"Turning 50 can be one of the most powerful and positive sexual passages in a man's life," writes Barbara Keesling, a sexuality and psychotherapy educator. However, "the focus has to be on lovemaking, not erections--on partnership, not performance." After 50, men's sexual response is affected by the "Big 5": stimulation, circulation, lubrication, stress, and sleep. Keesling teaches women (and men) how to understand how the "Big 5" affect sex, and specifically what to do about each of them. For example, anything that affects blood flow affects erections: temperature, time after eating, position, friction, gravity, and illness, to name just a few.
Keesling presents a series of exercises designed to keep your man "sexually fit, sexually focused, and sexually fabulous for decades." Some are performed during lovemaking; others are completely separate from sex. Some are done by the woman on the man; others by the man on his own. She also offers her 21 "home remedies" for maximizing sexual enjoyment.
Keesling stresses that mental attitudes--yours and his--are as important as the physical exercises. Understanding his aging process will help you accept his changes and adapt your lovemaking so that it's still exciting, loving, and satisfying, even though it may be quite different. Keesling isn't just talking about sex--she's talking about intimacy, acceptance, and love. And those can be powerful aphrodisiacs. --Joan Price

All Night Long from the guy's view.......2004-02-19
As a man over 50 this is great stuff to read for yourself. Give it to your wife when you are done, but read it yourself first, there is much good stuff to learn here about being a man and being over 50. Very good physiological information, some health & reality checks, a little technique.
All NIght Long, How to Make Love to a Man Over 50.......2002-05-15
I read the book, my husband read the book, we read the book together. A wonderful tool to bring love, romance, and great sex back into a marriage. After 33 years, we feel like newlyweds again.
Excellent Book..........2002-04-09
...for its intended audience, which is lovers of men over 50. It gives advice and insight on making love to a man over 50 without hurting his feelings, and more or less helping him along without him knowing it. However, if you have a more open and communicative relationship with your lover, I would recommned the book "Sex over 50" which is a great book about loving each other.
Book Description
An exciting novel of passion, murder, small-town secrets, and scandal brought to light.
Shy, studious Irene Stenson and wild, privileged Pamela Webb had been the best of friends for one short high school summer. Their friendship ended the night Pamela dropped Irene off at home-and Irene walked in to discover her parents' bodies on the kitchen floor. It was ruled a murder-suicide, and Irene fled the northern California town of Dunsley. But seventeen years later, when Pamela sends a cryptic e-mail asking for help, Irene returns to her hometown to find her old friend has died suddenly, leaving behind a lot of ugly, unanswered questions.
Caught up in a firestorm of desperate deceit and long-buried secrets, Irene knows it would probably be smarter to just pack up and leave Dunsley behind again, but her reporter's instinct-and her own hunger to know the truth-compel her to extend her stay at the local lodge. Even more compelling is the man who runs the place-a hazel-eyed ex-Marine who's as used to giving orders as Irene is to ignoring them. Luke Danner can see the terror beneath Irene Stenson's confident exterior-and he is intent on protecting her. But he is also driven by passions of his own, and together they will risk far more than local gossip to sort out what happened to Pamela Webb, and what really happened on that long-ago summer night. . . .
Customer Reviews:
Great book, really enjoyable.......2007-06-30
I really, really, enjoyed this book. I can't think of two characters I've read in a romance novel in a long time that were so likeable and well-suited. The book had a great love story, good suspence and was very funny in places. I simply didn't want it to end!
Irene Stenson and Luke Danner are a perfect match. They just really 'get' each other in a way that is very rare and romantic. Irene's parents were murdered when she was 15 and she has struggled to be seen as normal ever since. Luke's mother committed suicide when he was 6 and he left the Marines six months ago. Searching for peace and quiet, Luke opened a lodge in Irene's hometown, which she has not visited for 17 years. The pair meet when Irene briefly returns home to meet up with an old friend. Needless to say, the suspence and romance kick off almost immediately as Luke and Irene work together to solve a murder case and find themselves falling in love. Both Irene and Luke are very believable characters, and their actions are solidly based on their pasts and personalities.
I really appreciated the humour in this book. Most of it is created by the fact that Luke treats the paying guests at his lodge like they are army recruits. There is also a lot of fun banter exchanged between Luke and Irene, which makes the book a joy to read. I really liked the fact that Luke treats Irene with respect right from their first meeting, and there are no 'big misunderstandings' or unnecessary rudeness between the two lead characters.
The only off-key note in the book is the inclusion of a sub-plot about Luke's family, who have mistakenly assumed that he has post-traumatic stress disorder. I found this sub-plot quite baffling because I couldn't understand why his family had assumed that Luke had certain problems (which I won't give away here) based on the fact that he ended a short engagement with a woman he didn't love shortly after leaving the Marines.
Overall, this is a great novel and I've already re-read it several times. There is no silliness or eye-rolling stupidity in this book, which makes a refreshing change from some of the romance I've read recently. Instead, the novel is down to each and very realistic. The ending made me cry - the words that Luke says to Irene are simply beautiful :-)
I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did!
Yes! This is JAK at her best.......2007-05-22
JAK has been very spotty in recent years, she's done quite a few books I haven't liked much at all. But then she comes out with a classic and ALL NIGHT LONG is one of them.
A hero and heroine who are interesting characters and have their own quirks -- sparkling dialogue and fast action as the mystery at the center of the story develops. The mystery is a good one and turns out Irene and Luke mesh and understand each other very well because of their quirks! Luke is a guy I could love, Irene is a character to care about. I have read this book about 3 times already and love it every time.
I wish JAK would do more like this one under any name in any time period or on any planet.
How many stars?.......2007-05-14
1) You won't be able to close the book once you started.
2) You won't have any clue of why Irene's "friend" was killed. And when you know you'll be appalled.
3) You'll always read the main story, that means no landscape descriptions or no-sense boring stories.
4) You'll learn to be careful with your family. I mean little and old ones.
5) You won't have a mite inkling of which is the bad guy till the book's end. And then again you'll be astonished.
6) I can't tell you that you'll enjoy the end. But is a real good one.
So yes I rate this book with SIX stars.
Odd Man Out.......2007-05-06
I seem to be the Odd Man Out in my review, but I thought the reading was fine, and I tend to be pretty critical about the audiobooks I will listen too. It was certainly not the best reading ever, but it was pretty fair.
I have heard some horrible audio books and hated them, Jayne Ann Krentz's 'Eclipse Bay' was certainly a terrible waste of money.
The combination of Voices was not that bad. The woman was not terribly memorable, the male voice was fairly soothing.
skimmed to the end.......2007-04-06
This reminded me of a Nancy Drew story in which Nancy gets laid, more than once. If this seems vulgar, then prepare yourself for a big surprise if you read this book. Contrived "in the nick of time" encounters hobble the already weak suspense, and stereotypes abound. You'll be happier with some James Lee Burke.

Has Jessica gone too far?
Elizabeth Wakefield knows her beautiful twin can handle almost any guy--most boys are just no match for Jessica's seductive charms. But Scott Daniels, Jessica's latest love, is more of a man than a boy, much older and much more experienced than anyone Jessica's ever dated.
When Jessica sneaks off to a college beach party with Scott, Elizabeth's afraid of what could happen. And when her twin sister isn't back by morning, Elizabeth's fear turns to alarm. Why has she stayed out all night long?

ITS SPOUSED TO BE ABOUT JESSICA BUT ITS REALLY NOT!.......2005-03-07
Its was kinda good but its spoused to be aobut Jessica and her new college boyfriend. But they only have like one chapter about that. The whole book is mostly about Elizebeth. Like what will she do to help out her sister, her and Todd having some problems. This whole book just revloves around Elizebeth not Jessica. I was very disapointed about this book. Next time they should give a descreption about Elizebeth instead of Jessica!!
An Older college guy.......2005-02-25
Jessica[Typical Jessica] goes out with a college guy named Scott. She sneakes off to a college beach party, and has a little beer. She doesn't come home the next morning for school,Elizabeth does both twins, her and Jessica.Jessica arrives in time for Cheerleading practice, and She said that Scott Daniels did make her sick,While Elizabeth[who pretended to be Jessica] said She threw Scott Daniels in the water because he was being a creep in front of all his friends. She made it all up of course.Elizabeth and Todd have a fight then make up again.
I guess it was good..........2000-03-02
This is good book for great series, but this isn't so very good. I mean that it's okay, but it wasn't so good that I would buy it or something. Jessica was in trouble and Liz was acting Jess. There was happy ending, but they should've write longer book. If they've made other plot too, this could've been better. Borrow it, don't buy it!
I'll rate this with 3 stars! I love the next book of this series - Dangerous Love!
Jessica Does it again.......1999-08-28
I think this book was alright, but it would have been great if that Jssica hadn't gotten away with murder, as usual. And if Elizabeth hadn't let herself get manipulated by Jessica.
ONCE AGAIN. . . . . . ........1999-04-22
Once again, Jessica gets herself into a mess and Elizabeth is left to get her out of it. When Jessica goes to an party with her new boyfriend, Scott Daniels, she doesn't know that this party is an all-nighter. The next morning, Elizabeth wakes up to find Jessica's bed hasn't been slept in (how would she know, since Jessica's bed is never made) A few minutes later, Jessica phones Elizabeth and tearfully announces all that had happened (she deserved everything that happened to her) Unfortunatly, Elizabeth is nw plunged into another one of Jessica's messes, which seems to always happen. Elizabeth vowed not to get herself into one of Jessica's messes, but unfortunatly, Elizabeth is too gullible and weak to keep that up. Now Jessica's mess becomes HER mess as well, as she wouldn't dream of "standing by and watching her own twin sister get into trouble" I seriously doubt that Jessica would all the things that Elizabeth does for her during the school day. The first thing that Elizabeth does is dress up as herself, pretend to leave and then come back into the house and pretend to be Jessica, to fool their mother. The next thing is when Todd and Elizabeth break up because of Jessica and Elizabeth takes a test for her. And then Jessica has the absolute NERVE to blame Elizabeth for the test scores (which were bad) At least she took the test for her. Ungrateful little witch. I can't imagine Jessica doing all that for Elizabeth.

steamy erotic romance .......2006-11-06
Already on board the Caribbean fantasy cruise, Lola Wright finds her fiancé not only failed to make it on board the Aphrodite for their erotic pre nuptial pre-honeymoon that was to end in marriage, he took her money and maxed her credit. She has no means to pay for anything and offers to work her way at sea.
Pleased that her fiancé failed to show up as he likes what he sees, Greek Captain Skandalis agrees that Lola can pay for her stay on the Aphrodite. However, he also says the only available job is spending the voyage as his sexual fantasy; he swears he will help her also with achieving her desires. Though her sea legs feel shaky, Lola agrees to earn her keep as Skandalis' cruising lover.
Lola and the Captain are strong individuals who know what they want and go out to get it (why get cake and not eat it). However, in spite of their attraction from the start and her desperation, some readers will be turned off by their sex peddling deal that turns him into an opportunist "John" and her into his whore. Morality aside, they make a fascinating couple due to the encounters between two robust ardent characters in an interesting exotic locale as ALL NIGHT LONG is not enough for either of them. Fans of erotic romance will appreciate the steamy nights on the Caribbean.

Moments Of Eroticism,.......2006-11-05
Couldn't make up for my shock as our heroine fellate a young man in the lavatory immediately after he'd used it. What The!?! The agreement Lola made with Captain "Mind-Games" had worn thin by the time it became clear, she was being used and toyed with more so than sexually satisfied. Pfft, she should have just ponied up and paid the man, no matter what the final tally was after her shopping sprees. It's one thing to be a handsome man's willing sex slave, where seduction and pleasure are the rewards of passion and newly awakened desire. It's another to be made a fool of, and continue on after you've realized it. The saving grace of the book has to be Rio DeSilva. Who wouldn't love a handsome man that doesn't bed every willing female in his path?

Lola Wright is getting married on a very romantic, adults cruise. Yes, finally, she's convinced her long-time lover and financial adviser, Dennis Fletcher, to tie the knot while enjoying a sensual trip through the Caribbean. She's sporting a big, ole diamond and cherry red, fingernail-polished nipples, and not much else as she watches the handsome captain of the ship explain the exciting activities she and Dennis can take part in. And she's hoping that when her fiancé returns to their cabin she can entice him to take part in a few activities the captain hadn't mentioned. BUT...
Instead of Dennis, Lola receives a note saying he's found his soul mate. And guess what, it's not her. He plans to stay on Aruba. Good bye. Good luck.
Dennis appears to be leaving not only with Lola's broken heart, but with her cash, credit cards, passport--everything but the diamond on her ring finger--which turns out to be as false as his commitment. As if things aren't bad enough, Dennis has wracked up a boatload of charges on the ship that the captain thinks Lola should pay back. No money? Well, there are other ways the lovely Lola can pay...
In All Night Long, Melissa McNeal delivers a romp on a cruise ship with lots of sexy happenings and a little romance. She sees no ports of call, but lots of the inside of a no-holds-barred nightclub, the captain's quarters, the staff pool, the bathroom, the... You get the picture. Poor Lola. Poor sexually-satisfied-in-every-way Lola. Does she pay off her debt? Does she ever get the chance to visit Grenada or any other slice of Caribbean paradise? Well, if she wants to. After all, whatever Lola wants, Lola gets.

All Night Long... : The True Story of Bon Jovi.......2001-08-23
It's clear from this book that this guy cannot write. Bon Jovi are huge and have a huge story to tell. Can you tell it in 99 pages? Of course not. Where 'The Dirt' by Motley Crue is sublime, this book by Wall is ridiculous. There is no style to his writing. His words are far from exciting, and, are infact, boring. Clearly he has done this just for the money. Unless of course, he just can't write. I suspect he is a college grad who's pa works for the publishing company. You get no insight into the band here, and you learn nothing new. Motley Crue are much finer storytellers, and they are not even writers. (Yes I know the book was ghost written by journo Neil Strauss.) Save your money on this one. I have all the books on Bon Jovi, and this is the only one I'd say steer well clear of. It's just a shame I can't get my money back. Still, die hard Jovi fans will lap it up purely because it's about their fave band and they have to have all the stuff they can collect. But anyone with a brain will give up on this past page 12. Mick Wall, who is he? Get a life and learn to write, buddy! But please, no more rock bios! Leave it to the pro's, like Neil Strauss!

I CAN'T SEE..........2000-03-28
I can't see how a book with only 96 pages can cover all the aspects of the career of such a great, good and famous band as Bon Jovi, with already almost twenty years on the road. TO to that, it is necessary a book like Mick Wall wrote about Iron Maiden, called "RUN TO THE HILLS", with almost 300 pages filled with text (not photos).
All Hail the Great Bon Jovi.......2000-03-17
Do you love the Bon jovi as much as i do? Still get goose bumps when you hear Always or the beginning chords of Wanted? Or have you just discovered this great band and want to find out just what you've been missing all these years? Then this book is for you! It covers the everything from their slow but steady start in the bars of New Jersey until their record breaking days as one of the greatest live rock and roll bands ever! But read this book quick because with their new album CRUSH about to hit stores, in June I am quite sure the story is not over. And there will be a quite a few more bon jovi books to read in the not to distant future. But for now this is the best Bon jovi book out there.
A must for Bon Jovi fans!.......2000-03-08
I am a big Bon Jovi fan which made this book very interesting to me. It starts with Jon recording at the Power Station to the madness of Slippery When Wet and New Jersey, to the writing for the These Days album. It covers the trials and tribulations of the band that almost broke them apart and the counseling that brought them back together. Gives great insight to the Young Guns II album with the number one single Blaze of Glory. It is written in British style that makes it harder to read and understand at times but flows well. This is a must for all rock fans and especially fans of the best rock and roll band ever.

Book Description
Count Dracula's fame has spread far and wide. But, alas, he has no friends! Perhaps a party will solve his problem. From disco werewolves to zany zombies, a wild collection of crazy creatures descend upon Count Drac's castle for a party like no other. Debut author-artist Adam Lane has created a fiendishly clever book that will appeal to children and grown-ups alike. The silly text pairs wonderfully with the sensational three-dimensional illustrations. Fun to read aloud and filled with humor, it all adds up to a monstrously good time.

Not a scary monster book.......2006-11-13
I bought this for my 3yr old for Halloween and she loved it. The pictures are great and like other reviewers she's sad about the Count having no friends. I love it when children's books have a chuckle in them for the parent and this one certainly does.
Endlessly Enjoyable.......2006-07-03
This is one of those rare books that my three year old daughter requests over and over again at story time. "Read me the Monster book," she asks several times per week before snuggling into her bed.
Something about this book grabs her attention and holds onto it better than her other books. She feels bad that count Drac has no friends at the beginning and wants his party to be a big success. She loves to look at the silly bats, mummies, and cyclops as they make their way to the party. The zombies are wonderfully, "Yucky." She worries over poor Frankenstein, who has a cold. But, her favorite is the disco dancing wolfman. "He's almost as hairy as you, Dad," she laughs. (I look better in a leisure suit, though.)
The claymation figures are interesting to look at, the language is rythmic and the story of a monster party is just plain fun. This repeatedly requested book earns a five star rating at my house. I hope your kids like it, too.
A frightfully wonderful book!.......2004-10-22
This picture book follows the story of lonely Count Dracula and his attempt to make new friends at a party. The writing is rhythmic and fun to read aloud, and the claymation artwork is spectacular! There are visions to make both the young and the old laugh out loud! I have yet to read it to anyone who hasn't squealed with delight!
very imaginative children's book.......2004-10-05
This is a very appealing book. Extremely well drawn, with charming drawings and very entertaining text. A very good gift for children. Nice for adults too.

He's a man whose roots reach as solidly into the earth as the alfalfa he grows on his family's 150-year-old dairy farm. She's an author and photographer of documentary books, a job that keeps her constantly on the move, a more pleasant extension of her childhood spent shuttling from foster home to foster home. Rik Magnusson and Annie Beckett couldn't have less in common when Annie descends on Rik's Black Hollow Farm in pursuit of a mystery--the disappearance of a young infantry army officer during the little-known Black Hawk War of 1832--that is the subject of her new book. Rik and Annie are not prepared for the heated attraction between them, but shared sunrises and steamy nights go a long way toward healing old hurts (Annie's painful orphan status and Rik's betrayal by his former wife and separation from his beloved daughter). These "chance met strangers" find what they never knew they were looking for in each other, as Annie discovers her home in Rik's warm embrace and Rik captures another chance at love. Michelle Jerott, author of Absolute Trouble, creates a heartwarming love story readers can't put down, even if it means staying up All Night Long. --Alison Trinkle
Book Description
An Unexpected Love
To complete her latest project, Annie Beckett must temporarily move in with gorgeous but forbidding Rik Magnusson-who lets her into his home, but not his life. Although Annie tells herself not to get involved, an unexpected kiss ignites a searing passion between them-and soon she finds herself longing to know his every secret.
When Annie breezed into Rik's life, challenging and teasing, he knows he never wants to let her go. And though she's been chasing excitement all over the country, he's betting he can convince Annie that what she's really been searching for all these years is right here, in his arms-because settling down doesn't mean settling for less, when the reason is love.
Customer Reviews:
Disappointing.......2004-07-09
This was the first Michelle Jerott book I've read, and I have to say I was disappointed (especially since I like her books written as Michele Albert). Unlike some other reviews, I liked the historical sub-plot that drove the story. My problem was with the two main characters and the attraction between them. The chemistry between Rik and Annie didn't develop in any kind of believable way. I felt like I was told there was chemistry without seeing it. I kept asking myself "why are these two people together?" As for the so-called "honesty" between the characters, they went from being argumentative and mean to each other, to deciding they would become lovers. Overall I didn't much like Rik's character and wish romance authors would move away from the idea that a man has to be a jerk to be masculine and sexy.
Childish Characters Misleading Cover.......2003-09-23
Wow. Never judge a book by its cover.... I was expecting a book about two sophisticated socialites, and what do I get? An episode of the Beverly Hillbillies... I really wish I had been able to read the first few pages of this book, but no dice. I purchased it sight unseen. Boy was I disappointed.
First, I just could not abide the dialog. The intro: letters written between the hero/heroine which were supposed to be cute, were just immature and childish. I have trouble imagining two adults would write like that. I just couldn't continue after that. This, book has gone directly into the 'resale' pile without a fight. Disappointing!
Wished I could have given a higher rating..........2003-05-15
...because it was sooo refreshing to see a romance novel about adults who were so unflinchingly honest with each other, and a heroine who was sexually experienced and so open and honest about sex. I wish other authors would learn that you can create tension and confict without resorting to the worn-out, overused "misunderstanding" or "failure to communicate" plot device. The reason I couldn't give this book a higher rating was because the secondary characters should have been written with more depth and, frankly, the sex scenes were disappointing, especially after the terrific, delicious build-up.
Contemporary romance in Wisconsin.......2001-10-29
Since my marriage to a Wisconsinite (aka "Cheesehead), I've learned a great deal about the Dairy State. All Night Long was a wonderful mix - a confirmation of the known and some nice new tidbits. For example, I knew that dairy farmers can somehow work way too hard and still be really sexy. What I didn't know was that Wisconsin had it's own episodes in the wars of the Frontier.
To avoid redundancy, I won't rehash the plot. Suffice it to say that this novel is a most entertaining window into life with cows and could go along way to improving the image of male dairy farmers. I found both characters to be appealing and accessible. The side plot of searching for the truth about the dead soldier was fascinating. About the only flaws in the book are the dreadful cover and the fact that this two have sex more often than I can imagine.
A quick, satisfying read!.......2001-07-15
I bought this book after reading some of the reviews of other readers. The cover really didn't do the book justice. The two people on the cover are nothing like Annie and Rik. They were very down to earth characters. I think Annie would make a good friend. I really liked her sense of humor. If you want to read a good love story with a bit of little-known history thrown in, I highly recommend All Night Long.
