When bounty hunter Bryan Kelly meets gorgeous philanthropist Shay Sommers he mistakes her for a prostitute. Despite Shay's denials, Bryan remains convinced that she's a hooker. Frustrated, Shay decides to conceal her wealthy lifestyle and moves into the Preacher's safe house to get to know some real "working women". Meanwhile, Bryan has an identity problem of his own, for he's masquerading as his twin brother, Preacher Bruce, in order to discover the identity of the person who assaulted Bruce and continues to threaten the women in his shelter. Bryan will do whatever it takes to find his brother's attacker and ensure the women's safety--especially Shay's. Both Shay and Bryan are keeping secrets that can destroy their growing relationship and neither of them are accustomed to trusting others. If Bryan can keep Shay alive, will he be able to convince her to trust him with her heart?
The Secret Life of Bryan is a sexy romance with a suspense plot set against a backdrop of gritty city streets. The secondary cast is colorful and readers will enjoy the inclusion of characters from the connected book, Say No To Joe?, in this continuation of the Winston family novels from bestselling author Lori Foster. --Lois Faye Dyer

Struggled to finish.......2007-06-24
After reading "When Bruce ment Cyn" I was looking foward to reading "The Secret Life of Bryan" by Lori Foster. Byant has switch places with his twin brother Bruce when Bruce is beaten up for trying to help former ladies of the night Shay Sommer has called by press the "Crown Princess" for all the good works that she does. When Bryan mistakes Shay for a hooker, she decides to stay to try to help others. Bryan wants Shay, but he can't believe he wants her and his confuse by this.
I really wanted to like "The Secret of Bryan" but I found that is was a struggled to finish it. This book just didn't see like a Lori Foster book, it lacked the romance of other book by Ms. Foster, I sorry that I spent the money I did for this book.
It was alright........2007-06-12
The book was ok but I liked the previous book for this series better.
Very Funny! .......2007-02-21
The whole visitation series is GREAT!!! I fell in love with Say no To JOe, And JAMIE. It's great because it's funny and and the characters are in all of the Visitation books. They are definatley my favorite Lori foster books.
I thought the book was great esp when Shay kissed the wrong brother! I busted out laughing. I love the very bad boy books that she writes!
Senseless.... .......2006-12-06
I couldnt get into it at all, just mindless rambling that went on and on. I struggled to page 157 and finally had to close the book.... and sat thinking... where the heck was the plot? "...I just read HALF the book!"
Dont waste your time, money and effort... What a shame, from reading the back I was looking forward to it.
Romantic mystery.......2006-03-08
I think I found a new favorite author. This novel has attempted murders, deception, prostitution and two great love scenes. Bryan the bounty hunter is pretending to be his twin brother the preacher who runs a halfway house. Shay wants to open her own halfway house and pretends to be prostitute. A quick read that would leave you begging for more.

A total chest-thumping macho-fest........2007-08-08
Here's the thing. You expect the big, sexy, strong, lethal, Lori Foster alpha heroes to be perfect. Macho machines all the way to the bedroom, and then some... Clint is all that (pant, swoon), but he has one teensy little endearing fault. He pukes, every time he beats up the bad guys! He just can't stand hurting people, although at the time he is beating them up it's his protect and defend thingie kicking in heroically. Aww. Julie Rose (remember her, the sweet yet determined school teacher from Say No To Joe?) has been kidnapped and held for ransom. The ex-fiancé sends Clint and his team to rescue her, which they do, of course. So the first time Julie sees Clint he's a human demolition team, single-handedly annihilating all her tormenting kidnappers, enraged because he's seen them rip her clothes away and threaten to rape her. And then - he pukes...! Moving on. Given he's a big bad `safe' goodie and Julie's been completely traumatized, she kinda clingwraps herself to him and won't let go. Even in bed, where she discovers he's, er, a bit bigger to handle than most men! When the politics behind the snatch get complicated, Julie's ex suggests Clint keep her safe a while longer. She's soooo okay with that, but he's reluctant. For a while, anyway, to the hilarity of his all-knowing sidekicks. With Joe (sigh) and Jamie Creed making cameo appearances (and the rest of the gang from Visitation), you'll be cheering for all the boys! A total chest-thumping macho-fest.
Just a Hint.......2007-06-12
I liked the book because it's part of a series.
Kidnapping, murder and mystery.......2006-03-09
This novel tell the story of Clint and Julie. Clint is hired to find Julie after she is kidnapped. In the process of solving the puzzle they find they are perfect match. Lori Foster brings in all the old characters from Visitation. I am off to find more of the Visitation series which I am reading out of order....
A Thoroughly Entertaining Read.......2005-07-28
Lori, Lori, Lori. Her books are always a delight. Just a hint Clint, does not disappoint. If you're not a Lori Foster fan, it's time to jump on the bandwagon. This is Chick Lit extraordinare.
Clint is somebody you won't want to miss!.......2005-06-28
I'm one of those types that usually likes to read things in order. I've enjoyed the "Visitation Series" out of order though. I've already read the rest of them, this weekend it was Clint's turn. I wasn't disappointed to have read him last either.
He's one of those hunky heros with the dark hair, graying at the temples, hard as nails, sexy as they come. The 'take no prisoners' kind of men. And while I'm in the midst of my own puddle of drool, I get to see that Clint Evans has a vulnerable side to boot. Now, who doesn't like a tough guy with a soft inner core?
Clint is hired to rescue Juile Rose. She's a sensible school teacher. Sort of a plain-jane. Not much exciting going on there. Well, except for the fact that she was kidnapped, pushed around, and starved half-to-death. Other than that, she's pretty darned normal.
But, the minute Clint sets his sights on her he realizes he doesn't really want to bring her back to her ex-fiance. He wants to keep her for himself. And what Clint wants, Clint usually gets.
Julie Rose has plenty of experience with big, gorgeous, alpha males. After all, she does live in Visitation. But, none of those men had ever sparked a heat in her body. None of those men had ever held her as she wept, braided her hair when she was too weak to do it herself, or made her want to both smack him silly and love him senseless. Clint Evans does all those things, and more.
Clint is a one-of-kind Hero that will make you simply melt and wish you were Julie. 'nuff said.

Exotic psychic-assistant Luna Clark has avoided confirmed bachelor Joe Winston for three long months. She knows that she's far too attracted to the very sexy Winston male but when she needs protection for her two young orphaned cousins, she turns to the tough bounty hunter. Delighted at the opportunity to spend time with Luna, Joe packs his bag and accompanies her to North Carolina, where he finds himself falling in love not only with Luna, but with the teen-age girl and young boy who are now her responsibility. But someone is causing "accidents" to happen at the house on Quiet Lake and before Joe can concentrate on seducing Luna, he'll have to find the perpetrator before the danger escalates.
Nobody does blue collar heroes quite like author Lori Foster and Say No To Joe? delivers plenty of sexual sizzle between Joe and the free-spirited heroine who's clearly savvy enough to handle him. Toss in a couple of endearing kids threatened by a mysterious enemy, an eccentric cast of secondary characters, an interesting plot, and the result is an excellent contemporary romance. Foster has a well-deserved reputation for creating charming, unforgettable characters and steamy romance--and she's at the top of her game in Say No To Joe? --Lois Faye Dyer

Great Book.......2007-05-23
I picked this book up at the library and was surprised that I liked it so much. Joe is a cousin the the Winston brothers that have their own stories which I have yet to read but definitely will after reading Say No To Joe. Joe wants Luna and Luna needs help from Joe but doesn't want her heart broken since Joe tends to be a love em and leave em guy. Joe agrees to help Luna when she moves to take care of orphaned cousins she didn't know she had. Somebody wants them out of town though and Joe is along to help find out who. Luna eventually gives Joe a chance and they fall in love. Secondary characters in this book are set up for their own stories which I can't wait to read.
Say Yes to Joe.......2007-05-09
This is my favorite Lori Foster book.... Absolutely love Joe. I read Wild and couldn't wait to read his story and I was not diappointed. The chemistry between all the characters was amazing........ I was sorry it ended........ I could have read more and more!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joe is the cousin the famous hot Winston brother who is ex-cop and bounty hunter. Luna meets Joe through the Winston Brother and now needs a favor. Luna has become guardian to two children but needs Joe help because of some harassment of the children. This book has great passion, mystery and is fabulous start the new series. Important part of the series!.......2005-07-09
I was honestly more interested in the back story about the children and the harrassment from the townspeople than the love story itself. I loved the other installments of this series and this book is important to understand the stories bigger picture and where the other characters are coming from.

A Good Read, but not a strong ending.......2007-05-07
Bruce first met Cynthia "Cyn" Potter at a roadside truck stop, when she was fighting off a truck driver. Cyn was on her to Vistation North Carolina, drawn there by Jamie. Bruce is more than happy to give the ex-lady of the night out. But Cyn is running from her past. A past that is making its way to North Carolina.
"When Bruce met Cyn" is a book by Lori Foster and while I did enjoy it, it was not as sexy as other books by Ms. Foster and the ending was not very strong.
Foster Has Wrote Better.......2006-10-15
This book was just ok. I've read some of her other works and they are definitely better. This one didn't really flow correctly. I wanted her to go into more detail about their relationship and how Cyn felt about her past. She didn't really go into how Bruce felt about Cyn's past and how he is planning on working through it. I'm not going to write a plot summary since other reviewers and Amazon does that way better than I could. I just felt let down by this book. It didn't explore the rest of the town's ideas or further their relationships either. Just wish Foster would have taken more time with it and really got into the story. Could have had more details and cut out some of the fluff. She should have had an editor on this one.
Cyn finds his heaven .......2006-03-14
'When Bruce met Cyn' by Lori Foster is the part of the series about small NC town. Bruce is a preacher who ran a halfway house for prostitutes and is now starting his own church near his twin brother. Cyn had an abusive childhood and working as prostitute to find peace and a real live. This novel like all Lori Foster novels has a seeding mystery, great romance and small alpha males. Enjoy!
an amazing story of survival and healing, against all odds........2005-09-10
Based on my (admittedly limited) previous experience with Lori Foster's books, I was expecting another light-hearted and funny basic chick-lit story. Wow - did this book deliver so much more than that, with a deep story of substance!
Cyn admirably escapes a childhood of neglect and abuse by running away at age 17. She survives the next five years supporting herself the only way she knows how - by selling her body. With fierce determination, she saves enough money within 5 years to move to small-town North Carolina and reinvent herself, find an honest job, become a productive member of society, make friends and fall in love with the town's understanding and nonjudgmental preacher. Her relationship with Bruce is threatened because it's difficult for her to trust any man, and she feels unworthy of the love of a good man. Cyn's abuser eventually catches up with her, and starts stalkin, threatening and tormenting her. With the love and support of Bruce, and the protection of the entire community, including a mysterious clairvoyant character, Cyn finally finds safety and much deserved happiness.
When Bruce met Cyn.......2005-08-12
A great series to read. Lori's characters are very funny at times...her books are always great reads!

I love Lori's books. I loved this series. I loved that Jamie got his own story wrapped up and now we know why he was such an enigmatic figure and why he's been so vague with everyone. I thought it was great, and I look forward to reading more of her stories as she is a more recent find for me.

Check out the the Winston Brothers and Visitation Series; HOT CHOCOLATE (Cole Winston and Sophie Sheridan's story), CHARMED (Chase Winston and Allison Barrow.), SINFUL (Mack Winston and Jessica Wells.), THE WINSTON BROTHERS (Reissued Winston brother novellas, under one cover.), WILD (Zane Winston and Tamara Tremayne.), SAY NO TO JOE? I Really REALLY Wanted to like this Book.......2005-11-25
Really. I did.
I've grown accustomed to picking up Lori Foster's books without even thinking about it, knowing I'll get a hot romance and a great story... until I read "When Bruce Met Cyn". I disliked that book so much it put me off Ms. Foster for a little bit and then I heard about Jamie and thought it would be a nice way to get back into her stories. It didn't quite work out that way.
Jamie is a remote viewer whose psychic abilities allow him to see, feel, hear, and basically experience the people around him on all levels. He was a lab rat, experimented on, used, lied to, and manipulated until he took off and disappeared, ending up in the mountains in a cabin.
Faith comes looking for him because her daughter (apparently as psychic as Jamie) tells her to. Danger, danger, danger!
Unfortunately the book spends almost all its time with the same situation. Jamie being drawn to Faith sexually. Faith throwing herself at Jamie's feet (literally) or winding up naked somehow.
I'd figured out the "mystery" Faith was keeping long before the novel ended and I couldn't figure out how Jamie could be so blind about it when he was supposed to be so intuitive. Even if Faith could block him out, come on. It wasn't that hard!
Lori Foster writes well. Her characters are usually great and I love the sexual tension between them. But this time, it came off flat and repetitive and I was looking forward to the end of the book.
Not one of her better stories and not one I'd recommend.

The best interest of your child.......2003-09-15
A must read for all divorced/separated parents who really care about their children. While non-custodial parents may not like what this book has to say (especially in cases involving infants and young children), it definitely takes into consideration the needs of THE CHILD rather than the non-custodial parent and gives parents a good insight of what the child is going through. In an unfortunately judicial climate where judges simply want to take the easy way out to please the parents by cutting the children in half, this book warns of the potential damage this can cause your child. It also provides common sense methods for non-custodial parents to be involved in their children's lives until they do have more extensive visitation, which is encouraged as the children get older.
Understanding the CHILD'S needs.......2001-07-14
This book is an excellent guide to understanding what is best for your child and why. The author's recommendations stem from widely recognized theories of psychological development. It may seem unfair at times to the non-custodial parent. However, a part of being a good parent is doing what is best for your child even if that means putting your own needs aside. I think this book offers excellent guidance for parents trying to develop a healthy co-parenting plan that works and is age appropriate.
Bad Information.......2001-03-15
This book is very outdated to start things off. This shows no studies done on children who are actually involved with equal shared parenting. This book tells how the children should not spend the night at the onon-custodial parents house when at a young age. A child can sleep at a daycare or at school, but can't go spend the night at dad's house. How else can a child get the benefit of having both parents share in the raising of that child. The non-custodial parent would never get to help the child get ready for bed, wake them up in the morning, take them to school, make them dinner, and the list would go on forever. This book is great information for people who want their children to have one parent and to have major problems later in life
Very aggravating if you are trying to save your baby........2000-05-02
Good book if you are a bad female custodial parent involved in a custody dispute over a baby. Gives lots of reasons for not allowing the non-custodial to be involved as more than just a visitor. If you are a non-custodial, it shows you the kind of shallow thinking that Child psychologists were using only 10 years ago and explains many of the prejudices you run up against when it comes to taking care of babies. One example is they suggest that the "primary parent" or custody should be given to the one that spends the most amount of time caring for the child. They neglect to mention that in many cases this would be the day care provider or that it is possible that the time the "primary parent" gives her baby is only what she has to do to keep the baby alive while the limited time the non-custodial parent gives is because he wants to be with the child and knows that the child desperately need him. The information offered in the book gets more in sync with modern thinking as the age of the child increases.
Excellent.......1999-04-09
This slim volume was enormously helpful in understanding how to best meet the needs of children in different age groups after divorce.
My husband and I were painfully aware that his kids were still having a lot of trouble adjusting to his divorce, particularly the visitation schedule. This book helped us understand what revisions needed to be made to the schedule. We easily recognized his children in the descriptions of how kids at different developmental stages respond to their parents' divorces, and the author's lists of what the kids' developmental tasks are at each stage and what likely trouble areas are helped us to assess how the kids were coping.
We easily identified that the seven-year-old could be helped significantly by involving him in sports to develop important relationships with his peers and that we could probably divide the amount of time the nine-year-old spent with each parent more equally without causing her anxiety or leaving her confused about her schedule.
Kids have very different reactions to divorce, and this book is perfect for helping parents identify what they can do to help each of their individual children. An excellent resource for divorced parents who really want to help their kids.

A burned-out minister in small town Antioch, Washington, must wrestle with his confusion and cynicism when a self-proclaimed messiah takes over his ministry. The replacement minister looks like Christ. He even heals the sick and performs miracles. Could this messenger of hope and renewal be the real thing?
At first, this small town is abuzz with reports of miracles and religious sightings (a weeping statue of Christ, a disappearing hitchhiker warning of Christ's arrival, a soothing angel). But suddenly there's a twist of evil and demonic mystery in the air. It's up to the jaded minister Travis to track down the real story behind this visitor and somehow find a way to stop him.
Frank Peretti has been a hit sensation in the Christian thriller market but admits that up until now his books have surfed in the shallow waters of pop fiction. In The Visitation, Peretti has worked his craft more carefully--exploring how suffering leads to disillusionment in God as well as deepening his characterization. (The main character is a thinly disguised reflection of Peretti's own bout with doubt.) Fans will be relieved to know that Peretti is still dedicated to suspenseful drama, and there's still plenty of spine-chilling mayhem when all hell literally breaks loose on this small-town cast of characters.
Book Description
The sleepy, eastern Washington wheat town of Antioch has suddenly become a gateway for the supernatural--from sightings of angels and messianic images to a weeping crucifix. Then a self-proclaimed prophet mysteriously appears with an astounding message.
The national media and the curious all flock to the little town--a great boon for local business but not for Travis Jordan. The burned-out former pastor has been trying to hide his past in Antioch. Now the whole world is headed to his backyard to find the Messiah, and in the process, every spiritual assumption he has ever held will be challenged. The startling secret behind this visitation ultimately pushes one man into a supernatural confrontation that will forever alter the lives of everyone involved.

Worth the read.......2007-03-20
I'm an avid reader, however, THE VISITATION is my first book by author Frank Peretti. I found the book to be intriguing and thought provoking. Travis Jordan's character was very well developed. Definitely worth the read. I'm already moving on to other Frank Peretti books....
Stephen King Lite.......2007-03-12
Author Frank Peretti opens up with a great premise---What if Jesus came back and appeared in a small town in Oregon?
Unfortuantely, he abandons that promise shortly after the 100-pages mark, and the Sadduces in the local town church council become two dimensional charicatures as Peretti labours to present a Christianly acceptable horror story. How the church would react to an actual Second Coming is a fascinating topic, alas, *The Visitation* choses to go down the false prophet path, and the result is a pale imitation of King's *Needful Things.*
Amazing story; well written Jeremy Johnson.......2007-02-21
The book takes place in the small town of Antioch where everything is going fine. When a wooden cross at the local church begins to weep tears that heal the sick. Everyone begins to see signs Jesus around them. Then a man shows up from Montana to work on a ranch when he starts performing miracles of healing and prophecy. Half the town beleives he is evil and is a demon while the other half believe that he is Jesus. Travis Jordan the ex-pastor of the church calms the new pastor from doing anything rash. However soon the media hears about the amazing healer and comes running. However Brandon Nichols (the mystery man) won't allow himself on cameras. Pretty soon everyone starts to really wonder about who he is? why he's here? what he's hiding? and how he got his power? In order to find out what happens you have to read the book which I strongly recommend.
This was my first Peretti book.......2007-01-10
And it will be my last. It was given to me by a friend whose intentions were good, but I think backfired. The author clearly knows ministers (of the Penecostal type), is very familiar with religion, Christianity, the idioms, lingo and even speach patterns of those in a 'believers' world.
The author also has a low view of the 'non' penecostal type faiths, as portrayed in the book. Seems like the only one willing to go out and fight was the guy who saw demons. OK. As someone who doesn't believe in demons, I found it a bit, erm, frustrating. Because in my life, and world, it was the opposite.
Mostly, the author clearly has no concept of abuse, the long effects, how human personalities are changed and altered due to physical pain and neglect, what an abused child does to survive the horror & most of all, the emotions and beliefs that are absent in such an individual. He needs to visit a foster home....talk to folks dealing with kids with RAD, or showing signs of early sociopathy. Understand what has gone wrong in such folks.
And it ain't demons.
Demons my butt. Deal with someone whose not able to trust, who can't feel love or compassion and knows that they were screwed over from birth. That would have made a world of difference though maybe made writing a 'happy ending' for the book dang near impossible. Because never in the history of humanity has such a person been totally 'fixed' Ahhhh, now I get it! Easier to write about demons that to admit that like growing back lost limbs, God can't create missing empathy or emotions.
As you can tell, the demonic aspect of the book was a major put off for me.... because it boomeranged the authors intent. Instead of making it look like God was the most 'powerful' and in charge, the story came off more like "if you get trampled by buffalo, God won't be there to turn the herd, but when it's all over, he'll pat you on the head and hand you bandaid---- an itty bitty one at that. Oh, and he'll sing you a song'.
Thanks, but erm, it wouldn't been nice if some of the buffalo had broken a few legs first. A few gopher holes woulda been nice! Next time, I'll avoid both God AND the buffalo.
Also, all it takes is a minor bump in the road to turn you away from faith (loss of spouse) with God being silent, but heck, all you have to do when in agony and terror is call on Satan and he's there with bells on.
OK, so just from a pragmatic, I don't wanna die and the pain is getting me down point of view, it doesn't make God look like much of nuthin. Instead, I found myself thinking "gee, never dawned on me to call for Satan....or God either....I just wanted OUT!"
So, by the end of the book, I really disliked the Minister, felt a bit of empathy for the villian (been there, done that, got the tee shirt) and most of all, felt tremendously annoyed at a glib and ignorant treatment of abused children who've grown into adults. That's not the real world. That's not where I live. No amount of prayer, bibles or church services will ever fix that.
IF the author had left simply left out the 'war of heaven and hell' stuff and simply dealt with the people as people, with faith as faith and most of all, what hope is there, if any for the adult survivor of abuse in a religious setting.....it would have made a great read. And probably helped a few 'abused kids grown up' feel that God is on their side. What you get is.... "Oh, it's the demons!?! Granny was right!"
Excellent Story, Gripping and Fast-Paced.......2006-06-05
Welcome to Antioch, Washington, a small town over an hour from Spokane. Travis Jordan is the burnt-out ex-pastor/narrator of the story and what a storyteller he is. Either Peretti was a burned out, disillusioned Christian, or he has excellent powers of observation. He nails disappointment and disillusionment with God, cynicism forged by unanswered prayer and constant disappointment honed by too many years of working with the body of Christ.
Everything is going along as always in Antioch when the large wooden crucifix at the local Catholic Church begins to weep tears that heal the sick. Not long afterward, people begin seeing Jesus' face in the clouds and in tree bark along with a few other spiritual miracles.
When Brandon Nichols shows up, ostensibly from Missoula, Montana to work as a ranch hand for the rich widow Mrs. Macon, he starts performing miracles of healing and prophecy. The town is split on who and what he is. Unbelievers and even some of the "elect" believe he's the Christ, but the other half of the town thinks he's a demon deceiver. Young, new pastor Kyle Sherman is beside himself with righteous indignation, wanting to "take this town for Jesus" and expel this demon interloper. But Travis Jordan has "been there and done that" and he steadies Kyle's actions. Learning the where and what of Travis's "been there and done that" is interwoven skillfully into the tale. Soon, the public gets word of Brandon's miracles and the media come running, along with folks from all over the country, everybody wanting a special healing or simply to see and experience this new messiah. But why won't Brandon allow cameras, even when he goes public with his ministry and sets up shop? What's he hiding? Who is he and where did he come from? And where did he get his "power"?
Peretti has paced this story very well; even though we know up front (if you've read Peretti before) that Good will prevail over evil in the end, the hook is seeing how Good prevails. The author does an excellent job building suspense and holding all the reins under control, rationing out revelations slowly to keep the suspense and the mystery going right up to end of the book.
The Visitation probably contains a lot from Peretti's real life. Travis Jordan's life has been a panorama of colorful and realistic church experiences and church folk. If you were ever a believer in a small town or even a member of a very large church, you're likely to read in amazement as Travis relates his own story, because you're likely to see your story there, too.
The Visitation was a story I couldn't wait to get back to--I read at lunchtime at work and in the evenings after work. It's been a long time since I was that excited about a novel. Fortunately, Peretti has other novels so the fun doesn't have to end yet. I hope you'll find The Visitation as exciting and captivating as I did. I highly recommend it. I learned from Peretti's website that there's also a movie made from the book, and I immediately put it in my Netflix queue. Rumor has it the movie is even better than the book.

This book was purchased as a study for a Women's Group..for those that wanted to know more about the supernatural side of God..what's real, what's not and how to deal with people confused by the counterfeit. What does God want us to do with these experiences? Why do we have them?
An easy read, packed full of great information, experiences and backed up by scripture.

Book Description
Animal-assisted therapy (AAT) has become an accepted form of augmenting the healing processes that occur within the walls of healthcare facilities. The same joy and comfort animals provide at home can also benefit the eager patient or resident who awaits a visit from a volunteer and their pet.
Photographer Renee Lamm Esordi accompanied volunteers and their pets on visits to hospitals, nursing homes, a school for special needs children, a psychiatric program, and a youth camp for troubled teens. Candid interviews with health practitioners, staff, and volunteers describe the challenges and rewards of AAT in their own words. She witnessed and recorded the joyous responses of patients and residents who look forward to the companionship and conversation the visits provide. She also accompanied a volunteer on another type of visit: delivering pet food and supplies on behalf of an organization whose mission is to keep those living with HIV and AIDS from having to choose between taking care of themselves or taking care of their pet.
Her documentation of these interactions illustrate the pleasure people can derive from the simple presence of animals. These photographs tell a story not only of alternative methods of healing but also of compassion, unconditional love, and comfort that these visitors can bring.
CNN.com says Esordi "captured the beauty of this unique animal-human interaction", and Animal Fair magazine assures "one need only look at these snapshots to realize that a picture taken by Esordi is worth a thousand studies...her contribution to furthering public awareness is a valuable one."
