Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Virginia's chief medical examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta is getting ready for a romantic holiday with her retired-FBI-profiler boyfriend, Benton Wesley, when she receives a cryptic and foreboding letter: "Hey DOC, Tick Tock, Sawed bone and fire," it begins. Even more creepy, the taunting note has been signed by Carrie Grethen, the psychotic killer Kay helped send to a psychiatric facility for going on a murder spree with Temple Gault in Cornwell's earlier book Body Farm. Benton believes that Grethen--who also happens to be the former lover of Scarpetta's niece Lucy--has big plans for a comeback. And before Kay and Benton can leave for their trip and discuss it further, Scarpetta is called upon to don yet another professional hat, that of a "consulting forensic pathologist" for the federal government. Someone has burned a highfalutin horse ranch and all of its contents, including a human being, to the ground. Worse, Grethen has escaped and is on the loose and closer to Kay and her beloved than she knows. Point of Origin, the ninth Scarpetta thriller, is classic Cornwell: rich with detail and strong dialogue, and doused with harrowing twists.
Amazon.com Audio Book Review
When your everyday life is filled with death it's easy to find yourself a little edgy. The audio version of Patricia Cornwell's Point of Origin gives fans of her familiar heroine, Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a little something extra, a chance to hear the deep hurt and burning cynicism of the chief medical examiner's biting words. "You don't put your hands inside their ruined bodies and touch and measure their wounds.... You see clean case files and glossy photos and cold crime scenes. You spend more time with the killers than with those they ripped from life. And maybe you sleep better than I do, too. Maybe you still dream because you aren't afraid to."
Perhaps because Kate Reading has also narrated Cornwell's Unnatural Exposure and Cause of Death, her voice conveys experience and the history of what has come before, allowing listeners to hear between the lines. Using a subtle but effective range of vocal inflections, Reading lifts the characters off the page and carries them along as the plot spins ever faster, tangling Scarpetta in a snarl of arson, deceit, and psychopathic murder. With her arch nemesis making threats and suspicious fires leaving calcified corpses, Dr. Scarpetta's long-overdue romantic getaway has gone up in smoke. It's just one more day at the morgue, and Point of Origin, another hit in the popular series of Scarpetta mysteries, finds the good doctor's attitude honed razor sharp. (Running time: 11 hours, eight cassettes) --George Laney

Stunning!.......2006-07-24
Wow! I read this in 4 days! This starts with a casual feeling of vacation and ends in tradegy for Dr Kay. The web she is weaved into while unraveling this story is amazing and she is Cornwell portrays her as a strong woman, ready to seek revenge.
Cornwell's description of the scene's made me feel as if I was watching them work the case.
It's only been 8 hours and I am starting the next novel!
A Great Book.......2006-05-22
Although I wouldn't go as far as to say that this is the best I've read in the Scarpetta series, it is just as good as the others.
I wouldn't recommend it to those who have not read the other books though - because it refers to cases in which torsos are found (from the book before this one) & a character introduced much earlier, Carrie Grethen, plays a much bigger part in this.
There is a lot of character development in this one - especially at the begining of the book. As usual, a lot of it is about Lucy. Benton also plays a huge part.
I wont go over the plot much - because really, a lot happens. But in the end they do find thier killer, along with Carrie, who escapes from the assylum earlier on. The modus operandi is especially terrible in this case, making it all the more intriging. It isn't really spelled out in the end exactly what happened when the victims were killed - because everybody's too busy chasing the killer. But what they find in his house is what makes it all clear - although by now it's a little late. He & Carrie knew they would find it.
What's really sad in this one is the death of Benton. You feel like you knew him, & the funeral is so deppressing! But if you read the next book you'll get a surprise..
Relentless...I couldn't put it down!.......2006-04-24
Patricia Cornwell had always sent me running to the bookstore to get another of her books, this one is no exception. It begins when a house burns to the ground, and they find a body in there. All evidence points to the fact that the girl was murdered before the fire burned. As Scarpetta searches for the answer, word comes that Carrie Grethen, her old enemy that threatened her niece and all those around her, escapes from a prison for the criminally insane and has now joined the threat. Now Scarpetta must work fast, before someone important to her is lost...
Patricia has done a great job with this book. She never seems to run out of ideas, and I recommend it to anyone who loves to read horror. If you have a queasy stomach, find another book. If you don't, pick up this book and knock yourself out, like I did.
Classic Cornwell.......2005-08-23
I really enjoyed this book. Plenty of ferenics and sharp dialogue. I highly reccomend it.
The series is starting to wobble on its legs a bit .......2005-05-18
In `Point of Origin' Patricia Cornwell is following the lead of James Patterson's protagonist Alex Cross. Once again we are confronted with the essence of evil in the guise of a manipulative serial killer that works her way from one book to the next. By comparing the Scarpetta series with the Cross you would be right to leap to the conclusion that I am laying a major insult on Cornwell. Patterson has proven himself to be the most craven and laziest author at work today, concerned only with making a quick buck on the hapless reader. But where Patterson has utterly destroyed the credibility of a once interesting character in Cross, Cornwell has fashioned a more thoughtful approach to the same problem. This book works well, but only just barely.
As much as I am enjoying reading the Scarpetta series, it is becoming frayed at the seams a bit. I am hoping that Cornwell will leave behind this character who has seemingly been explored to about her furthest point. Scarpetta cant battle a new serial killer every book and confront that person in such a personal one on one struggle every time with out getting a little tiring. After all, most of the growth Scarpetta attained was in the first few books of this series, and now it feels like she is becoming a stereotype of herself. I think that Cornwell is such a gifted author that she could, if she wished, write a novel on par with Jim Harrison's better books, or `Mystic River' or `Motherless Brooklyn.'
Product Description
In the Deep South appearances are not a luxury but a necessity. No family finds that more true than the Foxworths of Larkspur, a quaint but greedy Mississippi town. In that community or anywhere else for that matter, the life of handsome young Sher Foxworth would seem an enviable American dream: high school star quarterback and valedictorian; successful plastic surgeon for a father; beautiful, supportive mother; rich grandparents. But then a single death at the hands of his father rips the town apart, throwing the life of Sher Foxworth and his family into a downward spiral, a corkscrew that entangles more devastation and turmoil as Sher himself lands in jail. It is that tangle with a female police officer which derails his own life from that of town hero into a journey he never intended --- far from his plans for medical school. While in Point of Origin readers will sample the return of endearing and despicable characters made popular in North's 2005 debut novel, House Call, they will become immersed in the tumultuous lives of a different set of players: the colorful inhabitants of Larkspur --- a new mix of personalities and egos that wraps the lover of fiction into the livid world of southern intrigue.

Characters leap from the pages.......2007-04-26
Reviewed by Susan Pettrone for Reader Views (3/07)
Sher Foxworth has it all, he's a star football player, popular kid, the son of a wealthy, successful plastic surgeon and a young man who, as they say, "has the world on a string with a down pull"...then his life changes in a heartbeat. His father is accused of medical malpractice in the unfortunate death of a young woman Flowers Ridley, whose mother, Charity, has high hopes of her as a pageant queen. Spurred on by a lawyer with dollar signs in his eyes and a greedy sister, Faith, Charity is relentless in her search for justice. The fact that Charity is honestly grieving for her lost daughter is lost on her relentless sister who sees no closure for Charity but unending funds to support her daughter's hopes of future pageant crowns.
The malpractice case ends badly, and Dr. Foxworth is forced to sell his practice and liquidate his assets to settle the lawsuit. He loses virtually everything including his dignity as deep depression sets into his life. Trying desperately to put his life back together Dr. Foxworth and his wife plan a getaway to New Orleans hoping that the trip will reestablish them in society and give him a fresh start while lifting his depression at the same time.
But as these things so often happen, something goes drastically wrong as Dr Foxworth's plane is taking off at a small airport. Somehow it fails to gain altitude as it should, crashing into trees at the end of the runway, scorching the playing field on the outskirts of Sher's private school Whitestone, and leaving Sher shocked and alone with only his grandfather in his life, his parents killed instantly in the crash.
For about a year after this event, Sher's grandfather visits his grandmother who has been admitted to a medical center for Alzheimer's until one day the visits stop and Sher's grandmother is gone, dead from aspiration pneumonia. Again Sher loses someone in his life he loves.
The decline of Sher is dramatic. His life is a mess and an end to his decline doesn't seem to be in sight. He enters college and continues on with his wayward life, ending his freshman year with a dismal grade point average of only 1.8, dashing his hopes of medical school, as if with cold water, as he realizes his dreams as a surgeon are most likely lost. Though he works throughout the following years to regain his stature in academics, his medical entrance exam scores and low grade point cannot gain him admittance into medical school and Sher is forced to rethink his life.
Far from the future he had hoped and planned on as a surgeon. Sher finds himself drawn into the life of a firefighter and his life takes a turn of fate which proves instrumental in the storyline. For throughout this book we are given glimpses into the thoughts and actions of an arsonist and watch with horror as he wreaks lives and homes with his use of fire and destruction. We see how he works with cold determination to destroy and enflame whatever displeases him at the time...or whatever he is paid to destroy.
The ending to this book is as shocking and surprising as the reactions of the characters when the final fire is raging and the last few pages of this book leave the reader in a state of emotional exhaustion due to the intensity of the scenes and shocking revelations within. I will not give away the ending of the book but I will say this much. The ending is one of the most heart-stopping, spellbinding endings I have read in a long time and one which haunted me for days after closing the cover.
I would highly recommend this book for those who like suspense, intrigue and a book filled with characters which seem to leap from the pages and fill ones thoughts far after the book is done. A perfect book for those suspense lovers in your life or a great book which will transport you from everyday life to that of Sher Foxworth, simply said, this book is a masterpiece of interwoven stories and one not to be missed. Read it yourself and see if you agree when I say, "Points of Origin" is a 'must read' and one which must be experienced to truly appreciate the intricate characterizations within.
Characters full of life, yet flawed at the same time!.......2007-02-14
Genre: Fiction
Title: Points of Origin
AUTHOR: Darden North, MD
"Anyone in the squirming audience who was forced to listen could have written the annual address."- An interesting first line to the story.
Set in Mississippi, we follow Sheridan Smith Foxworth III, called "Sher". We see a tale of a slice of life as seen from Sher's perspective; a very interesting perspective, to say the least. There are many questions for Sher to deal with having failed at getting into medical school. After saving the widow Architzel's pooch from a fire that took the life of his owner, Sher meets Fire Marshal Lisebbe and his daughter Kaylee. How will this effect Sher's life. Read on to find out, I did.
I found Dr. North's descriptions, characters and settings well written. His use and explanation of things medical are well conceived for this story. You will enjoy following Sher on his adventure of sorts.
Dr. North lives in Jackson, Mississippi. He practices at the Jackson Healthcare for Women, PA as an obstetrician/gynecologist. He along with his wife Sally, have a college age son and daughter. They live with two dogs, a cat, and a granddog.
I found this to be an interesting story about life in another part of the United States. I found the characters full of life, while flawed at the same time. Most people are the same, we all have our flaws. It is what we do with the flaws that count. I found Sher to be someone I would like to know. I would recommend this book as above an average read. Reviewer: Bob Medak, Allbooks Reviews.
Exciting storyline with twists and turns along the way.......2007-01-24
I found Points of Origin to be an outstanding novel because it draws the reader into the storyline, then has unexpected twists and turns along the way. With the vivid description of each character, I felt like I actually knew Sher Foxworth, Hobby Dencil, Flowers and Charity Riley and the hilarious character of Minor Leblanc--which had me laughing out loud. I would put Points of Origin in the same class as Turning Angel by Greg Iles--which I also recommend.
A good story in need of an editor........2007-01-23
Dr North's story idea is at least passable. His novel, however, is not. Anticipating a new Greg Iles, or at least a reasonable facsimile, the reader begins the novel with anticipation. After 50 pages, however, too much time is spent parsing sentences and paragraphs to see how they could have been better, and more clearly, written. Only then does the reader note that the novel is published at a residential address in Jackson, Mississippi, and therein lies the problem: a good editor (a corollary to a real publisher) would have proven invaluable.

Between the lines read, 'Existence loves you' It comes like a fragrance from every page. Osho says it takes courage to find the truth. People are not ready to up their dreams and their dreaming. They are not ready to drop the mind and move into the immediate. Only few people have dared to discover truth...It is risky; it may shatter all that you have known before and you will have to rearrange your whole life. It is dangerous. It may destroy all your illusions, it may shatter dreams. Only Silence communicates the truth as it is. We have God's words and his silence. Everything about Tibetan Buddism you never cared to ask.......2000-11-17
Any religion you pick, if you are looking for a real insight from a fresh spring, turn to Osho. Tibetans no exceptions, and you will inevitably enjoy this. Careful, though: it is designed to suck you in, and, low and behold, you will fall in love with Osho. You just have to research into what has been done to him throughout his lifetime to see what might happen to you.
Extremely refreshing..........2000-10-01
Now I know why he got into so much trouble...a free spirit if ever there was one. For confirmation, read the book, then look into Osho, the man.

Customer Reviews:
A Great book.......1998-08-24
This book is a must have. This book of 6 chapters is a total of 170 pages long with two index of Biblical refernces and Authors. Coggins did a very good job in his investigation of the Samaritans. His first chapter of the Introduction begins with the nature of their(Samaritan) problems. Chapter 2 is a witness of the old Testament. 3. The Later Jewish Literary Evidence. 4. Evidence of Archaeology. 5. Samaritan Traditions and 6. his Summary and conclusions. It is a very good read in view of the Samaritan people. I have never read a book with such favor of the Samaritan people. A must for study. Buy it and read it even if you don't study these people. Recommended Highly. Enjoy!
Book Description
manifest.Ø pierces the veil. Orion has been invited into a true understanding of consciousness and the complexities of the being called Human. The roots of our discontent, the agony of existence and the poison of assumption are laid bare. Beyond mere existence is life; beyond mere life is freedom! Only the willingness to begin is required. Within manifest.Ø's pages lie the first steps.
Customer Reviews:
An amazing mind shares a glimpse.......2006-03-20
Its nearly impossible to summarize Samson Orion's treatise on the true points of human existence in a short paragraph...just as interviews with the man himself offer little more than glances into the genious and deep complexity of a consciousness broader and in a word more "connected" than most souls you will encounter in a lifetime on this planet. His MANIFEST is just a doorway, maybe a beckoning entrance into a world few are equipped to transverse...but don't be afraid to take that first step, and see for yourself why Samson Orion's star, his "constellation," shines so brightly in the night sky of human understanding.
Reality check.......2005-05-04
This is a curious and original book. Somewhere between a channeled work (with the somehow typical warped language of an alien entity), and a philosophical treatise, Manifest.Ø spins a compelling web. I found it hard to read-no, not exactly-hard to stay with, but underneath is a current that swept me up and opened up new ways of thinking about the world around me. And about all that surrounds the world around me. I recommend it.
