Book Description

Telos, channeled spiritual messages from the Earth's Interior. Timely and fascinating messages from the people of the ancient civilization of Lemuria, living in the fifth dimensional city of Telos beneath Mount Shasta, CA.

Telos is an ancient Lemurian City of Light that is real and still exists to this day in the physical realm, underneath Mount Shasta. Re-acquaint yourself with Adama, the High Priest of Telos and your eternal father, as he describes the kind of Earthly paradise they have forged for themselves as they raised their consciousness to a fifth dimensional reality. They are the survivors of the lost continent of Mu who perished beneath of waves of the Pacific Ocean over 12,000 years ago. Our Lemurian brothers and sisters of Telos and our former family of ancient times are soon looking forward to coming out, when we are ready, to teach us how to do the same here on the surface.

Due to their isolation from the surface population, they have succeeded in creating a civilization of peace and abundance, with no sickness, aging or death. They have mastered immortality in physical expression and they wish to teach us to do the same. Vividly and heroically, Telos delivers a clear understanding of what is required on the surface to create a prosperous society and a healthy environment. The Telosians and many other spiritually advanced civilizations are very real inside the Earth. They are coming forward at this time to inspire us to follow in their footsteps.

The return of the Lemurians and their eventual emergence among us is nothing less than the "Second Coming" that we have been waiting for, for so very long. The Lemurians have long achieved the fullness of the Christ consciousness, and as we are ready to receive them among us, they will teach us how to implement, right here on the surface of this planet, the type of paradise they have forged for themselves in Telos. They will assist us in building a golden age that will manifest the fullness of the Christ consciousness, which is the divinity that has always been there within our hearts. The indwelling Christ of our being becoming tangibly manifested on this planet and in our daily lives.

Here is what Adama has to say at this time: It is with much delight and anticipation that we bring to you the memories of Lemuria. Though these memories have appeared to be lost for a while, they have continued to live and thrive in your hearts unto this now moment in time. In Telos, we are honored to join hearts with you, and to assist in the unification of our two civilizations.

We send you much love from Telos, where this divine energy flows in great abundance. Until we meet, keep practicing the art of true love, which starts with loving yourself. May love abound in your heart for each other and for all of creation, as precious jewels and expressions of the Love of the Mother/Father God! We hold you dearly in our hearts. Adama.

5 out of 5 stars Great Information on Lemuria.......2007-09-16

All I can say is WOW!!!! I am an avid reader of the history and the people of Lemuria and this book completely resonated with all that I believe to be true about Mu. Anyone who is interested in Lemuria should read this book. I found the channeled information to be intoxicating, and I could not put the book down, and am now onto the other books in the series. The author is extremely talented in both her metaphysical skills and her ability to communicate expressively and descriptively throughout the book - the flow from chapter to chapter is amazing.
Definant MUST read!!

    Product Description

Here is what Adama of Telos has to say: It is with great love and much support from the many realms of Light of Telos and beyond, that the third volume of the Telos series is presented to you at this time of great Earth changes. Allow this purification of the Earth, because it is most necessary for the “Mother” to renew Her body that has been so desecrated. The material presented here is designed to continue to stretch your heart and mind to another new level of your Christhood and mastery. If you are choosing to move along with Earth’s destiny and evolve your consciousness to be able to live in a world of pure Love and Light, it is now more imperative than ever before that you awaken the perceptions of your true divinity and make it a priority and the most important goal of your life. You must gain the full understanding of what it means to become an ascended being and the state of consciousness and responsibilities that come with it. Too many of you still hold much illusion regarding the level of the consciousness you must embrace to fully become your divinity incarnate, and to fulfill your heart’s longings for this sublime alchemy of the soul that Ascension brings. Through this book, we are showing you how to prepare the Garden of your Heart to become conscious and responsible galactic citizens, how to mingle, as equals, with your brothers and sisters from the Stars. You have to weed out of this garden all that is less than divine Love perfected and transformed, by diligently, and with great constancy, to fully awaken your awareness to your true nature as a divine being. This is what will free you, beloved ones. All those of us who have channeled material for our third volume have already attained this level of Love; and it is with great compassion and humility that we attempt to show you how you can attain this for yourselves also. Our beloved Aurelia could not channel this material until she was able to gain and accomplish, in the Garden of her own Heart, a great part of the understanding of the level of Love and Surrender that are required to enter into the world of “Oneness”. She agreed to expose in this book some of the dialogues she has had with us, about her own difficulties and frustrations she experienced in reaching the level she has now achieved. She accepted to do this and expose her own travails for your benefit. It is meant to show you that what one can attain, others can also attain. Basically, although your problems and difficulties are all manifesting in various ways, they all stem from the same core issues. You will also find in the third book several helpful tools that you can use such as meditations in etheric temples and activations. Also you will find protocols and codes of ethics that you must embrace in order to be finally admitted into the great “Hall of Ascension”. This book offers you the next few steps you must attain in order to be able to join us consciously. Know, beloved ones, that as you read our material, we are there with you assisting you in your process. Our hearts are longing as much as yours to be together again, in the glory of the Brotherhood of Light. We are pressing on you now to come all the way “home” to the Heart of Love, through the total surrender to your unique pathway and the Will of the Holy Father/Mother, All That Is.

5 out of 5 stars Love is the Liberator (Says Mary Baker Eddy).......2006-08-27

These are messages channeled by Adama (Serapis Bey, Saint Germain, Cuzco and other ascended people) from the city of Telos beneath a 5th density Mount Shasta. Fifth density means you will not see that 1.5 million people city if you were to find a way down from the side of the mountain.

The communiqué is mostly from Adama, a 500 years young, 7 feet tall blond guy who looks 40 and who is the city leader 1.5 miles under the surface of 5th density Earth.

The message is as follows: "We are an advanced civilization (descendants of Lemurians) living in an underground city spiritually and electronically watching the 3rd density surface dwellers, and assisting them to reach higher levels leading to Earth ascension.

That after the Earth shift they will be in plain view and in direct contact with those souls who deserved the ascension.

This is an uplifting reading and with enough gentleness expressed on its pages for the reader to doubt its authenticity.

(What is the difference between a density, and a dimension? A density refers to planes of life, like astral, mental planes, while a dimension refers to different realities of a planet where technology is used)

    Book Description

Twice a year America's rose lovers cut the prettiest blossoms off their best plants and travel to the national rose show, where they lovingly groom their precious blooms for hours in a frigid hall in order to contend for the highest honor: the Queen of Show. Doctors. Teachers. Sheet metal mechanics. Lawyers. Truck drivers. Men and women. These are type A gardeners, and for them this is a blood sport. They grow tender roses in the frigid North and disease prone roses in the humid South simply for the challenge. They decorate otherwise lovely yards with paper bags and panty hose to isolate their choice specimens. They traipse through overgrown fields in the worst weather to save antique roses from extinction.

Aurelia Scott trails these self-professed Roseaholics as they plan, prepare, and compete, battling high winds, Japanese beetles, and the finicky demands of their precious charges. With all the appeal of Word Freak, Otherwise Normal People celebrates the singular satisfaction of cultivating beauty—and, of course, the thrill of victory.

If you're into roses, you'll read this book with a smile and also with a notepad to record new tricks of the trade.
The personalities of the featured rosarians definitely "come through."
The style, subject matter, and the rosarians are a delight.
This is a must read for any serious rosarian.

2 out of 5 stars The other side of growing roses.......2007-07-28

The innocent reader who knows nothing of roses will believe that extraordinary measures are necessary to grow them properly. Fortunately, that's completely untrue *unless* one plans to exhibit. The majority of people who love and grow roses have no interest in exhibition--but rather in the beauty of these plants.

The book is entertaining, certainly, but modern hybrid teas interest me not at all, so I was disappointed by Scott's lack of attention to old-garden roses.

A technical reader familiar with roses should have assisted in the production of this book. It is, unfortunately, rife with factual errors. Just an example from memory: Scott discusses 'New Dawn' and claims it was "bred" by a particular nursery. No, it wasn't. The most cursory research would have revealed that 'New Dawn' is a repeat-blooming sport of 'Dr. W. Van Fleet'. A sport is a spontaneous genetic mutation, thus 'New Dawn' arose from 'Dr. W. Van Fleet' and was not itself "bred" (hybridized).

A copy editor would have been useful as well. Somewhere near the beginning of the book Scott refers to someone "pouring over" reading material. Please.

It was fun reading about people that I have actually met at some of the conventions.

5 out of 5 stars Otherwise Normal People, Inside the Thorny World of Competitive Rose Gardening.......2007-07-09

A wonderfully written book about a very special group of folks. Reading the book could make a rose lover out of anyone.

5 out of 5 stars New Roses and Old.......2007-06-07

I don't know much about flowers, but my interest in obsession and collecting is pretty wide, and I leaped on this book in the same way as I read recent books about crossword puzzles and beauty pageants. When I was in Portland last month several friends were already reading advance copies, claiming this Aurelia Scott had written a book which named names and takes no prisoners, and that in rosarian circles, her book would raise eyebrows and snap certain reputations.

I have found on the contrary that she has written a gentle, merry book celebrating rose shows and the world of exhibition roses, it is not at all an expose of any kind. She is remarkably kind about her subjects, and to tell you the truth, her writing is possibly too charitable, could have used a bit more spice. She seems overly impressed by the work these gardeners spend on their gardens, and the number of roses they keep at home. OK, she takes a few snipes at Tommy Cairns and Luis Desamero, apparently the only gay men involved in the rose world. Luis especially comes across as a true eccentric, in his powder blue shorts, sort of a Lt. Dangle of the competitive rose world. It's great when he enters one contest that's actually been named after him, with a rose that carries his own name; it's either queen-size vanity or true ego fulfillment. Luis winds up winning the "Climber" award--touche!

Scott doesn't dwell overmuch on how these people finance this hobby, but it doesn't seem cheap. They must all be extremely well to do, to run around the country entering their wares, much less devote acres of private garden to their floribunda and Lynn Andersons. I was sort of curious about the economy of these shows. Are they just for rich people? Or do regular Joe Schmoes enter too? At any rate, rosegrowing seems to call for masses of time, a true luxury. "The only thing more frustrating than making an orange rose fit," moans Satish Prabhu, "is playing golf." Where Scott excels is showing how what seems like a harmless habit can take over your whole life, break up your marriage, turn you into a competitive rose-growing machine. But on the upside, you are surrounded at every turn by beauty. She counterposes the cut throat exhibition crowd to the so called "old garden rose" people, who seem much more genteel and into their history. Naturally the blowsy, smelly old roses don't win Queen of Show in competitions, the scent hasn't been bred out of them, and they're often crooked and misshapen by modern standards, and yet they have that "heirloom" thing going on, a touch of class in a strange new century.

The book left me wishing I knew a little German. The translations into English don't fully communicate the original design intent. The many illustrations are quite nice, though. You get to see a few examples of well made European exhibit design.

        Book Description

Sociocultural Contexts of Language and Literacy, Second Edition engages prospective and in-service teachers in learning about linguistically and culturally diverse students, and in using this knowledge to enrich literacy learning in classrooms and communities. The text is grounded in current research and theory that integrate sociocultural and constructivist concepts and perspectives and provide a framework teachers can use to develop strategies for teaching reading, writing, and thinking to diverse students.

The focus on English literacy development does not imply advocacy for "English only" or ESL as the primary mode of literacy instruction. Rather, the authors take the position that learners need to develop literacy in their native language and that the concepts and skills learned in developing the native language create a foundation of strength from which students can develop English literacy.

Part I introduces relevant research and language learning theories. Part II provides research reviews and information about literacy learning within specific culturally and linguistically diverse communities. The chapters in Part III challenge the reader to view the multiple social, intellectual, cultural, and language differences children bring to the classroom as an opportunity for learning and building on the diversity among students. Activities and suggested readings at the end of each chapter involve readers in reflection, observation, meaning making, and the construction of application processes for their new understandings.

        New in the Second Edition:

        *updated research and theory on multilingual and second language literacy;

        *a focus on the interpretation of these research findings to make them useful for teachers and teacher educators in understanding and articulating the research bases for literacy practices;

*attention to current intensely debated issues, such as standards, the phonics movement, and high-stakes testing; and

        *new activities and suggested readings.

        Book Description

Aurelia is a document of dreams, obsession, and insanity. An account of Nerval's unrequited passion for an actress and subsequent descent into madness, this book was a favorite of artist Joseph Cornell's, and its author was championed by both Marcel Proust and Andre Breton. One of the original self-styled "bohemians," Nerval was best known in his own day for parading a lobster on a pale blue ribbon through the gardens of the Palais-Royal, and for his suicide in 1855, hanging from an apron string he called the garter of the Queen of Sheba. Geoffrey Wagner's translation of Aurelia was first published by Grove Press in 1959, but has remained out of print for nearly twenty years. Included are previously untranslated stories, and poet Robert Duncan's version of the sonnet cycle "Chimeras"- making this the most complete collection of Nerval ever published in English.

5 out of 5 stars Good Introduction to Artaud.......2007-06-24

This was the first book I read by Antonin Artaud.
I was really moved by this man and he helped me
realize that one could an outsider yet still
remain in centricity of culture. I don't know
alot of it went over my head I guess but the
man is extremely interesting and offers neat
challenges to his time and to the reader.

4 out of 5 stars Concentrated Romanticism .......2006-12-29

I love Nerval's voice and his lush dreamy nostalgia. Many of these pieces are like looking at a Rococo painting and there's many of the classic Romantic themes, love of nature, nostalgia for a lost idyllic past and lost youth. I love literary surrealism so Aurelia was right up my alley but it has a more spiritual vibe which seems lacking in more modern surrealist works. After reading Nerval I can see why the surrealists considered themselves the prehensile tail of Romanticism.

5 out of 5 stars tragic search for the infinite.......2004-03-02

simultaneously one of the saddest and most hopeful books i have ever read, this is an account of gerard de nerval's descent into insanity and his frantic search for something beyond what the positivists offer, a "spirit world". nerval obsesses over an actress who barely knew he existed, idealizing her to a seriously nutty point--but during all this he visits funerals, graveyards other places, apparently believing he is in touch with something metaphysical. i read this book awhile ago but i do remember his reference to his rejection by the woman, aurelia:"one's only option after these kinds of events is whether to die or go on living." touching, mystical, and sad.

5 out of 5 stars like Proust condensed.......2000-11-07

that's the best way to put it: like condensed Proust. De Nerval's stories of place, love, and memory have found a permanent place in my heart. As other reviewers have noted, these stories seem the very definition of romanticism-- an unexpected quality in a writer often remembered most for his madness, eccentricity, and ultimately, suicide.

this edition by Exact Change Press is also worth remarking upon: the paper feels great, the design is perfect... hmm, running out of synonyms for "good."

all in all, a great volume by a lesser-known master.

5 out of 5 stars Best explanation of a Romantic.......1999-02-02

Because this book shows what a real romantic means beyond the common meaning of "being in love". Because De Narval is a Romantic, he behaves trying to be the center of everything, no matter the price or the pride. He loves as a tool to make women move around him. His dreams are an extension of his life, so he can live any dream as real because the memorie of the real is the same as the memorie of the dream.

Kambia Elaine has told Shayla how afraid she is of the Wallpaper Wolves. "They live in the wallpaper... they have five-inch fangs, fiery red eyes, purple horns, long sharp claws, and spiky gray fur... they whisper horrible, nasty things in your ear... then they make you do them." Kambia is Shayla's next door neighbor and friend, but Shayla doesn't have the time to listen to Kambia's fanciful imaginings about Memory Beetles, Lizard People, or even the fearful Wallpaper Wolves. She has her own trouble brewing at home. Between her older sister Tia running away after a heated argument with their mother, and her no-good father, Mr. Anderson Fox, nosing around the neighborhood, Shayla has her hands full. But she's noticed the real bruises and blood on Kambia's legs that come from the fictitious Wallpaper Wolves, and knows that, despite her own problems, she has to get to the bottom of Kambia's dark imagination and find the truth behind her stories. When Kambia begs her not to tell anyone about her injuries, Shayla has to make some hard decisions about the differences between telling the truth and protecting a friend.

First-time author Lori Aurelia Williams has written a novel that eloquently ties together the importance of family, the power of imagination, and the simple strength of innocence. Although Williams takes her time telling this sweetly sad tale, teens will be so caught up in Kambia's creative imagination and Shayla's strong voice that they will quickly move through its 200-plus pages. Book Description

So I just made another note to add to my blue notebook later, when the house had cooled off: Tia's nature is boiling out of her like hot soup out of a pot, and Kambia Elaine just flew in from Neptune.

Shayla Dubois lives in a Houston neighborhood known as the Bottom, where life is colorful but never easy. She wants only two things out of life: to become a writer and to have a nice, peaceful home. Instead, her life has been turned upside down. Shayla's mama kicked her sister, Tia, out of the house for messing around with an older guy, and months later Tia still hasn't come home. Shayla's father, Mr. Anderson Fox, has rolled back into town and has been spending a lot of time at the house with Mama. And Shayla still doesn't know what to make of her strange new neighbor, Kambia Elaine.

Kambia tells Shayla the most fantastic stories: that the Lizard People turn into purple chewing gum when the sun comes up; that Memory Beetles gather up and store people's good memories; that she is a piece of driftwood from the Mississippi River. All Shayla knows for sure is that Kambia's mother has a lot of male visitors and that Kambia doesn't look too healthy. When Kambia tells Shayla about the vicious Wallpaper Wolves that hide in her walls to catch bad little girls, Shayla knows something is wrong. But she doesn't know how she can help Kambia when she can't get past her stories, and when Tia still hasn't come home.

Told lyrically and gracefully by debut author Lori Aurelia Williams, When Kambia Elaine Flew in from Neptune shows how complicated life can get when children are forced to grow up too quickly, while it also celebrates the bonds of a strong, loving family.

          2 out of 5 stars Child Abuse.......2007-07-02

Shayla, a twelve-year-old girl living in a poor neighborhood with her mother and her older sister Tia, just wants everything in her life to be calm and normal. But then Tia is caught having sex with an older guy named Doo-witty, who everyone in their neighborhood thinks is stupid. Shayla doesn't know what Tia sees in him, but their relationship causes a fight between Tia and their mother, and Tia disappears for months.

To make things even stranger in her life, Kambia and her mother move in next door. Kambia is Shayla's age but she acts really funny. She hums nursery rhymes to herself and plays what Shayla thinks of as babyish games, pretending she's a tree or a piece of driftwood or a crab. She also tells odd stories, about lizard people and memory beetles. Kambia sometimes makes Shayla nervous, but Shayla starts to like her more and more. Then Kambia's stories get scary, about wolves in her wallpaper who try to catch her and hurt her. Shayla has seen bruises on her legs and doesn't understand what could have caused them. And Kambia is losing a lot of weight, saying the wolves won't want her if she is too skinny.

Shayla has promised Kambia that she won't talk to anyone else about Kambia's bruises or her wallpaper wolves stories, but Shayla starts to feel more and more like keeping that promise is the wrong thing to do.

I liked that Shayla was open to a friendship with Kambia, even though Kambia was so strange. I liked the relationship between Shayla and Tia; they weren't always at odds like most sisters. I also liked that Shayla was true to her dream of becoming a writer.

It was very sad, though, to read another depressing story about child abuse in a poor neighborhood. It was easy, reading this book, to see right away what the problem was with Kambia, and it was sad that nobody from the neighborhood realized what was going on.

5 out of 5 stars When Kambia Elaine Flew in From Neptune.......2005-12-07

I'm not done reading this book, but what I've read of it is awesome. I'm only in chapter 4, but my teacher recomended it for me and I love it. Anybody that wants to read a deep book that is really realistic this is the one for you. If you are under the age of 13, than I wouldn't read this book. This is more of an adult book, and you need to be very mature, but it is a great read.

5 out of 5 stars Listening is fun.......2005-09-30

I have just listened to When Kambia Elaine Flew in From Neptune which was beautifully read by Heather Alicia Simms. She read the book with such style that you actually could feel the characters,
as she made Shayla and Kambia sound so real (just like real children). I can not believe how vivid she made all of the characters sound it was like seeing a movie without the picture. I would love a part 2 of this book just to see how Kambia and Shayla's friendship grew. I would recommend anyone who has read this book to get the Audio also, it is absolutely wonderful.

Again I would like to say to Heather "Great Job" I could listen to it again and again thanks for a wonderful Job.

          5 out of 5 stars Truly Amazing.......2005-07-03

This book is number one a incredibly wonderful plot for young adults wanting a true novel that will affect them in a wonderful way, number two beautifully and poetically written... definately one of the best styles of writing in my opinionl, number three a great way to learn about other people and other styles of life or a great way to relate to a novel and get involved with a character. This book is one of my very personal favorites that I read when I was eleven years old and reread when I was thirteen. I have shared this book with many of my friends whom all have loved it as I have. Most of my friends do not read on a regular basis as I do, but they all loved it! If you are looking for a great way to get into reading or getting your child into reading this is definately a great way because of its realistic views and its amazing truthfullness.

5 out of 5 stars Too good to be missed. .......2004-07-29

In WHEN KAMBIA ELAINE FLEW IN FROM NEPTUNE, first-time novelist Lori Aurelia Williams fashions a contemporary, coming-of-age tale as beautiful as it is difficult. Her narrator, 12-year-old Shayla Dubois, an aspiring writer with a gift for language, fills her blue notebooks with the observations and emotions ("Tia's nature is boiling out of her like a hot soup out of a pot") she isn't allowed to express --- as children should be seen and not heard.

In parallel plot-lines, Williams explores Shayla's sister Tia's blossoming sexuality and the tension it causes, as well as Shayla's budding friendship with Kambia --- a girl with a far-out imagination who moves in next door with her no-good mother. Hoping to prevent Tia from making the same mistake she did, Shayla's mama puts Tia out of the house when she discovers she is sexually involved with the town dumbbell, Doo-Witty.

Meanwhile, Kambia is filling Shayla's head with stories of Wallpaper Wolves that come to her in the night, Memory Beetles that store good memories in their chubby bodies, and Lizard People that turn into purple chewing gum. At first, Kambia's strange tales and antics annoy the usually word-loving Shayla, but when she accidentally sees Kambia's bruised and bloodied thighs, it dawns on her that something dangerous is lurking in her tortured tales. But when Kambia begs Shayla not to tell anyone about her injuries, Shayla learns, with the help of her wise and opinionated Grandmother Augustine, that sometimes you have to break a promise to protect a friend.

Williams's utterly original and metaphorical treatment of Kambia's sexual abuse, along with her tender handling of Tia's deepening relationship with herself and the seemingly dumb, yet gifted Doo-Witty, combine to create an engaging, original story too good to be missed.
