It was indeed the good research and explanation about membrane technology in water and waste water treatment. I kindly ask the editors to let me translate the book in Farsi language. Best wishes. Mohammad

Not her best - but we still love her and some great one liners.......2007-08-10
Royal Treatment by Mary Janice Davidson
I'm sure we've all strutted down the street, imagining ourselves to be filthy rich, adored by millions and trailed by several gorgeous black suited bodyguards. Mmm.. no? Well okay then it's just me, but I'm pleased to find a kindred spirit in Mary Janice Davidson, who doesn't feel that a world where Alaska is a sovereignty and is at all strange.
King "Al" as he likes to be called likes to get away from things by hanging with the plebs, and on his latest jaunt on a fishing boat he runs into the mouthy and depressed Christina Crabbe. Convinced she'd be perfect for his eldest son David who so far has a distressing habit of preferring penguins to humans, he wastes no time in getting her back to his palace in Alaska and engaged to his son. Now don't worry, Christina isn't as thick as this makes her sound, but let's just say that King Al is somewhat of a master manipulator, and Prince David is kind of hot if you ignore the "eau de penguin", so she might as well sit back and enjoy the ride. This is a fun romp, and watching Christina's assimilation into the decidedly wacky royal family definitely brought a few grins to the face. The usual warning applies when reading this author, don't drink and read. Choking over snorts of laughter is not an attractive look!!
A Funny & Romantic Story of Make-Believe.......2007-05-14
What if Alaska hadn't become the 49th State? And what if, unnder the direction of a man named Kaarl Baranov, the residents of Alaska got tired of the law that forbade Russians from settling permanent in the snowy wilderness and performed a nearly bloodless coup? And what if said Baranov took control of Alaska , set it up as a monarchy, and became its first king?
This is the historical back-drop for MaryJanice Davidson's THE ROYAL TREATMENT, and it's only the beginning. The royal family--including father King Alexander II, oldest son Prince David, oldest daughter Princess Alexandria, middle son Prince Alexander, youngest daughter Princess Kathryn, and youngest son Prince Nicholas--reside in the Sitka Palace and are unlike any bunch of stiff-necked royals you've ever met.
The King, who takes delight in attempting to fool the commoners into thinking he's an average fisherman on a weekly basis, is a wise-cracking, tender-hearted, potty-mouth ruler with a heart of gold. And for the last few months, his goal has been to find nearly thirty-year-old son Prince David a wife. King "Al" believes he's found the perfect wife for his son--Christina "the 'e' is silent" Krabbe. Fired from her job on a cruise ship while at port in Alaska , Christina has no money, no family, and nowhere to go, until King Al in disguise invites her to get in touch with one Edmund Dante, who turns out to be the King's adviser.
What follows is a hilarious romp through family loyalty, lust, and the life and loves of a royal family. As Christina and David head toward an history-making wedding, the two of them learn that love and laughter are as necessary as ruling a nation.
With MaryJanice Davidson's trademark wit and witticisms, THE ROYAL TREATMENT is a delight that you're sure to enjoy.
Just plain awful.......2007-01-22
While I was reading this book I kept wondering what this is supposed to be, a modern day fairytale maybe?
I mean come on, Alaska being its own country, and the Prince getting married to some broke unemployed woman his father the King met on a fishing boat? She just has nothing better to do with her live and agrees to become the future Queen, including a lavish wedding with guests such as Suzanne Sommers, Kate Beckinsale, Prince Charles from England, and Princess Stephanie from Monaco.
It might work as a children's book, if the f word hadn't been used all the time and the few sex scenes had been eliminated. But for an adult, who wants to read that? How about something a bit more realistic, just a bit would be good...
4 stars.......2007-01-06
Christina Krabbe finds herself down on her luck when she loses her job as a cruise ship cook just as they reach the Republic of Alaska. She pours out her troubles to a nice, older gentleman and he offers her a place to stay, and incidentally, to fix her up with his oldest son. She didn't really believe that he was King Al II until she arrived at the palace. She is instantly welcomed into the most unpretentious royal family and it is not long before Crown Prince David proposes. This is no fairy tale, and Chris needs some convincing, but in the end, she agrees, even if she has some qualms about marrying a guy who seems more interested in penguins than anything else and to whom marriage entails becoming a servant of the people. She likes Al and all the rest of the group and she's never had a family. Besides, David is hot, when he doesn't smell like tuxedoed birds. There are some obstacles between her and happily ever after; shoe shopping, princess lessons, the official royal pita- Edmund, an ex-lover who turns into her bodyguard, and some violence, but all in all, she's managed to achieve every girl's dream, sort of.
**** This is a fun book. Yes, it does have all the trademarks we have come to expect in a MJD novel, but there are innovations as well. Edmund could give Summerset a run for his money about who can be the biggest stick in the mud while being utterly endearing about it. Ms. Davidson's novels are always a kick to read. You can complain that they tend to be much alike, or as King Al might advise, "shaddup and enjoy it." ****

The Royal Treatment.......2006-12-01
Did not like at all.. First off, as a person who actually lives in the Interior of Alaska, this comes off as more than a joke. More like an insult to us Alaskan's. For one thing, we would love to become our own country. Truly. We would be a prosperous one, with all the resources we have. Did the author visit Alaska, then decide to make fun of us? No, did not like this book at all. Her other books have been great reads, hopefully she'll go back to that venue.

Long Live the Veggie Queen.......2007-03-03
Great cookbook. Jill Nussinow is dedicated to both the health of incorporating veggies into your diet, and the passion for making truely delicious food. I love food and love to cook, and I found some new ideas here - The Veggie Queen had some new ways of working with healthy but sometimes puzzling ingredients like nutritional yeast, and after reading this book, I'm going to pull out my pressure cooker (a gift I've never used), and armed with her book, I'm looking forward to trying some 20-minute (or less) healthy soups and stews.
Mouthwatering veggie dishes.......2006-11-08
Everything about this book rates 5 stars. The cover and the graphics are lovely but the academy award goes to the recipes. I cannot imagine anyone reading this book and not wanting to eat more than 5 (veggies) a day. Jill, a registered dietician; an expert, has managed to make a great deal of in-depth information clear and interesting. I will be making many of the recipes in this book, for Thanksgiving and all through the year and plan to give this book as a gift to many of my veg challenged friends. Yum, thanks Jill.
A royal additional to my cookbook shelf.......2006-09-19
Reviewed by April Sullivan for Reader Views (09/06)
Jill Nussinow is a registered dietician and culinary educator. Her peers know her as the Veggie Queen. She is dedicated to the pursuit of increasing the amount of vegetables consumed by Americans today. Vegetarian or not, we all need more vegetables, and this cookbook provides the average cook the tools to do just that.
Jill makes a strong case for buying local and organic produce from your area's farmer's market. She arranges "The Veggie Queen" by seasons (spring, summer fall, winter, anytime at all) to make the task of shopping and cooking in season an easy one. Along with the over 100 recipes, there are also short essays about various topics. These relevant and often humorous essays add bits of information that enhance the book and make it an enjoyable read. Jill's passion for the art of cooking comes through and raises the book to more than just a cookbook.
This may sound strange, but my favorite part about this cookbook is the index. So many times I find myself with leftover or abundant ingredients in the pantry, such as tomato paste or a bunch of fresh sage from a friend. Most cookbooks only index the ingredients found in the title. But to my delight, "The Veggie Queen" indexes even the small ingredients within the recipe. I can quickly reference tomato paste or sage and find that I can make "Fasoulia" or "Three Sisters Stew". If only all cookbooks were this thorough!
Even stranger, another one of my favorite parts of the book is the cover. I find myself staring at its subtle beauty. The royal title and sketch of a queen adorned in eggplant, radishes, and asparagus are laid out on a palette of gold and purple.
But between the cover and the index is where the real glory is held, in the recipes. The book is not too thick and not too thin, a welcome change from the sea of fat cookbooks that are squeezed onto my cookbook shelf with only a few useful recipes inside. With the Veggie Queen's support, I am eager to visit the farmer's market and fill my plate with five to nine servings of vegetables a day!
More than 100 seasonal recipes that will teach the reader to prepare vegetables in a wide variety of scrumptious ways.......2006-01-11
Culinary educator and registered dietitian Jill Nussinow presents The Veggie Queen: Vegetables Get the Royal Treatment, and compilation of more than 100 seasonal recipes that will teach the reader to prepare vegetables in a wide variety of scrumptious ways, from Smoky Gazpacho to Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup to Winter Squash Enchiladas and much more. All recipes are delineated with extensive, crystal-clear step-by-step instructions. A mouth-watering way to enrich one's diet with of healthy vegetable dishes, The Veggie Queen is an enthusiastically welcome addition to cookbook shelves, especially in the modern era full of fried, fatty and junk foods. Highly recommended.
You can make any veggie taste good - without butter!.......2005-12-20
It's all about vegetables in this new cookbook written by a true vegetable-lover and the author of Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone. If you are one of those vegetarians who truly doesn't like veggies - in fact, any vegetarian - you need this book. The truth is you can make any veggie taste good, and it doesn't require loads of butter or cheese, I promise. There is something for everyone here, from salads to sautes and sauces to soups.
The book is divided into six sections: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, Anytime at All, and Pressure's On - In a Good Way (all about pressure cooking). Perhaps my favorite part of this book is The Veggie Queen's Morsels and Tidbits sprinkled throughout. After reading this cookbook (which I did from cover to cover), I not only had some terrific ideas for vegetables, including ones I rarely eat or have never tried, I also felt that I knew the author. These short essays based on childhood memories, conversations with friends and fun experiences like growing mushrooms in the bathtub are witty, informative, and above all, fun to read.
Here are some of the recipes that will be gracing my holiday table this year: Spinach Salad with Warm Sesame Dressing; Lentil, Mushroom and Walnut Pate, and Shepherd's Pie (a new family favorite around here).
Did you know that only a quarter of Americans manage to eat the five recommended daily minimum servings of fruits and veggies each day. If you can't imagine eating this many, much less the 5-9 servings that are now suggested, this is the book for you. Give your vegetables the royal treatment, and you'll learn to worship them like the kings and queens of nutrition that they are! -- Melanie Wilson
Book Description
Few people are aware of the deep, criminal activities by organized medicine, top university medical researchers, drug companies, and high-ranking government "health" officials which perpetuated the crisis that gave birth to the grassroots demands for choice in health care. In his latest book, Cancer Conspiracy, world reknown, Rife Energy Medicine researcher Barry Lynes describes in great detail the atrocious actions by those in power and the unapproved remedies and cures developed by Rife, that have been suppressed for decades. It's time to learn the truth.

A must read for EVERY American!
Royal Raymond Rife-- The Nikola Tesla of the Medical World.......2006-12-16
Just as the great electrical genius and inventor Nikola Tesla was truly light-years ahead of his time with his discoveries, Dr. Raymond Rife was light-years ahead of his time with his dicoveries in the cure for cancer as well as other technology that the medical field still uses today, including modern microscopes. And, sadly, just as Tesla was stamped out by the greedy elements of this world because he wanted to give the world free energy, Rife was stamped out because he wanted to give the world his discovery of the cure for all diseases, including cancer. (There are other sources that mention that Rife even built towers, like Tesla did, and transmitted his frequency therapy in order to eradicate diseases in nearby towns, which the government quickly put a stop to). I highly recommend any source that deals with both of these two fascinating geniuses and how much they gave the world, only to get trampled on by greedy captital interests at the great cost of the populace.
Barry Lynes hits another home run.......2004-08-24
If you or a loved one have cancer and you still have doubts about pursuing "alterantive" cancer treatment, this book should erase them. In exquisite detail, Barry Lynes documents the suppression of many cancer treatments and the collusion that made that possible.
Today, with the Internet, cancer patients have much more information available than we did 14 years ago when my former wife and I began our battle with her cancer. Books like Barry's would have saved her life. She was a victim of the conventional cancer treatment "system." Don't let this happen to a loved one of yours. This book is a great place to start your study of today's medical "establishment."
The book deals with the medical and drug company collusion in the United States. But this same dangerous collusion is worldwide. Fortunately, the majority of people recognize this and are turning to "alternative" treatments (actually they should be the primary treatment). In 2002, the number of patient visits to alternative practitioners exceeded those to conventional doctors. Keep giving people truthful information, Barry. It's working.
Clear, concise overview of medical suppression, racketeering.......2003-11-24
Lynes does a solid job of looking at the history of allopathic medical racketeering in the USA, focusing on cancer treatments that have been suppressed because they are safe, natural, cheap, and effective. The history of Royal Rife is impressive and well documented, and his proven electromagnetic treatments remain suppressed, with practitioners persecuted by the established allopathic medical cartel and their allies. Lynes documents his research well, and offers enlightenment to those seeking to understand the history of the bogus war on cancer and medical racketeering. The only major aspect of the topic not discussed is evidence that certain elements of global oligarchic powers see allopatic medical control and practices as a means of population control or population reduction.
The Cancer Conspiracy........2003-04-10
This book has changed my life. If you have cancer, or know someone who does, I recommend this book to you. The knowledge you will gain about Royal Rife's cancer cures will stun you. The chapters exposing the truth behind the dangers of mammographies and the drug Tamoxifen are something all women (and men!) should know about. Too often we are led blindly into making medical decisions we feel we have to make, and we trust our doctors too willingly. Please educate yourself to other options and alternatives. There is a whole world out there of cancer therapies that have wonderful success. Author Barry Lynes not only exposes medical crimes and tells you the true story of a scientific genius who cured cancer--but it also can get you started to finding health alternatives to treat cancer, and other diseases, too.

Quick, Fun Read!.......2004-12-11
"The Royal Treatment" was a treat to read. I enjoyed the conflict between Jade and J.T.
Jade is determined to interview the Queen of Penwyck and find out what is going on in the royal palace, and J.T., who is supposed to be guarding the royal family, is determined to keep her out of the palace.
Not only that, Jade an J.T. were married at one time, and have never lost the "flame" for each other.

A collection of research papers.......2007-03-02
This is a nice book if you are interested in knowing the basic of biodegradable plastics. The book is composed of edited version on several related research papers from all over the world. Most of these papers are outdated from 1980s and 1990s. Considering the content on the book, the price is a little bit costly. After all you are buying an edited version of other people's work. If you do have time, you can find all those articles through popular database for free.
