Great selection for fireman studying!.......2002-03-18
I borrowed the book from a friend. It turned out to be such a great benefit for me that I purchased my own copy. It offers literature on real plant equipment, formulas that are used in the trade, and possible on the test. Has a boiler "language" to it. Covers thing's like safety valves, pumps, da tanks. Great book.
I recommend this book to anyone looking to pursue a deeper understand in the Steam Engineering field.

Not enough .......2007-09-20
This book is only guide lines of topics. If you recently finish college and
have all your material fresh in your head this is the book for you, but if you are like me and needed a good review this is not your book. There is a lot of material in the test regarding ceramics, photography, and architecture artist that are not found in this book not even a mere mention.
Don't bother .......2007-09-06
Bought this book for the Art:Content Knowledge test and found I paid for only 24 relevant pages out of a 186 page book. Don't bother if you only need to take one of the art related tests. Go to the web site and view the sample test online for free and search other sites for test content. Otherwise there is some advise on how to take a praxis test--oh boy!
A good starting place.......2007-08-05
This guide does not help much in giving information- but it was helpful as a starting point for studying. I looked up every answer I didn't know- and every possible choice I didn't know and felt very prepared going into the test. The graded answers for the essay questions were the greatest help the book provided. Having the essay questions to practice on (and set the proper time limit with ) was very helpful. I was able to compare my answers with the graded answers and better understand what they were looking for and how I could improve my essays.
Very Helpful!.......2006-10-13
These books are make by the people who write the Praxis exams! You will work to look up the review questions and topics, but it's well worth it when you pass the test with flying colors!
Book Description
Jamie Madrox, stabbed, staggering off a bus. Jamie Madrox, setting up a detective agency in the heart of Mutant Town. Jamie Madrox, a peaceful Shaolin priest. Which is the real Jamie Madrox? In this noir-esque thriller of a limited series, it's possible that even Madrox doesn't know anymore. Peter David, acclaimed for his run on X-Factor, reunites several of that title's most popular and whimsical characters - Jamie Madrox, Wolfsbane, and the aptly named Strong Guy - and sends them on an adventure of light and darkness. Featuring the incredibly moody pencils of Pablo Raimondi.

Surprisingly Well Done.......2006-08-05
I bought this book because i heard it was played as a noir kind of crime story. I EXPECTED that to be false advertising and to be sorely disappointed by "just another superhero" storyline. Like the title for this review implies, i was seriously surprised. The story is solid, the characters retained their quirky characteristics but still showed somewhat new faces as well. The noir/crime aspect is true to the advertiser's words. I love the mystery they're opening the door for and can't wait for the new XFactor series which is supposed to follow...
Multiplicity.......2005-06-19
I gotta admit, back in the day when I still followed the X-Men characters during their really classic first Claremont period (before they scattered amongst an explosive proliferation of X-titles), Madrox the Mutliple Man was one of my favorites. Hey, anyone can be struck by lightning or gamma rays or a magical spell and become super-strong, ultra-fast, or irradiated with the power cosmic. But how many people can Xerox themselves endlessly? True, at the interstellar levels at which the X-Men typically fight, it's not a terribly awesome power. "Oh, no--that guy over there just spawned five copies of himself! And now he threatens us with...fisticuffs! Hmm, better put the discombobulator beam on full auto."
But fanboy fave Peter David gave this guy some thought. Sure, he'd have a hell of a time giving even a C-grade villain any cause for worry. But if Madrox can make infinite copies of himself, and then absorb them and their memories later, what's to stop him from swarming across the world and learning how to do...everything? Thus our Madrox is now a man of myriad talents, which he puts to use as...a private eye. Personally, I might've gone into consultancy, but that provides fewer chances to impress women, engage in witty banter with sidekicks, and bandy about noir dialogue.
The plot is nothing earth-shattering and doesn't involve any horrific scheme by an uber-creep to destroy the Earth. It's much more suitable to the low-key and amiable scale of Madrox's world. But it's reasonably absorbing nonetheless. The big draw is the snappy wit and snarky attitude that Madrox displays. If you've read any of Peter David's novels, you should know what to expect here. (Except there are many fewer creaky and laboriously deployed puns.) What's also good here is that the author plays around a bit with the notion of having your own copies. What if some of them don't care for you? Or turn out cowardly or lazy or dimwitted? Sometimes, Madrox's copies are his own worst enemy.
The mini-series was definitely good enough that I would be very interested in seeing Madrox either in a David-written monthly title or further additional minis. I think there's still a lot to explore here, and taking a look at the street level of the Marvel Universe is something that's still rarely done. I look forward to more Madrox in the future.
Terribly underrated noir-ish comic with the Multiple Man.......2005-04-09
The great Peter David may have made a name for himself with his unheralded run on the Incredible Hulk, but his all too brief run on X-Factor showcased some of his best work. The character he wrote the best in that series, Jamie "Multiple Man" Madrox, gets his own mini-series here, and David manages to greatly utilize all the promising aspects of the character for the most part. Madrox is a private investigator these days, who after witnessing the death of one of his "dupes", investigates to find out just what happened and why. What he uncovers is a little conspiracy filled with mayhem and mutants, and the noir-ish presentation will pull the reader in. While some of it is a bit predictable, Madrox is a surprisingly great read with some witty storytelling by David, and great supporting roles from Jamie's former X-Factor teammates Strong Guy and Wolfsbane. The moody art by Pablo Raimondi is reason enough to check this TPB out alone, and the conclusion leaves the door open for David to work some more Madrox magic. All in all, older X-Men readers who dug the character of Madrox (and you all know who you are) would do well to give this a look.

Stuff you can use in Real Life...Great Book.......2003-09-10
The strategies are useful in any multiple choice testing situation. I first used this book to study for the SAT's in 1985. But my results were nothing spectacular. I then leant the book to a friend and never got it back. But did not forget some of the testing strategies.
I used them during my Microsoft MCSE, Novel CNE and Cisco CCNP certification tests. Passing 20 exams in all. Of course I studied and knew the material. But there is the testing scenario and the real world. Rarely to these questions have anything to do with the real world.
What the strategies do is to give you a slight advantage to just guessing "C". I love how he talks about "smoke" to hide the right answer.
Just a few months ago, I purchased another copy before taking my next IT exam.
Recently I passed my Cisco re-certification by 1 point after 6 months of studying. I know that the strategies made the difference between pass or fail.

Customer Reviews:
Excellent Conditon.......2007-09-01
The book was delievered in great condition, within a moderately good time frame. It has proved very useful in my 1L studies!
A great buy.......2007-05-09
This book was a great edition to my studying arsenal for Civil Procedure. My exam was all multiple choice and this book really gets you in the mindset of thinking in terms of multiple choice questions. Each chapter is very concise and short, allowing you to work through the whole book in a short amount of time. Glannon's method of Black Letter introduction followed by a multiple choice question was really effective to learn the law QUICK and figure out how to apply it in a nuanced fashion. I literally had 2 days to study for a 4-credit Civ Pro class and this book did the trick. I would highly recommend it, even if your exam will not be multiple choice.
Great Study Guide.......2006-12-28
This guide is clear and easy to use. I used it to clear up questions while preparing my outline and it helped me on the exam. The study questions included in the book were a great way to practice applying the material before the exam.
Better than E&E, easy to follow........2006-05-03
Glannon is easy to read and understand, and he adds light moments that are welcome during intensive studying. I'm not a big fan of his Examples & Explanations. They are well done, but you basically have to use it throughout the semester along with your regular text book - and let's face, many of us are already pressured enough with all the regular reading. This book is one you can use in the last few weeks before exams, and really clear up any of the confusions on the main subjects. For me, it was invaluable for Personal, Subject Matter, and Supplemental Jurisdiction.
Owe my Civ Pro grade to this book..........2006-01-16
I bought the Glannon Guide instead of E&E sort of by accident, but it was fantastic. The E&E is also a great help, but this one is a faster read and the MC questions throughout the chapter are helpful for appying what you learn. I spent an entire day during finals week(s) reading this book, and it was the absolute best use of my time. Thanks Prof. Glannon =)

Brilliant Book!!!.......2006-03-24
This is the first book that really explains IFRS very well. The examples are understandable, it's comprehensive and helps on nearly every issue that might arise when dealing with IFRS.

dissapointing errors, no errata.......2005-11-22
I just started reading and already found two wrong quiz answers and two questionable ones. Unfortunately it may reflect actual ARE experience, but for a learner it may be just a time lost. There are better sources for ARE preparation. I recommend ALS/Kaplan courses and The Architect's Handbook of Professional Practice instead. No errata for this book is published at the publisher's webpage http://ppi2pass.com. No way to report errors, simply because there is no such a book on the expandable list at http://ppi2pass.com/ppi/PPIInfo_pg_Errata-errataform.html.
Customer Reviews:
Good product but not economical........2006-12-09
I would have given this book five stars, however, it's not economical. Aspen publishers (publishers of this Q & A series) also publish Finz Multistate Method. The Finz product contains 196 tort multiple choice questions whereas the siegel's tort Q & A only has 92. Keep in mind that these products are published by the same publisher, therefore, the questions in the siegel's series appear in the Finz Multistate Method. Furthermore, the Finz product has Contracts, Property, Constitutional Law, and Evidence questions. However, the Finz product does not have essay questions but you could always google old essay exams and answers. By purchasing the Finz Multistate Method, you'll end up saving more money, have the convenience of having all the questions in one book, and have many more questions.
Great for Test Preparations.......2004-01-14
This book is extremely useful in preparing for a torts exam. In fact, the fact patterns on one of the questions was so great that my professor copied a large portion of it on our final exam question (the ethical side of that can be debated with Emory).
Helpful for learning the intentional torts.......2002-11-04
I entered Law School with a great deal of reluctance about any sort of commercial aids, especially flash cards. However, I have since discovered that some commercial aids are helpful with certain aspects of studying. These Torts flashcards have been valuable in helping me learn the elements of the various intentional torts, and spotting those torts in a hypothetical fact pattern.
This product should not be your primary means of learning torts, but I recommend them as a supplement, especially learning the elements of the Intentional torts!
