Total Fulfillment.......2007-06-10
This book contains basic instructions on how to receive all your dreams and desires! This is NOT a self help book. I say that with tongue in cheek.
The catch is, you must read the information and apply it verbatim; every day of your life...to wake up in your dream!
Have fun and enjoy your adventure!
A simple way to change your life for the good........2005-06-16
I read this book several years ago and recently bought another copy to read again (lost my first one). I have to say, since reading this book three years ago, I have used its principles to change my life completely. My life has changed from a life I had always lead, to the life I had always dreamed was possible, but was out of reach. I have told others of the principles in this book and many of them have changed their lives as well. As hard as it is to believe, considering the philosophies in this book are (as I see it) simply an anology, my story is simply true. This book probably doesn't say anything that you haven't already heard in some form, it simply gives you a methodology and way of looking at those things that allows you to use the knowledge that others make so difficult to implement. Those who say that it contradicts religeous beliefs are truly missing the meaning of the book. The views expressed in the book - if taken in context - actually support any and all religeons - I am a Christian. I am now a VERY wealthy person, I have an idyllic life with a wonderful family and I feel real happiness every day. The discovery of this book was the turning point that allowed me to begin a process that has taken me further in the past 3 years than I had come in the previous 36. Thank you Robert Sheinfeld - I wish I could thank you in person ... maybe someday our paths will cross.
Useful overview of the manifestation process.......2005-04-25
The Invisible Path to Success makes the creative process of manifestation easy to understand and implement by using the metaphors of life movies and the Director choosing what to include or exclude from the movie.
Most of us are so trapped in the details of our life experiences that we often blame others for experiences we do not like.Scheinfeld gently guides us to the realisation that we are creating our own experiences. This is a 'truth' that lots of great teachers tell us. Many will find this truth more palatable if they realise that consciously or unconsciously we are choosing what we want to happen in our lives.
The next step is to practise consciously choosing the experiences we want.
A lot of people will be persuaded to try to create their own life movie through this book.
If our 'movie' is lousy, then the answer is to re-do it editing out what we don't want. Sounds easy and it is but we are hampered with our ego. It prevents us often from stepping out of the minutae of our life and seeing that we can consciously create.
This book has helped me to make a better life movie for myself. I am constantly refining my movie.
O God why am I so stupid?.......2004-12-30
Reading through book, I hade a strange filling that I already know author idea from somewhere. Then at chapter "nine" I finally got the revelation from a template latter for my movie director (idea from the book). Ha. This is the same idea us in "The 11th element" and yes also author is the same. Only big difference is that in this book there is no grandfather who give him the system us it is in "The 11 element". He just changed his idea from CEO to Movie director, which lives in clouds above your head, waiting on you letter. Shame on me! My advice: When you are deciding to by a self help books from reviews please read how many people have really made something from it.
Just believe in what you want, do what your intuition tells you, respect your body and breathe, clear your mind of negative chat and you are on the path to the VISIBLE success. Yes, I do not recommend this book.
An old concept made very new.......2003-12-01
Is the universe planned and ordered or is it random and directionless? Is there a Force in charge or do we create our own reality--or is it both? It seems to me that a lot of people are confused about these questions. I certainly was. I've believed in a Plan for my life since I was quite young. Later in life I began to explore my role in the process. I became interested in doing visualizations and affirmations (in additions to prayers) to bring about the goals I set. Sometimes they worked. Sometimes they didn't. Sometimes I got a yes answer to prayer. Sometimes a no.
Robert (Bob) Scheinfeld has written a book that reflects many of the conclusions I've reached in my own journey. What I like most about the book is that it's written simply and clearly.
Bob presents seven steps for us to take to navigate the "path to success" anywhere we really want to go. I was especially glad to find an author who agrees with me that a lot of what's being said about "creating your own reality" doesn't work. He says that much of it doesn't even make sense. "People say what you focus on you create. But take a close look again. Think about all the things you focus on every day--the things you want, the things you don't want, the things you're afraid of, the things you expect. Do they all show up in your life? Again, if you're like me and most of the people I've worked with, you'll see that only a small percentage of what you focus on actually shows up in your life."
He questions why sometimes we do reach our goals and not others; why techniques work sometimes and not other times and for some people and not other people; and why some of our thoughts, beliefs, and feelings show up and others don't.
Bob says he knows that there may be a conflict between what we have believed all our lives and what he is talking about. It's true that his viewpoint is different from much of what's being written out there, but in the very first paragraph of Chapter One he says, "Let go of opinions and use what works for you." What he means by "works for you" is that it produces the results you want.
You won't find the kind of spiritual language in this book that you do in many other self help books. It is implied, but, again, you are free to substitute whatever language works for you. The concepts transcend any tradition.
The most affirming part of the book for me is his view of why certain things happen to us that feel "bad" at the time they're happening. We need to back off and look at the larger picture. If life is random, then we're always a victim.
Bob reached his conclusions after struggling for years with unresolved emotional issues, and he frankly shares personal situations in which he operated from old anger, old beliefs, old pain, and old confusion. The examples he gives are similar to a number of like circumstances in my own life so I could easily relate.
Bob is clearly bucking the tide with this first book in a series that he has planned, but his arguments are compelling, and for me, more convincing than a great deal of other books on the subject. "It's time to remember who you really are--beneath all the layers of programming and conditioning--beneath all the layers of what other people told you about who you should be, how you should act, and what you should feel and do."--Amen to that, Bob.
Book Description
Following his highly successful An Askew View: The Films of Kevin Smith (Applause), John Kenneth Muir now turns to the life and work of legendary cult-film director Sam Raimi. Raimi exploded on the movie scene in 1982, when he was 23 years old, with the audacious, independently produced horror film The Evil Dead. Re-igniting the horror genre to such a degree that Wes Craven credited Raimi on-screen in A Nightmare on Elm Street, Raimi went on to direct two Evil Dead sequels, his own comic-book superhero, Darkman, and an over-the-top, post-modern western, The Quick and the Dead. Raimi's influence on other filmmakers continues to be enormous - from the "shaky cam" shots of the Coen brothers to the early oeuvre of Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson, both of whom have been termed the "direct progeny" of Raimi's works. In 2002, Raimi's Spider-Man had the biggest opening weekend in history, earning more than $114 million at the box office. The Unseen Force also features a sneak peek at the much anticipated Spider-Man 2. Included are 30 first-person accounts and interviews from a number of eclectic sources - from the cinematographers who shot Raimi's early films to the producers, screenwriters, actors, special effects magicians and composers who collaborated to make his films the stuff of legend, earn mainstream success, and still be the focus of obsessive cult followings.

More than thirty firsthand accounts and interviews.......2004-07-16
The Unseen Force: The Films Of Sam Raimi provide a behind-the-scenes, movie-by-movie survey of the career and work of innovative film director Sam Raimi. He made his debut in 1982 at the age of 23 with the independent horror film "The Evil Dead" which was so successful Raimi went on to direct two sequels. Included by film expert John Muir are more than thirty firsthand accounts and interviews with filmmakers that have worked with Raimi, from the cinematographers who shot the early films, to the producers, screenwriters, actors, special effects technicians, and music score composers who collaborated to make his films the stuff of box office legend and the focus of a devoted following of dedicated fans. The Unseen Force is a welcome and greatly appreciated contribution to the annals of filmmaking and filmmaker histories.
The Unseen Force.......2004-06-29
This book is a must have for fans of Sam Raimi. It provides in-depth coverage of all of his movies with information from interviews with members of the cast and crew on each of the films.
The author gives his own commentary on each movie and discusses Mr. Raimi's development as a director. I was already a fan of Sam Raimi because of the Evil Dead films and Spider-Man. After reading this book I am interested in checking out some of his other movies as well.
This is the fifth book I have bought by John Kenneth Muir(Horror Films of the 1970's,Eaten Alive at a Chainsaw Massacre,Films of John Carpenter and Wes Craven:the Art of Horror) and I would recommend each of them to horror movie fans and movie fans in general.
Great book for Raimi fans covering his entire career..........2004-06-12
Having read Bill Warren's "Evil Dead Companion", Bruce Campbell's "If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B-Movie Actor" and Josh Becker's "Evil Dead Journal" (available online at beckerfilms.com) the story of the production of Sam Raimi's classic 1981 film "The Evil Dead" is becoming somewhat tedious. That said, I still managed to learn some new "Evil Dead" info in Muir's book. The main draw of this book is that it gives all of Raimi's films equal coverage, rather than focusing on his two franchises. The aforementioned books by Warren and Campbell are probably better choices if you're simply an "Evil Dead" trilogy fan and Mark Cotta Vaz's books on the production of "Spider-Man" and "Spider-Man 2" (which has a pretty skimpy chapter in "The Unseen Force", but to be fair, the author couldn't have seen it in time for publication) focus mostly on the conceptual stage and offer little insight into Raimi as a director. It's nice to see "Crimewave", "Darkman", "The Quick and the Dead", "A Simple Plan" (Raimi's best film, as far as I'm concerned), "For Love of the Game" and "The Gift" getting some attention rather than used as context for the cinematic adventures of Ash and Peter Parker. The writing is scholarly but enjoyable, and Muir's interviews with Ian Abercrombie, Betsy Baker, Douglas Beswick, Brent Briscoe, Gary Cole, Kevin Conway, Willem Dafoe, Peter Deming, Chris Doyle, Phil Gillis, Daniel Goldin, Richard Grove, Lance Henricksen, Joe LoDuca, William Mesa, Simon Moore, Verne Nobles, Tim Philo, Robert Primes A.S.C., Thell Reed, Cliff Robertson, Amy Robinson, Chelcie Ross, Ellen Sandweiss, Randy Ser, Thomas Smith, Dana Stevens, Tom Sullivan, Theresa Tilly, Sherree J. Wilson and Christopher Young offer a more diversified portrait of Raimi as a filmmaker than previous books (although this is the first to focus primarily on Raimi himself). If there is one area where the book lacks, it is in the actual biographical details. The death of Raimi's older brother Sander, a tragic and defining moment in his childhood, is glossed over, and a few childhood stories in the tradition of Campbell's book would have been nice (nobody from the Raimi family was interviewed for the book, nor was Campbell) but as a look at Raimi's cinematic accomplishments, "The Unseen Force" doesn't disappoint.

The Elements and Their Properties.......2004-07-09
Manly P. Hall, whose influence seems to have grown substantially since his death, wrote this little book in 1929 concerning the elementals. He begins with the four types of the Gnomes, Undines, Salamanders, and the Sylphs. Each pertaining to an element that it controls or dominates. Manly Hall goes on in disucssion about thought forms and emotions explaining, it is not important whether these are real entities in physical reality. In fact, it is better not to believe that. One reason, as explained, is that they are means of expressing a type of psychology of an age. "Unseen Forces" regards ghosts and spectres as a form of thought because there is no innate autonomy within the ghost, but rather move through "wind" of such forces. Hall concludes this book with a talk on the Guardians of the Threshold, being, the ego guarding the unconscious and gives an account of three steps towards wisdom. Much of what holds us back from attaining any type of wisdom is by holding onto the body, i.e. sins of the flesh. He states, "Let us ask nothing of God until we have done our part."

A credulous approach to the world.......2002-10-24
Collinge catalogs a combination of myth, magic, apocryphal stories, and dubious references. He builds these into a house of cards which purports to support a theory that forms of "energy" exist which have one thing in common - they can't be measured. Nor can the supposed effects of any of these be predicted, with repeatable experiments. No wonder they are overlooked by science!
Collinge never expresses any real doubt about these sometimes contradictory approaches. Just one egregious example - he catalogs and then expands on the so-called "Mars effect". In doing so, he completely ignores the statistical analysis which shows that this effect is non-existent. Yet, he urges the reader to take seriously all sorts of nonsense, from Feng Shui to homeopathy.
Nothing is too ridiculous or worthless for Collinge to use as an example of the reality of his specious ideas.
If you want to understand the minds of those who believe anything they read, hear, or receive in email chain letters, read this book. Better yet, read "Why People Believe Weird Things"
by Michael Shermer.
If you would rather make good use of your time, take a look at the even more amazing (but true!) stories in books such as "The Elegant Universe", or anything by Stephen Hawking.
Unseen Energies 101.......2000-12-20
If you are just learning about the unseen energies around us, this is the book for you. If you have studied Feng Shui, Reiki, or any of the other topics covered in this book, you will at best be bored, at worst find "inaccuracies" (most a matter of opinion or preference) and overgeneralizations. It is a wonderful starting point though, and does a fine job of tying many different but related topics together. Start here, and then graduate to more advanced and detailed texts.
Not very deep, but comprehensive.......2000-07-10
This book gives an excellent overview of energies and forces that are currently not recognized by the mainstream of scientific research. I share the previous reviewer's scepticism at the author's detailed knowledge of the many topics he writes about, so I would not recommend this book to someone who seeks to study a particular topic in detail. However, as an introduction or survey of the vast field of esoteric energies, it is more than adequate.
Awankening to many schools of thought.......2000-01-22
I loved this book. It really opened my eyes to the variety of ways that energy affects our lives. Drawing from the most up to date science theories to thousands of years of mystic traditions, the author shows how all things really are tied together with energy. Everyday we have opprtunities to see and alter the exchange of energy with our fellow humans, the planet and the universe. Also by keeping the articles short, the author allowed me to pick up the book and put it down everyday, always having learned something new. A must read.
Lots of information digested in one book--very informative.......1998-01-30
I learned alot---changed my thinking and my approach to life. Cannot say the editing was what it could have been, however, a little choppy, but still a very worthy text and I have and will recommend it.

Karen Mileson has discovered an innovative way of working with the natural flow of this invisible river of energy to achieve optimum well-being. Karen Mileson empowers people to take responsiblity for their own health and well-being.
Book Description
Intangibles are harder to measure, harder to quantify, often more difficult to manage, evaluate, and account for than tangible assets. There is no common language for sharing information about intangible sources of value, and the language used tends to be descriptive rather than quantitative and concrete.
Unseen Wealth stresses the importance of developing standards for identifying, measuring, and accounting for intangible assets, and recommends actions to government and business for improving the quality and quantity of available information about intangible investments. The book articulates a three-pronged set of reforms to help companies construct better business and reporting models, improve the quality of financial reporting, and clarify intellectual property right laws.
Unseen Wealth was developed by the Brookings Task Force on Intangibles, which includes business leaders, consultants, accounting professionals, economists, intellectual property lawyers, and policy analysts.

"Unseen Wealth" Helps Us See The Intangibles.......2001-12-19
Just goes to show you how good Amazon's recomendation engine is - I wouldn't have gone looking for this title, but I am very glad I have it now. This slim volume (only 120 pages, including the notes) goes a long way towards illuminating the importance of "intangible" items such as intellectual capital, research and development, brand names, etc., are to the economic growth and wealth of our society. As the preface to chapter one, Blair and Wallman quote Attorney Lloyd Cutler (commenting on the proposed breakup of Microsoft), "Given that no company can establish a monopoly on brains, how do you keep the people that make it work? There are no tangible assets to divest. There is intellectual property and that's about it - and a building." Exactly! As the events of September 11th so horrily illustrated, you could burn the plant to the ground, but as long as you have a repository of your critical business information, you can resume business anywhere. How we view and deal with our intangible assets may be the one thing that determines whether a company survives or not. I think all managers everywhere should read this book.
Product Description

Fantastic book.......2006-03-01
This book is fantastic for anyone of any religion who is interested in spiritual and unseen matters. Whether you're a taoist or a pentacostle, you'll be at home in the pages of this text. I couldn't believe that it was written the way it was written when I first spotted it in a store and read it. It is so spot on on so many levels that it's amazing. This text is extremely authoritative, and from what I understand, it's got a lot of things right.
