Book Description
Is sex more trouble than it's worth? Are you too slow? Do you rely excessively on prolonged (even painful) intercourse, oral sex or vibrators? Is your orgasm hit or miss?
Now with this bold but simple 3 step program, any woman - YOU - can achieve orgasm without difficulty during sex. IMPOSSIBLE? Not if you follow the quick and easy formula you will learn in this book.
Now there is hope for any woman suffering the agonizing frustration of a too-slow, unreliable or non-existent orgasm. Five Minutes to Orgasm once and for all crushes the dogma that achieving orgasm must take longer for a woman than it does for a man.
Stop blaming your partner for being too fast, inept and uncaring. Five Minutes to Orgasm describes in frank, detailed terms a method for making female orgasm the natural, effortless outcome of each and every lovemaking experience, and frees him from slavery to the female orgasm.

Educational.......2007-09-12
This book is easy to read, entertaining and educational, a trusty guide to the physical means to that wonderful and mind blowing orgasm.
Five Minutes to Orgasm.......2007-09-11
I decided to buy this book because I've always had problems reaching orgasm when my husband and I make love, and I was hopeful that there was something I hadn't tried. This book is great, especially for a woman who hadn't really tried the technique the author suggests. I guess I thought there was something wrong with it, or I hadn't thought of using manipulation and intercourse together. But the author makes a good case for the point of view of the book, and even though I am relatively inexperienced at masturbation, I decided to practice more as the author suggests. I would recommend this book as an augmentation to other sexual literature, depending on how experienced you are, whether you do or do not have difficulty reaching climax. It gives more detailed and complete explanations than many, somewhat more than your average "improve your relationship" type of books give. From talking to some of my other women friends, especially those who are not embarrassed to admit they still haven't gotten it "right," many of us could use this refresher course in making love.
Faster and Efficient Orgasms.......2007-09-08
If you are one of the many women who have a problem in this area, in order to achieve orgasm during intercourse, you need to learn how your body works. Learn how to get in positions where you can move your hips and easily reach your clitoris for a fast and easy orgasm. You can continue to try reaching orgasm through thrusting alone and end up dissatisfied, or you can guarantee your orgasm every time you have sex by using this book.
Purchased for a Friend.......2007-09-08
I bought this book for a friend who has been having the kind of trouble with her sex life that I used to have - trouble reaching orgasm. It was never impossible for me; just difficult. From this book, I quickly learned the new approach (although nothing's really "new") and immediately tested it with my boyfriend. It worked, and he was impressed. The book is well-written and an easy read. The formula is described so that it is easy to do.
Five Stars or More.......2007-08-28
WOW! I give this book FOUR stars for the step by step instructions and a sense of humor to make it go down easier. I am 40 years old and sex has gotten to be so much trouble, my husband and I hardly ever do it anymore. I've always been able to masturbate to orgasm but couldn't achieve orgasm through intercourse. I learned there is nothing wrong with me and most women need direct or indirect clitoral stimulation to reach orgasm.
This book deserves FIVE stars for giving me more self confidence to experiment, and for giving me the courage to try using what I already knew in a new way. I'm a little more adventurous and more aware of what works and as a result of reading this book, I'm consistently reaching orgasm with my husband during sex and it doesn't take all night - which we are both too tired to handle anyway!!

Book Description
Here's another entry in our wildly popular series of very short stories that can be enjoyed, start to finish, in less time than it takes to brew a cup of tea. This new anthology of pleasingly brief tales features contributions from some of the best writers of erotica today. While most of the stories feature heterosexual sex, Five-Minute Erotica also offers a good mix of fantasy situations, including lesbian encounters and ménages à trois.
Customer Reviews:
Short pornography.......2007-07-29
A good collection of short sexy iterludes. No plots, no characterization -- just sex! Great for a quick "change of pace" from other reading.
Short and Sweet.......2007-03-21
A very enjoyable book with bite size stories that don't waffle about with excess padding. The storyline is established and cuts to the action very quickly. It is a collection of erotic stories by different writers so each has a different style and feel about it. That is not a bad thing and on the whole most of the stories are excellent. The odd one, perhaps leaves you feeling a bit short, you feel they could have taken the bit in their teeth (or something else) and taken the story on a bit further, but on the whole it is very good. I found that it was a good book to open for a few minutes read to perk you up for the day. I particularly liked THE BOUNTY OF SUMMER by Carol Queen, that was very erotic story. I would highly recommend the book. Another book I would recommend that you have a look at, which has perhaps a stronger sexual content, is 100 PERCENT EROTICA by Suzie Van Aartman. This book could well become a classic in my opinion.
Good.......2007-01-15
This is good, it isn't overly racy...it is a little conservative and on the tame side, but also very polished and sophisticated.
I think that experienced readers of erotic romance novels would not be satisfied with this collection as the stories are three to four pages each and therefore don't build to a suspenseful crescendo. For readers searching for a tasteful introduction to erotica, this has some beautiful work and there is something for everyone and every age between it's pages.
Luke warm.... if your 80 yrs old!.......2006-06-14
Everyone's idea of erotica is different. Now that that is out of the way, this book sucked. Sure there was a couple of good stories but 99% was hot if you are an 80 yr old person. Erotica should get someone hot and rearing to go. This had me ready to go to bed, and sleep the rest of the night. B_O_R_I_N_G sums up this LAME book.
A good first foray into erotica.......2005-08-01
I have never been an erotica reader before, but my wife and I thought we'd try it. It has definately added something fun and a little naughty to our sex life. The first few stories are a little slow, but they pick up.
Book Description
Five-Minute Activities is an invaluable source of ideas for language teachers. It contains resources of over 130 short activities for the language classroom: some are well-tried favourites clearly restated, others are new ideas or variations. Teachers will find activities which can be used to: * help learners to learn or practise particular aspects of language * help students and teacher to get to know each other * provide a smooth transition between two major parts of a lesson * supplement a coursebook * introduce or round off lessons. The activities are designed to combine learning value with interest and enjoyment. Most of them can be adapted to suit classes of different levels of ability, and in many cases there are additional suggestions for variations or extensions of the basic activity. Almost all the activities can be student-led.
Customer Reviews:
Endlessly useful.......2007-08-11
I taught adult EFL in Poland this summer, and this book was the most popular by far with all the teachers. Even if you don't use an activity straight out of the book, flipping through helped me generate ideas of my own. Yes, it very much depends on your students, class size, level, etc.--but what's new about that? The activities range from the true quickie "filler" to sound ideas on practicing grammar points. And yes, I did have to adapt most of the ideas, but that's nothing new either. It's pricey, but I think worth it.
Ideas, but they are few and obvious.......2007-02-19
I only found one idea that I'd consider using in this book. It's thin for $25.00 and the activities are largely variants on very simple ideas I've already seen in fifty other places. I don't think you need this book unless you really have no ideas at all, in which case it's as good as any other book.
Useful.......2007-02-13
I have already used some of the activities in class.
Oriented more to high school, and I have early college ESL
I take exception for its usefulness for EVERY teaching situation..........2006-03-20
This book has been of limited usefullness for me. I've found only a few activities in here that would be practical for my classes of 40 Korean middle schoolers, but I also believe I'm in a bit of an unusual situation trying to teach English to such big classes. That being said, I did find it useful for, if nothing else, getting my own ideas rolling. I would also like to add that it's rather pricey for a flimsy little book, but I'm sure that if my situation were different it would have been well worth the money. I can pretty much recommend it to everyone EXCEPT those with unusually large class sizes, but it would be good for them too if they could find it used. Otherwise there are good resources to be found online for free.
Good Activity Resource Book.......2005-07-20
This book contains many quick activities that require little preparation. It's a good tool for use in the EFL classroom. Many of the activities seem geared for middle school and up, though they can be easily adapted for elementary students. This book would be quicker to use if the activities were marked as appropriate for beginner, intermediate and advanced at the beginning of the description.

Five Minutes to a Great Real Estate Letter.......2007-09-17
The product was good. It contained everything I've wanted. But it would be nice if it would contain some photos of some of the letters or products inside the book to make it easier to determine if this is the right product or not.
disappointed.......2007-08-09
I was very disappointed the second I got this book and cracked it open. I purchased it because I considerd myself a poor letter writer and wanted new fresh creative ideas. These sames and mostly very short, seemed shallow, unfinished, and are very simple and elementary. As for me. this was a waste of money. I am obviously much more creative than I thought and would never send a client a letter with 4-5 short sentences.
Not worth the money!!.......2006-03-27
I don't think this book worth the price. All the letters are very basic, a bit outdated and follow old prospecting techniques. Some of the letters can only be use after you made a call or you met with a prospect. There is nothing impressive about this book.
I'd expect to see more eloquent and articulate letters. My broker wrote better letters and they are free.
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!.......2006-02-24
This book has been quite helpful for me in writing letters that sound so professional, but like I wrote them myself. Sure saves the brain alot of time on trying to construct a personal but professional letter.
Great book!.......2005-08-13
This is an excellent book for both new & experienced real estate agents. The letters sound intelligent and professional, and they're informative without being either too informal or sounding stilted. The CD included with the book was especially helpful, because you can just download all the letters onto your computer & personalize them with your own information or make changes. Real estate agents are too busy to have to re-invent the wheel every time they need to write a professional-sounding letter. These are GREAT templates. Highly recommended.

Feeling overwhelmed on a daily basis is no fun for anyone, but changing your mindset requires time that just doesn't exist. Or does it? Five Good Minutes claims time can be found, and backs up that claim with 100 simple exercises that help get your day off to a better start. Dr. Jeffrey Brantley (Calming Your Anxious Mind) has created easy ways of modifying things you already do every day--like taking a shower--into moments that combine grateful awareness with deep relaxation.
Most of the exercises begin with what the author calls "breathing mindfully", and learning that technique is the only item in the book that might take more than five minutes. The nine-step instructions for a basic form of meditation are easy to follow, but could take a little practice if you're a newcomer to such techniques. You're also encouraged to use other techniques you're already familiar with that create a similar feeling of calm centeredness.
The exercises are arranged in broad categories like "peaceful awareness" and "growing wiser and kinder", allowing you to follow along through the book or skip around to the most appealing ones. Each one--from giving yourself a quick foot massage and a hug to paying special attention to your first sip of tea or coffee in the morning--is aimed at creating a short moment of peace and happiness in your otherwise frantic day. And hopefully you'll find that the five-minute exercise creates a lasting feeling of well-being that allows you to reconnect with the joy hiding in your busy schedule. Jill Lightner

great read.......2007-08-16
I love this book. It offers great ways to stay calm & focused in just five minutes.
Take five mnutes to get this book!.......2007-05-31
Can five minutes make a difference in your life?
The answer is a resounding YES, according to authors
Jeffrey Brantley and Wendy Millstone in FIVE GOOD
MINUTES IN THE MORNING (see also Section 2)--a most
informative book that is filled with suggestions on what
can be accomplished in such a brief period of time.
To begin with, you should start with mindful breathing and
follow that with mindful listening . . . you are then ready
to act wholeheartedly, in which you do something with
all your attention and energy.
The authors give you a choice of 100 different practices, any
and/or all of which can be used to get your day off to a
great start . . . some of them may some basic, but methinks
if you actually tried to implement at least some of them,
you couldn't find a better way to begin start your day.
Or in certain instances, end it as was the case with the
following exercise that I've already started to put to good use:
If you inherited the worry wart gene, then you're well versed
in the mental ruminations that can plague a quiet night at home.
You worry about the strange ticking noise that the car started
making. You worry about an awkward conversation you had
with your boss. You may find yourself on a hamster wheel of
worries, running in circles but not making any forward progress
at all.
The following practice will help you stop spinning your wheels
and let go of those bothersome thoughts.
1. Begin by making a mental or written list of all your worries,
large or small, rational or far-fetched.
2. Visualize or find a small wastepaper basket or box in
which you can stash your worries.
3. Imagine tearing off each individual concern or fear and tossing
it into your storage bin. If you've made a written list, go ahead
and actually do this.
4. Say these words out loud: "I am letting go of these
nagging thoughts. Some are important and some are not.
But right now, I am reclaiming my right to enjoy life, live
fully, and feel safe and secure tonight."
Today, let me add one more exercise to the aforementioned
100; i.e., take the time today to get your own copy of FIVE
GOOD MINUTES . . . this slight investment will pay itself
back many times over.
Five Good Minutes in the Morning.......2007-05-13
The product arrived on time and in the c0ondition advertised.
Great Way to Start the Day - Or Any Other Moment.......2006-07-13
The power in this book isn't necessarily in the DOING of the exercises but the contemplation of these little activities. I find that picking the book up when I've got a moment and reading one or two of the exercises gives me ample pause and brings on the results at which the suggested activity aims. I can say that DOING the exercise does make the result more intense or satisfying but benefits can be had by simply taking a moment to think about the suggestion at hand. In any case, I recommend this easy to follow and effective manual to living a more peaceful and peaceable life. I suppose any book which has at its' heart such worthy objectives as living more peacefully can't be bad! It certainly worked for The Bible.
Five Great Minutes.......2006-04-04
Five Good Minutes is a brilliant little book. It's compact so I can take it everywhere, and the meditations are very useful for daily life. Depending on my need/mood, I flip through to find a helpful meditation and then do it. I have had night anxiety for years. The relaxation meditation has helped me calm down before bed each night, alleviating stress and worry in order to fall asleep. I am grateful to have found this great little book!

Alive in 5.......2007-06-14
This is a great book for those who want a quick, healthy meal that looks good and taste YUMM too. Bought this book for my daughter who has been doing the "raw lifestyle" for 2 years now. She loves all the easy to make recipes. Angela Elliott(the Author) makes the process so easy that even a person who can't find herself around the kitchen (like my daughter) could even create a great looking meal. Gourmet without the works. What a concept.
Dr.H
You call this gourmet?.......2007-03-27
I think the title of this book is quite misleading. I'm giving it two stars because I think the author is representing it as something it's not: "gourmet food".
While the recipes are not complicated, most of them are far TOO simple. Over and over, I kept asking myself, "for THIS I need a recipe book??" For example, "Cucumber Pizza", which sounds intriguing, is nothing more than chopped olives on slices of cucumber. "Scrambled Eggs", which sounds like something you wouldn't find in any ordinary raw food recipe book is -- are you ready for this? -- 3 ripe avocados mashed in a bowl, add salt and pepper! The "salad" recipes are the most basic of salads ... if you can chop some vegetables and lettuce into a bowl, add some lemon juice, olive oil and your favorite seasonings, you already know how to make most of the salads in this book.
There are several different nut milk recipes, each with a fancy, delicious-sounding name, but they're all the exact same recipe ... only the kind of nut you use is different.
Many of the recipes call for the pulp left over from making nut milk, and some of the soup recipes require nut milk. So unless you've taken the time to make nut milk, and have saved a supply of the pulp, you're out of luck.
One problem I have with many raw food recipe books is the inordinate amount of nuts, seeds and avocados called for. One recipe in this book calls for 5 avocados to make a dish that serves 3 people (just about all the recipes in the book make 3 servings). A taco recipe calls for 2 cups of soaked sunflower seeds in the pate', plus an avocado in the filling, and another cup of sunflower seeds to make the "sour cream" topping ... serves 3. I don't like gorging on fats, even if they are the healthy kind.
Some recipes call for coconuts, which is a no-go for me, because I don't want to have to deal with cracking coconuts and scraping out the flesh, etc. One recipe (that makes 3 servings) calls for 3 young coconuts.
I'm a big proponent of raw foods, and have a large collection of raw food recipe books. For "quick and simple" recipes, I especially like Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 People, by Jennifer Cornbleet. Raw Foods for Busy People by Jordan Maerin is another favorite. But I cannot recommend Alive in 5, for all the reasons mentioned above. Perhaps if it were titled more honestly, something like "Dishes You Really Don't Need a Recipe Book For", I wouldn't have been so disappointed with it. I'm not saying there aren't some tasty combinations of foods in this book, but many of them are just TOO simple. To call it "Gourmet Meals" is misleading.
Positively Transformational Un-Cookbook!.......2007-03-04
I never really liked to 'cook', but this book shows how to make fabulous, healthy food in a jiffy without heating up your kitchen or working up a sweat! I love the unique look, feel and taste of these 'Alive in Five' recipes! Alive in 5: Raw Gourmet Meals in Five Minutes
Delicious gourmet in about 5 minutes.......2007-02-27
Alive in 5: Raw Gourmet Meals in Five Minutes My family and I really love this book.
I think Alive in Five is perfect for anyone, especially if you are a beginner. All the recipes are simple, scrumptious and really only took us about five minutes to make. I have already started to feel more confident in the kitchen.

Empathy for Moms.......2007-05-24
After ranting on the phone to a friend about my life with twin toddlers, she sent this book to me as a gift. What a gift! It was a huge hit for the whole family! It made me laugh because it captured my exasperation with mothering toddlers in an honest and humorous way. My girls loved Jill Murphy's amusing illustrations and the funny chaos that the Large kids create. And most importantly, they were able to empathize with Mrs. Large. Woo hoo! It gave us the perfect set up to teach our kids that parents need breaks too (and that even a shortened break of 3 minutes and 45 seconds is a welcome respite to refuel the zapped energy!)
Love this book, as do my children!.......2007-05-12
Such a cute book, great way to explain how a mom needs a break sometime too! We really needed this!
My Favorite Book.......2007-03-21
I love to give this book to new mothers. It was given to me when I had my first daughter and it made me laugh! How true it is to try and get a simple bath or shower once you have a child.
One of my favorite books for small children.......2006-09-15
If you want a book that entertains not only the child but also the parent, this is it.
My husband used to read it to my son over and over again. He would read it with such passion, such understanding!
Then I would read it to my son too.
This book is loved by children, fathers and mothers and all care givers. You will love it too!
Have you ever just wanted some quiet, alone time?.......2004-06-18
All mothers will easily be able to relate to Mrs. Large. Mrs. Large just wants five minutes of peace away from her three children, so she decides to take a bath. Minutes later her children join her, one by one, and end up in the bathtub with her. Finally she has had enough, and goes downstairs "where she had three minutes and forty-five seconds of peace before they all came to join her."
Mrs. Large and her family are all elephants, which causes for some absolutely wonderful drawings. My favorite is probably when she is sitting in the bathtub, sipping tea, while wearing a yellow flowered shower cap. The pictures in general are really cute, colorful and expressive. The story is told in a very straightforward, endearing manner. In my opinion, this is a great book.

great book.......2007-08-16
I love this book. It offers great ways to stay calm & focused in just five minutes.
Use it!.......2007-07-07
I picked up this book thinking, "Ahhh, a small, fluffy, 'try this or try that' collection of tips in a book form. How.... splendid." I am always glad when I find out how wrong I was about a really valuable resource such as this one!
The book is broken into sections - an introduction which explains the premise of the book, the foundation - incredibly valuable section, and then four sections filled with exercises to try. The exercise sections include Leaving Work at Work, Enriching Your Home Life, Reconnecting with Yourself and Others, and Preparing for a Good Night's Rest.
The Foundation includes an explanation (and practice) of the basic Mindful breathing and Mindful listening techniques. This section alone is worth the investment of the book. You could read that over and over (and apply it, over and over) and change your life significantly.
The practices are icing on the cake, a wide menu of ideas to try out and see what works the best for you.
Highly recommended.

Gather your writing utensils, set the timer to five minutes, and write a short short story. Do not think. Do not judge. Just write. You'll be amazed with what you come up with. The rest, says Roberta Allen, is merely a matter of rewriting and refining. There's something very appealing about the short short form (defined by critic Irving Howe as "a moment rendered in its wink of immediacy" and limited here to 1,000 words). As in poetry, every word and punctuation mark counts. Your characters' histories have to be delivered, if at all, with just a sliver of language. The form is elegant in the way a mathematical proof can be elegant--beautiful and economical--and the examples Allen uses, from the works of Anton Chekhov, Carolyn Forché, Mark Strand, and others, are sublime. (The examples from her students are less compelling, and one does tire of trying to keep her many students straight.)
The center section of the book comprises a nice selection of exercises to get you started. One involves writing stories from photographs; another has you choose one item from a list (such as "a broken promise," "something that was stolen," "a party," "something that hasn't happened yet," "a child," and "a secret") and write a story about it.
The third part of the book, in which Allen makes an argument for using her method to write a novel in five-minute bites, is shakier. Writing longer fiction generally requires some kind of flow that this method doesn't allow for. Using this method for that purpose would require that a lot of energy to be spent creating connective tissue. Even still, the five-minute method would be useful for tapping the unconscious, working through problem spots, and getting going in the morning. After all, doesn't that page look much more inviting once it has some words on it?

Thanks: Let's Fill the World With Sh-t.......2007-09-09
The key word is 'easy'. A writer is BLOCKED because a writer's inner self has nothing REALLY to say and thus the block is a GOOD thing instructive and PAINFUL. The short-short fad has FLOODED the country with mediocre SH-T that is invariably FEY and notable for a terrible SAMENESS. Lit mags are drowning in the 'whimsies' of 'easy method' fiction writers and workshop poets.
The good is the enemy of the great. Some of these writers using such methods get VERY good which makes them the DEADLY enemies of greatness.
Building blocks for writers.......2004-04-26
The basic idea of "Fast Fiction: Creating Fiction in Five Minutes" is that you can really let go and write interesting stuff if you set a timer for five minutes, grab a writing prompt, and free-write for those five minutes. Okay, Ms. Allen doesn't call it free-writing; she explains it as though it's something new. However, she does have a rather new and interesting approach to the use of free-writing, and that has value.
She directly relates these exercises to the short short story form. She also sees the five-minute exercise as a stepping stone, or building block, when working on longer fiction. She presents a great deal of information on the use of these exercises in the creation of short stories, novels and novellas, in terms of both method and revision.
Unfortunately, the text of this book rambles, babbles, and repeats itself; don't read this book while you're sleepy or bored. The five-minute exercise method itself is quite fascinating, however. The ideas for working these exercises into longer pieces save this book from being a simple rehashing of free-writing and turn it into a collection of very interesting ideas.
She makes the point that when free-writing, you need to allow yourself to "make a mess." You can't be thinking of comma usage if you want to see what your unconscious mind has waiting for you. On the other hand, when discussing examples from her students' work, she describes "mistakes" they made as being ones of "carelessness." If she wants people who read her book to let go and write what comes into their heads, then it's a bad idea to indicate that making mistakes would be careless of them.
This isn't a perfect book, and you have to be willing to look past a few small issues, but the ideas are innovative and useful. If you're looking for a new way to jump-start your creativity, this book can be a lot of fun!
GOOD AT GETTING ANYONE IN THE MOOD TO WRITE.......2001-11-16
I read this book and totally loved it. There are so many writing exercises and it's so fun doing them. For example, one topic might be to write about a secret and you have only five minutes to write about it.
When I did the exercises I was so surprised by some of the stuff I wrote. The ideas just came in a flash for me. I found myself with so many ideas rushing through me that I had to slow down a little to actually get everything written down. Occasionally, I would read one of the topics and for a second I'd think something like, "Okay, I can't think of anything to write about an insect" and then the next second I found myself just writing for five minutes straight as the story rapidly unfolded in my mind. When the five minutes were up, I'd be left feeling stunned that I actually wrote a pretty decent story on a subject like the one above.
Although, I've always enjoyed writing, before I read this book I was starting to get a little stuck. I had trouble thinking of topics or finishing short stories. This book really made me want to start writing stories again. I haven't completely finished the book yet, but already it has really helped me out a lot. I undoubtedly reccomend this book to anyone reading this review.
