Book Description
This leading-edge CD by Esther and Jerry Hicks, who present the teachings of the nonphysical entity Abraham, is about having a deliberate intent for whatever you want in life, while at the same time balancing your energy along the way. But it's important to note that the awareness of the need to balance your energy is much more significant than goal-setting or focusing on ultimate desires. And it is from this very important distinction that this work has come forth.
As you come to understand and effectively practice the processes offered here, you will not only achieve your goals and desired outcomes more rapidly, but you'll enjoy every single step along the path even before their manifestation. As such, you'll find that the living of your life is an ongoing journey of joy, rather than a series of long dry spells between occasional moments of temporary satisfaction.
Customer Reviews:
Good, but not the best I've heard from Abraham-Hicks.......2007-09-25
I have listened to a few recordings by these authors and find this particular recording not as superior as Ask and It Is Given, Part II, The Processes. I would not purchase this item again if I could do it over.
Abraham & Vibrational Energy Concepts .......2007-09-05
This is a very good book on CD, and is life-changing material, if you are willing to believe in something that may sound VERY different to you. Most people do not believe in this way. "The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent" is the entire CD. Part 1 is "Living the Art of Allowing" and is a collection of 4 CDs, narrated mainly by Jerry Hicks. Part 2 is "Living the Path to Joy Through Energy Balance" and is a second collection of 4 CDs. You really want to buy both packages to get the entire book.
Abraham is a collective consciousness who speaks to Esther. She then relays the material. The material speaks primarily of metaphysical energy and its relationship to all that there is. It goes in-depth into manifestation by aligning your personal vibrational energies to match what you really want. Again, I know that's a hard concept to swallow, but that is the Law of Attraction. You really DO get what you think about. I have been studying metaphysical energy for about the last 7 or 8 years and I have seen the evidence soooo many times. Unfortunately, because of fear and control and many other negative personal vibrations, people usually think about what they DON'T want and that is what they manifest. Put simply, instead of seeing their car running smoothly on a log trip, they worry "What if it breaks down?". Instead of thinking about money in a positive way, they usually think of a LACK of money, and generally worry about it. So, they usually get what they do NOT want.
Anyway, this set of CDs not only explains the concept very well, but gives real-life examples and examples of the proper (aligned) thinking versus the non-aligned (improper) thinking, so you can begin to change your vibration to attract what you DO want. Like I said though, you need both CDs and an open mind, a VERY open mind. You also need to really work at this vibrational change to achieve successes with it. Even when you do achieve successes, it's hard to believe because we were just not conditioned to believe this way.
All that said, it's a great product and these are not the only authors talking about vibrational energy matching to manifest. What they say is right on target.
CD1, this set is slightly less than 2 and a half hours. The other CD set is slightly more than 2 and a half hours. Both sets together total over 5 hours of audio book material which you can easily listen to in the car on your way to work. These 8 CDs have the potential to change your life.
Further Insight Into The Laws Of Attraction.......2007-08-08
I have purchased and listened to all the Abraham-Hicks material available and next to the actual "Laws Of Attraction" CD, this CD has to be the most insightful in furthering the distinctions of the actual Laws of Attraction. It has been very useful to me as a coach of the material and has helped my clients immensely. I would recommend it to any student of the Laws of Attraction to help give them a better understanding of how the laws work.
More Positive Abe.......2007-07-31
This a good continuing series of workshop excerpts on various challenging life situations. Read by Jerry, this adds a little more color and warmth to the material.
Great Stuff.......2007-07-16
This is a wonderful tool, it helps you stay focus. I recommend it to everyone.

Customer Reviews:
I recommend this book to anyone who wants to live a long and healthy life........2007-06-27
This is a wonderful addition to the already popular "Nourishing Traditions". It takes it a step beyond and shows how to heal yourself in all aspects of your life. Wonderfully written, I recommend it to anyone who wants to feel good and live a long and healthy life.
The Fourfold Path to Healing:.......2007-05-20
This is an enlightening book with a need for the reader to keep an open mind. I had borrowed this book from a friend and I felt it was worth buying. It gave a different approach to nutrition and more information on nutrition then what I ever learned in nursing school. I will say, some of the other info. tends to bend towards TM of which I do not believe in. Buy this book and learn a lot!
This Guy Gets It .......2007-02-17
This is an amazing book. Cowan understands how our bodies work. Great Book!
Extremely Important Book!.......2007-02-07
I just attended the Fourfold Path to Healing conference this last weekend in Ann Arbor, Michigan where Tom, Sally Fallon and Jaimen McMillan taught us so much about the human body, nutrition, and medicine--in what ways these all work together. This was one of the most important conferences I have ever attended in my life. (I am an organic farmer). It really rounds out the information I have been applying in my life on the farm from Sally Fallon's book, Nourishing Traditions. N.T.
I highly recommend Tom's book because on so many levels, it teaches us how to take care of ourselves and others without invasive "therapies" such as cutting, drugging, or radiating, Additionally, with Sally's research and advice on nutrition, I feel we can truly be as healthy as possible in spite of the many challenges we face, whether socially, economically, internally, or environmentally and so on. We can do it!
Please do yourself much, much more than a favor, and buy, read, study and apply the information in this book! A must is also Sally's book Nourishing Traditions.
As for comments Tom makes on vitamins such as C, it is the synthetic vitamin C that one needs to avoid. Some of the best ways to get vitamin C is through powdered fruits such as rose hips, acerola berries an amalaki. Of course, the first way we should try to get all nutrients is through our food! This is one reason why we eat.
Wrong about vitamin C !.......2007-01-25
This book is remarkable for the number of false or unsupported assertions the authors make concerning vitamin C. Every sentence in the vitamin C section on pages 20 and 21 is either unsupported, or contains misleading or false information which they present as fact._
Book Description
This book is a comprehensive analysis of the relevance of international law to the conduct of international relations and foreign policy. Written by a distinguished international lawyer and academic with over 35 years of experience, this book contains a systematic treatment of both fields of study. This work serves as an introduction to contemporary theories of international relations and as a primer on international law especially for the non-lawyer. Focusing on contemporary problems of terrorism, nuclear non-proliferation, war and peace, economic development, protection of the global environment, reform of the United Nations, democracy and protection of human rights, this work develops the thesis that international law is a neglected tool of foreign policy that can be used to address many of today's difficult and unresolved problems. It concludes by advocating a 'new global order' in the form of the rule of law and multilateral solidarity in addressing world problems.
Book Description
A young woman is murdered at a car wash. An entire family is killed by a drunk driver. The victim of a violent assault survives but spends years struggling to heal physically and emotionally. Offenders in these crimes are apprehended, convicted and sentenced. But it is not enough. Across the U.S., in increasing numbers, these and other victims of violent crime have sought direct, personal encounters with the offenders who have harmed them.
"Facing Violence" tells the stories of courageous victims and offenders who have participated in facilitated dialogue in the aftermath of violent crimes. The book reports findings by a University of Minnesota research team that such victim/offender dialogue programs, when carefully supervised by trained facilitators, have usually resulted in life-transforming emotional healing for both parties. The book distills results of interviews with victims, offenders and staff members in two pioneering victim/offender dialogue programs in Texas and Ohio.
What kinds of benefits result from such programs? One parent said: "My daughter's dead. But I know I'm better, I can sleep at night. I know it's a good feeling not to hate some monster."
An assault victim commented: "This anger was deep witghin me, and now there's a lightness of my whole soul. It was transforming."
And an offender convicted of assault explained: "I wanted to tell her how sorry I was... I always felt like I had the duty to at least try to make things right with her."

Customer Reviews:
The path of the warrior.......2006-11-10
I picked this up after finishng Dr. Jetmore's Police Seargent Exam Prep Guide. Jetmore is a 20-year law enforcement veteran and former Police Commander. The focus of this book is on ethics as it relates to personal and professional development. This book ancient "codes of honor" and recounts stories of actions that police office took in their daily duties and the related values conflicts, psychological and physical stresses. It is a challenging read, but it raises interesting questions.
Jetmore Hits it on the Head........2002-03-17
I couldn't put this one down. I've been looking for something that addresses the things I've been trying to deal with on the job, and this book nailed it!
It doesn't give you all the answers, just the right encouragement to keep looking.
I would say this one's a must for anyone in law enforcement or any stressful field.
One of the best.......2000-09-05
I've read several books on the subject of police ethics. Jetmore's is by far the best. A wonderful combination of research and actual stories from the streets, this books captured my interst from te very beginning. Very insightful.
How do you determine the "right" thing to do?.......1999-04-21
Dr. Jetmore, a law enforcement veteran of 21 years, challenges students and veterans alike to awaken their souls and become "warriors." Using "war stories" and the "ancient philosophy and code of honor used by King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table," Dr. Jetmore provides a concise yet encompassing work of challenges.
This work recounts stories of actions that police officers take in the daily conduct of their duties, only to be questioned later by the public. Such exposure to values conflicts subject officers to both psychological and physical stress.
Dr. Jetmore challenges all who read this work to "take control of their destiny," and seek professional and private development. He even speaks the previously "unspeakable" inner sould reactions to years of affiliation with traumatic events.
I suspect many in law enforcement will disagree with Dr. Jetmore. All the reason those that are tasked with protecting us need to read and review his work.
A challenging book on multiple levels, yet worth the effort........1998-04-20
Larry Jetmore, a retired Hartford, CT Police Commander and current university educator, seeks to reawaken the ethical bearing of working police officers.
In a short book, less than 140 pages, that is liberally sprinkled with both inspirational quotes from philosophers and pertinent "war stories" Jetmore challenges his readers to recapture their "shadow".
"To become a warrior you must turn your back on the consensus of others, open the gate, cross the bridge and begin the inner quest of your heart and spirit."
In a time when ethics and ethics training are "hot topics", Jetmore has contributed a challenging and substantive work that will stand the test of time. It is an actual contribution to the ongoing dialogue within the profession.

Customer Reviews:
Spring Cleaning for Mind & Spirit!.......2006-03-31
I just finished my 31-day journey.... what an incredible eye-opening experience. Thank you Anita for this book! It made me think hard about all the "junk" I had hidden away... a terrific spring cleaning for the mind and spirit!
Helped me discover my true Self.......2006-02-02
It's easy to think that you've got it all figured out...you might be asking, "How could this book help me?" The daily readings are inspirational--really helped me see the world through different eyes. And the daily questions challenged me to keep seeing the world through those eyes all day long. It was amazing how such a simple act of self awareness improved my quality of life and relationships. I recommend that every person ask him- or herself those hard questions at least once in a lifetime, and possibly even more often. I can't imagine this book not changing your life, but at least you will become much more clear on the things that matter most to you. Hopefully, then, you will choose to act on that knowledge and invite in the change.
Inspired Writing - Moved me to action!.......2006-01-14
This work by Anita Pathik Law is amazing! On its own, it is a powerful tool. It is unique in that it asks the user to begin with the reading corresponding to the day of the month you are currently in. This focuses all Power of Our Way users on the same topics on the same day. With the timezone changes, it's possible that someone, somewhere is always doing this work.
This book caused me to look at things differently than I ever have before and to really let my authentic self begin to emerge while focusing on a common topic daily with others. I used it with the meditation CD available on the Power of My Way website as well as with the weekly Community Call in Coaching that is available. I was motivated to begin some long-postponed life changes that I'm still implementing.
I wish you a wonderful journey!
A lifetime journey.......2005-11-09
This is not a book you just "read"... you actually move along a beautifully directed path that prepares you for a lifetime of discoveries. I participated in weekly community call-in sessions which were a fantastic enhancement to the journey. Hearing others perspectives was a big factor in how I adjusted my own negative thinking. I'm now on my second reading and am amazed at how different my perspective is from the first reading. I regard this journey into The Power of Our Way as a gift. Really getting down to the nitty gritty so as to find out what's really important, what to let go of, and what to chase with a vengeance!
Live Your Truth.......2005-09-12
Each day in The Power of Our Way begins with an inspiring meditation and some questions. They're big questions, the kind you normally don't ask yourself because you don't want to have to answer. Inevitably my responses pulled me toward my authentic self. The book holds many treasures but the greatest gift to me was the challenge to go deeper into my life's passion and purpose. I was able to recommit with joy to the path of awakening and the journey to live my truth. If each of us invested 20 minutes a day in The Power of Our Way, we would be happier and more productive people and the world would be a better place for all beings.

Book Description
The single most important essay about law ever written. The perfect gift for anyone who ever entered law school, this essay defines the responsibilities of the legal profession from one of lawis greatest practitioners.
Download Description
I take it for granted that no hearer of mine will misinterpret what I have to say as the language of cynicism. The law is the witness and external deposit of our moral life. Its history is the history of the moral development of the race. The practice of it, in spite of popular jests, tends to make good citizens and good men. When I emphasize the difference between law and morals I do so with reference to a single end, that of learning and understanding the law.

Great, short book.......1999-12-21
I believe this book is transcribed from a speech given by Holmes to a group of lawyers, judges, scholars at HLS. It is Holmes' prediciton for the future of the law and it is extremely prescient. For anyone interested in the law it is a must read, and at about 34 pages a very quick and enjoyable one.
Book Description
Constituting fewer than 15% of the nation's police officers, women have found it especially difficult to rise through the ranks and achieve higher posts. Here, those few women who have made it to the top--about 1% of the chiefs and sheriffs in American policing--share their stories and describe the challenges they faced as they rose to their positions. Each of the chiefs compted for their offices with other candidates, almost always male. The sheriffs--virtually all elected officials-- came under even closer scrutiny. While few in number, these "top cops" illustrate the emergence of women as more than token leaders of American sheriff and police departments. They are unique groundbreakers who have managed to breach the brass ceiling. Here is the fascinating story of how individual women are setting a pace for other women in one of the most male-dominated public service fields in America, second only behind firefighting in its image as a place where few women have successfully negotiated careers to the top. Who are these women, and how did they earn the top spot? Are they nontraditional women, or women in nontraditional positions? Do they share common characteristics in terms of family backgrounds, race, ethnicity, age, or marital status? To what do they attribute their success in the face of overwhelming obstacles? How can their experiences with education, careers, service, and assignments help other women achieve similar success in this field or in others? Schulz answers these questions as she vividly recounts the paths to the top for these determined and exceptional women.
Customer Reviews:
Good Survey, tho a bit dry.......2005-11-14
In general, an excellent survey of women in policing and police administration with several profiles of women as police chiefs and sherrifs.
Suffers a bit from repeating itself -- some facts, such as the English and Dutch origins of "sherrif" appear in several chapters, as if the author did not expect a reader to read through the whole book, but instead to read chapters.
The tone is a bit dry -- there are some fascinating narratives and personalities, presented in a very matter-of-fact manner. Interesting reading.
The focus is on women as chiefs, but an aside on the various womens' precincts and units, such as the NY women's unit would have added to the historical discussion.
