Book Description
The story of the most dangerous triple–agent in US history, by intrepid investigative reporter Peter Lance.
Peter Lance, author of the highly acclaimed 1000 Years for Revenge and Cover Up, returns to uncover the story of Ali Mohamed–a trusted security advisor of Osama bin Laden who hoodwinked the United States for more than a decade. As Lance reveals for this first time, this one man served in a series of high–security position within the United States security establishment–as a Special Forces advisor, FBI informant, and CIA operative–while simultaneously helping orchestrate the al Qaeda campaign of terror that led to 9/11.
In October 2000, after tricking three U.S. intelligence agencies for almost two decades, Ali Mohamed appeared in handcuffs and a blue prison jumpsuit in a Federal District courtroom on Manhattan's Lower East Side, where he pleaded guilty five times. His crimes included brokering terror summits, financing an attack on two Black Hawk helicopters, training jihadis in improvised bomb building and the creation of secret cells. And yet for decades Mohamed had lived the life of a Silicon Valley computer executive. How did this evildoer move in and out of and around the U.S.? How did he become a naturalized citizen, marry an American woman and infiltrate three of America's top intelligence agencies–the CIA, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the FBI? With utter complacence, ruthlessness, and ease, and with no small amount of oversight from the outflanked U.S. intelligence community.
From the Able Danger scandal of the Clinton Administration to today's CIA Leakgate, Mohamed appears at nearly every crucial turn of America's terror probes. An important final piece to the 9/11 investigation, Triple Cross penetrates Mohamed's secret past and the dark reaches of Al Qaeda to reveal the danger that still threatens America–and the staggering errors of America's homeland security.

Triple Cross by Peter Lance.......2007-09-06
Triple Cross is scary when you realize the government
cover ups which could have stopped 9/11. The work done
by Peter Lance to uncover these facts is amazing.
Outstanding Work.......2007-07-05
Peter Lance has produced a magnificent book. His work needs to be followed up by multiple congessional committees and numerous on air investigative reports. Patrick Fitzgerald, Jack Cloonan, Dietrick Snell, and other highranking DOJ and FBI officials must testify under oath in primetime on national television. Peter Lance should be the lead investigator for the hearing. Americans have no idea the scope of the war against alqaeda. this is much older than 9/11. We have been at war with them since 1989.
I-49, Alec Station and Able Danger need to throughly examined for their inability to connect the dots before 9/11. I-49 was the FBI-DOJ BinLaden taskforce run by Patrick Fitzgerald. Alec Station was the CIA's BinLaden group. Able Danger was the Pentagons data-mining operation that linked Ali Mohammed (top alqeada spy linked with all major cells in the world and the US), Mohammed Atta (lead hijacker on 9/11), Ramzi Yousef (1st WTC bomber and, airliner bombing plots), Egyptian Islamic Jihad Cleric Sheik Abdul Rahman, and Osama BinLaden.
This book proves that the FBI cannot fight terrorism
we need to copy the british domestic intelligence service, MI5.
WE NEED TO HAVE ANSWERS. THIS BOOK IS A GREAT FIRST STEP... MUCH MORE WORK NEEDS TO BE DONE. HIGH RANKING OFFICIALS HAVE A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO...

TRIPLE CROSS OUTLINES HOW BIN LADENS MASTER SPY PENETRATED THE CIA
THE GREEN BERETS AND THE FBI AND WHY PATRICK FITZGERALS ASSISTANT US ATTORNEY FAILED TO STOPHIM. THE NAME OF THIS MASTER SPY OR AT LEAST THE LATEST NAME IS ALI MOHAMED. HE REMAINS IN CUSTODIAL WITNESS PROTECTION AS FAR AS ABOUT A YEAR AGO.
communication breakdown.......2007-05-13
Convincing me that information gathered by our best intelligence agencies and personnel we Americans trust in the security of our great country could be such idiots is truly scary. What a fantastic insite into not only how these agencies work but who is able to "work" them.
The real story!.......2007-03-22
This is the best of many books written in the aftermath of 9/11 because it ties up many loose ends of earlier books as more information has become available. Whether right or left, everyone should value this book, and no one will ever again wonder whether anyone in the government knew or should have known about it before it happened. Although no one should consider this a "hit" piece on the government, Lance provides compelling proof that multiple government officials were either grossly negligent in failing to uncover 9/11 or willfully chose not to investigate matters that would have led them to discover the plot, for their own selfish reasons, for example, to cover up other bad behavior.

I WANT MORE.......2007-10-07
This book has you turning page after page, At first i was mad and upset on how it all began about this little girl growing up into prostitution from her mom and aunt. Her own father took her virginity at the age of 5. How she lived her life after that was a shame but the saying goes "What goes around comes around." I would reccommend this book to anyone. The author knew how to catch her readers attention and have them wanting more after that.
HOT! HOT! HOT!.......2007-10-06
THIS BOOK WAS OFF THE HOOK! I READ IT IN TWO DAYS. CAN'T WAIT TO READ
ANOTHER ONE OF YOUR BOOKS. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP GIRL, GOD IS WATCHING OVER YOU!
Life.......2007-10-03
This was a good book. This book will make you cry and realize how truely blessed you are.
EXCELLENT!!!.......2007-10-01
I just finished this book - in fact I couldn't put it down!!! I finished it in one day, which is a tough task while having to take care of my 2 yr old at the same time.
I didn't have the upbringing that the main character Kamone did, however I can deeply sympathize with what happened to her throughout the book and could only imagine the pain and anguish she endured. I found myself thinking "run!!" or "no, don't do it!" several times while reading this.
It definitely kept me on my toes and I was sad to close it when it was over.
The author, Ms. Lynch does an excellent job of portraying the story of a young girl who really didn't have a chance for a "normal" life, but picked herself up regardless of all the abuse and horrific things that happened to her. Great job!!
I must say, this reading is not for the squeamish or the faint of heart. It is pretty sexually graphic, but nonetheless still a GREAT read!
God is always on time.......2007-09-20
This book gets 10 STARS!!!! I'm speechless! The book had me crying. The author is actually in jail today. I believed that this book was her true story with events being changed to make this book.

Customer Reviews:
If You Want To Get Fluent Fast, Read This Book.......2007-02-20
This book is for interested general consumption rather than a technical practitioners' text book and as such is more than successful in teaching the basics of the triple bottom line. I'm not quite sure why some of the Amazon reviewers seem so testy about this, as the majority of American business management (mid-baby boom and above) never encountered much if anything about corporate responsibility (or ethics) in the curricula they studied on their way up. To consider what that means for concepts like the triple bottom line, pretend that for 25 years today's generation of senior managers had never been told to maximize shareholder value and now in 2007 were expected to internalize the concept and reflexively apply it to everything they do. Particularly from that point of view, Savitz' book is a superb tool to help people become intelligently informed on basic issues of corporate responsibility and sustainability. What individuals do with that is up to that is up to them, but the writing's good, the ideas are clear, the concepts are thought-provoking, and it's the kind of book that drives one to want to learn more. The graphics are particularly useful and uncluttered.
OK as an "Appetizer" not as the "Main Course" for Sustainability.......2007-01-11
While the book's title intrigued me, the amount of coverage in each topic left me hungry for more. As a noted Big Six Consultant, I was sure that Mr. Savitz would have had more to offer, but feel that he fell short. Here are my reasons.
Specifically, his use of specific examples were noteworthy, but the level of detail he provided left me asking more questions than he had answeres for. He also fell short in following through on specific tangental areas, such as describing more about emerging EU directives, as some of his competitors describe in their books.
Other examples include his description of the Maine power company struggle as well as the issues related to Hershey Foods, which could have benefited from more detail and expansive information and then closing with a "lessons learned" to captivate the reader. Perhaps the fault could lie in his choice of a co-author, someone who may be a writer, but is not a subject matter expert - you need someone in that capacity to help pull it all together.
Practical guide for sustainability planning.......2007-01-05
Savitz does a nice job laying the foundation for sustainability thinking in the first part of the book and then provides a "how to" guide in the second part. Almost to a fault for intellectual thinkers the author appears to intentionally avoid complex and underlying theories associated with sustainability concepts. The result is a well written and straight forward practical book rich with examples which makes it easy for just about anyone to read and understand.
Preaching To The Choir.......2006-12-14
The book is divided into two parts -- a lecture on sustainability and then some general things to think about. The book's first half was a lesson to which a reader would have likely already bought into. The second half promises to deliver on "how to make it happen," but really is more general information than meaningful tools.
Given the author's prior work at PricewaterhouseCoopers, it is understandable that the book reads like a macro-level consultant's report. The book could have carried more weight with the inclusion of science and hard numbers of how to actually measure environmental and social value.
An alternative book for readers looking for more solid advice could be "Green to Gold."
Engaging guide to better fiscal, environmental, and social performance........2006-12-11
Sustainability is "the art of doing business in an interdependent world" according to consultant Andrew W. Savitz, who urges companies to focus on the "triple bottom line": solid profit, environmental quality and improved human welfare. Drawing on his experience as head of PricewaterhouseCoopers' sustainability practice, Savitz (writing with Karl Weber) makes a compelling case for moving your business toward "a sustainability sweet spot" where shareholders, environmental interests and other stakeholders can all feel satisfied. Sound like reheated corporate responsibility leftovers? Don't worry. This book offers much more than soft-headed "birdies and butterflies" rhetoric or a few threadbare anecdotes. Savitz marshals truly compelling arguments based on widely accepted demographic, regulatory and cultural trends. Even robber barons will feel the pull of his message, partly because the book is so engaging and well-paced that it reads like a novel, and partly because his prescriptions are so clear, coherent and actionable that they seem like common sense. We highly recommend this sustainability guidebook to those who want to begin the journey on which such companies as Toyota, GE, PepsiCo, Nike and Unilever have already embarked. Bottom line: you can't afford to ignore sustainability.

I thought this book was really a great read. This was a great break out novel for Michael Covington. I do however feel that some parts of the book were very fairytale or hard to believe. But, all in all it was a great fiction novel to read filled with drama and chaos.

Good Read.......2007-10-08
Actually, I ordered this book because I heard it was good but I had my bad impression on it already; I thought it would've been the typical gangsta street stuff. Even though it was, it was actually a good read. Keisha Ervin's writing quality is raw and street and easy to understand. I knew what was going to happen at the ending because like I said, it was a typical storyline but I did like it and I can't wait to read Torn. Peace...

Pretty lame.......2007-09-08
Very long with a lot of eye exercises but nothing really about really increasing comprehension. Didn't help me or my daughter.
Does what it says. . . .......2007-07-20
I am a teacher, and I have been using this book in my classroom. It does, in fact, triple your reading speed without reducing your comprehension.
You should know, though, that this book is not intended to be read cover-to-cover; it's really a set of drills, a full course of speed reading exercises in a book with accompanying instructions, and it may take you weeks to work through it completely and thoroughly (although some people see results much faster). If you take the time, you will almost certainly get the results you want, but you should expect to make an investment. Some of the drills themselves look a little strange--almost like eye charts--because one basic aspect of the book's approach is to change the way your eyes focus as you read. It turns out that these drills do accomplish their purpose and do make you read much faster; it just requires a leap of faith to invest time into the exercises.
Another reviewer quoted the book as saying that you should read faster, then make up for lost time by rereading. Taken out of context, this is a little misleading. The author does suggest that you are better off reading quickly even if you have to reread--because reading slowly is so time-consuming--but he doesn't suggest that you should reread everything all the time.
It seems to me that most positive reviews of this book are from people who treated it as a reading course and did the exercises; most negative reviews of this book are from people who read it from cover to cover looking for descriptions of new speed reading tips or techniques. Buy, or don't buy, accordingly. :)
Disrecommended.......2007-07-04
The cover of the book says that using its method, you will be able to improve your comprehension skills. However, inside the book, you discover that the way you "improve" your comprehension skills is by learning to read quickly and then rereading to make up for the lost comprehension.
So instead of understanding the ideas of what you are reading in the order they are presented, you will learn 15% of the first idea, 15% of the second idea, and 15% of the third idea. And after rereading, you will understand 30% of the first idea, 30% of the second idea, and 30% of the third idea. With practice, you might be able to learn to speed your comprehension as well. Speedy thinking, also known as manic thinking, has been shown scientifically to cause elated feelings. In other words, you might be enthusiastically zipping through a book, believing that you're understanding everything, when in fact you're missing a lot. It has been shown experimentally that this sort of self-deception is very common in speed readers.
At the end of the book, there are quizzes for novels that the author recommends speed reading. Here are some sample multiple choice questions about The Death of Common Sense, a 51,000 word book.
1. The book's title is [a, b, c, d answers are given].
2. The book's subtitle is
3. Which of the following is a chapter title?
4. The author's name is
5. How many chapters are in the book?
6. The author grew up in small towns in eastern
7. The author is a professional in the field of
8. In the "selected bibliography" in the back of the book, there are [options listed for this question: three pages, 10 pages, four pages, six pages.]
9. Which of two widely known persons are mentioned on the first page of the first chapter?
12. According to the author, the laws of government controls affects [sic]
Many of the other questions could easily be answered just by knowing the politics of The Death of Common Sense.
21. Trying to get rid of an inept federal employee is
a) so difficult most supervisors don't try.
b) very easy to do.
c) very time-consuming.
d) encouraged by the bureaucratic process.
Aside from the fact that A and C imply the same thing, you could probably answer this question just by knowing the title of the book. If you actually wanted to evaluate the book's arguments, you need much more than the title.
If you're looking for information on speed reading in general, try Wikipedia.
What a Difference.......2007-06-01
I am reading a lot faster and what a difference it is.Its not as difficult as I thought I'd be.The results speak for themselves I highly recommend this book.
Immediate Results.......2007-04-13
I have been working with this book for only two days. I'm only on page 110 of 416. So far, I've doubled my starting speed of 140 wpm. I'm now reading 300 wpm. Based on these results, I think I'll easily exceed the promised tripling of my reading speed, with further practice.
I worked with Evelyn Wood techniques years ago, and found the effort was too much and it tired me out more than normal reading, so I never finished the course. I also was frustrated with the "finger pacing" they advocated. It's not that I found the technique embarrassing, it was tedious. When doing a great deal of reading, the tip of my finger would get tender from the texture of cheap paperback pages. It also aggravated my tendonitis. I'm pleased to say that I get much better results with the techniques in this book, without utilizing my finger and I do not find speed reading tiring now.

Started out as a promising novel!!.......2007-09-15
This started out as a great book but as the story goes on I find it pointless to tell. The Mom is not a very great parent and the lessons she teaches her son is just ridiculous.
Could of been better..........2007-08-29
This book had a great story line- but it was too fictional for me... I mean the son was only 14 or 15 yrs old- and the book made him seem like he was about 25-30 and had been in the streets for years.. On top of that the story takes place in about three days and the author seem like he was rushing to finish- and so he did just that... (Rushed the ending)...
