The Malory Price Life Plan does not include a quixotic quest - but the strangers on Warrior's Peak claim that she must find a key that will release three souls held captive by an evil god. To Dana Steele books and the knowledge they hold are the key to contentment. But now that search for knowledge must include the second key. She won't be alone, for she's formed fast friendships with two very different women. She can't allow herself to be distracted by the return of the man who broke her heart so long ago, for a danger beyond anyone's imagination is determined to keep her from completing her quest.

Key Trilogy.......2007-07-07
I have read these books several times, and have them on CD for travelling. Nora Roberts is amazing, and every time I reread her stories, they take me away again. This particular story gets me involved over and over. The characters are so real, and so much fun!
Key Trilogy.......2007-06-28
Nora Roberts Key Trilogy CD Collection: Key of Light, Key of Knowledge, Key of Valor (Key Trilogy)
I thought the story lines were very entertaining and cool the way they all go together. The "reader's" voice was pleasant and easy to listen to.
A very enjoyable listen.......2007-06-01
The Key series is just great! I really enjoy how likable the characters are and how real they seem. I laughed out loud several times in each book and I was on the edge of my seat in each book. You can relate to all of the characters. Great story line, especially the fairy tale. The narrator was especially good. She did not try to change her voice to be every single character. She read the story the way it was supposed to be read; not monotonous or hyper-active, just how you would read it in your own head.
Nora Roberts: Key Trilogy.......2007-03-24
I had already read the books, but also enjoy books on CD. I have to drive in a lot of bumper to bumper traffic and this really relaxes me as I drive. I enjoyed her other stories on CDs like Midnight Bayou and the Three Fates. Because the CDs were adbridged and not the full version of the books I was set to be disappointed with things they might leave out. I wasn't, it was merged in such a way as not leaving the listener who might have already read the books miss the parts left out.
Key of Light, Key of Knowledge, Key of Valor (Trilogy).......2007-03-08
Wonderful! Kept my attention, read the whole thing twice it was so much fun!

Book Description
This enchanted collection brings together eight of George McDonald's most well known fantasies into one delightful volume. The George McDonald Treasury includes The Princess and the Goblin, The Princess and Curdie, The Light Princess, Phantastes, The Giant's Heart, At the Back of the North Wind, The Golden Key, and Lilith. MacDonald's classic works have inspired deep admiration in such notables as J. R. R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, G. K. Chesterton, Elizabeth Yates, and Lewis Carroll. C. S. Lewis wrote, "I have never concealed the fact that I regarded him as my master; indeed I fancy I have never written a book in which I did not quote from him." One day while in a train station, he picked up a copy of Phantastes and began to read. "A few hours later," said Lewis, "I knew I had crossed a great frontier." G. K. Chesterton cited The Princess and the Goblin as a book that had "made a difference to my whole existence." Madeleine L'Engle wrote, "Surely George MacDonald is the grandfather of us all-all of us who struggle to come to terms with truth through imagination." If you loved J. R. R. Tolkien's Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, you will love the works of his hero and model - George McDonald.

Great stories, but..........2007-05-09
...the Phantastes story does not have the original quotes that preceded each chapter's events. I found the quotes and passages added to the understanding of the events, but they are omitted here.
Book Description
It is difficult now to imagine San Francisco Bay without bridges, but not too long ago, a complex system of ferries and trains helped span the waters in an elegant way. The Key System was a huge portion of this network; it was part of businessman Borax Smith's method to attract San Francisco workers to live in the cities of Berkeley, Oakland, and Piedmont, where he dealt in real estate. The Southern Pacific Railroad was the Key System's fierce competitor, then later an ally, before it was vanquished. Thousands of commuters rode the system for years, until a ridership decline eventually doomed the Key when bridges finally crisscrossed the bay.

Impressed!.......2007-10-01
I'm very impressed with the photos in this book. Some of these seem to be newly discovered. My father rode the Key System Bay Bridge trains during the 1950s as I mentioned in my review for another Key system book.

Love all of Nora's romance books.......2007-02-25
You can never go wrong with a Nora Roberts romance novel and this is just one more great one in the list.
Captivating Keys.......2007-02-16
What a wonderful storyline. The basic plot takes place in Pleasant Valley, PA and focuses on three women brought together presumably for a party/reception at an old mansion-Warrior's Peak. Malory Price, Dana Steele, and Zoe McCourt, strangers prior to this meeting, have no clue as to what they are about to embark upon. Their hosts - Rowena and Pitte welcome them to the "party of three" and that is when they are presented with the challenge of the three keys, the purpose of which is to find them and unlock the souls of the three demi-mortal-goddesses, put into a "Sleeping Beauty-type" slumber by the evil Kane centuries ago. While discussing the task at hand, all three women are faced with a beautiful and very old portrait of the demi-mortal goddesses and coincidentally the goddesses resemble Malory, Dana and Zoe. Each girl will receive $25,000 up front to take on the challenge and, if all three keys are found, they will then each receive $1,000,000. If the first one fails, the entire task is over and they lose a year of their lives. If the first key is found, then they move onto the next, each having one full month to achieve their goal. Again, even if they are successful with finding the first key, and they do not find the second or then the third, each subsequent failure results in the end of the search with the resulting loss of time in their lives. "Key of Light" is Malory's (and Flynn's) story and the search for the first key. To summarize the romance point, suffice it to say that there are three very handsome men connected to the story, each getting drawn into the quest for uncovering the whereabouts of the keys through their involvement with the three "chosen" women. It was really nice knowing the story wasn't over at the end of the book. "Key of Knowledge" picks up right where this story leaves off and the reader is treated to the continuing saga of the mystery. This trilogy is Nora at her best. If you enjoy her writing technique, you will definitely become immersed in the "key" to distinguish what is real, what appears to be real and what is fantasy.
Pleasantly Surprised.......2006-11-10
I was pleasantly surprised by this book as I am not usually a big fan of Nora Roberts. I have read several of her books and she tells wonderful stories but her writing usually lacks a certain "passion" for me (and I don't mean the bedroom scenes). Maybe a certain "edge"? It just always seems so banal even though the stories are well written. Usually more of a fan of Judith McNaught, Virginia Henley, Beverly Jenkins, Jayne Anne Krentz etc. I like some real meat to romantic fiction which I don't usually find with Nora Roberts. However, Key of Light was a very pleasing read indeed. I would highly recommend it and intend to pick up the two following books in this trilogy.
Great Light reading.......2006-11-03
I loved the key series, the characters are engaging and well developed and, as long as you are willing to embrace the unlikley, you will be deperate to start the next one before the last page is done.
A really great read for relaxing and light entertainment.
I'm so glad I finally read this book.......2006-05-25
I avoided this series for some unknown reason. When I first read the story summaries, they didn't sound "as good" as other Nora Roberts' series. I was sooooo wrong. This book grips you from the get go and never lets up. The adventure is fun and "on the edge of your seat". The background stories and character development is good. The main characters are wonderful. Another great series by Nora Roberts....
Book Description
The Bible is more than anything else a Near Eastern account of spiritual events and teachings. Let There Be Light: The Seven Keys opens the door to the ancient Aramaic world from which the Bible emerged. Bypassing doctrinal creeds and rigid interpretations, Dr. Errico presents a broader understanding of Scripture without the restrictions of literal explanations. This book equips the reader with seven key insights to understand the allusions, parables, and teachings of the bible: (1) The Aramaic Language, (2) Idioms, (3) Mysticism, (4) Culture, (5) Psychology, (6) Symbolism, (7) Amplification.
Customer Reviews:
Clear ,Concise and Informative.......2007-01-11
Studied under the orginal George Lamsa, and it is a "have-to" read
for anyone studying Metaphysical Truth.
Its clear,concise and mind-exploding.
An insight into the Bible through Aramaic language and culture.......2005-07-20
A mind boggling and tremendously fascinating book. If you are among the many who never really figured out what Jesus actually said on several occasions, this is a book for you. The author unveils 7 keys to open up the door to the ancient Aramaic world from which the Bible (or at least the New Testament) emerged. The language is plain and simple and the contents will give you a much deeper insight into New Testament and Biblical teaching that you think would ever be possible.
A Book All About Context.......2005-05-28
It should first be noted that this book is not written as a scholarly journal, and therefore does not deserve the criticism reserved for a scholarly text.
This book is about helping the general reader and student of the teachings of the Bible to be more receptive to the the context in which the stories contained within were written and who they were written for.
Mr. Errico describes in simplistic terms and examples how the Bible can be understood differently by those looking at it two thousand years removed. He presents his seven steps to studying the Bible in its proper context. Drawing heavily upon the teachings of George Lamsa, he presents other possibilities for understanding some idiomatic expressions contained in the Bible.
I can't say that I agree with everything that is contained within this text. I think other scenarios are more probable, but will fairly allow for the possibility.
I do reccommend this book, not necessarily for the interpretations contained within, but for the good advice on how to approach the Bible's teachings and how to frame the study so as not to ignore the proper context.
Great insight into the Bible.......2003-05-29
Definately some great ideas on the Bible and Jesus. Sheds light on so many illogical things that never make sense to most of us. Makes the bible much more understandable and user friendly.
I learned a lot. I read this going. "oh my God, that makes perfect sense now! That's what Jesus really meant."
It's more of a spiritual seekers book than one for "strict" Christians who are not into new ideas and interpretations on the bible. Although after reading this you feel like you can't imagine how anyone ever got along without these ideas because they make so much sense.
Poor source of study for Aramaic.......2002-05-19
While the author does indeed explore the various incongruities of the Aramaic language and culture, this book is almost entirely used as an opportunity to spread Mr. Errico's own personal beliefs about the Bible, and quite liberal ones at that. No Satan, Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac - a vision only, No Eden, angels are purely metaphors. In fact after reading this book you might be inclined to believe that nothing recorded in the Bible actually happened. It is unfortunate that so many people (as most do not read Aramaic) will be swayed by the rhetoric in this book. Mr. Errico repeatedly suggests that parables are pure fiction written to convey an illustrating point only. Adam and Eve did not really exist. And yet he fails to explain if they did not exist, how can you explain the brotherhood of man? Nor does he actually support any of his theories with any facts or proof. For such an accomplished linguist, he fails to point out that idioms which are a subset of cliché's often have an original context from whence they started, thus the fact that the first set of the 10 Commandments having been written "by the finger of God" may have in fact been the origin of the idiom. He uses modern examples of idiom usage to explain historical narratives as pure idiomatic expression. This is poor academic and narrative work. The main redeeming value is to suggest to the reader there may be something more to explore when interpreting a passage of the Bible.
Book Description
The Chinese-born American architect Ioeh Ming Pei is one of the most prolific architects of our times. Best known for such as the East Building of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, and his controversial and critically acclaimed Grand Louvre glass pyramid in Paris (1983-89), his architectural oeuvre is characterized by the importance of light. In a series of intimate interviews with filmmaker Gero von Boehm, this volume explores the origins, ideas, and motives behind Pei's work.
Book Description
A nationally known astrologer explores the connection between spiritual emergencies at age 30, 40, and 50 and key astrological passages of Saturn, Uranus, and Chiron.
• Provides techniques for directing the kundalini energy released during planetary passages for optimal personal and psychic development.
• Includes charts for birth years starting in 1930 so that readers can determine the timing of their planetary passages.
• By Barbara Hand Clow, author of the bestselling Pleiadian Agenda (60,000 copies sold).
Kundalini--the energy of eros that lies at the base of the spine--can be overwhelming once activated. Times of activation coincide with the key astrological passages of Saturn, Uranus, and Chiron in one's birth chart and are often experienced as periods of spiritual emergency, confusion, and imbalance.
In Liquid Light of Sex, Barbara Hand Clow opens up new dimensions for understanding what occurs during these key life passages, which most of us experience three times in our lives. In the author's words, "we form at age 30, we transform at age 40, and we transmute at age 50." Focusing on the transformation at age 40--the time of imbalance and spiritual confusion often referred to as the "midlife crisis"--she explores how kundalini energy, the liquid light of sex, can be creatively channeled by unblocking the chakras. Offering effective methods for achieving physical, emotional, and spiritual growth during this important life passage, Liquid Light of Sex presents a roadmap for using celestial cycles to navigate positively and productively in times of great life change.
Customer Reviews:
a great help!.......2007-10-07
three monthes after my 40th birthday i was reeling with incomprehension. i had turned into some kind of dr.jeckyll and mr. hyde. the morning after a totally unsatifying $150 session with a respected astrologer, my copy of this book arrived from amazon. for $12(!) this book explained to me what was going on, why, what i could do about it, and showed me a promising path of spiritual unfoldment where i had begun to expect imminent insanity and a sad slow demise.
i've been experiencing kundalini awakening and following my own astrological transits for ten years, but it took barbara hand clow to show me what was right in front of my face in terms of mid-life. now instead of confusion and fear, i have calmed down, recommitted to disciplined spiritual practice, and i feel on track again. this book is a wonder of clarity and help. her other books are great too.
Psychotherapist's review.......2007-04-10
I'm 51 now. I've been watching people grow for 20 years in my practice. This woman, Barbara Hand Clow, has it DOWN about the big transitions that create a true human being. She's also an astute and intuitive astrologer, and you'll pick up some insights there, too.
Spiritual Astrology for Life Passages.......2003-11-22
This book describes and helps validate the changes and experiences undergone at mid-life by many individuals. She gives advice for men and women on how to handle the need for inner change and growth while preserving their relationships intact in most instances. While sharing her caution and respect for the rising of kundalini energy, and her view that it should not be forced to arise at an improper time, I do not agree that one always needs to wait until age 36 or so to let this energy begin to awaken. Damming and smothering the flow of kundalini energy when it is trying to rise at any time can have unfortunate effects as well, I believe. Use of certain meditation techniques and physical disciplines like Kundalini Yoga can help to make this awakening safe and smoother when it does occur. Unfortunately, the subject of kundalini awakening has been neglected by western science and astrology, so this book is performing a valuable service by acknowledging the phenomenon and giving helpful advice on how to handle the experience. I believe that just reading that many other people have had similar experiences can help a person to feel better about themselves and not just think they are "going crazy." When I first experienced kundalini rising, I had no one to talk to about the phenomenon, and I only realized years later that other people had these experiences of the feeling of energy flowing in the body as well.
I found the sections in this book on the astrological houses and the polarities they represent to be particularly helpful and inspiring. I found the updated material on Saturn at the end of the book to be helpful as well in describing and plotting phases of one's career and life. In addition, Barbara brings in material on the cycles of Chiron, the heavenly body discovered in our solar system in 1977, and its return to its original position in our natal charts at age fifty. I found this material on Chiron, the wounded healer and ruler of many New Age techniques and modalities, to be so intriguing and moving, and to have so much resonance in my own life experience, that I have bought her book on Chiron and have started to read it as well. Her chapter on Global Shamanism near the end of the book helps tie the experiences of the individual in with the journey of society as a whole and helps to postulate some remedies for current problems of society. I do wish there had been more material on the planet Neptune and its transits at midlife as well. She also does not talk about the planets in the various signs, and transits of the outer planets to other planets in the natal chart, probably due to space restrictions and to the fact that this book was written for a general audience, not just for astologers and those interested in astrology. Therefore, the timing and character of certain events might be a little different for some people due to other factors in their individual charts not examined here. It would be helpful to the reader to get their chart done after reading this book to further personalize Barbara's findings. Also, books like Jeff Green's book on Pluto, or Bil Tierney's "Alive and Well" books on the outer planets could help expand the knowledge of the reader even further. Overall, this book is an excellent beginning to anyone wanting to examine the subject of mid-life crisis from a spiritual point of view.
