GR8.......2007-03-09
This is a great textbook to read, easy to swallow.
I think this is a must read for every radiology resident before starting subspecialized books.
Useful resource.......2006-12-30
As a radiation oncologist, I find this book very useful and turn to it on many occasions. I do not need a text that goes into a great deal of depth about all aspects of radiology, but I need a resource to turn to when I find myself having to interpret abnormal pathology on imaging (beyond what the radiologist's report says). This book meets that purpose. It is easy to use, has just enough depth and breadth, and is full of beautiful pictures. I highly recommend it.
Excellent First Read.......2003-11-15
This is an excellent introductory text book in radiology. It contains excellent images and covers the key fundamentals in radiology. It would be ideal for the PGY1 or PGY2 resident to read through to gain familarity in radiology before moving on to the major reference texts. Very readable book that does not overwhelm the junior resident with needless minutia.
Fundamental of Diagnostic Radiology.......2002-12-02
This is the single excellent book for Radiology Residents and General Radiologists. Seperate sections on US and NM are the best parts of this book. CT Scan and MRI are dispersed with the General Radiology. If the authors create seperate sections of CT and MRI like US and NM in the next edition, the book will become the only perfect book in General Radiology. This book contains treasure of knowledge for the Radiology residents and racticing General Radiologists.
Concise but not enough for residency........2001-11-14
Not a bad overview of most subjects, but some areas are lacking. The bone trauma subsection is particularly scant, excluding all of the fracture grading schemes. Additionally, while somewhat dedicated to differential generating, you don't really get a feel for what is actually common.
Book Description
Completely updated to reflect revolutionary changes in technology and practice, the Fourth Edition of this best-selling reference features state-of-the-art coverage of multislice CT scanners and three-dimensional imaging, plus a new chapter on the acute abdomen and new material on CT and MR angiography, lung cancer screening, pulmonary embolism, coronary artery calcium screening, and interventional CT techniques including radiofrequency ablation and CT fluoroscopy. More than 5,000 illustrations--mostly new 3D and multiplanar images--complement the text. Each organ system chapter demonstrates imaging techniques, normal CT/MRI anatomy, and pathologic findings. The authors indicate where MRI complements or supplements CT or has supplanted CT as the primary imaging modality.
Book Description
This new volume in the popular Radiology Requisites series efficiently presents all of the core knowledge in general, vascular, and obstetric/gynecologic ultrasound. It covers everything from basic principles through state-of-the-art tech-niques, with a focus on the specific information needed to pass the boards and practice radiology. Concise but compre-hensive, it is extremely easy to read, with abundant charts and lists to summarize important facts at a glance.

Outstanding.......2007-08-30
Great book that cover general and obstetric ultrasound in a concise way.
Highly recommended.
This Book Rules!.......2006-11-17
I found myself reading this book when I had some free time at work, before I bought my own. It covers Abdomen and OB-GYN, so you dont need another book. For a textbook, its easy to read and the pictures are fantastic, so you know when you see it on your patient. I sold my other text books because I acutally read this one and refer to it. I love this book!!!
Great Book.......2006-07-29
I am a second year radiology resident. I just completed my first US rotation. I used this book and thought it was great. It has nice pictures and a well-put-together text. All in all, I highly recommend it. One of the best of the Requisites series!
Must have for US library.......2005-10-12
This is an excellent reference book with beautiful images of normal anatomy as well as pathology. It is very comprehensive with General as well as OB-Gyn coverage. My only disappointment was that it did not contain any pediatric ultrasound chapters.
Five Star book for residents.......2004-03-31
Very Practical book. Easy to read. Superb illustrations. No unneccesary details. Giving maximum knowledge in very little time.

Musculoskeletal Imaging.......2007-03-12
I needed this book for a Radiology in Rehabilitation class and it came to me in great condition. I got a good price for it and it was still in its plastic when I received it about a week later. This book was well-needed and the seller did a timely job!
Review of Fundamentals of Musculoskeletal Imaging.......2006-11-05
The content is excellent. For the most part, the author does a nice job of presenting the material in an easily understood manner. I would have liked to see more information on normal views of each joint presented, including CT and MRI various views. A reference to a radiographic atlas may be helpful. I would have liked to see more arrows pointing to the part in question. The film may be labled ACL tear for example, but an arrow pointing exactly to where the tear is would be helpful for beginners like my self. More in depth information about fracture hardware and explanation of load sharing vs load bearing would have been nice. There are a number of typos and printing errors. The book lists answers to the chapter review questions but does not include some chapters. On more than one occasion, the book refers the reader back to a table or figure in a previous chapter but the table or figure does not end up being at all connected to why they referred you back.
good book, worthwhile.......2006-02-18
this book was a nice compliment to learning. nice illustrations and smooth reading. will be able to use as a resource for future, not just the class that i bought it for
Fundamentals of Musculoskeletal Imaging (Contemporary Perspectives in Rehabilitation).......2005-09-25
Written by a PT and great for non-radiologists. Line drawings with pictures overlays to plain films helpful. Must have for PT personal library.

ultrasonography in obsterics and gynacology by callen.......2002-02-06
I like the book very much. As a student I have difficulties for difficult words. It is a great book for the experts but hard for the students.
Millinium book.......2000-07-26
This book must be very good. As were the previous editions which showed insight, and deep knowledge of this highly interesting and rapidly changing and popular feild of sonography, requiring frequent updates.

Book Description
Completely updated for its Second Edition, this text is a comprehensive guide to state-of-the-art treatment planning techniques in radiation oncology. The book provides the treatment planning team--radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and medical dosimetrists--with detailed information on both the physics of radiation treatment planning and the clinical aspects of radiotherapy for specific cancers. More than 600 illustrations provide practical examples of the methodologies. Brand-new chapters in this edition cover image-guided radiation therapy, high dose rate brachytherapy, and brachytherapy treatment planning algorithms. The chapters have been completely updated, particularly in areas including intensity-modulated radiation therapy and brachytherapy.
Customer Reviews:
Recommended for Understanding RT; for Dosimetry etc.......2003-07-29
Understanding various aspects of RT in a concise manner from the experts themselves is very appealing. The editors have done a good work of collating the best from the minds in the advancing fields of RT, 3DCRT, IMRT, brachytherapy and STRT. All these topics are presented with contrasting Isodose profiles and respective techniques; give a good grasp of the subjects that form the basis of today's best work aimed for in established radiation oncology treatment centers.
The important aspect of the book is in keeping it simple to understand. This is great and emphasizes the use of the techniques in practical terms rather than in a less appealing theoretical concept.
I recommend it to every dosimetrist, like myself, RTs, oncologists, and even medical physicists. A must have for every upcoming student in Radiation Oncology. Thanks to Dr.Khan and Dr.Potish.

An average book on treatment planning in radiotherapy.......2000-04-02
In my view not the best book by this author. The previous book Physics of Radiation Therapy described in minute detail the fundamental physics, and with that was particularly aimed at the novice in Radiotherapy Physics. This book is much more general in nature and provides an overview of what is/should be state-of-the art in radiotherapy treatment planning. However, people active in the field should be familiar with that, and in that respect this book offers not much new. Despite my criticism it is a convenient overview in just one book.

Optical Coherence Tomography: Principles and Applications
ASIN: 0824705580 |
Book Description
This contemporary reference presents a comprehensive review of the most recent applications of optical coherence tomography (OCT) in biology, medicine, engineering, and applied physics-summarizing technological advances that led to the availability of viable imaging tools and modern methods of OCT for optical biopsy, surgical guidance, and quality control of advanced composites in situ.
Book Description
A favorite of radiology residents and practitioners alike, Fundamentals of Body CT makes it remarkably simple to learn how to perform and interpret CT scans. The completely revised and updated 3rd Edition covers the most recent advances in CT technique, including the use of multislice CT to diagnose chest, abdominal, and musculoskeletal abnormalities, as well as the expanded role of 3D CT and CT angiography in clinical practice. The result is today's most accessible, affordable introduction to body CT!
Customer Reviews:
Good content poor binding.......2007-09-27
FYI: Book content is good, however the crafting/binding is poor. Without much use several pages are falling off.
Great introduction to body ct.......2007-09-20
This book cover all the basic stuff needed in body ct. It should be used as a introduction to the subject.
Highly recommended.
Good book but poor quality.......2007-01-10
I am a first-year Radiology resident that was looking for an introductory book that was easy to finish on my first Body CT rotation. The Fundamentals book was a good text with all the necessary info to build upon. The only negative thing I have to say is that the quality of the binding was terrible. After about a week the binding fell apart so that now the final 150+ pages are no longer bound to the book. I'm pretty finiky about books and take care of them, so it's pretty disappointing. Otherwise, its a good first text.
good book if you don't own Fundamentals of Diagnostic Radiology.......2005-12-13
This is a great book with excellent information on body CT imaging.
The reason I give it three stars instead of five is that it's basically an excerpt from the main text of Fundamentals of Diagnostic Radiology.
If you already own that book, don't buy this one.
Otherwise, I highly recommend it.
Body CT summarized.......2001-09-15
An ideal text for easy use which highlights the basic anatomy needed for interpreting CTs and the salient points needed to make diagnosis.
Book Description
This book is widely considered the definitive comprehensive reference work on adult and pediatric ultrasonography. Its user-friendly, well-organized approach, exceptional color Doppler images, and color boxes highlighting critical diagnostic features have made it a best seller. Particularly popular are its unique image collages, which effectively capture the wide spectrum of ultrasound findings associated with each disorder. The new, 3rd Edition features 5 brand-new chapters, 50% new images, a wealth of information on new contrast agents and new technologies, and many other "must-have" updates.
Customer Reviews:
Great comprehensive reference in Ultrasound.......2005-08-06
It cover almost everythings you need in Ultrasound practise, great reference guide for those people who have just start thier Ultrasound practise. Moreover, those information in the book are with up to date Ultrasound technology. All in all, great book and worth the money that I spend !!!!!
Displeased with a few Chapters.......2002-05-03
Some of these chapters are out of date and not useful for the radiologist in general practice. I especially disprove of the Charboneau chapters. Rumack and Wilson are excellent!
Ýt must be an Ýnitial for introduceing sonography.......1999-02-16
A resident must read this book first to learn sonografy best.
Allow ý am radiologist any more it must be in my library too.
The GOLD Standard again!!.......1998-08-04
The New England Journal of Medicine (April 9, 1998) and Mayo Clinic Proceedings (May,1998) gave this new edition the highest review (5 Stars). That's as good as it gets.
an excellent book!.......1998-07-03
If the first edition was brilhant this 2nd edition is a must in the field of diagnostic ultrasound. There is an answer of vitually any subject, all with a table with a brief resume. Fotographs are very clear and cover almost every topic. The editors may be proud of its creation, a definitive book in this ever changing and growing medical speciality.
