Customer Reviews:
GREAT BOOK! .......2007-09-26
This book was great. It made me cry, it was a very refreshing look at the life and death of a dog. Great. I highly recommend this book to anyone who believes the love remeans. People who do not have any animals or have every really loved an animal can not relate to how we feel when one dies, but this book hit the nail on the head. It can not bring my dog back but it helped my move on and open my heart for a new little friend. LOVED IT.....
Great little book.......2007-08-25
I ordered this book shortly after losing our beloved dog, of twelve years. It warmed my heart and made me cry . After reading it both my husband and I realized that even though our forever dog was gone. She would always live in our hearts. I also gave this sweet little book to a close friend that lost her dog soon after I did. She loved it too. Also it's a great little book for a new dog owner as well.
Cute book for anyone who has lost a pet.......2007-08-23
I recently lost my pet and I knew someone who went through this also. After I read this little book I knew they would love it.
good for kids or parents of their 'forever dog'.......2007-08-16
I am a 30 year old pet mother, and I bought this book when Marley, our 13 year old lab mutt died, I bought it for my daugter, whose 5. She liked it, but it really lovely for anyone who truly loves their animal of any age, it made me bawl and bawl with happiness. A truely lovely book, and out of all the dog grief books I bought, this one was the best!
Children's Book.......2007-08-11
I was disappointed. This is a children's book and should be classified as such.

Introduction to Divine Guidance from Spirit Guides (Including Angels).......2007-09-16
*****
This book by Sonia Choquette was a very unusual one for me to read; I am a novice at things like angels, spirit guides, and other divine messengers. I found this book gentle, easy to understand, and a great comprehensive introduction to the various types of spiritual beings. The author also covered things like FAQs about spirit guides, how to prepare to contact spirit guides, names of (and naming) spirit guides, and so much more. It also covered issues such as common objections or problems when beginning to learn about this area, such as negative entities, and myths about spirit guides.
It definitely is a New Age book, but a very grounded and very helpful one. The author is so sincere and approachable that I felt as though I was having a trusted friend explain things to me in a way I could understand.
I would think that everyone who was open would find something to learn here, but I can say for certain that beginners will understand and be as comfortable as one can be with this area when learning about it for the first time.
I enjoyed and felt comfortable by "Ask Your Guides" and would highly recommend it.

Clear, engaging reading........2007-09-05
Insightful, and interesting, regardless of your belief in the underlying priciples behind the psychology on the surface.
Wonderful Resource.......2007-08-22
I thoroughly enjoyed reading `Ask your Guides' by Sonia Choquette.
Sonia has an enjoyable style of writing which is light, balanced and full of examples to demonstrate the information being presented.
The structure of this book gives clear and concise explanations of the different types of spirit and guides in each chapter, and exercises for the reader at the end of each chapter to practise on the topic just read about (which I had good results with).
A wonderful book to begin connecting to spirit and guide energy, and taking it further to utilise the support and guidance they offer to us.
This is a wonderful resource that Im sure I will refer to many times in the future.
Ask your Guides.......2007-07-12
This is a great book to learn about your spirit guides. I have bought several of these books to give away a gifts. I have used the information to help my mother who has negitive spirits around her. I reccomend this book highly!
life changing stuff.......2007-06-06
This is a transforming and empowering work and it has opened up my life in so many ways! I am so
grateful and the joy that has been brought into my world since reading and rereading this book cannot be completely expressed. I have recommended it to many people and I hope it touches them in the way it has me.
Book Description
In its mother's womb, a tiny baby grows, explores the waters, and talks with the angel who is there.
These gentle illustrations and wise words tell the story of that baby and the angel in the waters . . . a story that delights all children, because the journey from conception to birth is their story, too.
Customer Reviews:
Great as expected!.......2007-09-20
It is refreshing to have such a sensitive and special approach to the dignity and magesty of the unborn child in the womb. The pictures are sensitivly-warm and beautifully done and at the end of the book you end up saying I do believe in angles, I do belive in angels....

Touching story of a child's life from conception to birth.......2007-05-15
This story presents the touching story of a child's life from conception to birth and beyond. The illustrations are magnificent. The story of an angel accompanying the child on its journey from womb to world is beautiful. This book is a must-read for all children, especially since it will help teach them that life is sacred and begins at conception.
Beautiful Book! Perfect for expectant parents.......2007-05-15
I got this book for my 2 year old when I was 5 months along with my second child. The story is perfect for little ones as it is written in a simple style that is easy to understand. I feel it has helped her comprehend what is happening in mommy's tummy and how a baby grows and is born. She loves it and never fails to point out her baby sister in the pictures. The only warning I have for parents is that it might make you cry the first time you read it, it is so poignant.
Spiritual musings from a baby.......2007-05-14
I just love this book. I am a baby nurse and one of the new Daddies told me about it and ever since I have given it to all the new mothers I know and they love it. If you always knew babies were from heaven, this will reinforce that belief. Enjoy, all you new mommies.
AWESOME!!!.......2007-03-17
I would buy this for all of my children. I absolutely LOVE this book. It is beautifully written. It is an awesome way to explain pregnancy to older children, and even inquisitive children. There are some religious undertones to it, though.

It'll bring a smile to your face and heart! :)
What a Lovely Book!.......2006-11-25
I bought it more than a year ago after the passing of my beloved kitty/soul-mate Princess. It is such a sweet comforting book -- like Princess, this book is small but brimming over with Love.
It's been more than a year since Miss P left me, but whenever I look thru this book I still get tears in my eyes!
Just Perfect.......2006-11-10
When I lost my cat- I was unable to discuss the loss with any degree of detachment. But I needed to be able to explain my kitty being gone to my young nieces who had also loved her. A book was the only solution. If I could read them something and show them pictures, they could have the loss explained and feel comforted by it. Well, not all books are created equal, especially in the "dealing with grief/loss/separation" category. But For Every Cat an Angel was absolutely perfect. The drawings were sweet and whimsical, and the spiritual fairy tale of the cat's angelic passage into life and into death was lovely and moving. Both comforting and a tear-jerker. Hey, and if you can't read it without bawling, you can always give it to the child and have them read it and/or look at the pictures. You just fill in the blanks afterwards! Imagine the relief of this over-emotional Auntie knowing she didn't have to sob all over the poor kids while explaining where the kitty went. Whew! Thank you to author/illustrator Christine Davis, what a perfect book.
For Every Cat an Angel.......2006-08-03
I had originally read "For Every Dog an Angel" and saw that it came in an equally loving Cat version, so when my brother's cat of 18 years crossed over, I just had to send his family this story as a consolation book...just perfect.

Can't read it enough.......2007-09-11
I first borrowed this book from the library and then had to have my own copy. I've read it at least 4 times. I use it as a refresher. Doreen Virtue's book is a very clear, easy to understand guide to the angelic realm and how easy it is to open up clear communication channels with God and your angels. She explains the spiritual realm, the four clairs: clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience and claircognizance, and shows you how to strengthen your clairs, your Divine guidance communication channels: seeing, hearing, feeling and knowing, respectively. There are easy meditations and exercises to do, too. And she gives real-life examples of how the clairs have worked in other people's lives. My only recommendation if you get the book and use the meditations is do some grounding or deepening induction before the meditation, because she goes right into the meditation without doing that. The messages that she makes clear in the book are that your angels are all around waiting to help you; all you have to do is ask and that we all have the ability to receive Divine Guidance and are worthy of it.
Subtlely deceptive.......2006-08-15
It's hard not to like Doreen Virtue and all she talks about. She talks of many uplifting things. But then she downplays the role of Christ in the world. He is put at the status level of Ghandi and Buddha! Christians understand that this is a great falsehood.
So even though some good comes of following Doreen, her Source is not Christian angels and Christ. If you keep reading her stuff you'll be getting help from fairies, unicorns and angels instead of God himself. You decide if that's who you want to set your faith in.
As I said I like the woman and enjoyed her books I read, but after much soul searching I realized I was subtlely being brainwashed into putting my faith in the wrong things. So I must give the book one star because it's the only option available.
Incredible.......2005-12-24
Out of all the religious/spiritual books I've read in the last nine years, this is one of my favorites. I read the book from the local library and plan on buying it soon. I can't wait to read the follow up book Divine Prescriptions.
A Very Helpful Book.......2005-07-07
As a long-time teacher of mediumship, I hadn't found a book to recommend to my students that truly helped them to understand how Spirit delivers messages. Doreen's book clarifies the different ways of receiving messages from the world of Spirit and makes it easier for the first-time student to understand the process of Spirit communication. Although Doreen and I differ about our approaches to who is speaking from Spirit, this book is full of concrete examples, lessons, and ideas for any spiritual seeker to use. I now recommend this book to all my students and clients who want to read about Spirit communication and who are interested in experiencing it for themselves.
GREAT BOOK!.......2004-06-16
Dr. Virtue explains everything so clearly with plenty of examples that anyone can identify with. This book is easy reading, and helps you feel like it truely is easy to get your Divine Connection to God and your Angels. Doreen also includes explainations of the 4 different "Clairs" with meditations, prayer examples, and exercises so that as you are reading, you are given opportunities to learn ways that will help you to develope and open your channels to divine communication. You easily get the jist of what the exersizes do - and you can continue to practice these exercises with other books, magazines, or with other friends. This book also teaches manifesting/co-creating with God. If you have purchased her "Manifesting with the Angels" CD, you will notice that what she writes in her book "Divine Guidance" is practically identical.
This is truely an easy to understand book, and I definately recommend it to anyone who is curious about God and the Angels, and I definately recommend it to anyone looking to get their connection to the light.
Other great books are The Anatomy of the Spirit by Caroline Myss, Conversations with God by Neale Walsh, The 72 Names of God by Yehudah Berg, and Blessings from Above - Cassettes from Gary Spivey garyspivey.com.

So inspirational.......2007-04-07
This book is great for children and adults alike. It provides comfort in reflecting the truth of our being and purpose here on this Earth. I highly reccommend it to anyone who is interested in the enlightened approach to spirituality.
I'd give it 10 STARS!.......2007-03-23
This book is an absolute MUST if you have children or grandchildren.
I have been exposed to Mr. Walsch's work over on over, and love it. However this book is trully written in an amazing way, that if I'd have to explain to my 3 year old where she comes from and what happend etc...I'd be lost for words! Its a MUST book together with the "Little soul and the Sun"
Teach your Children Well.......2007-02-19
I only regret one thing, that I did not have this treasure book when I rreaised my oldest children. It is a critically required perspective that all children should have to live an abundant and happy life.

Book Description
New York Times bestselling author Julie Garwood takes breathless sensuality to thrilling heights in this unforgettable adventure of passion and intrigue.
The Emerald flew across the seas, carrying the pirate Pagan -- despised by the ton, whose riches he plundered, and beloved by the poor, whose plight was eased by his gifts.
The Marquess of Cainewood vows to hunt down the pirate wretch in revenge for his brother's death. But when Jade, an enchanting vision of rippling red hair and eyes of jewel-green, appears at his door to beg desperately for his protection, the Marquess agrees to keep her safe from the villains who want her dead. Jade is infuriating, exasperating, and gorgeous; Caine is noble, strong-willed, and powerful. No woman has ever befuddled him so, nor so deeply aroused his desire. But as Jade answers his knowing caresses with an innocent, wild abandon, they are drawn into a web of treachery that will test the very heart of their love!
Customer Reviews:
A Good Story.......2006-12-03
This is the 2nd book in a series, The Lion's Lady is the first. You can read this book on it's own, but it does visit the characters from the previous book. This was a reread for me. It's not my favorite Julie Garwood book, but I still think it is really good. I enjoy it everytime I read it.
The Marquess of Cainewood (Caine) is on a mission to trap a Pirate. He is masquerading as his enemy, the Pirate Pagan, at a local watering hole. He is hoping that his deception will lure the REAL Pagan to him. Caine wants to kill Pagan, as he has been told that the Pirate is responsible for his younger brothers recent death.
In walks Jade. She is beautiful and certaintly doesn't belong in this bar. She walks up to Caine and asks if he is Pagan. When he says yes she has a strange request.
Caine is intrigued.
To tell you more would spoil some surprises.
This is a good read. The "mystery" parts dragged a bit for me, but I think the wit and loveability of the characters more than make up for it.
It's fun to see how Jade and Caine work together. They compliment eachother well. She is clever, quirky and a little unusual. He is steady and logical, but Jade brings out a lighter side in him. He handles her insecurities beautifully.
Stop whispering already!.......2006-08-11
For all the descriptions of Jade's independence, clever mind, and pirate bravery she sure whispered a lot. It became abundantly clear Garwood wanted to show Jade in a more tender and subservient manner whenever she was around Caine, because fully half of her statements or questions are followed by "...whispered Jade" even when whispering wasn't necessary or scene-enhancing. It became very annoying to read so many of Jade's lines as whispers.
Contrary to other reviewers I don't think Caine was unnecessarily short-tempered around Jade at all; if anything, he started using too many endearments early on in their relationship and was very patient with her frustrating prattle and lies! (How would you react when you learned your newfound lady love was responsible for burning down your stables?!)
I gave this book three stars because the plot was somewhat entertaining, although saving the big "damsel in distress" scene for the very last few pages of the book made it read like an afterthought. I just "inherited" several Julie Garwood books and I must say, based on Guardian Angel, I'm not overly anxious to read any of her other work (but I will, of course!).
Faboulus..........2006-04-22
Caine the sexy and strong hero is looking for the pirate Pagan one night when this women who he thought was an angel from heaven her beauty walks in and asks him for shocking favored..
Jade the red hair and green eyes beauty walks in to finds Caine there. Jade knew he was going to be there and there was a strong reason she went looking for him. She ask him to do something incredible to her but it was a lie she made up so she could safe his life.
Caine who takes Jade as a refugee he thinks his saving from someone that want to kill her didn't Know that he was the one who was being saved. As this two characters spend more time together they start falling in love with each other and they have wild and passionate nights together. This two characters are extremely likeable and are hard to forget even after you finish reading the story.
This is a magnificant story and the first i read from this author, and it wont be my last. It's a well written story and makes you laugh your. This is a book YOU WANT TO READ. Believe me.
Not impressed..........2006-01-31
I am a big Judith McNaught fan and was told to try Julie Garwood because her novels are just as good. I bought Guardian Angel, Ransom and The Bride and decided to give Guardian Angel a whirl first because I like Regency-era romances. Caine, the Marquess of Cainewood, is after a pirate that goes by the name of the Pagan -- a Robin Hood-like ruffian who steals from the rich to help the poor. Caine wants to avenge the death of his brother and will do anything to capture and kill the pirate. He has a plan to pass off as the Pagan in order to anger him and have him expose himself. But when a beautiful and spirited young woman called Jade walks into his life, paying him silver coins to have him kill her, his life isn't the same. Before he knows it, his life becomes a shambles with a great deal of political intrigue and treachery from the woman he vows to protect. There are various twists throughout the novel.
At first, I thought this novel would be a riveting read full of romance and adventure. I also loved the whole pirate angle. Pirates are sexy. Robin Hood types are sexy. Protective and possessive alpha males are sexy. So why am I disappointed? Political aspects monopolized the plot. It takes away from everything else that is supposed to be important in the story, including the romance. Yes, there are plenty of romantic scenes between Caine and Jade, most of which center on a power struggle over each other. I like Jade and her no-nonsense, rebellious and independent personality. While not totally believable given the time frame, she is a breath of fresh air because she is no ninny. That is, of course, until Caine tries to break her spirit at all cost. Caine annoyed me to no end. He is too moody and bossy for my taste. He tries to be the proverbial alpha male, but comes out as someone with a personality disorder instead. His abrupt mood changes from seductive and amused to angry and domineering irritated me. It's a good thing Jade doesn't always put up with him. I know the whole purpose to the story is that he isn't used to someone like Jade, but still -- ugh! I would've liked to read more about piracy and the Pagan himself than see how Caine tries to turn Jade into an "yes, sir" woman. I noticed that this is the spin-off of a previous novel based on the characters Lyon and Christina. From what I read about these characters, I don't think I want to try reading their story. Alas, I was underwhelmed with Garwood and Guardian Angel. I will give the author another shot because I've heard her work is wonderful. I hope I have better luck next time.
Needs less political intrigue, more romance please.......2005-11-04
The year is 1815 and we are introduced to Caine, the Marquess of Cainewood. A government spy on the hunt for the infamous pirate Pagan, whom he assumes killed his brother Colin, Caine is at his usual haunt at a seedy pub in the slums of London where he hopes to catch the pirate, when in walks a beautiful woman who dumps a bag of silver in his lap in exchange for the most outrageous and unheard of request that he has ever heard - for him to murder her. Yet unbeknown to him, Jade has come to him under the pretext of being in grave danger, and Caine is unaware that his hunt for Pagan has reached its end.
When Caine takes Jade under his protection, little does he know what a merry chase he would be involved in, for along with trying to protect Jade from her "would-be" attackers, he finds himself being driven demented by the woman who is quickly stealing his heart. Jade, on the other hand, is learning more things about Caine that was never included in his official government file, things that render her heart vulnerable for the first time in her life. But she knows that she must protect her heart or risk getting hurt by Caine's hatred once he learns of her true identity.
With espionage, piracy and betrayal, one would expect an action-packed roller-coaster ride while reading this novel. Unfortunately, this falls a little short of the expectations. The tangled political intrigue is one that's enough to put a reader off the story - leaving you confused and distracted from the romance between the main characters. As for Caine and Jade, both are likable enough, though I didn't find them as endearing or memorable as other Garwood characters. I feel that more emphasis should have been given on developing the relationship between them. But I did enjoy some of the banter between them, and also laughed at some of the supporting characters (notably Caine's butler and Uncle Harry), and I loved the fact that the hero isn't afraid to declare his love for the heroine. That, for me, is the most wonderful aspect of the book, though these weren't enough to sustain the excitement to make me not want to put the book down.
Overall, GUARDIAN ANGEL didn't leave a lasting impression on me. The first book, THE LION'S LADY, is much better than this one.

Book Description
Invite angels into your life They come to our aid when we least expect it, and they disappear as soon as their work is done. Invisible helpers are available to all of us. In fact, we all regularly receive messages from our guardian angels and spirit guides, but usually fail to recognize them. This book will help you to realize when this occurs. And when you carry out the exercises provided, you will be able to communicate freely with both your guardian angels and spirit guides.

this book is great.......2006-04-18
this book is fantasic...and goes into detail....all I can say is buy this book you will not be sorry.....
Pretty good.......2006-03-03
It was a good book, a lot of information, but not quite the kind of information I was looking for. I'm going to try Doreen Virtue's books to see if I can find more detailed and specific information.
Good book.......2005-11-10
I like this book, it's a big book all devoted to spirit guides and guardian angels, LOTS of usefull information is covered in this book, I read it 4 times so far and it's not boring yet, it's the type of book you want to look over when times are tough. It's a good buy for the price.
Angelic Delight...............2002-08-18
i enjoyed this book tremendously. i read it straight thru..
Webster explains a lot about Angels (especially the Archangels) and spirit guides. He goes into the differences between Angelic helpers and spirit guides and gives meditation exercises to help put you into contact with both. There is one particular ritual in the book for invoking all 4 Archangels that was absolutely wonderful! It was my first experience in working with the Archangels and i definately felt their presence. It was a pure blessing.
i have read many books on Angels and Spirit Guides and do highly reccommend this one, but if you are a beginner, it may be best to read another book first or familiarize yourself (research) the Archangels first.........
Definately a welcomed source to the Angel section of my library..
It was ok.......2002-01-22
I expected a lot more from this book, all the hype I heard from people about it didn't even compare to how poorly I feel it was put together, some of it was cool and his explainations of letters to your angels etc, but all n all it wasn't worth the buy.sorry I hate leaving bad reviews.

Book Description
THE DESTROYER NEVER DIES . . . .
VIVA LA REVOLUCION!
When a dozen border patrol volunteers are murdered in New Mexico, apparent victims of Mexican nationals, Dr. Harold W. Smith of the super-secret agency CURE worries the first salvo in a new border dispute has been fired. His worst fears are realized with the appearance of the charismatic Santa Ana, a uniformed, would-be despot with a silver tongue and a thirst for bloody revolution.
General Santa Anna has redrawn the border between the U.S. and Mexico to fit his own twisted version of reality, and thousands of illegal aliens are drawn to his message of liberation. The Southwest is on fire, and as the revolution explodes the entire nation is at risk. It seems the brazen general has planned for every eventuality. Except one...
Mostly MIA for the past four years, Remo Williams, CURE's one man enforcement arm, has returned to the U.S. just in time to prevent Armageddon. With his Korean mentor Chiun, the Master of Sinanju, at his side, America just might live to see mañana.
But it turns out Santa Anna is not the only threat to The Destroyer. Remo not only must save the United States from civil war, he must square off against the only woman who ever killed him...
Customer Reviews:
This is the OLD Destroyer!!!!.......2007-08-09
Wooo! He's back - they're ALL back. Remo, Chiun and Smith have returned to the world they were born in - and it's a GREAT world indeed! The characterizations are right, the dialogue is right, the relationships are right. This is the way it's supposed to be.
(I've got ALL the books, read each of them more than once (well... okay, there were a few that I could barely get through once!) and I KNOW when something's right - and when something jumps the track.)
I hope that the series has taken out the "revolving door" of authors for the next several years - or at least find authors that have bothered to read the old books before thinking that their "skills" and "worldly understanding" will get them through!
Great job - keep 'em coming!
Remo, we missed you!.......2007-07-31
Ahhh, it sure feels good to find The Destroyer is back to it's roots. Remo is taking care of business as only he can. Chiun continues to be the most dangerous Korean who has ever lived but still has the childlike qualities that have always made us love him. Smitty is still the proud American bound and determined to save the US from itself and will continue to work at it until his dying day.
In this book you will also find useless self-serving politicians (yes, Virginia, they do exist). You will find out what really happened at the battles of the Alamo and San Jacinto. You will also get the return of one of Remo's most dangerous enemies. You get all of this wrapped up in a very funny, very exciting adventure the likes of which we haven't seen in a Destroyer book in several years.
Do yourself a favor, buy this book. If you are an old fan of the series you will enjoy the return of Warren Murphy and Jim Mullaney to the books. If you have never read a Destroyer before, then this is a great place to start your obsession.
Nothing new here........2007-07-29
I was a reader of The Destroyer from the first novel until the early 80's. I didn't know the series had continued on. Apparently, it was a good thing I didn't keep up with the series.
Well, from my point of veiw, there's nothing new about this 'New' Destroyer. Remo is the Master of Sinanju by title only. Chuin is still there, even though this book makes reference that the two of them met during the Kennedy administration and it is now 2007. I figure this would put Remo somewhere near 70 years old, and Chuin well into his 120's.
Chuin has devolved into a spoiled child. Where he used to insult Remo, he now only plays with toys. He actually _likes_ other assassins, rather than consider them pretenders to the art of killing.
Smith seems about ready to retire though. He's old and arthritic. He works fewer hours, and has delegated some of his responsibility to an assistant.
I was disappointed in the book. One of the things I liked reading the series for was the growth of Remo. Now that there are two Masters of Sinanju, the book is nothing more than graphic descriptions of how the Whop-Fu took effect. There is one scene where Remo casually rips the door off a Panic Room. He's already able to dodge bullets, and in several instances, he took the full brunt of a missile, or TNT and walked out without a scratch. So, essentially, the two heroes are all powerful and invincible.
I was hoping that Chuin was gone, or retiring, and that Remo had taken on a student to replace him. That would have breathed new life into the series for sure.
Don't get a copy.
DESTROYER IS A FUN SUMMER READ!.......2007-07-16
My first exposure to The Destroyer was in the 1980's with the movie Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. While not a good movie I was very entertained by the characters of Remo and Chuin and their camaraderie. That said I read several Destroyer novels throughout my teens and then life moved on.
On a whim at a bookstore this summer I saw New Destroyer: Guardian Angel and decided to give it a read. I'm glad I did. The characters are firmly intact and creator Warren Murphy and new scribe James Mullaney do a fantastic job of reinvigorating the series.
For anyone new to the series, it's easy to jump on. Remo and his mentor Chuin are master assassins in the art of Sinanju. They work for CURE a secret branch of the government that deals with impending perils to our country. In this novel the dangers come from a militant group that want to create new borders and countries between the US and Mexico. Remo and Chuin are called on to defend the Alamo, stop a ruthless female killer, prevent illegal aliens from causing lots of trouble, and so much more.
For summer time reading it's a blast. If you're familiar with the characters give it a read because you'll find in doubly enjoyable!
