Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Customer Reviews:
The Silence Is Broken by Douglas Berner.......2007-01-03
At the off-set, I must say that this book, The Silence is Broken, as it relates to the war of Gog and Magog, is the best book on the subject that I have ever read - and I've read many books on this subject. Berner is very thorough, and very analytical in his approach to explaining all the ins-and-outs of Ezekiel 38 & 39. His research is unsurpassed, and he gleans from other prophetic writers in a manner that either affirms or disaffirms what he considers sound scripture, and examines their positions in the light of God's Word and just good old logic. He covers the whole spectrum of various positions of other prophecy writers/researchers in a manner that is fair, and offers Biblical proof in his conclusions which to many readers would be new thought.
He has managed to set forth the time lines of the different events that occur during the Gog & Magog war in a manner that is logical and easy to understand. His application of the Word of God is without parallel with respect to the Magog war scenario. A truly easy book to read and understand. I know of no other book that is as thorough as this one. He distinguishes the Day of the Lord from that of the beginning of the 7 year Tribulation period that makes sense and which is very logical.
As I read this book, I found it to coincide very much to my understanding of Ezekiel 38 & 39. I have previously given a lot of thought about a gap period between the Rapture of the Church and the beginning of the Tribulation when the Antichrist confirms the 7 year covenant with Israel. It makes sense for a variety of reasons which Berner thoroughly explains. One area that I hoped Berner would have discussed (but actually it isn't relevant necessarily to the Magog Gog war) was whether America is the Mystery Babylon of Rev. 17 & 18. I bring this up because Berner does mention in several places the return of the Jews to Israel from around the world. In Rev. 18:4, it says, "...Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." Just who are "my people?" Are these the Jews in Mystery Babylon (America) that the Lord is calling to go home to Israel before Mystery Babylon is destroyed? It is my understanding that America has more Jews nation wide then Israel has, or very close to same number. "My people" is certainly not the Church," as the Rapture has already taken place. Can't be the Tribulation saints either. J. Vernon McGee in his commentary on Revelation says: "The warning is two fold: (1) they are to have no fellowship with the sins of Babylon; (2) and they are to flee before judgment falls." And flee to where? McGee doesn't identify these people nor does he say where they will flee to. Now Berner says on page 13 (last paragraph), that "The most likely scenario involves a Russian nuclear first strike against the United States and other nations of the West to neutralize their ability to intervene in the invasion of Israel." I agree whole heartedly with Berner regarding this possible scenario. America is doomed for direct judgment from the Lord for her sins have reached unto Heaven (verse 5) - there is no doubt about that. In verse 10, it says in one hour is thy judgment come. Just where does this judgment of Mystery Babylon fit in chronologically? I think possibly it will be shortly after the Rapture, but before the 7 year Tribulation period. Before or after the Magog war? Certainly before the Antichrist desecrates the Tribulation Temple. Seems to fit Berner's statement on page 14 wherein he says, "Jews will flock to Israel in celebration while much of the world mourns its losses." Also, see pages 116 (top of page), 158 & 236. There has been a large immigration of Jews from Russia to Israel, but not from America.
Berner mentions that the nations surrounding Israel are not in the Russian led group, which is true. Why? Perhaps they are destroyed prior to the Magog invasion of Israel (pages 150-151). Something obviously has to happen to the Palestinians (Hamas et al) and other Jihad terrorists, and the Hizbollah of the north in Lebanon (Isaiah 10:23-25, 34). Furthermore, the nations that align themselves with Russia in the Magog war are Islamic, as I understand it, but not Arab, which I believe is true (as Arnold Fruchetenbaum and Chuck Missler believe - page 53). See Psalms 83.
I believe that the Day of the Lord follows immediately after the Rapture of the Church, and not necessarily after the Magog war as Berner seems to believe.
I highly recommend Douglas Berner's book as it is one of the best researched books on the subject of the Gog Magog war that I have read. Berner is to be commended on a wonderful written book - it has excellent structure - is easy to read. My prayer would be that every Christian and non-Christian would purchase it and read it.
Essential Reading As The Middle East Heats Up.......2006-09-25
Current events in the Middle East continue to grab the world's attention to the point that even non-Christians can often be heard bringing up the subject of the "Battle of Armageddon." What will the end result be of this impending clash between so-called "Christian Fundamentalist" George Bush, and Islamic Fundamentalist Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran? What can Israel expect as Iran, Syria and Russia continue to finance and arm terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah? Will Israel ever find peace this side of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? Author and Bible scholar Douglas Berner provides answers to these very pertinent questions in his new book The Silence Is Broken! God Hooks Ezekiel's Gog and Magog. This book is one of the most important books written in the past few years on the subject of Bible Prophecy and, as the title implies, Berner focuses on the major end-times regional war involving Israel and her neighbors that was predicted by the Old Testament prophet Ezekiel.
What Berner shows is that the invasion of Israel by "Gog of the land of Magog" should be understood as the event that provokes God to finally "break His silence" in His dealings with Israel and the nations of the world, bringing forth the apocalyptic "Day of the Lord" predicted by God's prophets throughout the Old and New Testaments. The end-times "Tribulation" will not begin ambiguously or gradually, but with a global and catastrophic outpouring of the wrath of God upon the nations of the world for the specific purpose of saving God's unique nation, Israel, from certain destruction.
The Silence Is Broken! examines all of the different views that have been presented over the years by various scholars in dealing with the Magog invasion, and Berner is very fair in his analysis of each of them. However, he is not afraid to break new ground and arrive at new conclusions when the Biblical texts require it. The major area of analysis in which such a revision takes place is in the area of chronology and in correlating the Magog invasion with the prophecies found in Daniel and the book of Revelation. Like most dispensational scholars Berner arrives at a Pre-70th Week fulfillment of the Magog invasion, but when he also places the Magog invasion and its aftermath parallel to the Seals of Revelation and the first four Trumpets he goes a step further. The implication is that the standard dispensational chronology needs to be revised to allow for the 70th Week of Daniel to begin sometime after the early Trumpet judgments of Revelation, which is a revision that has also been called for by scholars such as myself, as well as by David Lowe of Earthquake Resurrection.
Issues surrounding the chronology of Revelation and the fulfillment of the Day of the Lord will certainly continue to be hotly debated, but even if readers do not welcome the idea of a chronological revision they will still find a great deal of important information in Berner's book. One of the ideas that Berner examines that will probably be of great consequence is the idea that the Magog invasion will be falsely portrayed as the fulfillment of the "Battle of Armageddon." After this devastating Israel-centered conflict takes place the world will probably look back upon it as the significant event that marked the transition from the old age into the new. Berner refers to it as "the day that will be misunderstood," and comments at length on the potential deception that will arise as the appearance of the Antichrist is portrayed as the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to the unsaved world.
The Silence Is Broken! is the most thorough and up-to-date analysis of Ezekiel's "Magog Invasion" that is currently available. It is a serious study of all of the different questions surrounding the conflict and its' relation to the Day of the Lord, yet it is also very readable and easy to understand. Every student of Bible prophecy and current events should obtain a copy, and I plan to purchase several more myself to give to pastors in my area. Israel is the key to understanding the end-times, and the Magog invasion will be the spark that causes God to once again make Himself known to Israel and to the world. Douglas Berner's The Silence Is Broken! pulls all of the various texts together, and his book could very easily become the basis for a much clearer approach to understanding the relationship between Bible prophecy and current events in the Middle East.

The Islamic interpretation of End Times prophecy.......2005-07-11
Karl Marx was mistaken when he said religion is "the opiate of the people." To the contrary, it seems religion is more like a catalyst for violence. Take, for example, the jihad in the Caucasus. In today's turbulent times, it is necessary to go to the source, in order to gain a modicum of understanding. This book explains the Scriptural reasons behind the current conflict in the Caucasus. The Qur'an,like the Christian Bible, speaks of the Antichrist(Dajjal), Gog and Magog (Ya'juj and Ma'juj),and the Beast (Dabbat al-Ard) in connection with the End Times prophesies. Until the dissolution of the USSR, Christian scholars rather simplistically identified Gog and Magog as the USSR or "Russia." More specifically, the Caucasus region.
The Qur'an also mentions the Persian conqueror Dhu-l-Qarnain (Darius 1, 521-485 BC), whose Empire extended from the Black Sea to the mountains of Armenia and Azerbaijan, from Tubal (present day Tblisi, in Georgia) to Mechech (present day Chechnya). Gog and Magog, according to the Qur'an, are two tribes from among the descendents of Japheth, son of Noah. Significantly, the Chechens' original name for themselves, "Nokhchi" means "Noah's
People," and their language, Nukh, is declared to be that of the ancient Patriarch.
While the Qur'an asserts that Gog signifies the Eastern nations of Europe, Qur'anic scholars identify Magog as the Western nations of Europe, personified as England. Maulana Muhammad Ali cites proof: since ancient times the statues of Gog and Magog have stood before the Guildhall of London.
In the vision of Damim Dari: after a month-long voyage to a large western island (considered to be Britain), the Christian convert to Islam encounters a huge figure shackled within a
church. The being identifies himself as Masih al-Dajjal, the Antichrist, who expects to be released before long, when "I shall sally forth in the whole world, excepting Makkah and
Madinah."
The Antichrist of the Qur'an, therefore, is the false religion of Christianity, whose pillaging has been manifested "in the East." Islam believes in Messiah, and in Jesus, son of Mary, a
great prophet. But the Qur'an denounces the Christian doctrine of the Divinity of Christ as a great tribulation of humanity: "The heavens may almost be rent thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, that they ascribe a son to the Beneficent!" The Promised Messiah will destroy the Antichrist (whose doctrines profane Jesus), refered to in prophecy (hadith) as "breaking the Cross."
Besides the whole of Christendom, the forces of Antichrist include 70,000 Jews. Ali points to the Zionist "control of America and Europe" as present day fulfillment of this prophecy.
The Biblical designation of the "Beast" has been applied to the United Nations, its 10 horns signifying the original 5 members (America, Russia, England, France, China), and 5 future
members (perhaps the pact-applicants Germany, Brazil, Japan, India; and recent aspirant Egypt).
The Qur'an is less specific than the Bible regarding the Apocalyptic Beast. Ali suggests it represents the non-spiritual pursuits of the infidel nations which "enslave" Muslims; i.e. a
punishment for those Muslims who are enticed by worldly [Western] materialism and promiscuity.
In light of the Islamic interpretation of Antichrist and Gog and Magog, al Qaeda's need to establish a pan-Islamist caliphate (imamate) in the Caucasus becomes clear. As does its
reason for declaring war on the "Crusaders and Zionists." (Bible prophesy seems to agree that Gog of Magog, the pan-Islamist Caliphate, will attack Israel in the End Times, ushering in Armageddon.)
However, the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Anjuman Ishaat Islam, publisher of this booklet, seeks to "revive the original liberal, tolerant, and rational spirit of Islam," claiming that Islam "has never advocated coercion, the use of physical force, or the pursuit of political power in its support." Indeed, some of Maulana Muhammad Ali's writings, particularly regarding the rights of women, demonstrate this fundamentalist sect's opposition to Wahhabis and other radicals. Even in regard to the Great Satan, Ali does not exhort Muslims to attack the
infidels, but quotes Scripture suggesting that the "resplendence of the sun of Islam" will "rise inthe West," that is; numbers of the followers of Antichrist (i.e. Christians) will be saved by
peaceful conversion to Islam.
Why then, does this Pakistani sect of "pure" Islam not confront and denounce the violent jihadists who disgrace the faith? Instead of making incendiary references to the "terrible warfare between Christian Europe and Islam," and about the Jews, who according to the Qur'an are to "be [as] apes, despised and hated"...?
In this, too, it seems the answer becomes clear. A very important book.
A scholarly clarification of a misunderstood subject........1999-10-24
This has got to be one of the best books any Muslim can read. It reveals the truths regarding the mysterious Dajjal and Gog and Magag. The prophecies relating to these figures are explained in such a way as to convince even the most unrelenting critic. What is most satisfying is that the explanations of the prophecies can be witnessed in the world we live in today! Those whose conscience would not allow them to believe in the fairy-tale like stories normally related to this topic, will be overwhelmed to learn the true realistic significance of the prophecies of the antichrist in the latter days as well as the convincing evidence in support of this interpretation (from the Quran, Bible, and Hadith reports). Customer Reviews:
Should Be Required Reading On The Middle East........2002-04-27
The author's knowledge and insight into Biblical prophecy portrayed in this book should be required reading. The events that he documents here are clearly taking shape even as I write.
In view of the circumstances surrounding the Middle East at this time, I would highly recommend that this book be re-released and updated. I am sure that a ready audience awaits.
The author documents all the peoples involved in this particular Biblical prophecy and relates them all accurately to the role that they will play in the future.
His military knowledge is extensive and his revelations of the military situation behind the coming alliance will shock many people.
I would have much appreciated an update in view of current Middle East events and the author's insight as to how they might fit into the schedule of the events covered in detail in the book to date.
Disturbing Similarities.......1999-03-13
Chuck Missler's book "Magog Invasion" (1995) has several disturbing, seemingly undocumented, similarities to Dr. Edwin Yamaguchi's book "Foes from the Northern Frontier: Invading Hordes from the Russian Steppes" (1982). If one compares the following quotes from Missler's book with those of Yamaguchi's prior book, one finds:
"Magog Invasion" (Missler, 1995) (p. 51): "The name Scythian designates a number of nomadic tribes from the Russian steppes, one group of which invaded the Near east in the 8th and 7th centuries B.C. After being repulsed from Media, many of the later Scyths settled in the fertile area of the Ukrain north of the Black Sea. Other related tribes occupied the area to the east of the Caspian sea."
"Foes from the Northern Frontier" (Yamaguchi, 1982) (pp. 63-64): "The name Scythian designates a number of nomadic tribes from the Russian steppes, one group of which invaded the Near east in the eighth and seventh centuries B.C. After being repulsed from Media, many of the later Scyths settled in the fertile area of the Ukrain north of the Black Sea. Other related tribes occupied the area to the east of the Caspian sea."
And again:
"Magog Invasion" (Missler, p. 54): "Herodotus indicates that the Scythians were active in Media southwest of Lake Urmia. It is also evident in the Assyrian texts that the Scythians were active directly south of the lake. A spectacular discovery of treasure of Ziwiye in this area now offers corroborative evidence of the Herodotus accounts."
"Ziwiye is 25 miles east of Modern Sakkea in Kurdistan in northwest Iran. The name Ziwiye may preserve the Akkadian name Zibie (Izibie), a site attacked by Sargon II in 716 and by Ashurbanipal in about 665."
"Foes from the Northern Frontier" (Yamaguchi, 1982) (pp. 72-73): "Herodotus indicates that the Scythians were active in Media southwest of Lake Urmia. It is also evident in the Assyrian texts that the Scythians were present in Mannean territory directly south of the lake. (See maps 4 and 6.) A spectacular discovery of treasure of Ziwiye in this area now offers corroborative evidence of the Scythian presence."
"Ziwiye is located 25 miles east of Modern Sakkea in Kurdistan in northwest Iran. The name Ziwiye may preserve the Akkadian name Zibie (Izibie), a site attacked by Sargon II in 716 and by Ashurbanipal in about 665."
Several other examples of similar disturbing similarities can be found in Missler's "Magog Invasion". If one examines "Magog Invasion" carefully, one finds that Dr. Yamaguchi is not specifically cited as the author of these amazingly similar passages, but is merely cited as an overall bibliographic reference. One can find more extended evidence of such similarities at "The Calvary Chapel Frequently Unanswered Questions" webpage.
Bible prophecy revealed!.......1998-09-24
Yes! Russia, Iran, Turkey, and other middle east countries will attempt to invade and destroy the nation of Israel. And these events will likely take place in our time!
No one teaches Bible prophecy like Chuck Missler. The often debated chapters 38 and 39 of Ezekiel are described simply and clearly in this book, "The Magog Invasion". This book is an excellent commentary on these chapters of the Bible.
Missler gives a historical overview, starting in Biblical times to the present day of Russia and her neighbors. Learn how the Bible predicts the coming war of Russsia and Israel, and all the implications! Even discover how clearly the Bible descibes nuclear weapons technology thousands of years in advance!
