Way to go Janet.......2007-10-09
My favorite numbers book. Ranger's character was developed to show a lot of differents emotions. Hilarious when Joe decides he has to live with Stephanie after Ranger has decided he needs to hide out at her apt. And Grandma Mazur in a rock band. No wonder poor Ellen tipples in the kitchen.
Loving the Plum series.......2007-09-28
Go get this series and start reading it. These are the best. No really they are. I'm looking forward to number 14.
Good read for fun junkies.......2007-09-10
I loved loved loved number twelve! Hadn't laughed that hard since eight and nine and was beginning to worry that Evanovich had run out of soap. NOT SO. I read her books strictly for the laughs and no-brainer entertainment. Made the mistake of reading it on a cross country flight and frightened fellow passangers with my hysterical laughter and tears. They must have thought I was off my medication. Will read thirteen with avid anticipation. Plum fans that whine about plot tedium are missing the point of this Jersey girl. She is NOT Scarlet O'Hara. She is just plan old fun and what's wrong with that? If you want War and Peace, then read it and leave the Plum novels for the rest of us fun junkies.
Stephanie at her full blossom.......2007-09-10
Tremendous fun, interesting plot and some amazing details - Stephanie among two men and a few sex toys:)
Apart from the fun part, what's good about this book is that we are allowed to go deeper into Ranger's character. Characters in general are no longer static but evolving.
Good work, Ms. Evanovich, I had great time with it. Hope you are planning to write at least 12 more:)
Still my favorite series........2007-09-08
I resisted reading Janet Evanovich's books for years despite all the encouragement of friends, co-workers, and family. I was really missing out. Her humor and writing style are absolutely wonderful and I picked up the first book in this series expecting to be only mildly entertained. I couldn't have been more wrong! I was laughing so hard at the hilarious events that I never wanted to put that first book down. I quickly devoured the rest of the series. I know the lines are fairly well defined between Evanovich's readers. You're either a Morelli fan or a Ranger fan. Morelli is good, but Ranger can't be beat. There's no competition between a playboy New Jersey cop and a dark and mysterious Cuban bounty hunter. Sorry. Cuban bounty hunter trumps playboy cop.
Sure the stories are getting a little wackier with time. And exactly how many cars has Stephanie destroyed? So it's predictable in some ways, but still highly enjoyable.

EVERYONE should read this book!!.......2007-09-07
I had borrowed a copy of this book to read from a local AA group. I got so much from the text, not only as an alcoholic, but as a human being. I think everyone should read this book. I bought two copies: one to keep as a reference and one to pass around. It looks like I'll have to order a few more because both of my copies are out!
Recovery.......2007-08-31
This is the essential book needed by all who have an addiction. It is the first step for all who desire freedom from addictions.
Well, it saved my life!.......2007-06-27
I don't write reviews but I felt I needed to on this one, I truly believe in this book. The 'Big Book' was given to me by a prison chaplain and I have since read it three times. As I was reading it I was thinking to myself, "Jeez, that's me! I've done that!" This book inspired me to get help for an addiction I really didn't care about. (despite the agony it caused my family and friends.) I have since joined several local AA chapters and and am clean and sober. I am 25 years old and had no problem with the English presented within the text. I believe all addicts should read this book with an open mind and you WILL learn from it. Everybody has a diffrent 'rock-bottom' and I was at mine. Sometimes you have to be at the bottom of the pit to force you to look up. Through this book and AA, I have turned my life completly around. No addict can recover on his own, that's where the "Higher Power" comes in. If you are suffering from addiction, I beg you, at least give this book a chance. It may very well save your life.

Originally published in 1952, this classic book is used by A.A. members and groups around the world. It lays out the principles by which A.A. members recover and by which the fellowship functions. The basic text clarifies the Steps which constitute the A.A. way of life and the Traditions, by which A.A. maintains its unity.

Basically the best.......2007-08-25
Simply the best basic recovery and personal spirituality text of the 20th century. Universal spiritual principles explained in clear, concise language. This book is the basis for thousands of self-help, spiritual psychotherapy, and self-awareness works that came after. Wonderful, relevant & powerful spiritual philosophy of living one day at a time.

Count me among the legion of AA members who think this book is a buggering mess. Bill Wilson wrote it while in the midst of a 5 year depression and it shows. Save for the essays on Steps 1 and 8, this book leaves most people more confused than enlightened.
I gave it two stars cause some of the Tradition essays have some good stuff if you're willing to wade into them.

EXCELLENT.......2007-06-11
IT IS VERY HELPFUL TO READ A FEW PAGES OR A CHAPTER A DAY. IT WILL KEEP YOU ON A EVEN TRACK OF YOUR LIFE. IF YOU DON'T FIND YOUR ANSWERS HERE TRY THE BIG BOOK.
Please Join Our cult!!!.......2007-02-21
The truth is that a newly-sober alcoholic named William Griffith Wilson -- a down-on-his-luck former Wall Street hustler who put on airs of having once been a prosperous stock broker -- just sat down, in December of 1938, and wrote up twelve commandments for the new religious group that he and fellow alcoholic Doctor Robert Smith had started. Those commandments were simply a repackaged version of the practices of a cult religion that was popular at that time, something called "The Oxford Group", or "The Oxford Group Movement", and later, "Moral Re-Armament" -- a religious cult that was created by a deceitful fascist renegade Lutheran minister named Dr. Frank Nathan Daniel Buchman -- a nut-case who actually praised Adolf Hitler and Heinrich Himmler.
Bill Wilson described the writing of the Twelve Steps this way:
Well, we finally got to the point where we really had to say what this book was all about and how this deal works. As I told you this had been a six-step program then.
The idea came to me, well, we need a definite statement of concrete principles that these drunks can't wiggle out of. There can't be any wiggling out of this deal at all and this six-step program had two big gaps which people wiggled out of.
Notice how Bill Wilson considered his fellow alcoholics to be a bunch of cheaters who will "wiggle out of this deal" if they can get away with it -- which Bill won't allow.
And note how Bill Wilson made himself the leader who was entitled to dictate the concrete terms of other people's recovery programs.
Also notice how Bill Wilson considered 'spiritual development' to be a business deal, with a contract that you can't wiggle out of, something like selling your soul in trade for sobriety.
Nowhere in the Twelve Steps does it say that you should quit drinking, or help anyone else to quit drinking, either. Nowhere do the words "sobriety", "recovery", "abstinence", "health", "happiness", "joy", "love", or "love", appear in the Twelve Steps. The word "alcohol" was only mentioned once, where it was patched into the first step as a substitute for the word "sin" -- Bill Wilson wrote,
"we are powerless over alcohol and our lives have become unmanageable",
instead of the Oxford Group slogan,
"we are powerless over sin and have been defeated by it".
And then the phrase "especially alcoholics" was patched into the 12th step as a suggested target for further recruiting efforts:
"...we tried to carry this message to others, especially alcoholics"...
(But regular non-alcoholic people were still fair game for recruiting into Bill's "spiritual fellowship"...)
The Twelve Steps are not a formula for curing or treating alcoholism, and they never were.
The Twelve Steps are not "spiritual principles" and they never were.
The Twelve Steps are cult practices that work to convert people into confirmed true believers in a proselytizing cult religion, just like Frank Buchman's so-called "spiritual principles" did.
1. The Twelve Steps do not work as a program of recovery from drug or alcohol problems.
The A.A. failure rate ranges from 95% to 100%. Sometimes, the A.A. success rate is actually less than zero, which means that A.A. indoctrination is positively harmful to people, and prevents recovery. Some tests have shown that even receiving no treatment at all for alcoholism is much better than receiving A.A. treatment:
One of the most enthusiastic boosters of Alcoholics Anonymous, Professor George Vaillant of Harvard University, who is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc. (AAWS), showed by his own 8 years of testing of A.A. that A.A. was worse than useless -- that it didn't help the alcoholics any more than no treatment at all, and it had the highest death rate of any treatment program tested -- a death rate that Professor Vaillant himself described as "appalling". While trying to prove that A.A. treatment works, Professor Vaillant actually proved that A.A. kills. After 8 years of A.A. treatment, the score with Dr. Vaillant's first 100 alcoholic patients was: 5 sober, 29 dead, and 66 still drinking.
(Nevertheless, Vaillant is still a Trustee of Alcoholics Anonymous, and he still wants to send all alcoholics to A.A. anyway, to "get an attitude change by confessing their sins to a high-status healer." That is cult religion, not a treatment program for alcoholism.)
The A.A. dropout rate is terrible. Most people who come to A.A. looking for help in quitting drinking are appalled by the narrow-minded atmosphere of fundamentalist religion and faith-healing. The A.A. meeting room has a revolving door. The therapists, judges, and parole officers (many of whom are themselves hidden members of A.A. or N.A.) continually send new people to A.A., but those newcomers vote with their feet once they see what A.A. really is. Even A.A.'s own triennial surveys, conducted by the A.A. headquarters (the GSO), say that:
81% of the newcomers are gone within 30 days,
90% are gone in 3 months, and
95% are gone at the end of a year.
That automatically gives A.A. a failure rate of at least 95%. But the GSO does not count all of those people who only attend a few meetings before quitting -- they don't qualify as "members". (That amounts to "cherry-picking".) If we included them, then the numbers would be much worse.
First there is the propaganda technique of "everybody's doing it": "AA or a similar Twelve-Step program is an integral part of almost all successful recoveries".
That is a complete falsehood. The vast majority of the successful people recover without A.A. or any "support group". It's what "everybody" is doing.
Then they use the propaganda techniques of use of the passive voice and vague suggestions: "It is widely believed that not including a Twelve-Step program in a treatment plan can put a recovering addict on the road to relapse."
It is widely believed by whom? And what do those unnamed people know? What are their qualifications? Are they doctors? Medical school professors? Or salesmen for a 12-Step treatment center? Why should we care what some unnamed invisible fools allegedly believe, anyway?
The authors also use the propaganda technique of fear-mongering: you will be "on the road to relapse" -- you will probably die -- unless you practice Bill Wilson's Twelve Step cult religion.
And then the fluff-headed Pollyanna attitude is outrageous: Just going to the wonderful A.A. meetings is supposedly all that is needed to fix some alcoholics.
But since A.A. has a zero-percent success rate above and beyond the normal rate of spontaneous remission, that cannot possibly be true.
An important link in the chain of sobriety.......2006-11-05
I've been recovering for about four years now, and the "12 and 12" as my sponsor calls it, was a critical component in my achieving sobriety after 38 years of drinking and drugging. The book provides -- in a very simple format -- commentary on the 12 steps of AA as well as the 12 Traditions established long ago to keep AA from turning into something other than what it is and was meant to be: a fellowship of men and women whose sole purpose is to stay sober and to help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.

I don't understand the critism.......2007-09-12
I don't really understand the lengths I've seen people go to to discredit this book or the 12 steps in general. I am not a member of AA but I have a family member who was saved literally from the brink of death by NA. The changes in her and in her life have been nothing short of miraculous. If it was a 'cult' that brought about this change in her then I say Thank God for the 12-step cult, for it is truly a force of good.
If you think you have a drinking problem...........2007-08-12
I'm a recovering alcoholic. This book saved my life.
If you think you MIGHT have a drinking problem, buy this book and read the first 164 pages. If you identify with what you're reading, then you might want to consider hitting a few meetings.
You have to get beyond the prose of the author. It's very 1930's. Since he knew it would be saving a lot of lives, he wanted it to sound really important.
Many like me read this book, and found that in many cases, it seemed like the book someone stole a story out of our own experiences.
It works if YOU work it.......2007-06-23
As an active, voluntary member of AA I must say that the program of recovery outlined in this book works *IF* you choose to work it. AA is not a cult, expects nothing in terms of finances and only SUGGEST'S a few very simple applications to lead a successful, joyous and sober life. AA is group therapy. It is a place for people to share their experience, strength and hope with each other so that they may stay abstinent from alcohol.
The "Big Book" opened my eyes as to how I was living. Reading the personal stories, being able to identify with the pain, the misery of alcoholism and the newfound hope has completely changed my life. I finally felt as if I were no longer alone. The 12 steps are only suggested and there is no need to believe in God at all. If you are an alcoholic or a family member or friend of an alcoholic I suggest you read this book. It is one of many solutions to tackle alcoholism and statistically AA has very high success rates. It works for some and doesn't for others just like everything else in life.
For those who don't think alcoholism is a disease, I suggest you write the American Medical Association and tell them they are wrong. Or feel free to bare witness to the blameless children, the destroyed marriages, the missed opportunities and the early grave that active alcoholism guarantees.

Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it.
Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held.
Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books.
Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin.
Believe nothing just because someone else believes it.
Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true.
I took many ideas from this book and applied it to my own life. It was very helpful

ASIN: 1592851614 |
Book Description
Resentment. Fear. Self-pity. Intolerance. Anger. This cast of character defects will undermine the best-laid plans for recovery from addiction. It's not uncommon for individuals in recovery to hang on to negative, self-defeating behaviours after they've given up their addiction. These are the "rocks" that can sink recovery - or, at the least, block further progress. With more than 100,000 copies sold, "Drop the Rock" is the definitive guide to removing character defects that can prevent gratifying, long-standing recovery. Based on the Twelve Step program, particularly the principles behind Steps Six and Seven, "Drop the Rock" combines personal stories, practical advice, and powerful insights to help readers move forward in recovery. The second edition features additional stories, a reference section, and information about starting a "Drop the Rock" sudy group.

WOW is right.......2007-10-04
The author calls 6 & 7 the forgotten steps. I worked the 12 steps with a sponsor and am working through them again. I picked up this book along with a real desire for real change in my life. I've been merrily going along my sober way but this book had me digging deep to bring those shortcomings to light. This is a must have for anyone working the 12 steps with an honest desire for change.
Spiritaulity on the Graduate Level .......2007-07-27
Bill Wilson referred to AA as a 'Spiritual Kindergarten'. If that is so, then the material in 'Drop The Rock' is for those of us at the Masters or Doctoral level.
This book is NOT for the newcomer. Nor is it for those who are blissfully filling their days by 'not drinking and going to meetings'. 'Drop The Rock' is clearly targeted at those who have been sober for some time, but find there are still persistent annoying life problems that resist the all the work one has put into fixing these flaws.
This book is short, concise and to the point. The authors have left out much of the new-agey recovery jargon and slogans that weighs down most meetings. Instead, they approach Steps 6&7 from a practical and logical perspective which demystifies the two steps on which so much of our future happiness hangs.
It is an excellent book. One which you could build a meeting or study group around. However, the book is not for everyone. 'Drop The Rock' is only for those who know the intense hunger of desiring real change in life.

Wow.......2007-05-23
Wow! I have been in the program for almost 24 years and this is one of the best books on the 6th and 7th steps I have ever read. i am buying 10 copies to have for all of my friends in the program who after many years still suffer from hanging on to our character defects. i recommend it to anyone in the program. its about taking action!
Very good sobriety.......2007-04-01
For those who need it, and unforunately there are a great many of us, this is a fine book for the "midpoint" of the 12 steps. It is a good place to stop, the first time thru or on a revisit, and re evaluate what you are doing. This book focuses on the reality on that many recovering alcoholics have begun to do the steps by number and by rote at this stage. They have given up drinking, and little else. The book focuses on the need, and the techniques, for dropping the other character flaws which weighted down our spiritual backpaack. A fine and needed book.
Good Supplement.......2007-01-10
The book elaborates on these Steps and makes them a easier to understand from a newcomer's point of view.

A Gentle Path Through The Twelve Steps.......2007-10-02
This book is an excellent resource for guiding someone through the twelve step process or for working the twelve steps as part of an individual recovery program. Each step requests detailed information which encourages the participant to dig deep into ones core beliefs, thoughts, and feelings as they pertain to themselves and the subject matter. I would recommend this book to anyone contemplating or interested in the 12-step process of recovery.
Thorough.......2007-08-23
If you're looking for a guide to help you work the steps for more than one issue, this is the book to use. It's a good guide to use with a small group. And, even though you may think you have only one addiction, chances are, if you're creative like the rest of us, you get clean in one area only to discover you've traded up to new and more insidious compulsive behavior.
Ready to get, clean, honest and grow up? This book will help!
Must Have Book for Anyone Involved in the 12 Steps.......2006-07-21
This book is truly a must have, inspiring, comprehensive, and enlightening guide through the 12 steps within any recovery program. I have used this with countless clients in therapy and have had nothing but great results. This book is highly recommended for all clinicians and anybody wising to grow in the 12 step process.
Stronger for Addicts than Co-Addicts?.......2005-11-28
Patrick Carnes has been a grounder-breaker in every sense concerning sexual addiction. I feel ambivalent about this offering, however. I think on the whole it's a stronger book for addicts than for codependents. The material seems to revolve around addiction with co-addiction serving as an afterthought, both figuratively and literally. As a recovering codependent, I yearn for materials that address my issues head-on instead of relating me to the addicts in my life. Something about this material makes me feel second-class and doesn't inspire me to go as deeply as I could.
Although it's on order and I can't review it yet, I suggest that codependents take a look at Pia Mellody's 12 step workbook, Breaking Free, as an alternative. Her Facing Codependence contains some extraordinarily muscular, clear-sighted work on codependence as an illness that stands on its own, and if the workbook has anything in common, it should prove useful.
SAA of Tulsa.......2005-10-14
The primary workbook for our Fellowship in Tulsa. We've also tried 4 others, which are good, but have come back to this one. Sometimes a little clinical, but very thorough. Should be done with the guidance of a sponsor. Just "surrender" to following the book and results WILL come. Prepare to spend several months to really examine yourself, do the writings, and truly internalize the Steps. Can't be rushed, yet can't procrastinate. Carnes is really the "guru" on this topic. We've read most of his books, and their just great.

Customer Reviews:
Help is on the Way.......2007-09-12
I was skeptical at first about reading a book on the steps. I wasn't sure if it could help me. I had attended a few meetings and thought I knew some of the concepts, but this book opened my eyes. I think that Melody Beattie is very personal and caring in the mind of a codependent. She made me feel like I wasn't a bad person and I could recover from the out of control way my life has been. I'm only on step three, but I feel like I understand more than I have my whole life about who I am and my own needs. I'd recommend this book to anyone who is struggling with codependency or with the addiction of a loved one. I never even knew I was a codependent, but the book has taught me that I am and its ok, I just need to start making changes.
life changing.......2007-08-21
If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired - this is the book for you. I have struggled with people-pleasing, victimization, saying yes when I want to say no, etc. This book has taught me how to take care of myself, and life a happier life!
A Guide to Recovery.......2007-08-06
If you have read "Codependent No More" and though "Oh my gosh, that's me!" This is the book to get you on track to rid yourself of the pain and frustration in your life. Be ready to be honest with yourself, and answer some difficult questions...
lost interest.......2007-03-23
It was hard for me to keep interested. Lots of info, and I am sure it can help some people. But I lost interest in finishing it.
Honesty, responsibility, and respect.......2006-06-28
I was able to refresh my memory, which is required, in not being an enabler, being responsable for my actions and respecting myself again.

Book Description
Women's recovery can differ from men's, and each person's recovery is in many ways unique. That's why Stephanie Covington has designed this workbook to help a woman find her own path-- and find it in terms especially suited to the way women experience not just addcition and recovery but also relationships, self, sexuality, and everyday life. Deepening and extending the lessons of a book that has helped countless women, this workbook makes "A Woman's Way through the Twelve Steps" that much more measured, meaningful, and clear. Unlike many "rewritten" Twelve Step interpretations for women, this guide works with the original Step language, preserving its spirit and focusing attention on its healing message. In sections devoted to each of the Twelve Steps, Covington blends narrative, self-assessment questions focused on a feminine definition of terms such as "powerlessness" and "letting go" guided imagery exercises, and physical activities.
Customer Reviews:
Great Book!.......2007-07-25
The workbook is a wonderful companion to the book. I gain so much more understanding and insight to the 12 steps. Be sure to get both books, it is worth it!
A woman's Way is a terrific guide.......2006-02-22
A Woman's Way Through the twelve steps workbook is a great tool to accompany Stephanie Covington's book "A Womans Guide through the Twelve Steps. The questions are insightful and to the point without being overwhelming. I have found these two books to be an immeasurable asset to working the twelve steps.
Heads Up Ladies!.......2000-10-11
This is definitely a head's up and listen up for women in recovery....using this in conjunction with "A Womans' Way Through the Twelve Steps" is a sure way to add to any other 12 step program that you may be using. I am a person who has been in recovery for 10 years, and found that many women's issues were not being addressed and this combination is an absolute winner. It can be used by yourself, working with a sponsor or in a group ..some wonderful "aha's" have been experienced and so many women helped in this process. Read it...do it....you won't be sorry.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A RECOVERY PROGRAM?.......2007-01-19
If you are interested in moving forward without addictions,....the Serenity Bible explains how the original A.A. program started with Bill Wilson & the Oxford Group. It also explains the 12 Steps of Recovery and recognizes what must be done, to obtain a better way of thinking and living without addiction. The empowerment that is received, will change ones life. It will fill the void, offer direction and give purpose to life in a healthy way. Highly recommended. 5 S*T*A*R*S*

The beginning or the book give a very helpful description of the 12 step, As helpful as any other "12 + 12" publication. Then it links each step to passages in either the NT, Psalms, or Proverbs and has a full page meditation. Very helpful and the best book I've fould to find scripture readings that directly support each of the 12 steps!

Book Description
For more products found within this products catagory click here. Why can't I stop eating? If, like millions of others, you often ask yourself this question, you may be addicted to food. The food you eat may be precisely what makes you crave more . . . and more. This straight-talking book puts the widespread problem of food addiction into clear perspective and points the way to a life free of the obsession with food. Debbie Danowski, whose food addiction nearly ruined her life, and Peter Lazaro combine forces to give readers a full understanding of this debilitating condition: its sources, patterns, consequences, and physiological underpinnings. Unlike fad diets and drugs with their side effects, hidden costs, and infamous failure rates, the program outlined in this book goes to the root cause of chronic overeating and puts the tools for a lifelong cure into the hands of anyone willing to accept responsibility for a healthy, happy future. Debbie Danowski is a recovering food addict who has maintained a weight loss of 150 pounds for more than ten years. A nationally renowned speaker, she is an instructor of media studies at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Pedro Lazro, M.D., is a former medical director of three addiction hospitals. He currently maintains his private practice in Tampa, Florida.
Customer Reviews:
Why can't I stop eating? .......2007-01-19
Informative on theory of food addiction. Explains physical and emotional aspects of food addiction. Easy to read with information based on scholarly research.
Disappointing!.......2004-10-10
I was really disappointed when I read this book. If you've read the 12 steps of compulsive overeating, then you've pretty much read this book. It tells you the same thing. It takes forever to get you to the place where you can create your own meal plan...and what a joke! There's no way I can stick to something like that. I would starve too death!
In conclusion, I do NOT recommend buying this book. It did not help me at all.
Traditional 12 step approach.......2003-10-12
After I read the book and was very disappointed, I went on-line to write this review. I find myself agreeing completely with the reviews that gave this book a low rating. It is yet another attempt to espouse the virtues of the 12 step Overeaters Anonymous program. While I think there are good aspects of the 12 step program and that it may help some, there are many that the program simply wouldn't work for, including myself. Mainly, I think, because it mandates that you cut flour, sugar, and other foods completely from your diet. I feel that this sets a person up to fail because one ends up feeling deprived, which leads to binging. In fact there is a whole chapter in the book that talks about case studies and nearly every person mentioned has relapsed and is valiantly trying to get back to abstinence and lose the weight yet again. I would suggest that instead of working a program that obviously isn't working, they should perhaps seek another solution, maybe in the form of professional counseling. I would recommend "The Solution" by Laurel Mellin, which is a comprehensive support solution with groups and pyschologists around the country practicing the methods given in the book. I have found this method much more helpful than Overeaters Anonymous ever was. If OA is working for you, then I think that is great, but if you are like me and do not find that it fits you, I encourage you to look elsewhere. The Solution is a great place to start, and if you want to check out the website go to WWW.Sweetestfruit.com.
A disappointment.......2003-08-12
What a disappointment! The authors answer to binge-eating is simply eliminating all sugar, flour, fat, caffeine, or whatever your trigger foods are from your diet. Not only that, but they insist you must weigh and measure your food all the time for the rest of your life. Thats hardly what I consider freeing yourself from obsessing about food. They actually recommend keeping an emergency food kit in your car to be sure you always have measuring cups, a food scale, and several cans of safe food available to you at all times. Perhaps this is wise advice for people who are morbidly obese, but for those of us who are at a normal weight, or only slightly over, and are looking for some insight and realistic advice on dealing with compulsive/binge eating, this book is NOT the answer!
So right, it scared me.......2003-08-12
The more I read this book, the more I find out about myself and my addiction. It has been so much more helpful than any of the several books I have read previously. If you know you have a binging disorder, or even just think you do, reading this book will help you find peace with it...and maybe a road to recovery from it.
