Book Description
Looking for a faster, easier, and fun way to identify plants? Botany in a Day teaches you the patterns method of plant identification, so that you can discover the wonderful world of plants around you, wherever you go.
Instead of trying to identify plants one-at-a-time, Botany in a Day give you a way to learn them by the hundreds, based on the principle that related plants have similar patterns for indentification, and they often have similar uses.
The one-day tutorial included in the text teaches you seven key patterns to recognize more than 45,000 species of plants worldwide. Master these seven patterns and you will be ready to use the included reference guide--Thomas J. Elpel's Herbal Field Guide to Plant Families of North America. Here you will find the patterns for indentification and the patterns of uses for the majority of plants across the continent.
Botany in a Day is used as a guide by thousands of individuals, plus herbal schools and universities across North America.
Customer Reviews:
Excellent Resource!.......2007-10-01
Botany in a Day provides an excellent overview to field botany. By learning plant characteristics by family, the reader can more quickly identify their plant by identifying the patterns each plant family presents. The book provides a page or two (or more!) on dozens of the most common families in the northern half of the US. Each plant family section contains additional information about the plant genera represented in this family. The keys to plant families allow the reader to quickly determine what section to turn to. This book is best coupled with a plant field guide to individual species that is grouped by family. You can use the Botany in a Day information to narrow your selection to the family and the field guide to identify the specific species.
I highly recommend this book to both lay and professional people who work with plants.
botany in several months.......2007-03-16
This book lays out the general approach through which a beginner can make sense of the vast amount of information he or she faces in learning botany. I found it most helpful.
Fantastic.......2006-07-19
Take a really dry subject and turn it into a book I couldn't put down!
Tom Elpel's style is right on target and his book is turning into a constant companion for my outings!
Wonderful book for intuitive understanding of the subject.......2006-04-09
In the opening chapter, this book presents a wonderful simplified story of the evolution of plants, from a single cell to modern complex flowers. Both children and adults can gain a unique, intuitive understanding of this process from this explanation. My compliments to the author. He describes each plant family with interesting anecdotes and high quality line drawings. It's the first plant book whose lack of photographs didn't matter. Great tips for identifying families and individual plants have helped me enormously. Bravo!
Teaches the patterns method of plant identification.......2004-12-09
Any interested in plant identification should consider Botany In A Day: The Patterns Method Of Plant Identification as an important guide. Thomas Elpel (Director of Hollowtop Outdoor Primitive School, Pony, Montana) deftly teaches the patterns method of plant identification, providing a method for learning about groupings of plants based on the idea that related plants have similar patterns for identification, and similar uses. Black and white line drawings accompany descriptions of different plant families and their identification processes.

Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.
Customer Reviews:
Read it carefully with a creative approach.......2007-08-23
The book is excellent: it has all the elements to make you a guru in your own niche - BUT - you must read it carefully and able to think laterally in order to make in in the 60 days.
Use the power of collaboration and delegation and you see that is all feasible in the 60 days allotted.
If you really want to make it this book provides you a blueprint but it's you, the one who must make it a priority in your life and make it happen.
Solid stuff.......2007-05-27
This book is full of good, solid material for anyone looking at expanding their personal "brand", whether they're entrepeneurs, people starting non-profits or just trying to get their message out.
While I can hardly claim to follow the advice on every page, I was pleasantly surprised to find out I've been doing much of this in growing The Cranky Middle Manager podcast [...].. thanks Robert
Awesome Book With a MISLEADING TITLE!.......2007-01-03
I had to dock this book one star because the title is VERY misleading. The worst part about it is that Bly KNOWS you can't become a recognized authority in ANY field in 60 days or less.
He has a step-by-step outline starting from A to Z on how to gain credibility in your field. The unfortunate part is that the outline takes a MINIMUM of 1 year to complete. You can't even complete the first "phase" of the plan within 60 days because it encompasses writing magazine articles which take SEVERAL MONTHS to come out in a magazine.
Furthermore, the basis of MASSIVE credibility is publishing a book. Once you sit down and write it, even if you complete it in 60 days, you still have to wait for it to be published which can take up to 2 years!
I disagree with Bly when he recommends conventional publishing while being AGAINST self-publishing. There are MANY very good vanity publishing houses that can turn out a very professional book and can do it within WEEKS versus waiting YEARS for a regular publisher to release your book.
It would seem that Bly would have embraced self-publishing which would have actually lent his (b.s.) book title more believability. I can write a book within about 30 days and have it self-published within 6 weeks. Not exactly 60 days but DAMN CLOSE!
Even Joe Vitale disagrees with Bly about the self-publishing avenue. As you know, Joe Vitale started a HUGE CAREER self-publishing his first books. Then major publishers showed interest and decided to publish Joe in the conventional way.
Bly claims that the general public won't purchase a self-published book but would prefer books by major publishing houses. NONSENSE! Most people don't have a clue what the difference is between a major publisher and a vanity press.
I gave this book four stars because, if you can IGNORE the whole "60 day" thing, this is a VERY GOOD BOOK and I don't believe there is another one like it that covers this subject thoroughly.
I recommend this book. Just pretend that Bly "meant" 6 months instead of 60 days (and that's if you SELF PUBLISH) or 2 years if you choose a conventional publisher.
Don't let the title throw you...........2006-03-10
At first glance the title would lead you to believe that this book will come across more like a cheesy infomercial than a thoughtful down to earth how-to book.
It is, in fact written in a very straight forward manner that is very useful for those of us in a position of needing to assert the perception of authority in a short period of time.
I was very pleasantly surprised at how "real" this book comes across, with very simple long and short-term goals to follow.
Winning advice.......2005-09-08
Very solid advice for professionals, consultants and service business owners. As a marketing consultant and teacher, I recommend the book to any professional who is serious about creating multiple streams of income from an information empire. And Bly is someone who preaches what he practices.

I loved Miss Nelson Has a Field Day!!.......2002-05-08
I am eleven years old, and I love Miss Nelson Has a Field Day because it was funny and interesting. I liked it when Miss Viola Swamp called one boy, "Smarty". It made me laugh!! I think other kids should read this because it is a really good book. I think it is even better than the first two Miss Nelson books. All kids would love this book!!

Miss Swamp reappears at the Horace B. Smedley School
The Horace B. Smedley School's football team is awful-and their big game with their major rival is on tap. Can anything be done to get the guys into shape in time for the game? Miss Nelson has a plan and, out of the blue, Miss Swamp is on the scene. But where is Miss Nelson??????
This is a truly delightful series that the whole family can enjoy. Good stories, great characters and the indomitable Miss Nelson all add up to great fun and great reading for kids.
Miss Nelson rides again.......2001-05-24
My daughter loved this book. She was not an avid reader a couple summers ago but this one was a favorite. She likes all the Miss Nelson books but she was able to write a summary on this one and have all the information correct so she was paying attention. If it is on your summer reading list for school, go for it, it's worth it.
Book Description
A step-by-step guidebook to the Jewish Sabbath, with blessings and songs, rituals and reflections, stories and lots of art. Full color; designed to work both for beginners and for already-knwledgeable Jews who want to deepen their understanding of Shabbat practices.
Customer Reviews:
Thoughtful, Inclusive and Transforming.......2004-11-01
The book is simply the best and most practical guide to understanding the essence of Shabbat in the home. Its intelligent and non-dogmatic approach provides a framework for observance in the home for the beginner to the most experienced. It includes eloquent and enriching passages from leading Jewish thinkers that include among others, Rashi, Maimonides, Kaplan, Heschel, Wolpe and Teluskin. It's a strikingly beautiful and user-friendly book for our times. While taking the reader step-by-step through traditional ritual and custom, its authors also describe such mundane considerations from how to deal with last minute preparations before guests arrive to what to do when your child inadvertently spills the Kiddush cup. The book is a must purchase for those in search of making their Shabbat a more complete and meaningful experience.

Junie B. Jones's kindergarten teacher has some strange ideas about field day: "Field Day is a day to run around in the fresh air and enjoy the sunshine. We came out here to have fun and get some exercise. And we're not going to care one little bit about who wins or who loses." Only what's so fun about losing? That's what Junie B. wants to know. In the great contest between room 8 and room 9, somehow, room 8 keeps winning all the events. As Captain Field Day of room 9, Junie B. is feeling her superpowers--and her good sportsmanship--slipping away. Can anyone save the day?
For beginning chapter-book readers, Junie B. Jones always saves the day. As in Junie B. Jones Has a Peep in Her Pocket, Junie B. Jones and Some Sneaky Peeky Spying, and the many other titles in Barbara Park's series, Junie B.'s inimitable style wins her friends and fans everywhere. Denise Brunkus's comical, expressive drawings capture all the joys and foibles of kindergarten life. With occasional "big" words (like slumped, sarcastic, and apparently) and Junie B.'s grammatical curiosities, this witty book works best as a classroom read-aloud. (Ages 5 to 8) --Emilie Coulter
Book Description
Afternoon kindergarten is having a field day, and Junie B. Jones is team captain! Only, here's the problem. Room Eight keeps on winning too many events. And so how will Room Nine ever become the kindergarten champions? As Captain Field Day, will Junie B. find a way to lead her team to victory? Or will it be up to someone else to save the day?

My daughter and I LOVE ALL the Junie B. books. They are hilariously funny. The outrageous actions of the characters including Junnie B. are a great form of reverse psychology on how NOT to act! Junie B. is adorable.

I love Junie B.Jones! She was on the play ground for Field Day and she saw thather boyfriend was chasing the new girl. She did not like that. She told him to stop but he didn't listen. Well I would give the book 5 stars because it is funny! I have to go now. Bye

Brandon thinks it's a good book.......2005-04-21
This book is about a little girl named Junie B. Jones. She got picked for captain of field day. But she thought being captain is to be a superhero. There was a boy named William, he was a weak little boy. But at the end, he surprised everyone.
I think the author is trying to tell that winning isn't everything. If you don't win don't be mad. You shouldn't blame it on anyone else either. If you blame it on someone you can get in trouble like the kids in this book. So I think the author is trying to tell that.
Junie B. Jones is a good book, you just have to read it. If you read it you'll see that the surprise was William was a hero when he did twelve pull ups, and people thought that was amazing. My opinion was that if the author would put more pages of story in it so it would be more funny. If it had more it would be perfect. It's a good book, trust me.

Running with the whole body by Jack Heggie.......2007-05-07
This is an older running book. I bought it together the brilliant 'chi running' which is much more recent. I thought it was dated at first, but I gave it a chance and it was worth the time. It did help my technique, as I was training for a first marathon. I valued the contribution, but don't make this your only training manual.
Sports Medicine PH D told me I wouldn't be able to run again.......2003-10-03
A sports medicine PH D told me I wouldn't be able to run again ...but I proved him wrong!! Due to bad calcium deposits, the doctor told me that the pain would grow and grow until I wouldn't be able to run again.
I think you are supposed to go through the exercises twice but I did them only once, 20 min a day for 20-24 days.
I am no athlete but since then, I ran a Full Marathon, several Half-marathons and plenty of ten millers. That was 3 years ago, I still run between 20 - 40 miles a week. I run pain free, worst case I get a slight discomfort that I can't tell if it is from regular training for the past ailment anymore.
This book is about how to move efficiently. Maybe, I just changed the way of moving that caused the problem.
I Improved Significantly After the First Chapter.......2000-11-22
The book applies the Feldenkrais method to running in a very logical way. It begins with the big picture, and then focuses on the details. The exercises in this book are well thought out, and WILL make a difference in your running. I noticed a significant improvement after only the first chapter, and I just kept improving with each subsequent chapter. You begin by studying the relationship between the upper and lower body while walking. The shoulders should move in a direction opposite the hips. Most people, myself included, do not do this properly and it affects breathing and everything else involved in running. I spent an evening working on this, and immediately noticed a huge improvement in my running. Breathing suddenly became easier, and my stride became less jarring. Through each chapter, the improvements continued. This book is a must for every runner. It will make all the difference.
Finally free your body.......1999-12-16
This book takes you through a thorough series of Feldenkrais exercises to open up your movement in your running. He not only shows and tells you how to find a healthy, easy running style, he gets you to feel it. Using the exercises in this book I eliminated knee pain I've had for years and finally got rid of the pain from an upper back injury no specialist seemed able to fix. I have to say thanks to Jack Heggie for writing this book.

Now you can cut years off the process of learning about plants. Learn how related plants have similar features for identification. Discover how they often have similar properties and similar uses. Toms book takes you beyond the details towards a greater understanding of the patterns among plants. Most plant books cover only one or two hundred species. Botany in a Day includes more than 100 plant families and over 700 generaincluding edible and medicinal usesapplicable to many thousands of species.
With this book you will be able to recognize patterns in plants everywhere you goin the wild, in your garden, among house plants, even at the florist. Understand the magic of patterns among plants, and the world will never look the same again!
Many people recognize plants from the Mint family because they have square stalks, opposite leaves and most of them smell minty. I like to start my classes with a discussion of the the Mints because this pattern is so well known. What people dont realize is that similar patterns exist for other families of plants as well. Simply put, the study of botany is the study of patterns in plants!
Learning patterns in plants is fun, and you only need to learn about 100 broad patterns to recognize something about virtually every plant from coast to coast across the northern latitdudes.
In a two hour plant walk we typically start with the Mint Family, then progress through the Mustard, Pea, Parsley, Borage, Lily and Aster Families, so that every student can easily recognize these common families representing several thousand species. Ive had people tell me they learned more in that two hour walk than in an entire semester of botany in college. Thomas J. Elpel, Botany in a Day AUTHORBIO: Thomas J. Elpel had the rare opportunity as a child to spend hundreds of hours with his grandmother, exploring the hills and meadows of Montana. Toms grandmother helped him to learn about the native plants and their uses, igniting a passion for nature that has inspired Tom ever since.
Tom is now the director of Hollowtop Outdoor Primitive School (HOPS) in Pony, Montana where he teaches classes on stone age skills, including botany. Botany in a Day grew from Toms desire to provide an easy means for other people to discover a closer connection with the natural world. Tom is also the author of three other books inspired by nature, including: Participating in Nature, Direct Pointing to Real Wealth and Living Homes.

Tremendous help to this novice.......2001-12-30
When I started a new hobby of photographing wildflowers, I had no clue on the importance of learning plant families in order to identify them. If I couldn't tell from the picture in a field guide, I was up a creek. "Botany in a Day" was the first book I found that organized the families in a simple, clear way that I could understand and this system has become my main guide for grouping and identification. The herbal information is interesting, but not relevant to my project. I'm very grateful for the help I've received from this book
Good intention, disappointing result.......2001-11-25
This book could have been a gem for people interested in botany and healing plants, but it does not manage to fill this void. The text is not read by a professional botanist (I assume) and incorrect or dubious facts are common. Furthermore, the text is filled with typos and misspellings that could easily have been caught in a simple spell-checking program. The figures are from older literature and are not well reproduced. The aim with this book, to explain botany in a day, is highly recommendable, but I cannot recommend this book in its present shape and quality-level. A completely corrected, re-formatted, and revised edition of this book is needed. For people interested in the plant families of North America I instead recommend the high-quality work of Zomlefer: Guide to Flowering Plant Families.
A comprehensive guide to plant families.......2001-11-03
Though definitely *not* a field guide. This book is intended to be an introduction to plant families, and it does a good job at that. All the vascular plant families present in North America are briefly described and identification tips noted. Very few actual species are thoroughly described, though the "medicinal" properties of many species, mostly collected from other sources, are recounted here. This book would be better titled "Herbalism in a Day" as it's long on lists of medicinal uses and short on detailed botanical information. I'm pleased I purchased it, but it would be a inadequate substitute for an actual field guide or flora.
Covers over 100 plant families and over 700 genera.......2001-10-14
Most plant books cover a few hundred species: Botany In A Day covers over 100 plant families and over 700 genera, from edible plants to medicinal plants, providing a focus on herbal plant families which users will find easy and important. No color photos; black and white line drawings serve as the illustration for descriptions which are detailed, from the plant's appearance to the author's experiences using the plant in applications. Botany In A Day is simply packed with information and an invaluable reference for aspiring gardeners and neophyte horticulturalists.
Let the cover be your judge!.......2001-09-27
Contrary to the old axiom, this book actually delivers what it promises on the cover. By spending just one day with this book you'll get a fairly comprehensive understanding of the evolution of plants, their general classifications, and unique properties. The author writes in a very straightforward, concise, easy-to-read style that lets you absorb the information quickly and easily without being burdened with excessive detail. I also thoroughly enjoyed his Gestalt approach to Botany. I purchased this book as a supplement to my college course in Field Botany and discovered a wonderful resource.
Book Description
It's field day for the kids in Mr. Wright's class and the nouns and verbs want to have some fun too. They pair up with their best friends for tug-of-words and the three-legged race. The nouns naturally pair with other nouns and verbs pair with other verbs. After all, would Throw and Catch or Cookie and Milk ever want to be separated?" But wait, they are not getting anywhere! Nouns and verbs realize that they have to work together to get anything done. Young readers will be having so much fun that they won't even realize that they are learning all about the two most basic parts of speech.

Very useful book for the interview of phamaceutical company.......2007-08-24
This book about interview of phamaceutical company is very useful for me.
Thank you for your fast delivery.
Basic interview text.......2007-04-06
Didn't get the job, but the book did help me a little during the multiple interviews. The better option is to call a rep and have a sit-down to go over the ins and outs. If you can't find one, go to your local pharmacy, they'll have contact info for you. Good luck!
3 Days Review.......2007-01-16
Great book! Very different info than other pharmaceutical books. This book is very straight forward and easy to follow. I recommend it for anyone trying to break into the pharmaceutical business.
I guess OK.......2006-08-11
The book I would say is good if you are willing go insanely above and beyond the normal realms of getting a job...most of the info. is pretty easy to figure out on your own, but if structure is needed this can be a good guideline. Over all it did not do much for me, but it might work wonders for others.
Deficient in important information.......2006-06-14
On the positive side, the book is neat and is written with humor. Unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives. When reading this book, I found that most of the information covers resume writing and how to make contact with pharmaceutical sales reps. I think some of her advice about making contact could prevent you from ever getting a job in pharmaceutical sales because it is so unprofessional. The "how to actually get the job part," the interview, was seriously deficient in information. There were few questions and few answers, and next to nothing about how to prepare for the interview. This one simply does not deliver on the description of the book given.
