Book Description

Into Temptation, the third book of the Lytton family trilogy, shifts the focus to New York City and Barty Miller. Rescued from the slums as a baby by Celia Lytton and now living in New York, Barty heads more than half of the Lytton publishing house. Falling on bad times, the family is worried that Barty will make a business decision that would be devastating to them. But will she? As events unfold, long-buried secrets concerning the whole family are revealed, shaking the very foundations of the Lytton's world.

An enthralling epic of the glamorous life in the mid-20th century with scenery that extends from New York to London, Into Temptation gives apt and telling insights into the world of the British aristocracy and their literary legacy. Readers have come to depend on Vincenzi for her enchanting prose style and the epic scope of her dramas: like the Lytton family sagas that precede it, Into Temptation does not disappoint.

5 out of 5 stars Loved this trilogy!.......2007-09-30

This was the best trilogy's I have ever read. I am sorry it's over now. I agree with all the other readers on how great these books were. I am also suprised most people have never heard of these books. I love the old English family saga's. I also loved Barbara Taylor Bradford's Woman of Substance.

5 out of 5 stars Into Temptation (Lytton Family Trilogy).......2007-09-27

I just finished Into Temptation, No. 3 in this superior trilogy, and can honestly say this trilogy is the best thing I've read since Gone With The Wind! I'm 70 years old, an avid reader of anything British and am so thankful I found this series before it was too late! Quick, grab the first volume of this series pronto and stay with it until the very last word on the very last page of the very last volume. You'll never regret it!

This was the book I enjoyed most in the trilogy. It is interesting from the beginning to the end and I was very sorry when I came to the last page. It is one book that I will read again maybe next year.

    Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Worth reading, but not top notch.......2005-03-13

The pros and cons lead to an average, or slightly higher than average rating. I really liked the fact that both protagonists were writers; Julian writes & says some deliciously romantic things. Their misunderstandings were presented in such a way that you came to understand their actions and animosities. Charles is a truly despicable villain. Very sexy book, often emotionally captivating.

On the down side, Letitia ....I never liked her. Julian did not handle her well, and neither did Sophia. The Charles situation was never fully resolved, and there needed to be more about what Julian and Sophia loved about each other.

4 out of 5 stars Engaging Regency Romp.......2003-05-12

In this third book of the series of the three boyhood friends, Brave, Gabriel and Julian we have Julian's story set in the same period of 1819 England. This one had a similar theme from Gabriel's story in that both of these men had loved and lost the heroines in their younger days through acts of misinterpreted betrayals and/or misunderstandings. To start this story, Earl Julian Rexley learns his sister Letitia was not where he was planning to find her to escort her to London for a season she did not want. In fact he would learn that she was at the home of Lady Sophia Morelle, a woman he hated and despised. A woman from his past that years ago he believed had set him out to trap him into marriage by staging a compromising situation where they would be discovered. Julian, felt she was only interested in his title and money and when approached by her father he refused to wed her. Facing a huge scandal Sophia's father then arranged for her to marry an older man with a loftier title and much more wealth less than a month later. The details of that union would be unknown to Julian until much later, but he would use that knowledge to convince himself that she was a greedy calculating witch. Soon after that he would write a poem of love and betrayal about Sophia that would launch his career as a leading poet.

Sophia, felt even more betrayal and returns his sentiment and she herself, wrote a scathing book modeled after him. Still, she has formed a very real friendship for his sister Letitia and Julian's sister has found a champion in Sophia who commiserates with her that Julian is acting like a bossy beast who only wants to control his sisters every move. Julian arrives at Sophia's, now a widow, insisting that Letitia leave with him, but she refuses unless he allows Sophia to accompany her as her companion. Sophia refuses, until her wicked brother-in-law attempts to force himself on her. Julian not only saves her from rape but realizes she was frightened of Charles and was not his lover as Charles tried to let Julian think. Julian also begins to wonder why the dowager Marchioness seems to be living in near poverty.

This was a very emotional love story - so very many missed opportunities because of youthful pride. The lead characters were wonderful - both so similar in that they were both published - he as a poet and she as an author. I truly enjoyed their story and was deeply moved to tears towards the end. What I felt held this back from a higher rating was the lack of closure to the storyline of Sophia's brother-in-law, Charles who figured so prominently in the beginning and was a major catalyst in turning Julian around into a protector for Sophia than the protagonist he was in the beginning. I kept waiting for a retatliation that never came. All things aside, that one fault does not stop me from highly recommending this book as an engaging and highly enjoyable read.

    3 out of 5 stars Temptation????.......2003-03-25

Too many misunderstandings and obstacles for the couple to overcome. The plot with Lord Aberley was unfinished. Lady Sophia's father was an awful character and her mother was weak. Julian was too set against his sister marrying the man she loved. Why did Julian and Sophia even want to be together? --Oh it must have been their undeniable lust for one another. I found both characters to be immature.

5 out of 5 stars very enjoyable book.......2003-02-11

This is an excellant read. I usually never leave reviews.
I finished this book in less then a day. It is a very
    well written story.

    4 out of 5 stars Yummy!.......2003-02-03

    Heroine: plump/voluptuous

Lady Sophia Aberley swore to have nothing more to do with Julian Rexley, the young lord who once broke her heart and left her to face down a scandal all alone. But fate has conspired differently, for when the earl's younger sister flees from her guardian and turns up on her doorstep, Sophia finds she is powerless against being drawn into Rexley's life once more.

Julian Rexley is fit to be tied when he discovers that his sister Laetitia is in the clutches of that jaded fortune hunter Sophia Morelle, the very woman who once staged being caught en flagrante delicto with him in order to trap him into marriage! Unfazed by the failure of her scheme, the greedy wench soon turned around and landed herself a wealthy Marquess instead. And to add insult to injury, the heartless doxy penned an "anonymous" tell-all book about the whole sordid affair, and even had the temerity to send Julian a signed copy!

This forced reunion between Julian and Sophia has all the earmarks of disaster, but will seven years of harboring hurt over deceit and betrayal melt away in the burning light of their love? Or will their bitter rancor begin anew?

    What worked for me:

I thought that giving both main characters a knack for the literary was an excellent notion. By reading each other's work, Sophia and Julian were able to gain more insight into the other's true thoughts they might have had otherwise. The little quotes from Sophia's book, which opened each chapter of the story, were delightful. And Julian's poetry, which heralded Sophia's curves as being more beauteous than Eden, was lovely.

The sexual tension was rather good, but better still were the actual love scenes, which were at once both hot and tender. Every woman should have praise for her figure lavished as sweetly upon her as Julian did Sophia's. This book is a keeper just because of those scenes!

Size-wise Sophia was voluptuous-going-on-plump. And like most women she had her concerns about her lover seeing her body, especially her breasts which sagged slightly from their weight.

    What didn't work for me:

There was a bit more enmity between the hero and heroine than I usually like in my romances, but readers who appreciate a challenging, hard-to-win-over hero will find one to adore in Julian. (For the most part, I liked him. But he really was being a bit of a dolt when it came to handling his 24 year old sister, who, spoiled brat though she sometimes appeared to be, did deserve at least some say in what to do with her life.)

    Overall:

"Into Temptation", with its elegant prose and sizzling sexual tension, is a delicious treat for fans of Sensual Regencies. Be sure to indulge yourself in it this Valentine's Day!

Warning: there are some steamy scenes and coarse words in this book.

If you liked "Into Temptation" you might also enjoy "Suddenly You", "The Accidental Bride", "The Bride and the Beast", "The Fire-Flower", "The Last Days of a Rake", "Unmarriageable", "Cat and the Countess", "The Courtship", or "Enchanting Pleasures".

I must say this second part of the series had me wanting to throw this book and never pick it up again. However my bestest told me to finish it, it's really a good story, so I did.
I am happy I did, I really enjoyed the story after Jade stopped whining.

Once Again Ms. Reign delivers a story of love, patience and faith in the man above and everything will fall in place. I especially like reading Reigns stories because all the areas in Camden, NJ she mentions are all places I've been.

I am looking forward to the next story in this series, keep up the good work.

We find the four friends, Ivy, Sheena, Jade and Miranda together again, but now it's with Jade's Dilemma.

Jade has dug herself into a ditch and does not know how to use the shovel to get out. Darrell and Jade share a child. He is in love with her and wants them to become a family. Jade feels as if she is unworthy of Darrell's love. Because of her past, she is not willing to let it affect his future, so she feels the only way to handle the situation is to run.

Jade has been praying and praying to the lord for answers, but she is not listening. She still is trying to handle the situation on her own.
Rev. Owens (of all people) gives Jade some useful advice and believe it or not, then she begins to listen. It's a very painful journey for Jade to reveal her past, but after she does, she sees that everything begins to fall into place, or will it???

While reading Jade's Dilemma, you just want to crawl in between the pages and SMACK Jade, forcing her to see the light.

I just love Jade's Dilemma as well as Ivy's Dilemma. They are both easy reads that BRING so much reality from everyday life into these books!!!
Reign focused on a particular situation in Jade's Dilemma, and I want to personally THANK YOU for it!!! It seems as if we are running into `that' situation a lot lately!
I really hate that we're going to have to wait until September in order to read Sheena's Dilemma.

Jade's Dilemma: Lead Us Not Into Temptation releases the story of Jade Marie Sanders, whose mystery in Ivy's Dilemma sparked many an interest. Along with being a full-time mother, daughter, sister, friend and semi-girlfriend, Jade is a law student at Rutgers University as well as a tutor for some of the children at Greater Mt. Carmel.

Usually the strong one of the group, Jade is finding it harder to mask her feelings for Darrell Parker Jr., her son's father. Darrell is intelligent, kind, gorgeous and if that's not enough, he's getting his doctoral degree in theology. Without a doubt he's her I.B.M. (Ideal Black Man). But, Jade's Dilemma appears to be illuminating all on its own. Frightened about what might lie ahead, Jade deliberates over how much of her past to own up to.

Just like in Ivy's Dilemma: Thy Will Be Done, author Reign uses the bible, friendship, love and other people's trials to help light the path in Jade's Dilemma: Lead Us Not Into Temptation. I absolutely loved it! So tell us what's your dilemma, Sheena?

"God don't bless mess, but he can bless through anyone."

      4 out of 5 stars Skeletons.......2006-12-07

Jade's Dilemma is book number two in the Dilemma series. Readers were given a glimpse at Jade's story in Ivy's Dilemma. Despite her close friendship with Ivy, Miranda and Sheena, Jade is holding back. But they are not the only ones she is not being forthcoming with. Darrell, the father of her son, is in love with her and wants nothing more than for her to become his wife. Jade, haunted by her past, does not feel that she is good enough for Darrell. She has a shocking secret that she would like to remain in the past. Jade is torn between the undeniable urge to do what she feels is right and the inescapable demands of her heart. Little does Jade know, the decision to hide her past may no longer be hers. Will her faith in God, family and friends help her prevail?

As with her first book, I was drawn into the story rather quickly. Jade's Dilemma Lead Us Not Into Temptation is a compelling story of one woman's trials and tribulations. While I enjoyed the storyline immensely as well as revisiting characters, I found Jade's Dilemma to be a little too preachy. That said, it was a delight to read. Reign is a gifted storyteller and I look forward to Sheena's Dilemma.

Is consumerism a spiritual dead end? Isn't it true that mere things can never make us happy? Why, no, says James B. Twitchell, in a sequel of sorts to his popular Adcult USA. We are what we buy, says Twitchell, and we like what we buy. After food and shelter, the next step in the needs hierarchy is self-actualization--and in contemporary society, what better way to self-actualize than to co-opt the mojo of recognizable name brands? The semiotics of purchase are important, he argues: durable goods make us comfortable, provide us with a sense of security in an age when religion no longer works the way it was designed to. The new high priests are celebrities who hawk basketball shoes, cars, telecommunications infrastructures, Carnival cruises, cosmetics, nicotine patches, and medications. Shopping, in this sense, may even be the ultimate act of self-identification with the divine principle. Radical though it may be, the hypothesis of Lead Us into Temptation is strongly supported by the evidence. Never before has the science of selling been so well understood, the market's ability to measure consumer satisfaction so complete. Read Twitchell and weep--or better yet, go shopping. --Patrizia DiLucchio

      Book Description

Coke adds life. Just do it. Yo quiero Taco Bell. We live in a commercial age, awash in a sea of brand names, logos, and advertising jingles -- not to mention commodities themselves. Are shoppers merely the unwitting stooges of the greedy producers who will stop at nothing to sell their wares? Are the producers' powers of persuasion so great that resistance is futile?

James Twitchell counters this assumption of the used and abused consumer with a witty and unflinching look at commercial culture, starting from the simple observation that "we are powerfully attracted to the world of goods (after all, we don't call them 'bads')." He contends that far from being forced upon us against our better judgment, "consumerism is our better judgment." Why? Because increasingly, store-bought objects are what hold us together as a society, doing the work of "birth, patina, pews, coats of arms, house, and social rank" -- previously done by religion and bloodline. We immediately understand the connotations of status and identity exemplified by the Nike swoosh, the Polo pony, the Guess? label, the DKNY logo. The commodity alone is not what we are after; rather, we actively and creatively want that logo and its signification -- the social identity it bestows upon us. As Twitchell summarizes, "Tell me what you buy, and I will tell what you are and who you want to be."

Using elements as disparate as the film The Jerk, French theorists, popular bumper stickers, and Money magazine to explore the nature and importance of advertising lingo, packaging, fashion, and "The Meaning of Self," Twitchell overturns one stodgy social myth after another. In the process he reveals the purchase and possession of things to be the self-identifying acts of modern life. Not only does the car you drive tell others who you are, it lets you know as well. The consumption of goods, according to Twitchell, provides us with tangible everyday comforts and with crucial inner security in a seemingly faithless age. That we may find our sense of self through buying material objects is among the chief indictments of contemporary culture. Twitchell, however, sees the significance of shopping. "There are no false needs." We buy more than objects, we buy meaning. For many of us, especially in our youth, Things R Us.

      Download Description

Named one of Newsweek's "100 Cultural Elite" and praised by George F. Will for his "robust contempt" for the intelligentsia's take on consumption, James Twitchell embarks on an insightful, fearless, and funny exploration of two of the central themes of modern American culture materialism and consumerism. Twitchell counters the notion of the "used and abused consumer" with a witty and unflinching look at commercial culture, starting from the simple observation that "we are powerfully attracted to the world of goods (after all, we don't call them 'bads')."

Had to read this one as an undergrad... & I still read it regularly for fun! How many books can you say this of?

Twitchell really cuts to the core of material psychology, branding, and then comparing these cultural phenomena to past Human indentifications: tribal, family, religious, etc. Result? Putting meaning in things is SO much more fun!

In one terrific section (and my favorite) Twitchell attacks the idea of "zombie TV watching" with a simple observation: When he watches TV he finds it to be an incredibly ACTIVE thinking process. Constantly changing channels, actively CHOOSING different paths, & never settling on one thing for too long (sound familiar?). Add TiVo, and who's really in control? The branders? The giant corporations? Some advertising elites in a smoke-filled room?

      Answer: YOU.

      1 out of 5 stars Just Dreadful.......2003-01-12

As an academic who loves to shop, I was hoping this would provide a more balanced account of the rise and impact of mass consumerism. He is certainly right that academics and other relatively privileged strata have something of a knee-jerk animus to mass pleasure. But the book is a complete failure. It amounts to little more than a defense brief for mass consumerism--and like a good defense lawyer, he ignores evidence that doesn't fit his case, distorts the arguments of his foes, and offers a rosy, unreal view of his client. ... Skip.

4 out of 5 stars Pragmatic view point on consumerism and advertising.......2002-08-16

An interesting read about the invasive consumerism of the 20th century. His basic take is we buy what we want, it isn't foisted on us by advertsing. All that you see on TV is an ad, including the "news", the sitcom set, ie house, clothes, pots, pans, lamps and has been since the beginning of TV. And that "Democracy" is the freedom to buy what you want when you want it.

He makes a good case that this has been what people "really" want since time imortal. And that no amount of whining about how it isn't good for you can compete with the almighty dollar. Simply put, if you really didn't want it, you wouldn't buy it.

I do agree that he can get long winded in his arguments.

First, it was quite obvious that the author has some sort of animus against non-materialism, since he seems to glory in taking gratuitous chops at environmentalists, the voluntary simplicity movement, and pretty much anyone who doesn't agree with him. I was thoroughly sick of it by the end of the first chapter.

Second, he does not back up many of his assertions, despite a plethora of footnotes. For instance, he asserts that kitchens have gotten smaller in the last few decades (seemingly as a way of proving that we eat more take out and less home cooked food), without stating whether he means suburban or urban kitchens, new construction or remodelling, apartment, condo or detached kitchens...you get the picture. There are similarly unsupported assertions about trash disposal, landfills, and teenage buying patterns.

Finally, it was *dull*. The only parts that were even vaguely entertaining were the last few chapters, when the polemics were replaced by personal reporting of his trip to a mall. I learned very little about American materialism, and far more than I wished about the author's political biases.

      A huge disappointment.

5 out of 5 stars A fascinating, entertaining, and important book!.......2000-01-27

I first must take issue with a previous review. There is nothing remotely complex about the language Twitchell uses - certainly nothing that would require anyone with a basic vocabulary to need a dictionary. On the contrary, I found that Twitchell is often quite amusing and there were even times I laughed out loud at his astute observations and the entertaining way he presents them. Having said that, I did find one thing slightly irritating - the use of extensive footnotes that could easily have been included in the text without forcing the reader to jump around. Still, that doesn't detract from the important ideas Twitchell presents. You will never look at the world (and particularly the world of adverised products) the same way after reading this. This book, however, goes far beyond merely addressing products and how they are advertised. It addresses the psychology of "meaning" that is fundamental to how each of us construct our innner and outer world. It was given to me as a gift by a friend. I intend to buy several copies and give them to my own friends. I highly recommend it to anyone even if they are not interested in advertising per se. After reading "Lead us Into Temptation" they will be.

But Joshua has his own agenda. He needs to know what British Intelligence has on him. Why not challenge sensual, daring Lindy to an international game of hide-and-seek? There's only one hitch. Joshua wants to be caught. Is this game on...or game over?

If you read this book pretending it'll be a thriller you'll get disappointed. If whatever is written in this book about MI6 is true I think England would need a new spies department as well as new robbers.

If you read this book as a love story the only think you'll read will be sex and really dull sex. So better find another spy or sexy book instead of this one. At least is a cheap book.

1 out of 5 stars beware: virulently anti-Catholic.......2005-10-28

First half of the book is straightforward reportage of the Gilbert Gauthe case. The second half is a polemic in which Berry propagandizes for open homosexual activity among priests.
Many devout Catholics, unlike left-wing reporters like Berry, trace the roots of the abuse scandal to encouragement of homosexual activity in seminaries since the 1960's. If you consider yourself a friend rather than an enemy of the Church, then buy "Goodbye, Good Men" by Michael Rose instead of this.

        5 out of 5 stars A Must Read..........2003-10-12

Jason Berry is to be commended for his courage, reporting and investigative skills in bringing this tale to the public. As a fellow Catholic I know it must have been a painful experience. It is truely a "must read" and I would just like to say "Thank you" to Mr. Berry.

        5 out of 5 stars Informative.......2003-07-17

Interesting, informative book about the pedophile scandal in the Catholic Church. The author points out that the true problem lies in the cover-up. Pediphiles occur in many areas of society, but other agencies, such as the Boy Scouts, do not try to protect and hide them. The Catholic Church does.

        5 out of 5 stars Remarkable Book.......2002-10-13

I have had first hand experience with priest sexual misconduct, so I have read much of the literature and have followed the present crisis closely. This is the best thing I have read. The best written and researched. Every Catholic should read this book about the present state of the priesthood. I know what he is saying is true, and I also know from my experience, but it still astounds me.

5 out of 5 stars Remarkable Book by Remarkable Author.......2002-08-13

This is truly a can't-put-down book about the current crisis in the Catholic Church--priest abuse of children. Jason's book was written before the present crisis that erupted in 2002, but it gives solid background of other priest-pedophile cases dating back 30 years or so.

Jason is not content to just quote other sources--books, newspapers, magazines--as others have done concerning this scandal. He actually went and interviewed the priests, bishops, parents, and most importantly, the victims. He doesn't just state the facts, which could become boring, but he has the gift of writing that made me feel that I was actually there, seeing and hearing what he was seeing and hearing.

Nothing else got done in my house for over a week because I was so wrapped up in his true characters and his gritty, gutsy reporting style. This is not a book for the faint of heart, and Jason does not pull any punches in his investigative reporting. He proves himself vulnerable, however, as he revealed that he cried with victims and became angry with the system that let this abuse be a continual event. He remains a Catholic as I am because he feels that there is still hope that the Catholic Church can correct itself and become what Jesus meant it to be. I feel the same way.

The Catholic hierarchy is shown as more caring about the male buddy system than they are about our children who need our protection. The guilty priests, who should have been defrocked and turned over to the authorities, were nonchalantly transferred to other parishes with no warning to other parishes about the new priest in their midst and his dangerous, dark side.

Jason's writing is powerful and real. When I read the part about a man who became terrified because he felt that the devil was after him after he had talked to a pedophile priest, that terror transferred itself to me. It was 2 a.m. and I had been unable to stop reading Jason's book. I needed to go downstairs to get my medicine, but I was afraid to do so. My house alarm had been on so I knew that no BODY was in the house, but I felt the same evil that Jason's character had felt. It was as though an evil menace was there in the room with me. I knew that this menace did not want me to read Jason's book and thereby learn about all the evil that had been buried in the Catholic Church for so many years and that Jason's reporting was now bringing to the light.

Fortunately, the terror did not last long. A beautiful peace soon settled over me, and I knew that a protective Presence had entered my room, dispersing the evil menace. This loving Presence wanted me to continue reading Jason's book so that I would be knowledgeable and would be prepared for necessary changes that I believe the Holy Spirit will make in the Catholic Church.

Thank you, Jason, for a remarkable book and all your labor that went into it. I do not know you but I feel that I do. Keep up the good work.

        5 out of 5 stars Loved it!!!!!!!!!!.......2006-09-24

Loved it. It was great to read, very funny. The scene's in the gym was brilliant, very hot. The secondary characters, especially Venus had me in stitches with some of her escapades. I can't wait to read her story (wicked & willing). But before that we have the next in the series "Two to tangle".

2 out of 5 stars Predictable Characters and Plot.......2003-08-25

Leslie Kelly hits all the right formulaic plot beats in her novel Into The Fire, but I cared little about the frequent hot sex and was happy to put the book down by the end. Why?

I suspect it is the characters. Lacey Clark and Nate Logan, rival columnists at different magazines owned by the same publisher, are at war, arguing in print about sex. Every month he pushes the virtues of mindless passion while she insists on the necessity of true love. They hate each other, though they've never met. So-surprise!-they fall in lust at a party and have wild sex without knowing who each other is. The rest of the novel is about how they deal with the truth of their identities once they discover it.

It's a nice premise, but the plot plays out predictably. Kelly could have upped the tension by putting the characters more through the wringer, making us believe for at least a moment that there was some doubt if they'd end up together.

Still, plot predictability is not the main problem-it's the lack of fresh characters. Everything Lacey and Nate think, say or do is predictable. Their dialogue is mostly flat and indistinguishable from one another. Their `witticisms' are generic, clearly coming from the writer rather than from the characters' personalities.

I do not recommend this book. Even in tightly defined genre fiction, the characters need to be fresh and surprising at times, to come to life with more individuation and complexity than is here. They need to be larger than life in more ways than just their voracious sexual appetites.

5 out of 5 stars Great Stuff from Leslie Kelly........2003-07-01

This story is great. Full of wit and affection. Great if you can read it straight through. The pace is fast and the two main characters are loveable. This was my first book by this authour,so I shall make sure it is not the last.

5 out of 5 stars Baby, move that frying pan out of the way..........2002-03-21

...I want to jump right INTO THE FIRE with Lacey and Nate! Leslie Kelly is romantic comedy at its best...but she adds a spicy sensuality that takes this book straight to the top! Nate is a yummy hero, like a layered parfait with more to him than meets the eye. Lacey is such a loving, caring woman that her weaknesses are her strengths, putting her in the middle of an almost impossible dilemma--but one she overcomes with honesty. And the secondary characters are awesome. Bad-girl Venus, aging playboy JT and scheming Raul make this book one too good to miss!

5 out of 5 stars Into the Fire - Lots of sparks and sizzling heat!.......2002-03-07

Aptly named, Into the Fire sizzles with more chemistry than a high school science lab. Even before the main characters meet, the author teases us with a glimpse of how a classic tryst between strangers will ignite into a hotbed of conflict when they learn that they've jumped on the trampoline of love (quite literally) with their sworn enemy. Like her previous Harlequin Temptation romances, Leslie Kelly treats her readers to the very things we want most when we pick up a Temptation: witty banter, plenty of conflict and a bonfire of sexual tension. Nate Logan is a romance reader's dream hero -- self-assured enough to be deliciously cocky but sweet enough to eat with a spoon and a side of Rocky Road. Lacey Clark's determination not to get involved with the very man she has publicly ridiculed is adorably tested by some very colorful and memorable secondary characters..and by one very persuasive hero. This is a definite keeper for Tempation fans and if you aren't one yet, you will be after you read Into the Fire. Highly recommend.
