and think independently, something we too seldom do.

People use Einstein's Theory of Relativity to justify moral relativism. Jaki explains how this is entirely backwards, demonstrating that relativity "...is the most absolutist physical theory ever proposed."

Such misunderstandings cut both ways. Jaki discusses how philosophers and scientists misinterpret scientific ideas in attempts to defend miracles. The ideas of science and philosophy are interconnected, but fully understanding those ideas and their true interconnections is a daunting task.

4 out of 5 stars I guess my first review went into a parallel universe?.......2000-07-31

I'll try again. "Miracle in the Void" was more of a psychological book than a parapsychological book. That's okay. I liked the book because I identified with the people mentioned who work in so-called "fringe science research." "Void" explores the emotions and psychological tensions experienced by many researchers for doing unusual research and for taking a path of life-employment not considered "normal." Not a "normal science career" was the same life-employment for Dr. Brian O'Leary, too. The choice has caused him strain.

If a reader doesn't appreciate this book, my guess is that either it's too much in the head of the author or it doesn't ring bells of similarity to one's experience. In fact one high recommendation to read this book "is" that it effectively conveys the emotional feelings and turmoil that Dr. Brian O'Leary has gone through for jumping off of a mainstream science position into the unknown area of New Science. New Science investigates U.F.O's, prayer, free energy, phychic experiences, and so on.

It's interesting to read of the mental struggles Dr. O'Leary has gone through. This book is something of a journal and a catharsis for him. Dr. O'Leary even applies the research lives of some in the book, like Bruce and John Klingbeil of Spindrift Research, as models to avoid if one gets very depressed in their research attempts. A theme in "Void" is mental depression and what can one do to avoid depression when the world is telling you that your pursuits are insane or at least abnormal.

A reader should be interested in this book for no other reason than it is so unusual and psychological that one will walk away with information he didn't know he didn't know.

4 out of 5 stars The Psychologist in the Void........2000-07-29

The book "Miracle in the Void" had an emotional impact on me because I know of the personal struggles some of the explorers mentioned in the book have gone through.

There was much psychological struggling described in Dr. O'Leary's book. Dr. O'Leary applied as models the life-experiences of some people who explore "so-called fringe sceientific research." Some of these people were models of what to avoid in Dr. O'Leary's own life-experience. That is, if some researcher fell into a mental depression because of the negative way he was treated for doing fringe research, Brian O'Leary writes that such a reaction provided a hint of what psychological reaction to avoid himself. Brain O'Leary didn't want to get too depressed himself. And depression is a theme in this book.

Dr. O'Leary has more descriptions of New Science theory and experiments in his other writings. However, "Miracle in the Void" is a stand-alone book, to the best of my knowledge, of the psychological warfare with others and with one's self many people with "far-out" ideas go through.

I liked the book. It's psychological all the way through. It wonders more about the mental states of people rather than the altered states of people! The book is almost a journal of what Brian O'Leary has noticed in his contacts with those researching the unusual.

Dr. O'Leary's book is an emotional ride. His writing hit me as a "catharsis" of all the emotions he has experienced by jumping off the mainstream of science into what is called New Science.

As I said above, one good reason to read this book is, it may be the only one of its kind. What do I mean? Rather than going deeply into psychic and spiritual phenomena, Dr. O'Leary goes into the psychological states of people who promote their unusual experiences with free energy, prayer, consciousness, UFO's, and so on. I didn't anticipate what the book was about. That should peak one's interest in reading it.

2 out of 5 stars Too much airy speculation about death and consciousness........1998-05-18

Readers expecting useful information on the book's subtitle, "Free Energy, UFOs and Other Scientific Revelations", will be disappointed, Although a scientist, O'Leary is light on the science of free energy. He is far more concerned with death, consciousness, personal introspection, transcendence, parapsychology and resurrecting Gaia than in offering a strong explanation of advances in energy technology. O'Leary still thinks there are remains of a lost civilization on Mars. "Finding Myself in the New Consciousness" would have been a better description.

1 out of 5 stars NO STARS for this BADLY WRITTEN, EMPTY WHITE BREAD story........2004-09-17

A Matter of Time, by Alexander Michael Giorgio is what is called in the industry, 'a vanity piece' commonly written by a pseudo-spiritual guru 'trying' to write a book just to say he has written a book and elevate his status to 'author'. This is the kind of work that vanity presses and self-publishing was created to service. Who wrote those jacket reviews? And why? The book is simply nothing like they describe. It does not "awaken the reader to the truth ... that there is only ... love", nor, "very, very enjoyable", nor does "point up nicely ... salient concepts inherent in A Course in Miracles". It is as "gentle" as empty white bread and has none of the mental or spiritual nutrients that are listed on its label (jacket or reviews). It is certainly not, as its content would hope to persuade you, a lesson on returning to love, it seems much more to be a cry for love (and validation) from the author. Or maybe a cry for attention from someone who is trying to ride to success on the coat-tails of The Course of Miracles (or the teaching fables of the Children's Material from Course in Miracles). Without any authentic experience to contribute of his own, the author leans on stereo photography (which is normal binocular vision), manipulating it in the same way he manipulates the English language -- like a gimmick to inspire us to 'deeper dimensional vision' and 'new realities'. For lack of any realworld, meaningful spiritual experience he poses his message as a fictional children's book, where (I cannot help but speculate), his authority will not be called into question and his audience will be less discerning.

To illustrate this in real terms, this book is 70 pages of over-huge text, sprawling paragraphs, where a basically empty message of abysmally presented quantum concepts of time and space is hybridized with spiritual concepts of love, ego, oneness and forgiveness. The bad writing and poor grammar grate right from the first page of the story (which is actually page 15), "Truck after loaded truck rumbled past, pushing their way through ash-covered streets." And those of us who love English, have respect for quantum physics and the Course of Miracles, are very soon completely alienated as the author unabashedly manipulates the English language beyond recognition simply to accommodate his point(or perhaps in an attempt to demonstrate his imagined cleverness?). I paraphrase here to illustrate -- Time and space and ME and GO needed to create a three letter word to call their business of separation from Oneness because One and God were three letter words, so they decided against calling it MEG and went with EGO since it seemed to have more drive to it.

I finished the book so disturbed, I was moved to write this review. In my opinion as a professional human potential publisher, a student of 'The Course', and a loving human and parent, this book is a waste of time and space... not to mention money. More important, it has no place in spiritual literature or children's literature.

    5 out of 5 stars A Matter of Time.......2001-11-28

A Matter of Time is a delightful story which portrays a complex truth in a simple way. I very much enjoyed reading this beautiful, clear and captivating book, in which Alexander M. Giorgio shows the human soul a way "home" - a yearning which we all have.

    5 out of 5 stars A Matter of Time.......2001-11-15

I very much liked reading "A Matter of Time". It's told as a story, like Gibran's "The Prophet", yet reads like poetry. A friend of mine recommended the book after attending a workshop. I found myself wanting to re-read pages listening to the sound of the written words. Very simply, the book speaks about ego and love, sharing moments of wonder and innocence; it's about connecting and being conscious in a complex world. Reading the book left a warm feeling, like deep-hugging my four-year-old daughter. Hugging her is an act of innocence and profound meaning. The book addresses time passages and conscious experience in this way.

It's the kind of book you can read over-and-over, quick reading with colorful words that leave a sense of peace.

        Book Description

This book on the conception, development and application of metallic materials with high specific strength and high specific stiffness, or high structural efficiency, encompasses the scientific foundation necessary to control properties through control of composition, processing and microstructure, and also addresses the current state of the development of such materials as well as the conception of new metallic materials with high structural efficiency. The dominant emphasis is on aerospace applications. A number of new developments are presented, including information on titanium alloys modified with boron and silicon to provide dramatic improvements in strength and stiffness, and new aluminium alloys strengthened with quasi-crystalline precipitates for good high temperature properties. There is also an extensive update on sever plastic deformation and on nanocrystalline metals for structural applications.
