Dragon Of The Red Dawn.......2007-10-09
I liked this book because it s'
like I'm in the book.Also
it captures my attention. This book is about Jack and Annie going to
Japan and to doing something.
Magic Tree House 37 Merlin Misson Dragon of the Red Dawn.......2007-10-09
I like this book because it has great words and the author it good at writing. This book was about them go to Tokyo . I give this book 5 stars.
great book!.......2007-09-01
This book I loved when I was reading the pages, and how it gives you a little passport in the back of the book like it was actually a real passport. The books description of the garden when they first get out of the tree house in Japan just gives me a picture of what it looks like in real life. This book had a bit of humor and that adds coolness to the book. Buy this book!!!!!!!! I'm 11.
Mary Pope Osborne: Never A Disappointment........2007-07-23
Osborne forever captures history, folklore and imagination into the minds of many young and old alike. Her books are ever a delight to read to my son (even though he's able to read by himself) and more, a delight to hear when they come out on audiocassette!
I recommend this book.......2007-06-10
I liked it because Jack and Annie travel to Japan which is a really cool place and I think more people should read this book. It is better than any other book because it is the newest of the series.

Book Description
Bennett-Alexander and Hartman’s, Employment Law for Business, 4/e, addresses law and employment decisions from a managerial perspective. It is intended to instruct students on how to manage effectively and efficiently with full comprehension of the legal ramifications of their decisions. Students are shown how to think and analyze employment law facts using concrete examples of management-related legal dilemmas without clear-cut solutions. The methods of arriving at resolutions are emphasized, so that when the facts of the workplace problem are not quite the same, the student can still reach a good decision based on the legal considerations required by law, which remain relevant.
Customer Reviews:
ok, not great.......2007-08-05
I liked this law book because it has shorter versons of cases for quick lookup. What I hate about this book is that it doesn't list laws like ADA, Title VII, etc. in their entirety. It speaks about parts of them, but doesn't list them for you to read yourself.
One-sided approach to regulation.......2004-08-04
I would have preferred a text that merely reported employers' compliance obligations in an objective manner, rather than portraying employers as the enemy. I generally found the text to be highly politicized and, to some extent, anti-management. This book does little to bridge the gap between the business community and academia.
Employment Law for business.......2004-01-07
As an attorney, manager, and teacher of human resources professionals, I recommend this book. I found that thie information was thoroughly researched. I also appreciated that the legal information was presented in a business context so that managers who are not lawyers could understand the information and readily appy it to real life workplace problems.
Useful Book........2003-06-22
This is an interesting, informative and useful book. I used it for school and it will be one book that I keep. Great case studies.
Employment Law.......2003-02-17
I think the book is so liberal and it advocate large government. Freedom is not through following the forced laws like affirmative action, ADA, etc. but having a choice especially in employment. Employer should have the say on what they want and who they want to work and not work. The book pretty much tells you that this is the law and its good for you ,so follow or else.
That is socialistic.
We are giving more power to the government to tie us down with more laws and regulation. Their responsibility is to protect the citizens and not to do business. That's for the private sector.

I was accidently sent another book in my mailing package. I sent that one back with a note that it was the wrong product. i have not yet received the Magic Tree House book set.
My daughter loves these books.......2007-08-09
My daugther just could not put down these books after she had received them. She finished 12 books in less than a week! I am going to get the rest of this series for her soon.
Great for 1st-3rd Graders.......2007-07-28
While the writing isn't great, the stories are certainly entertaining, and are great reading for 1st-3rd Graders. The stories follow two siblings, Jack and Annie, who are magically transported to various places, and the various settings set the stage for some very fascinating, to the young reader, tales they will come to treasure.
my son loves these books!.......2007-07-07
I've been reading to my son since he was two weeks old. He just had his fourth birthday, and I gave him this Magic Tree House box set. I thought he'd get bored pretty quick since there aren't illustrations on every page, but I was wrong. We read the first book in an afternoon, and he wanted to move straight on to the next one. We've since finished the first four and I've ordered the next box set, and while we wait we're re-reading the first four. Fantastic books!
Good starter book series.......2007-05-12
Good books to help me and my grandchildren communicate. We started a book discussion club. Great quality time.

A Wonderful Tool for the Kitchen.......2007-10-10
I love this cookbook. My family was on vacation and a woman we were traveling with had been working her way through the book. She recommended it so I thought I'd give it a try. I have so many cookbooks at home that look great in the store but once you try to cook or bake with them, they really aren't that good. This is not a book that will be moved to storage any time soon. I liked it so much, I've been buying copies for everyone I know that uses a crockpot. I also like the fact that I can omit items from a recipe if I don't eat them - you can't do that with baking. The index is very well organized so if you know either the main ingredient you'd like to use or the name of the dish, you can find what you're looking for.
Fix-It and Forget-It.......2007-09-10
This is a great cookbook. Easy to follow recipes and some very great tasting ones! I recommend this book highly.
Excellent book for moms!.......2007-08-11
I use the recipes in this book all the time! There are so many options and so many varieties on the same recipe. Great buy!
Fix it and Forget it? I say , "Just Forget it!".......2007-08-05
I just recently purchased "Fix-it and Forget-it Cookbook, Feasting with your Slow Cooker." It is a National #1 New York Times bestseller, so I thought I would have a great book to read while traveling and to cook from at home.
I like cookbooks with pictures; this book has no pictures. I like cookbooks with comments, stories, or history of the recipes; this book has no comments, stories, or history on any of the recipes. I like cookbooks with new and innovative dishes; this book has nothing new or innovative.
If you like cookbooks with a laundry-list of recipes, many just slightly changed from the one next to it, then this book may be for you. If you like community cookbooks, where the recipes are only tested by the contributor, a person you most likely don't know personally, and therefore don't know anything about that person's cooking skills or personal taste, then this book may be for you.
I ask you, what are you going to do with seven similar but slightly different recipes for pea soup? How about 20+ recipes for beef stew? Or an equal amount of recipes for Swiss steak?
This cookbook has over 800 recipes, but they are nothing special; just recipes that are available in every community cookbook or on-line recipe web site. I couldn't actually find one main dish recipe that I would want to serve company, nor was there anything new that "blew me away." Actually, I have never seen a larger collection of b-o-r-i-n-g food anywhere else in my life!
On the upside, there is a small chapter on vegetables (which includes rice dishes (I thought rice was a grain, not a vegetable!) and some stuffing recipes (also not a vegetable). While the recipes in this section are nothing innovative or new, there are some helpful ones, like Caramelized Onions, which I have made; the slow cooker makes them easy so they can be used in other recipes. There are several other good recipes that I have tried, like one for acorn squash and a couple of good cabbage recipes. I found it interesting that there was a recipe for "Extra Good Mashed Potatoes," which had been contributed by five different ladies. The instructions tell you how to cook them, but forget to tell you to mash them before serving!
All said, this is a book of very pedestrian recipes that have been poorly edited. If you are into "meat and potatoes" or like to cook food with no imagination, you may want to pick up this book. Since so many copies have already been sold, chances are you were fooled by the cute cover as I was and already own a copy. If you own it, all is not lost--you can prepare seven similar, but just slightly different kinds of pea soup this week!
Love this!.......2007-07-06
I love my crockpot and this book is part of the reason why. I could throw all the ingredients in, leave for work or school, and come home to a wonderful smelling house and dinner was done! Our favorite recipes from here were Taco Soup and Chicken Tortilla Soup. Very good, especially on a cold winter day.

Customer Reviews:
Fantastically Healthy Recipes..........2007-06-27
Great cookbook...wonderful for those who are looking for ways to cook Mediterranean or for the experts who want to add this book to their collection. I love it !!!! :)
Work up front.......2007-05-12
I haven't tried any of the recipes yet because most of them require the prior preparation of a stock or sauce (recipes are also provided for these)in order to prepare the main recipe. The recipes sound good and flavorful, but I need to make the time to prepare the sauces/stocks and put them in the freezer so I can make these recipes on a moments notice. So if you're looking for a cookbook that you can just pick up and instantly make the recipe, this is not the one for you.
My Least Favorite Cookbook.......2007-02-06
Nothing to talk about. Just a very plain average cookbook with little or no originality. Very disappointing
The Everything Mediterranean Cookbook.......2006-02-17
This book (in general)contains a basically half dozen base recipies, such as stock, to which various ingredients are added.
Not authentic, but good.......2006-01-11
I like mediterranean food but this cookbook seems tailored for Americans. It's not authentic. But don't let me spoil your appetite.

Amazing story!.......2007-10-07
An amazing story that brings you back to the foundation of your faith, as they did for me. I laughed, cried, and rejoiced with the characters as they went through their trials and tribulations. Kudos to Francine Rivers for bringing a remarkable story for generations to come!
an insight into 1st century Christians.......2007-08-27
This series was so great. Not only does it keep your attention in an entertaining way but it makes you think more about what it was like for 1st century Christians.
Great christian fiction........2007-08-24
Didn't get a lot done while reading this book, couldn't put it down. The story draws you in and you also learn alot about this time, the Roman Empire and the plight of their conquered peoples. Can be a little gruesome in parts. Highly recommend.
for reading and re-reading - books that keep on giving.......2007-08-09
Francine Rivers' "Mark of the Lion" series provides believable plots; well-crafted, fully-human characters; satisfying love stories; and practical instruction in Christian living. These books are fun to read, but they go beyond that to provide a deep satisfaction that you can't get from mere entertainment. Also delightful are her polished writing and her attention to historical details. Her careful craftsmanship delights the heart AND the mind. History buffs, romance readers, and students of practical Christian living should all enjoy these books.
Excellent novels.......2007-08-09
These books have really spoken to me. Ms. Rivers has done her homework when it comes to historical accuracy, even printing a glossary of terms in the back of the book. The story lines and characters are outstanding, and beautifully illustrate the story of God's love for us.

Customer Reviews:
Wonderful tool for ages 5 and up!.......2007-09-19
I have to say that all 3 of my children have been helped by us navigating this book together. I homeschool them and each has had 'worries' about one thing or another that they have been ruminating over. We just started a garden this year (growing tomatoes) so this book was PERFECT for us because the author uses the analogy of a tomato plant that you water and care for every day producing a HUGE bumper crop of tomatoes.. and the worries that you give much time and thought to every day 'taking over' your time and thoughts. It was especially helpful when we got to the chapter about setting aside 'worry time' for each child each day and working through their worries using logic. All 3 of my children (ages 5, 8 1/2 and 10) have reduced their worry time / anxiety since we began our 'group study' of this book. We are still working through it.. and it is GREAT!
A Great Resource.......2007-09-08
As a therapist I am always looking for new resources. This is one of the best for treating anxiety. I had one child this week say "did you type this just for me?" because it resonated so well.
Check out Ms. Huebner's other books on OCD and Depression--they are great too!
A must-have resource!.......2007-08-13
I highly recommend this book for social workers/therapists and other professionals who work with children. It is definitely kid-friendly; my clients have been open to using this book because it feels more like a fun activity rather than "therapy".
very helpful book.......2007-07-14
This book is an excellent resource for the professional or parent of a child with anxiety difficulties. It explains the various ways that a child can less the effects of anxiety in child appropriate language with places for the child to customize his or her feelings and thoughts. Very well done.
Kids can relate to the ideas in the book........2007-07-10
When your child's anxiety overtakes and consumes their joy, you'd buy 200 books if they'd help your child to feel better. Don't buy 200 books... BUY THIS ONE for your child.
My daughter is 9, but reads at 8th grade level, so I was a bit apprehensive about getting this book for her; fearing she'd think it was too baby-ish. Much to my surprise and delight, she loves the book! She says "I love the pictures. It's kind of funny and I like that it has activities to do. The book has good ideas about how to fix my worries."
The book does have great kid-friendly concepts like: Worry Time and Worry Bully, with places to draw and write down thoughts. It not only addresses how worries can take over, but empowers kids to fight back and reassures them that when they do, the worries will get smaller and smaller, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...LOSE THEIR POWER OVER YOUR CHILD.
The book talks about the positives of getting rid of worries, like giving kids more time to play with their friends instead of worrying. Simple concepts perhaps, but written in a way that kids relate. The concepts are ones that both kids and parents can easily remember and refer to, which also helps when the Worry Bully shows up unexpectedly.
Other books that have helped my daughter:
Worried No More Worried No More - Second Edition: Help and Hope for Anxious Children by Aureen Wagner, PHD (this is an excellent resource for Cognitive-Behavioral therapy support; workbook pages in the back...) and the meditations books for children by Maureen Garth: StarbrightStarbright--Meditations for Children, Moonbeam Moonbeam: A Book of Meditations for Children, and Earthlight Earthlight (read together before bedtime to help your child visualize a safe, quiet place before they fall asleep...).

Good Reference and Resource.......2007-08-08
The Essentials of WISC-IV Assessment book is an excellent resource for school psychologists and students. It is a must-have for your library. I recommend this book to everyone!
Straightforward and easy to use, but lacked on the interpretation details.......2007-05-17
I'm a fan of these sorts of texts having found the Essentials of the WAIS-III a great resource I keep returning too. I imagine it will be the same with this text as I found it really easy to use and easy to read. Perhaps my only complaint is that there is little discussion about interpretation. Otherwise a great resource in scoring up your WISC-IV.
Review .......2007-02-08
This is a very handy book to understand, interpret, and write Reports. It is written in an easy to understand language.
Outstanding contribution; must for Wechsler users.......2005-01-07
This is a terrific book -- it provides a lot of information on how to administer and score the WISC-IV. It has the same innovative approaches Kaufman has used in previous books on earlier Wechsler tests -- new ideas on interpretation and scoring that make sense. With the added viewpoint provided by Flanagan, a specialist in the cross-battery assessment, this book is a merging of two interesting approaches; unique project by two top psychologists in their prime.

The Complete Book Of Running For Women
ASIN: 1580052053 |
Book Description
Dawn Dais hated running. And it didn't like her much, either. Her fitness routine consisted of avoiding the stairs in her own house, because who really has the energy to climb stairs? It was with this exercise philosophy firmly in place that she set off to complete a marathon.
The Nonrunner’s Marathon Guide for Women is a fun training manual for women who don't believe that running is their biological destiny but who dream of crossing the finish line nonetheless. It opens with a realistic training schedule and is chock-full of how-to's, quizzes, and funny observations, which Dais felt were lacking in the guides she had consulted.
The Nonrunner’s Marathon Guide for Women also integrates entries from Dias' journal, sharing everything would-be marathoners need to know about the gear, the blisters, the early morning workouts, the late-night carb binges, and — most important of all — the amazing rewards.
Anyone can do a marathon. This book just makes the experience a little more bearable and a lot more fun.

Buy this book!.......2007-09-16
If you've ever thought about running, but didn't think you could do it--this is the book for you! Dawn's sense of humor punctuated with the truth motivates you to get off your butt.
Hysterical Motivational!.......2007-08-19
Motivational and hysterical. Dawn Dais does an excellent job of cronicaling a first time runner's adventure with the marathon. If you need extra motivation and a good chuckle, this is a great resource to help pry you out of your recliner and keep you working towards race day.
Tthe nonrunners marathon guide for women.......2007-08-18
Love the book. i run for enjoyment and exercise. now iam going to try to trian for a marathon. right now iam up to 5 6 miles and i keep trying to do more.
i can't stop laughing... and then i run!.......2007-08-01
I'm the epitome of a "Non-runner." That's why this book grabbed my eye.
But seriously, I couldn't stop laughing when I read this book. Dais' sarcastic, dry sense of humor has motivated me to run the half-marathon. I think I've gotten a jump-start on my ab muscles from all the laughter!
This book is a great reference guide for all of your running questions - and with a little chuckle! You gotta love it - especially since you've decided to do something as crazy as running a marathon!
Buy it!
Very good book, my wife loved it!.......2007-07-22
I bought this book as a gift for my wife who's starting now to train for her 1st marathon and she literally read it in one weekend! It is ironic, but also full of interesting comments for beginners.

Book Description
Bennett-Alexander and Hartman’s Employment Law for Business, 5/e addresses law and employment decisions from a managerial perspective. It is intended to instruct students on how to manage effectively and efficiently with full comprehension of the legal ramifications of their decisions. Students are shown how to analyze employment law facts using concrete examples of management-related legal dilemmas that do not present clear-cut solutions. The methods of arriving at resolutions are emphasized, so that when the facts of the workplace problem are not quite the same, the student can still reach a good decision based on the legal considerations required by law, which remain relevant.
