I loved this book!!.......2007-09-09
I love all Sophie Kinsella's books!!
This was a great one, I read it in 3 days, I couldn't stop. It was a lot ot fun and has a great message..a complete rollercoaster ride..Great new character, you HAVE to read it!! You will love it too!
similar to others, but still a fun read.......2007-09-08
Sophie Kinsella's novel, The Undomestic Goddess, is a formulaic but fun-filled twist on Kinsella's previous stories. Firmly in the chick lit genre but possessing more wit and laugh-out-loud humor than most others in that category, The Undomestic Goddess can most closely be compared to Kinsella's other books, including her first and most well-known novel, Confessions of a Shopaholic.
The story revolves around Samantha Sweeting, a highly driven attorney living the legal dream at one of Britain's most prestigious law firms. In line to become the firm's youngest-ever partner, Samantha is rudely booted from the company when a small filing error costs a client millions of pounds. In a panic-stricken daze, Samantha flees London to get away from the repercussions of her mistake and knocks on the door of a spacious mansion when she gets off the train several cities later.
The couple who lives there believes Samantha is an applicant for a full-time housekeeping position and employ her on the spot before she can protest. Unfortunately, Samantha knows nothing about cooking or cleaning after years of slaving to climb the ladder of corporate success. How Samantha finds happiness, love, and the domestic skills to pull off such an undertaking is a hilarious mess of misunderstandings.
A former financial journalist, Kinsella is famous for her Shopaholic series and known for her endearing portrayals of clever yet slightly neurotic women. She also wrote the novel Can You Keep a Secret?, currently her only other non-Shopaholic work.
As always, Kinsella's skill with the written word is unparalleled in her genre. Although, like her other novels, The Undomestic Goddess follows the mishaps of a quirky young woman who digs herself deeper into her lies and cover stories before pulling through in the end, it is no less of a gem to read. Kinsella's ability to convey common thoughts that every woman has in a way that makes the reader laugh out loud never gets old.
While some of Samantha's ploys over the course of the novel are rather ludicrous and nearly cross the line of believability, the funny and touching writing makes up for them. Samantha is lovable as a heroine, and the supporting characters are often humorously endearing. The love plot is subdued but sweet, and Kinsella does an excellent job of weaving humor and romance together for a believable relationship.
Kinsella delivers another winner with The Undomestic Goddess, a predictable but never boring piece of chick lit. Sweet as cotton candy but with enough bite to hook the reader until the very end, The Undomestic Goddess is perfect for anyone who wants to put away the heavy reading and have a purely fun fiction experience.
Fun, Light Read.......2007-08-31
I read this book for a light read and was not disappointed. Had a few chuckles along the way which I appreciated.
Great Book.......2007-08-22
I love this book. I could not put it down. This is a PLEASE READ!! :)
Sophie Kinsella is a comedic genius.......2007-08-03
I can not say enough about this author. It doesn't matter if the plot is inplausible. She is genius and hysterical! All of her books are wonderful. They take you away and are quick reads. I would love to see them in movies. The characters are rich and complicated. Must reads!
Book Description
A powerful truth-in-myth about the women of the Sisterhood of the Sun who have carried the light codes of consciousness for the coming Golden Age. The book has been a source of deep healing for the wounded feminine spirit - a call to all women to learn from the powerful archetypes it portrays.
This series of twelve stories includes the lives of Mary Magdalen, Lilith, Isis, Morgaine, and a young woman, Isabel, whose tragic life ends in the fires of the Inquisition. The loss of the Codes of Light with her death is offset by their presence in the lives of the Priestesses of the Sun in the Inca lineage. An activating account of the enduring feminine spirit, The Lineage of the Codes of Light is a must-read for all conscious women and men.

A Deep Knowing.......2006-09-01
"This book is fiction...unless, of course it isn't!" If youre called to this book in the first place then you're definitely open and aware of certain key truths already. On the path so to speak. The contents of the pages in this book are designed to open and awaken powerful truths within us. I recommend this book for both Women and Men. But this is the story of the sacred feminine and the unbroken lineage of women who have held the light codes for humanity since zep-tepi (the begining of the new star seeding on this planet). I've done extensive research on all topics this book touches on and I have never come across such a powerful "truth-in-myth" book that ties all intuitively discerned truths together.
hmmmm!?.......2005-12-29
The quote, "This book is fiction, unless it isn't..." is laughable because this book is very definitely fiction. This is a very thinnly veiled attempt to pass off a colletion of, self-prescribed "Channelings" as truth, and while there most certainly is truth in this book, it is still fiction. I must say that these singular tales are interesting even if untrue and there is a quality of activation within them that is uplifting. Not a waste of my time at all.
An important Prequel.......2005-09-18
Rating this book with stars (appropriate, given the subject matter) is difficult as the rating depends on who is reading it and why.
As literature, 3 stars, as it is not particularly well written, although it becomes somewhat better as the book progresses. It also covers ground that is already well known and explored within the metaphysical community.
However, for someone unfamiliar with the concepts, it is a good basic introduction, so 4 stars.
I recommend the book as it will prepare the reader for the more complex and much better written companion book, Brotherhood of the Magi, which I rate at 5 stars.
Are you ready for this?.......2005-03-05
I am awed at Jessie Ayani's skill in telling the story of the Sisterhood and imbuing it with such potent energy. I may be one of the pickiest people in the world when it comes to writing, and even the need for better editing in this book couldn't dampen the pure magic of it for me. I read this book slowly, rationing it so that I could extract the most out of it. I read most of it while exercising, and that really seemed to help me easily integrate the energy shifts this powerful book catalyzes.
Truly, if you are meant to read this book, and are ready for it, you will be drawn into it. You will feel new openings within you, deep memories surfacing, greater activation of the Codes of Light within you, and new realizations about who you are and why you are here. You will feel more empowered, and know you are a part of something wondrous. If it's not for you, or you're not ready to read it, you will not be attracted. But if you are, be ready to expand!
A good idea badly written.......2004-01-06
I wanted to like this book. It sounded like a great concept. But I couldn't get past the first 50 pages. When I read fiction I want to get caught up in the story and enjoy it. This book was irritating. It's a series of stories written in third person, a la Mother Goose, interspersed with ridiculous scenes of "Mother Goose" talking to her listeners. Actually, the author has her laughing her sentences rather than saying them. God does she need an editor. "'New codes are begging to be opened within me and I need to turn my attention to the attainment of their frequency. In other words, I have to get to work on myself!' The whole group laughed at Leah's last remark and the matter-of-fact way she stated it. She joined them, then asked if they had any questions or if there was any additional background information they felt they might need. Katy cleared her throat and ventured forth with a question." Ugh.

Goddess of the Sea.......2007-09-01
I really enjoyed this book! It was different from the other fantasy/romance books. Loved the ending!
Different is always good!!.......2007-07-21
I kept debating whether or not to get it but I am glad that I did. I loved the story. It was well written and loved the characters. I felt like I was in the world with them. I cant wait to read the second book.
Very Enjoyable!.......2007-04-24
This book was much better than I expected it to be. A fine blending of modern, medieval, & mystic elements. The plot moved along very well and I found the ending to be very sweet and unexpected. I have wondered, though, as to why the mermaid on the cover has a pinkish/orangish tail when the heroine's tail is described as a beautiful blueish color. Oh well...If you'd like to read more mermaid novels, I recommend The Last Mermaid by Shana Abe, The Mermaid's Song by Marianne Willman, Sleeping with the Fishes (Fred the Mermaid, Book 1) (Paranormal) by Mary Janice Dickinson. You may also enjoy The Tower at Stony Wood by Patricia McKillip, which has mermaid-like people in it; and another book, The Changeling Sea (Firebird) by the same auther.
Magic in the Water.......2007-02-19
I picked up this book bcause I love water stories, Mermaids, Selkies that kind of thing, this really delivers in the magic department. First of all CC is a very real woman silly and open hearted, the conversation with the telephone was very funny. And I had to respect a lady that could down to bottles of the bubbley stuff and an entire bucket of KFC then go dancing in the rain in the middle of the night, on a slick balcony and not kill herself.
I loved the descriptions of the undersea world and the differnt colors of the mertails. Gaea was wonderful she's been my favorite Godddess of Cast's so far, Stong, warm, loving, and present. Not at all untouchable. My most favorite characters were Isabel and the other ladies despite their hardships an disfigurments, they were in no way tragic or sour. Sapedon is just uber-crazy, Dylan is a hair away from being to to perfect, and the Abbot, what a twist. I liked goddess of the sea, was that CC never lost herself, even though she was wearing Undines body. also she never doubted that the seemingly impossible was possible. Another plus was that Goddess of the sea was romantic without being overly erotic, which I found refreshing. All in all a great read. Pick it up, and get a little magic in your life:)
Sooo much better than "Goddess of Spring" A really good read!.......2006-09-27
I read another book by this author called "Goddess of Spring" and was not impressed at all. It was an extremely typical romance novel, with a typical plot and a typical ending. Had I not purchased this novel at the same time as that one I probably would have never read anything else by this author. As it is, I'm glad that I bought this book three month ago, because even though it is a romance novel, it is quite good.
CC is inexperienced with romance, but an extremely competent air force officer. On a flight to her new station in Saudi Arabia her plane crashes, and CC is pulled under by the wreckage of the plane. Fortunately, a plea she made to the goddess to have more magic in her saves her in the guise of a mermaid who switches bodies with her.
But being a mermaid isn't easy-especially since CC has also been sent to the year 1014. Her half-mermaid brother is bent on raping her, and the goddess Gaia can only protect her if she is on land. But as her body craves the sea-CC has a problem. Throw in a quest for true love, a sexy brooding mermaid and a knight in not so shining armor, and you have the book.
A lot of thing about this book irritated me. Mythological mistakes, language problems... But so what-this was fun to read, actually romantic, and a truly enjoyable novel. I can recommend it if you like fantasy and can put up with some typical romance novel style fluff.
Four stars. Maybe I will try another by this author. It may be worth it if more of her books are like this.

A great book.......2007-08-15
This is a great book, with a complex, well done plot. I enjoyed it from beginning to end; in fact, I don't beleive I stopped reading for more than a couple minutes once I started, staying up into the night to complete it.
A true romance!.......2005-09-27
I loved this book.
Recovering from a smoothering, emotionally abusive marriage, interior designer Pamela Grey goes to Las Vegas to meet with a new client and, while wishing for true romance after too many glasses of wine, she accidentally invokes the reluctant aid of the Goddess Artemis.
The God Apollo, after witnessing the true love between Hades, God of the Underworld, and a mortal woman (from 'Goddess of Spring'), has decided there is something missing in his life. On a visit to the 'Kingdom of Las Vegas', his twin sister Artemis is entangled in a mortal's wish for romance and he realizes this might be the answer to his quest for something 'more'.
They come together both hoping to find a 'real' person, a soul mate who can fulfil the secret desire for love inside of each of them.
'Goddess of Light' highlights a woman's struggle to overcome her fear of being deceived again by love and a man's need to be completed by love. Add to this the fun and frolic of Las Vegas, Artemis's conflict between her selfish nature and love for her brother, E.D. Faust's (Pamela's client) strange combination of eccentricities and wisdom, Pamela's gay assistant's caustic humour and Dionysus's resentment at having 'his' realm of Las Vegas invaded by the other deities and the story becomes a fast-paced romantic tale of laughter and love entwined with wonder and danger.
The only thing I didn't like was the ending. I would have preferred something closer to the 'Goddess of Spring's ending although I have to admit Apollo's sacrifice was in line with what he said he wanted all along.
What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas..........2005-09-14
Pamela Gray runs a very successful interior design firm in Colorado. So when fantasy writer ED Faust asks her to do the decorating for his new vacation house in Las Vegas, she jumps at the opportunity. Discovering the man wants her to model his house after Caesars' Palace will be a challenge; but trying to figure out how to change his mind on the grotesque animated water fountain of Bacchus is imperative!
Apollo has felt all out of sorts ever since his encounter with the mortal Caroline from the Kingdom of Tulsa. His twin Artemis, trying to get him out of his funk, takes him through the newly opened portal to the kingdom of Las Vegas. What should be an enjoyable experience walking amongst mortals turns into a fiasco when Bacchus has several visiting nymphs perform an ancient invocation that actually works! One of the mortals watching the "show" accidentally completes the ritual binding Artemis to her.
Much to the chagrin of Artemis, completing Pamelas' hearts desire isn't as easy as she would like. That, and the interest Apollo has in Pamela is more than just lust...
I have to say, PC Cast is one of my favorite authors! While she is following the "Goddess" theme, I really feel like each of the stories is very unique and different. The ending of GODDESS OF LIGHT totally caught me off guard and actually worked for me. I also just want to add that never having been to Vegas, I can only imagine, but I really liked the visual description of the Bellagio fountains.
Pamela has been seriously hurt by her failed marriage. For this reason, she has dedicated herself to work, shutting men out of her life in regards to dating and romance. While Apollo is very charming, their relationship does seem a tad rushed, but magic is involved and he really is a God among men. (sigh!) So all and all, what should be a weekend fling turns into much more when the twins become mortal for a week.
The relationship between siblings is a tad obsessive, but I enjoyed watching Artemis grow as an individual to where she finally understands what her brother wants: True Love. She goes from being self-absorbed to willing to help him...it totally touched my heart.
While there really isn't your traditional "villain", Bacchus, the troublesome, fun loving god of wine is both the cause for Pamela and Apollo meeting and the trouble between the gods. He is a petulant child that doesn't want to share (his "kingdom" of Las Vegas) and as a result, we have a very amazing story. In the end, I think I really just feel sorry for him.
I'm sorry for being cryptic here, but this is a story well worth the read and I recommend GODDESS OF LIGHT.
A great romance you just can't put down!.......2005-07-04
I am putting this one on my KEEPER SHELF, for sure. P.C. Cast has done it, again! I can hardly wait for her next one to come out. I find myself rereading each book to discover the nuances and layers that I missed the first time through. This author's a shining star on her way to the top!
Wonderful book .......2005-06-15
PC Cast has been a favorite author of mine since Goddess by Mistake. This book, like all the others, is a page turner which can not be put down until finished. A must-read for those who enjoy modern-day Goddess/God romance fantasy.

Love, love, love it!.......2007-10-07
It was sultry, very descriptive. Great characters, wonderful settings, a wonderful book by a great author. People who like fantasy, romance with a real plot, and/or PC Cast will find this book is soon one of their favorites.
Great Cathartic Laugh.......2007-09-27
This is far and away the funniest, most laugh out loud until tears are streaming down your face, book I've ever read. PC Cast has always had a great sense of humor, but there is one scene in this book that kept me laughing (outloud in first class of an airplane) through the entire chapter. Pea is a character that I think many many women can relate to. I have read every one of PC's books. She is one of my favorite authors, but she absolutely out did herself with this one.
Another great book by PC Cast...........2007-09-01
Dorreth "Pea" Chamberlain was tired of being forgettable. All she wanted to do was catch the eye of hunky fireman, Griffin DeAngelo. Instead, she once again embarrasses herself in front of him. Using an incantation from a book, she invokes the aid of the goddess Venus. With a little help from Hera, Venus now finds herself bound to Pea until Pea finds happiness. Little does Venus realize but she'll also be helping herself....
Pea Chamberlain is a hoot! Her evolution from a shy, somewhat dorky character into a woman full of self confidence in both her inner and outer beauty is stunning. Who couldn't help but cheer for Pea as she begins blossoming into her own version of a goddess?
P.C. Cast does a phenomenal job at character development. Not only is Pea vividly portrayed, but so are Venus, Griffin, and Vulcan. I loved each and every one of these individuals and was thrilled that P.C. Cast figured out the perfect happily-ever-after for them all. Vulcan's story particularly touched my heart as one can easily imagine his pain at having a so-called "imperfection" and being so very different among all the perfect gods and goddesses of Mt. Olympus.
P.C. Cast never fails to enchant with her mesmerizing tales of love. GODDESS OF LOVE beautifully intertwines the modern day world with the mythology of the gods and goddesses. This captivating tale is pure magic! GODDESS OF LOVE is on the spicy side as this sensuous tale truly explores every facet of both the emotional and physical side of love. Once again, P.C. Cast scores a hit with GODDESS OF LOVE.

This was my first foray into the Goddess series, and I found it rather spicy, but well written. It made me want to go back and read the other books in this series.

Customer Reviews:
Excellent!.......2006-07-11
What a great resource book for working with pendulums. Loved it. Easy to follow. I would recommend it to anyone who is mystified by this divination tool!
A really nice and helpful book about Pendulums and their use.......2005-02-08
Diane Stein is probably best known to many as the author of one of the first and most controversial books on Reiki - "Essential Reiki". However, her books on healing and women and the Feminine Divine are also very popular and very good books on the topics.
This latest presentation, Pendulums and the Light explores some history, some mystery and making of an often over looked but very powerful tool - the pendulum.
With her opening chapter entitled Why Pendulums? Ms. Stein gives us some background on the book and it's purpose, what pendulums are, how to use them, and some very good advice on the practical and expanded use of pendulums.
Each chapter of the book is a very in depth look at the topic covered. In the chapter entitled "How to Make or Buy a Pendulum" she explores how to choose a pendulum, what stones to look for, personal appeal, what tools would be needed to make one, hot to choose stones, crafting the pendulum and so much more.
In "Cleansing" she looks at taking either your finished product or the item you purchased and clearing it to make way for your own personal energies. In "Dedication to the Light" she speaks of how to dedicate your new took to it's ultimate purpose and to your own personal Deities or "Be-ings of the Highest Light". What is nice is that this book crosses all paths. Diane Stein, while known for her own choice of spirituality, has always left the choice of spirituality open to the reader. However, she does go into her own beliefs and this makes for some very interesting reading.
The "Meditative State" covers working in meditation with the pendulum. She gives instruction for achieving a meditative state, working with your "Be-ings of the Highest Light" to learn how to handle this new tool. She gives some practical advice for working in your own private environment, and gives some very lovely meditations to use.
"How to Use a Pendulum" is a very practical guide to working with your new tool and its applications. Ms. Stein explains throughout the whole book that this can be used as a very simple "yes or no" tool, and she shows (in diagrams) how to determine how your "Be-ings of the Highest Light" are speaking to you through this tool, how to ask questions (a whole chapter to itself), and what to do if you are having problems with the tool (again, a whole chapter called "Troubleshooting"). Directions are clear, she explains very patiently and works through the processes in easy to understand language.
There is a section called "Using Charts" which expands the use of the pendulum further than the "yes or no" basics. She presents idea, directions and charts to use your pendulum with diagrams (some provided) and she includes her own "Fan Charts" to give you ideas on expanding your own limits and the use of the pendulum.
There is also a chapter on "Healing with Pendulums" which explains using these pendulums with Reiki, psychic healing, and again includes one of her "Fan Charts" to expand on the subject.
A very valuable note here, the chapter on healing opens with some excellent discussion on "legalities and ethics". She discusses some very important issues regarding healing and not being a medical doctor, and she also discusses being a "spiritual counselor" and how to obtain proper credentials and suggests organizations who offer training. She also discusses ethics. This is a wonderful start to a chapter that, if you have some of her other books on healing, you know she is always considering the welfare of the client and our roll and responsibility to our clients.
There are charts for correlations of stones to Chakras, a short discussion on Chakras and a diagram of the Chakra points and their meanings. She includes a Chakra assessment exercise, and some other exercises in psychic healing and stones.
The final chapter "Pendulums and Karmic Release" deals with Ms. Stein's personal path and her ideas on Karma and it's involvement in our lives. She discusses her association with the Goddesses, the "Lords of Karma" and how this is all involved in the processes she has described in the book. Again, it may not be your personal path, and you can skip this if you wish, but it Is interesting reading and it does directly relate to how Ms. Stein works in her own healing and spiritual practices.
There is a "Suggested Reading" list at the end of the book, and the book is indexed for quick reference.
This is a lovely book on the pendulum and its use, for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. It contains a lot of information, is well put together, crosses the boundaries of spiritual belief and practices and would make a nice addition to any home library. boudica
Excellent Resource For Those Frustrated By Pendulums.......2004-12-30
According to author Diane Stein, pendulums can be used for just about anything: finding lost objects, energy diagnostics, job selection, locating a place to live, driving directions, healing, and even karma clearing.
Pendulum use is a form of dowsing that has been used for thousands of years for purposes such as divination, water and mine location, and even for war strategy. In her newest book Pendulums And The Light - Communication With The Goddess, the author explains how to attain a high rate of accuracy in using pendulums. If pendulums have proved frustrating to you, a wealth of remedies are provided for optimizing your dowsing experience. Maintaining that pendulums work via a fragile system of thought, neuromusculature, and partnership with a Light Being, Stein stressed the importance of a still and focused mind--which is greatly enhanced by meditation.
Keeping the pendulum energetically cleared (and making sure it's cleared), dedicating it to a Light Being, practicing mental focus, learning how to discern "yes" and "no" responses, and dowsing in quietude are some of the ways to get the most out of your pendulum experience. Stein gives detailed information on each of these recommendations and also provides a thorough troubleshooting section--addressing 25 different reasons why a pendulum may not work. In fact, she believes observing and applying the information in Pendulums And The Light will result in 95% accuracy with your pendulum for most types of requests, even psychic readings. When asking about the future--something quite tricky with pendulums--she estimates 75% accuracy after employing her suggestions.
Pendulums can be as simple as a button on a string, and Stein dedicates an entire chapter on making and buying pendulums--including what materials make the best conductors of energy. There are also chapters on cleansing your pendulum, dedication to the Light, how to ask questions, using charts, healing, and more.
This book provides practical guidance on getting the most out of your pendulum. Stein's sage advice has helped me figure out some of my own difficulties with pendulum use (including trying to dowse with a 6 year old running around!). There is extensive, immediately useful information in this book.
However, there are a few minor irritations that I have with this book.
The full title of this book is Pendulums And The Light - Communication With The Goddess. Stein does mention working with the goddess that has "joined" with her--Brede--but there is little explanation for some of her statements. For example, according to Stein, goddesses are just now arriving on Earth (?!), and if you connect with 38 or more DNA strands, a god or goddess will join with you as Brede has done with her. She also describes how Brede loves chocolate and loves to shop. One time, Stein walked out of a store with over $40 worth of candles--all because Brede requested them.
Now, I don't actively work with particular goddesses, and I don't mean to offend anyone who does, but the whole idea seemed bizarre to me...especially as Stein goes on and on about Brede. Rather than a goddess, she appears (in print) as a parasite or even a dependent child. I'd much rather have heard about the different goddess energies out there, why Stein believes many aren't here now, and what exactly she believes that goddesses are, how to find one that best matches your personality and purposes, etc. Stein mentions, quite a few times, that further information can be found in her other books, but it seems to me that this book would just have been better off without the extra information about Brede.
Also--and this criticism isn't just about Stein's book--I get the impression that many pendulists use a pendulum for everything. Want to know which book to buy at the store? Use a pendulum. Want to determine which cucumber to buy at the store? (one of the examples used in the book!)...use a pendulum. Want to determine what time the plumber is coming? Use a pendulum. I can't help but have thoughts like "Good grief, why can't you people just use your brain and realize some things don't have to be known...that there are more important things in life than which tangerine to pick in the produce aisle!" I also can't figure out why someone would go to such great lengths to use a tempermental tool when they could just develop their 6th sense (like clairvoyance, for example).
Also, Stein speaks of the "Lords of Karma", Mother Nada, the Divine Director, and a whole host of players in a spiritual hierarchy. I couldn't help but think "OK, so why is this information in this book?" (especially if it's in her other books). I also couldn't help but be confused by the sci-fi-like creatures, the mention of different levels like solar system, galactic, and cosmic--and how to clear karma from these levels. For those who haven't read any of Stein's previous books, this information seems confusing and unnecessary to the subject matter.
Those familiar with Stein's work--and those who have an interest in her Essential Energy Balance techniques--will no doubt love this book. And besides those few niggling irritations I mentioned, I have to say that this is the best book I've come across so far for teaching an individual how to select and use a pendulum. The troubleshooting guide is unsurpassed, and will likely empower and encouraged those who have previously been frustrated with pendulum use.

This book ("by popular request" really) contains the teachings in response to the kind of questions one asks only after one stops being afraid of the answers.
Amarananda Bhairavan is the conduit for his aunt Preema's unadulterated wisdom. There is no fashionable or slick feel-good stuff, nothing one could tweak into a foundation for a (pseudo-) spiritual empire.
I guess, when you read this review/opinion, you must have been led here and probably are ready to receive the gifts and blessings offered in this rare source of knowledge and inspiration.
Beyond Expectations.......2007-04-28
Being an avid lover of Kali's Odiyya by Amarananda Bhairavan, the bar was held high as I dove into his second book Medicine of Light. It was beyond my expectations. For the second time, I have found incredible engagement and excitement from the story line and heart-opening gratitude for the body of knowledge embedded in this story. This is the kind of knowledge that is not offered in seminars or weekend courses. Even if you set out to look for it, it is a rare find. This book along with Kali's Odiyya will be my most turned to for reference on Karma, herb medicine, Goddess worship and devotion. But beyond all that, it carries the medicine we all need. Deep humility and Love.

Protection 101.......2005-06-06
I am a pragmatic individual, not into magical or unseen things, but after I was attuned through Reiki 3, I found that there is a need for protection and grounding against negative energy and those that would drain or use you. An interesting read, I found the exercises and advice extremely helpful. Whether you believe in things unseen or not, it is essential to psychically protect your family and yourself from outside negative influences, energy and evil. This book is a positive tool for change and empowerment.
Great material!.......2005-04-08
This book was a Goddess send. It helped me so much dealing with negative people and influences. I recommend to anyone who has alot of these issues and cannot figure out why? This book has some really good material that was very helpful to me. Very helpful I cannot believe the changes it has made for me.
Open Your Mind - Experience Bliss.......2004-06-21
Ms. Stein's Essential Energy Balancing Process is fantastic. I was skeptical at first, but went into the process with an open mind and heart. The energy shift I experienced during the process and for a long time afterwards was like nothing I have ever felt. The incredible joy and release that accompanied the process is well worth the work to learn. All I can say is, don't knock it until you've really, TRULY tried it. And remember, even if you THINK you're open, if you aren't really, you won't experience a darn thing. That is not Ms. Stein's fault - that is your own. She gave you a divinely inspired tool. Use it. This book is not optional, but mandatory reading (as are all the Energy Balancing books) for personal/spiritual growth and enlightenment. It is probably impossible to describe the beauty of its affects - you really just have to experience it for yourself.
How to identify negative interference in lives.......2001-10-12
Blend a coverage of psychic protection plans with an overview of how to heal through psychic energy and you have Diane Stein's Reliance On The Light, a title which will appeal to both healers and lay readers. Chapters tell how to identify negative interference in lives and how to psychically protect oneself.

One Night With a Goddess.......2007-09-19
This is a witty, modern-day mythical tale of one Muse, Chloe, who's amusing and will have you turning pages. Judi McCoy proves you can mix business with pleasure - - but what about love with immortality?
Hmm did I read the same book?.......2007-09-03
I picked up this book because of all the good reviews but after 2 grueling nights, I had to store it away in the cabinet of my library. I didn't even finish it! I really hate not being able to finish a book and I absolutely love mythologies too!
I found that the plot was quite boring and weren't even funny. I was seriously searching for the humor but couldn't find it. Maybe I read the wrong book? Or maybe my idea of humor is just different then everyone else's. Now novels by Susan E Phillips, Judith McNaught and Julie Garwood's historical were funny but not this one.
Well at least I gave it a try.
Lukewarm at Best!.......2007-09-03
"100-Year Performance Assessment
Position: Chloe, Muse of Happiness
Evaluated by: MIGHTY ZEUS, President, CEO, Top God
PROS: A confident muse with a can-do attitude.
CONS: Not living up to potential as a muse."
Zeus drops Chloe (and her 2 sisters, addressed in books 1 and 3 of this series)on Earth and gives them a year to live up to their name, or be forever condemned as slaves to the other gods and goddesses on Mt. Olympus. I was really looking forward to reading this series. It has the potential of being a great read but just didn't measure up for me.
I don't know where other folks are getting their laughs from but I honestly didn't see any. I kept expecting light warm comedy and laughs with the spice of love and romance; sort of like "Bewitched" or "I Dream Of Jeannie" if you will. For me however, it just wasn't there. There could have been all kinds of incidents and moments, given you have a mortal and a goddess interacting, but there were none. Chloe was stand offish and Matt was defensive and suspicious till almost the end.
Matt, a Doctor, and Chloe's designated male attraction of this story, returns home from overseas where he has worked literally in the wild helping people through the "Doctor's Without Borders" program. During an incident where he defended a child, Matt received several wounds, some of which are on his face. One of the first things Chloe says to him during their initial meeting is "You really should see a plastic surgeon for those," something that just left me turned off, especially given that she has this perfect body of a goddess which could intimidate even the best of looks.
A lot or reviews said "Entertaining, fun, amusing, must read!" I would like to know where. There were no jokes, no pranks, no fun, not even sparks between Matt and Chloe. I kind of felt like maybe I was reading something different from everyone else here.
Having just finished Stephanie Rowe's "Must Love Dragons," "Date Me, Baby, One More Time," and "He Loves Me He Loves Me Hot," I was hoping to read something similar here with McCoy. And I thought maybe that was the problem: if I hadn't read Rowe's series first, maybe I would have enjoyed this series more. But I can honestly say I wouldn't have. It is a well written story and an OK read, and obviously some folks are enjoying it, but for a read that does measure up to "fun, amusing, must read, entertaining" my recommendation would be to put your time and money on Stephanie Rowe's series!
One Night With A Goddess.......2007-09-02
Chloe Degodessa and her sisters Kyra and Zoe have been sent to earth
for one year by their father Zeus to make a difference in the world of
mortals. Chloe is the Muse of Happiness. If she fails at her task she
will be stuck on earth rather than return to Mount Olympus.
Ten months later, Chloe is working as a wedding and party planner for
Isabelle Castleberry at Castleberry Hall. Things are going smoothly
for her until she meets Miss Belle's grandson, handsome but
aggravating Dr. Matthew Castleberry.
Matt is suspicious of Chloe's motives and interrogates her at every
turn. Suspicion becomes attraction swiftly though and Matt can't deny
how he feels for Chloe any longer. Chloe is falling for Matt as well
but one of Zeus' rules forbids her to fall in love with a mortal.
One Night With A Goddess has a great storyline. Matt is sexy, Chloe is
flawless as well Belle and her friend Ruby are sweethearts as well.
Because of what Matt doesn't know, there is a lack of closure at the
end.

One more night, please!.......2007-08-09
Judi's books are always a pleasure! Chloe is fun and spunky- a goddess with faults we could all relate to.
Pick up One Night With a Goddess, and spend a day at the beach or by the pool in pleasure.
Thanks, Judi.
