Book Description
Thousands of years of human history stained by strife, death, and sin come to an end when the King of Glory returns to earth. The satisfying conclusion of the seven years of Tribulation covered by the Left Behind series portrays the return of Jesus Christ to earth in both glory and judgment.
At the height of the battle between the forces of evil gathered at Armageddon and the remaining Christian believers at Petra and Jerusalem, nothing seems to be able to stop the Antichrist, Nicolae Carpathia. But God has another plan.

3/4 done.......2007-08-18
I have read through the whole series and almost done with the last book. I don't think this will be the last book, cuz I'm almost done and there seems to be too much that is going to happen. Anyways, I read all the negative remarks, obviously from nonbelievers. A nonbeliever is borrowing my books and she likes the fiction story. However, it's based off the book or "Revelation" What they wrote is only a glimpse of what is coming whether you believe it or not. They could be right on, I doubt it, but what will happen is going to be something close. No matter what it's not going to be pretty. I read the "Davinci Code," and many believers can't believe I did, but it's a great fiction book, one of the best books I've ever read. Honestly, doesn't matter if Jesus did get married, and had a daughter. According to the bible, getting married and having children is holy and considered a blessing. Besides, he is the same Jesus who died on the cross and rose again.
Glorious is The Right Word.......2007-07-22
This book makes you think. It also makesyou want to do more comparing with your Bible and write your own ideas.
These guys must be stopped!!.......2007-07-19
There's not really much to say here. It just scares me to think about the impact these two douche bags have on so many people. I mean alot of folks out there believe in this garbage. Scary stuff....So let me get this strait...we're supposed to follow this psycho maniac named Jesus who flings people into fire only because they are non believers?? It's like he gets a righteous boner watching eyeballs melt and skin disintegrate...Lahaye and Jenkins have distorted the simple, yet beautiful message of Christ. Way to go fellas!!! Congrats on the book sales!!!
last of the set.......2007-05-09
great series. Even non-Christians should read at least the first book because the idea is great as fiction. A perfect ending.
LEFT BEHIND GLORIOUS CONCLUSION!!.......2007-03-08
WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW VERY MUCH I HAVE ENJOYED THE LEFT BEHIND SERIES
AND THE CONCLUSION DID NOT LET ME DOWN. TIM LAHAYE AND JENKINS HAVE DONE
A BRILLIANT SERIES AND ENCOURAGE THE READERS TO LIVE BETTER, SHARE THE
WORD OF GOD AND LOOK FORWARD TO WHAT LIES AHEAD FOR US BELIEVERS.

Fantasy?!?.......2007-09-18
I loved the first few books in this series but now I am uncertain. If the future is aything like it is described in these books God help us. The main couple seem to love each other however they are constantly looking at other naked people, or lusting over someone else. It's quite discouraging. Does every story have to involve a strip joint, drug users, and one of Roarke's past lovers?
Murder on the Honeymoon.......2007-06-21
This series just keeps getting better and better, and RAPTURE IN DEATH is no exception.
Now that Eve Dallas and Roarke are finally married, they're enjoying a much needed vacation/honeymoon. But death seems to find Eve no matter where she is, and a different planet is no exception. When one of Roarke's techs ends up dead, from a supposed suicide, Eve starts to wonder if everyting is exactly what it seems.
And when they return to New York, and more prominent people end up dead by their own hand, Dallas has a hard time convincing those around her that their suicides were actually murder.
You won't go wrong with this series, and watching the interaction between newly wed Eve and Roarke is a wonderful thing. The fact that every mystery of every book is also well-developed and all-too-believable is an added bonus!
An Early Success.......2007-04-11
Not the best in the series by far. You're still getting to know the characters and not really enough time is spent focusing on who they are. The story is what it's intended to be. A distraction from reality. You're forced to "put aside" your need to get to know the character and follow them through their daily lives. This teaches a few things about the character but you don't really learn much about them until later books.
The story itself is nice, suspenseful, but could have been better with maybe 20 or 30 more pages just focusing on character explication and motivation.
Terribly Amazing.......2007-03-08
A series of deaths are ruled as suicides, and only Eve Dallas has the instinct to see them for the murders that they are. While investigating those murders, Eve is confronted by her own past and her own suicide attempt at a young age.
This book was terribly amazing. It felt like I was reading one book written by two very different authors. The beginning was terrible. The characters were flat and boring, and Roark especially came off as brainless with nothing else but sex and work on his mind. The love scenes dominated the beginning of the novel, and they were poorly written. There was no chemistry or love between the characters, and the sex seemed to be written with no emotion whatsoever. Actually, the beginning of the book looked like a cheep porn. It also felt like it was being written by an amateur author who hasn't yet mastered the skill of storytelling. Nora Roberts made common writing mistakes, like making her main male character as perfect and flawless. Her main female character was cold but yet loved by everyone for no apparent reason (that's a common mistake new or unpublished authors make). It really felt like Nora Roberts didn't care what she was writing as long as she published another book.
Soon, however, the book did a complete flip and change into an absolutely amazing novel. By chapter 10 this book was hard to put down. The flat and boring characters all of the sudden became colored by great qualities and human flaws, making them more enjoyable to read about. Eve's past was explored showing more reason for her coldness and lack of trust and commitment. Her own doubts about her gene pool added to the plot and the series in general. Roark was taken away from his robotic perfect portrayal into one with many levels that only a professional and experienced author could create. Nora Roberts explored Roark's dark side by making him do something very unforgivable, and then she wrote him as a man coming to realize his mistake and righting it the best way he knew how. The character development and the relationship plot became so good that by the end of the novel it was hard to remember the primary flaws of this book in the beginning. The mystery was also entertaining, and would have been amazing if the killer's identity would have been a bigger shocker. Truth is, I saw the killer's identity the instant the person was introduced into the story.
All in all, this book followed one very obvious formula, and that is that when a book starts badly, it ends amazingly.
Rapture in Death.......2006-12-05
As always Nora Roberts has outdone herself. Reading her In Death series simply takes me away from the ordinary and transports me into the future. So much so, that I have even started thinking in those terms! Although a Nora Roberts fan for forever, I have only now started reading her In Death series. Eve and Rourke make the perfect couple and the differences between them never get old! In this book, the use of subliminal messages was outstanding and working it into the book so that it even effects the main characters was awesome!

Book Description
The final prequel will have the Rapture three-quarters of the way through the book and then following characters such as Irene and Raymie (and others) up to heaven and being able to see events in the Tribulation from heaven’s perspective. The book will alternate between focusing on events on earth immediately after the Rapture (covering lots of things the authors wished they could have covered in the original volumes) and focusing on characters in heaven and how they view the chaotic events on earth. Now available in trade paper.

Just one more book in the all-encompassing, enthralling, and utterly absorbing Left Behind Series.......2007-09-14
From the very first letter of the alphabet that my eyes looked upon inside this series of books, until the very last period of the very last sentence, I was hooked. Each one of these books absorbed my attention like no other book has ever done in my life. Biblically sound, theatrically entertaining, and brilliantly written, the Left Behind books will inspire you to dig into God's word and take the pieces of news from your T.V. screen and match them right smack-dab up with the prophecies of the Bible. Your hair will stand up, your heart will race, and you will find yourself helplessly caught in the suspense. Once you finish one of these books, you will desperately race to your computer screen or your local library to pick up the next one!

The best of the 3 prequels, by far!.......2007-09-10
I picked this book up expecting to be disappointed; however, that was far from what actually happened! I feel that Mr's LaHaye and Jenkins redeemed themselves with this book, after the travesties that were the first two prequels and Kingdom Come. The Rapture actually drew me back into the Left Behind series--I literally couldn't put it down--and I found it moving in a way the aforementioned installments completely lacked.
I definitely suggest that even if you disliked the first two prequels, you read this one. Although it does get a bit annoying in that, toward the end, it repeats a lot of what happened in the beginning of the original Left Behind, if you have not read the first book in the series in quite a while the repetition really isn't so bad.
GOOD.......2007-07-22
I have not yet read this book because my son is reading it first, but if it is as good as the rest of this series, it is bound to be great.
Big disappointment.......2007-07-10
This third prequel to the Left Behind series moves the story up to the time of "Left Behind," the first in the original series. Jenkins is creative in his description of what life is like in heaven, but this novel is extremely padded - he could have covered the same ground in 100 pages less, and probably should have.

Warning: This may induce drowsiness!.......2007-09-08
I credit my mom with getting me interested in this series. I have been hanging on since the beginning and have loved most of it (with the major exception of the terrible Glorious Appearing). So, when the prequels arrived, I plunged in.
Plot:
Nicolae Carpathia rises to power in Romania, Cameron Williams begins his career as a journalist, and Rayford's family is stretched to the breaking point when his wife converts to Christianity. Also, we get to see characters like Abdullah and Leon Fortunato.
Good:
The best parts of the book belong to Nicolae. Watching him manipulate and weasel his way into power is clever, amusing, and revolting all at the same time.
The end was a cliff-hanger that almost brought the book back to the quality of the previous books.
Bad:
I have loved Left Behind. I consider myself a fan of the series. But I cannot, in my right mind, recommend this book. It is too horrible for words. I started this back in January of this year and only now have had the determination to finish it (and just so I can get it out from my nightstand!). The saddest thing is that LaHaye and Jenkins have done so well in the past (especially most recently with The Rising).
I noticed three major problems with this particular installment:
1. There are way too many characters to be covered even minutely well in 390 pages. There are Nicolae, Leon, Viv, Rayford, Irene, Chloe, Raymie, Hattie, Buck, Dirk, Abdullah. And this is just a sampling. How can anybody hope to develop these people to true characters in such a short time? All we, the readers, are left with are cardboard caricatures of the characters we adore from the Left Behind series. Nicolae is the fiendish wannabe dictator; Rayford, the clueless father/husband and rock-on pilot. Chloe gets to play a varied role (ha!) as the typical rebellious teenager (she even gets to go drinking!) while Irene is lumped into the worn-out mother/wife who is unequally yoked with her husband. Buck has no character after the death of his mother. Abdullah is probably the only interesting character as he struggles with his wife over her conversion from Islam to Christianity, but not that much.
2. There is absolutely no plot. What happens in The Regime? I can tell you what is supposed to happen: Nicolae's rise to power. But all of 50 pages are spent on this fascinating tale, and most of that is hidden between senseless anecdotes about cardboard people interacting with cardboard people producing sleep-inducing experiences. Take Buck: he meets a girl he likes in the same section that she breaks up with him! We are given no time to bond with this woman and feel his pain when she breaks up with him. And about Rayford's family: why is it important that Chloe comes home drunk? That Rayford buys stuff on the black market? That we have to find out each time Irene meets Jackie and talks about how Rayford is an arrogant jerk? That Rayford has to drive Hattie home? Well, I guess to show yet another dysfunctional family, though what that proves, I have no clue. And sections are spent on people thinking about what they wanted to do instead of actually doing it! If the book had cut out Rayford's family and Buck's boring life (wow, he gets attached to a senior writer at the Global weekly, where's the popcorn?) and focused only on Nicolae, it might have been a better book.
3. Rayford and Nicolae are inconsistent. Maybe Buck is too, but I fell asleep during his scenes. All I remember is reading endless lines about Rayford contemplating Hattie (if you read Left Behind, the first one, he comments on how he could have an affair with her and later how glad he was he hadn't gone very far--no mention of riding her home so frequently!) and how bad his marriage was. I always got the impression that Rayford had only started to recently think about having an affair, not something that had been in the works for years.
Then there's Nicolae. He's so sweet and charming back in the first Left Behind. Here, we learn that this is a complete act; he actually is a spoiled eight-year-old who throws daily temper-tantrums when he's told that he's not at the center of the universe. That act we see in Left Behind? That's a consummate act. He's all charm and humility when in front of the populace and his one-night-stands. Why do Leon and Viv work for him? Well, they have nothing better to do and are used to him. Plus, maybe the benefits packet rocked.
There are more things that drive me nuts about this bookb (how juvenile the writing seemed, the uneven pacing), but I don't have the time or the inclination to recall each and every one of them. You get the picture.
Dialogue/Sexual Situations/Violence:
Any dialogue is alluded to. Rayford contemplates adultery, and Nicolae has several intimate girlfriends. Several deaths occur, but nothing graphic.
Overall:
This was perfectly terrible! This could be used as an alternative to sleeping drugs! No wonder it took me almost a year to finish. Stay away unless you are an avid Left Behind fan!

I rated this a five star, even though I have not yet read this book. I have the first set of books, but was missing the last 3. My son is now reading them, so I have to wait til he is finished. The books have been very good so far.

The Regime was an excellent adventure tale, fitting right into the series saga. The Biblical scriptures were accurate and blended well into the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Book Description
Not once, not twice, but ten times in one month the Lord appeared to Choo Thomas and took her on a breathtaking journey. Over 500,000 readers around the world (in 43 languages) have bought copies of this book! Here is a personal story of how she saw the living Christ, visited hell, and walked in heaven. " On January 19, 1996, I woke up at 3:00 in the morning. My body was shaking
I turned my head on the pillow to look in the direction of the sound, and there, all-aglow, was a figure dressed in white garments. It was the Lord
" How could this be happening to me? I wondered
as I began to tremble
and to weep tears of love and joy. " `My daughter
I am your Lord, and I want to talk to you. I am going to visit you many times before this work is done.' " The impact of His voice, His words, His message hit me with a supernatural force
" Readers will passionately share her experiences, sense the growing wonder of His presence, feel the weight of His tender words, and drink in the Spirit of God.

The best book about heaven.......2007-09-28
I have collected every Christian book on heaven. Ranging from books written from the 19th century to the 21st century, and so far Choo's is the best because:
1) It grabs me right away because Dr. Yonggi Cho, Pastor of the largest church in the world with over 1 million members, wrote the forward and translated it into Korean - demonstrating his total trust in Choo's credibility;
2) I could see Choo's deep love and devotion to our Lord, forsaking every worldly thing in order to draw closer to Christ;
3) Choo's writing immerses you with vivid pictures of heaven and hell.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a deeper knowledge of Christ and to those wanting a manual on how to get to heaven.
HEAVEN IS SO REAL! So don't miss it.
Total Blessings and Excellent.......2007-09-27
I was the most blessed when I read the "Heaven is so real" book.
It is not only a Choo Thomas' personal testimony of visiting heaven but also conveying a powerful messages from the Lord Jesus.
I found the deeper love of Jesus Christ for His church and His children through this book. At the same time His warning to His children of Laodicean church is there because He cares.
Some may disagree with this book because they believe it is unscriptural.
However I believe this is extra-biblical and will be a blessing for those who read and believe with open heart. If you do not believe, please be quiet because you may blaspheme the Holy Spirit without knowing.
If you don't understand some part you pray to the Lord to reveal His truth.
Please read the Gospel of Matthew 12:31, Mark 3:29 and Luke 12:10.
I believe the true author of this book is the Lord Jesus Himself.
When you focus your heart on the Lord Jesus while reading the Holy Spirit will bless you beyond your imagination.
Critics are always there even in Jesus time but they regret a million times now in unwanted place.
I recommend to everyone to read and share this Heaven book because Jesus is coming back very soon, sooner than most think.

Approach with skepticism!.......2007-09-24
After considerable deliberation, I have reached the conclusion that the woman who wrote this book was either deliberately trying to make a quick buck by publishing a pack of lies, OR she is so mentally unbalanced that she is unable to discern between reality and fantasy. I'm hoping she is just unbalanced, because it really makes me angry when people deliberately write lies and call it the truth. If you haven't read "Heaven is so Real" yet, then save your money. In her heaven, Jesus tools around in an electronic push button speed boat with stained glass windows (now mind you there is no mention of cars, airplanes, trains, motorcycles, or even bicycles, but, by golly, there are speed boats). If the windows in the boat are stained glass, how does one see through them to steer the boat? Also, He (Jesus) cooks rainbow colored fish on an electronic push button B-B-Q grill. If lions and other carnivorous beasts are destined to eat grass (vegetation) in Heaven, then why are people eating flesh in Heaven? Death in Heaven? And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Her book is nonsense from beginning to end. Of which, at the end of the book, she cautions against letting anyone mark you with the number 666. Gee, does anyone still believe that? Aren't we all savvy to the notion that the mark of the beast will most likely be a microchip implant? I guess not. The bottom line is that I am not going to buy anymore books written by people who claim to have had a "trip" to heaven or hell because their "experiences" can't be verified and I'm tired of being buffaloed. I'll find out what Heaven is like when I get there.
Excellent Book.......2007-09-23
This is an awesome book and lines up with almost every account of heaven I have read.
A Most Awesome and Inspiring Book from the Throne of God.......2007-09-01
I read "Heaven is So Real", and parts of it many times. This book, a real treasure, encourages those who are believers and working for the Kingdom of God and portrays the joys of heaven which await them, and it is a warning to the unbelievers and the lukewarm Christians, to repent of their sins, and begin an intimate relationship with Jesus, before it is eternally too late. We go through this life only once, and once you cross over into eternity, it is not possible to go back to repent of wrong habits, deeds, and attitudes in your life, so it behooves all of us to wake out of sleep, make things right with God, and prepare for the coming of Jesus, which is now upon us, and could happen at any moment.

Take a pound of apocalyptic suspense, add a dash of conspiracy, a little romance, and you've got a recipe for publishing success.
When authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins first imagined Left Behind, their goal was to create "...the first fictional portrayal of events that are true to the literal interpretation of Bible prophecy." Left Behind began as a sleeper, starting slowly and building steadily, selling by word of mouth. Eventually the book became a bestseller and LaHaye and Jenkins discovered that the story would take more than one book to tell, so they continued the tale in Tribulation Force.
Set against the backdrop of the Rapture, in which Jesus has returned as promised to gather his followers and remove them from this world, the characters in Tribulation Force must confront life without their loved ones, struggle with evil unleashed on the world, and ultimately embrace God's truth for themselves.
Pilot Rayford Steele, his daughter Chloe, journalist Buck Williams, and pastor Bruce Barnes band together to study the Bible, pray, and support one another through this time of terror and uncertainty. They realize that Nicolae Carpathia is the prophesied Antichrist, as they watch him consolidate his power. Buck and Rayford find themselves employees of Nicolae, keeping their faith in Jesus secret so that they can continue to work and share their faith unhindered while secretly fighting the Antichrist with the other members of the tribulation force.
The authors have drawn a story of intrigue and adventure set against a cataclysm of global proportions. Readers captivated by Left Behind will certainly want to read Tribulation Force.
Book Description
Rayford Steele and Cameron ("Buck") Williams find themselves pressed into service for the man they believe could be the Antichrist. Nicholae Carpathia takes over the United Nations, signs a peace treaty with Israel, and begins to lure the nations of earth together to form one global village. Meanwhile, the judgment of God begins to fall on the earth. Buck and Rayford, along with their pastor and Rayford's daughter, must fight to stay alive and battle the forces of evil in the strength of their fledgling, newfound faith.

Book 2 in Left Behind.......2007-10-09
The Left Behind Series is awesome. This book is no exception. It will hold your interest from the first page to the last. You have to read book one first though.
Things slow down..........2007-09-25
In "Tribulation Force" things slow down considerably from the first book. It is probably the dullest book in the entire series, but that does not make it a bad book, and it is still integral to the series as a whole.
This book takes over where the first left off and is in between the rapture and the plagues. Buck Williams, Rayforde Steel, and Chloe Steele have all made decisions to follow Christ, but they are still trying to figure out what that means. With the help of their church pastor and Tribulation Force leader Bruce Barnes they form a group that is determined to stand against the anti-Christ despite all the odds and live a Godly life in times that will become increasingly unGodly.
Buck Williams is still working for the Global weekly and is trying to write as a Christian in w world where Christians get no respect. Hattie is put into a a position next to Nicolae which seems to seperate her more and more from God. Chloe and Buck are contemplating whether or not marriage should be an option since raising children in a world with the anti-Christ reigning doesn't seem like a good idea. Rayford's obedience is tested as he is being led to a lucrative job as being Nicolae's personal pilote.
A lot happens in this book without really happening. If anything this book is the transitional book for the series, it leads the way for the tribulation to come in and the revealing of the anti-Christ. I understand why this book has been rated lower than the others, but that does not mean it is worse than the others, it is just a little bit less eventful. However, if you enjoyed the first book, you will enjoy this one.
God Bless & *ENJOY* ~Amy
It's just ok.......2007-09-19
Okay, the first book I read in no time, but this one is taking so long. I really can't say much else except it's slow. And if it wasn't part of the series, I probably would stop reading. Please tell me it gets better again in book 3.

Tribulation Force.......2007-08-16
Great story line. Lots of drama. The Bible is very clear about what will happen in a macro sense at the end of the age. This series portrays what could happen to real people in a micro sense at the end of time. While fiction, I would not be at all surprised if much of what is in the book actually transpires immediately after the rapture. Highly recommend.

It's the dawn of the Great Tribulation, "the bloodiest season in the history of the world." After lying in state for three days, Nicolae Carpathia has risen from the dead. As the world responds in awe, statues of the potentate and "god" are erected in every major city, and a new religion, "Carpathianism," is in full swing. Followers of the antichrist are branded with a loyalty mark on their right hands or their foreheads, and "vaccinated" with a biochip embedded with personal information. Those who refuse the mark take a one-way trip to the guillotine. The second coming of Christ is only three-and-one-half years away. But can the Tribulation Force hang on?
"The God who calls you to the ultimate sacrifice will also give you the power to endure it. No one can receive the mark of the beast by accident. It is a once-and-for-all decision that will forever condemn you to eternity without God," writes Tsion Ben-Judah in his daily newsletter with its cyberaudience of more than a billion. Heavenly power may be the only hope for the Tribulation Force, as it struggles to survive amidst new terrors, the death of more loved ones, and some unexpected twists in its plans.
The Mark: The Beast Rules the World is the eighth installment in the blockbuster Left Behind series. Rich in dialogue, this action-packed thriller delivers the same consistent mix of apocalyptic mayhem and quirky humor readers have come to expect from the pen of Jerry Jenkins and the prophetic interpretations of Tim LaHaye. --Cindy Crosby

I liked it!.......2007-05-21
Yes, it was an easy read. I have read the whole series and never spent more than a few hours reading it. Still, the plot made it irresistable. That being said, the "Left Behind" promoters have left no stone unturned and parlayed this into an industry unto itself, like "40 Days of Purpose" or TBN - buy the audio tapes, buy the tee shirts, join the club - and, hey, don't forget to buy a nice Christian coffee mug and bumper sticker while you're at it! My husband calls all the little extras "Christian crap"-- and I tend to agree.
If you want a good, fast-paced, easy-to-read story, with some theology thrown in to boot, read the book, enjoy it, and bypass the cofee mugs and tee shirts! If you just HAVE to spend money, send a donation to the Gideons so they can put a Bible in someone's hands, or send it to Operation Christmas Child or some other worthy cause :)
great book.......2007-05-13
this is one of the most exciting books of the series it keeps you thinking and feeling the emotions of the characters i love these books and recommend it to everyone

Is it right to kill Satan's hit man? Would it help God's work? This installment in the Left Behind series picks up with Rayford Steele--"believer" and international fugitive--as he struggles with a plan to assassinate Antichrist Nicolae Carpathia. Meanwhile, Carpathia has been busy rebuilding roads, airports, and a cellular/solar satellite phone system--all designed to help him become supreme ruler of the world--and even claim himself to be God. We also find ace reporter Buck Williams anonymously preaching to the masses of believers and converts through his cyberspace magazine The Truth. All the believers in the safe house, including Buck, Doc, Chloe, and Tsion, are suspicious of Hattie--former mistress of Carpathia--who claims to be a believer but may have already compromised their secret location when she tried to buy her way to Europe months before.
Fans of the series won't be disappointed. Jenkins's signature writing is at full force. Readers can count on a suspenseful plot, imaginative futuristic thinking, and familiar characters, all of which appear in the opening pages and are sustained until the last cliffhanger scene when God unleashes another earth-shattering disaster.

Customer Reviews:
2,5 stars. Better than the rest so far. .......2007-09-27
With the exception of the first book, I've given the Left Behind sequels 1 star, mostly because of the extremely slow pace, where it feels like they took a few chapters and stretched them out to make a whole novel. The other problem is that they are preachy.
Well, "Assassnis" was certainly a step in the right direction. The was some action in the book, not (as in "Apollyon") only 200 pages into the book. "Assassins" was also not as preachy as for example "Soul Harvest".
So it's definitely an improvement. There are still problems though. There's still too much filler material and the book could have been about 50 pages shorter (but that's an imporvement from the other books, which should have been about 250 pages shorter). And the story is moving to slowly. I can't understand why they need to stretch it out into so many volumes.
2.5/5
I should know better.......2007-01-23
I should know better than to write another review for the left behind series. I've taken a real killing in the votes. But, I can help it. I'm enjoying the series. I'm neither a huge critic or supporter of the series. I stayed away from the series for years but now I enjoy it. I don't agree with all of the theology but I am in general agreement.
This book like all the others have been fun fast reads. It isn't great fiction but it is a fun read. If you are looking for indeapth character this series will also bother you. It took several book for me to really empathize with the characters and now that they are going into the second half of the tribulation I still find that the character development is a bit stiff and unconvincing.
There was also poor dialog at several points in this particular book with entire conversations seeming very awkward. One stylistic issue that continues to bother me is long discussion where the dialog goes unattributed. This isn't always a problem but there are times during longer and more complicated conversations when the reader loses tract of who said what.
But, over all this book like the ones before it is a fun read and I recomemnd it for light reading.
Assassins: Assignment: Jerusalem, Target: Antichrist Left Behind #6.......2007-01-04
This is another great book by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. I would recommend you keep reading if you haven't read it already, and if you have add it to your collection.
Sadism Unleashed.......2006-12-13
Just as I finished the painful task I've given myself of reading this "popular" fictionalization of the End of Time, I saw an article in the news about a video game version of Left Behind, aimed at the market of teenage boys and young men, indoctrinating them in violence and giving them the false notion that their God would condone their taking judgement into their own hands. Do any of the readers of these books recall Jesus's denunciation of the self-righteous Sadducees in the Temple?
Great Book in the Series.......2006-11-12
I feel that all of these books in the series live up to the hpe, and each has continued to become better than the one before it. I have read all 12, and I would recommend the series to anyone.

The Antichrist is dead... or is he? The city of Chicago lies in ruins, the safe house is blown, and the Global Community police are hot on the heels of the Tribulation Force. And who assassinated Nicolae Carpathia?
It's a formidable challenge to keep the attention of an audience midway through a projected 12-volume series, but with their trademark blend of humor and gripping suspense, authors Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye continue to captivate readers with The Indwelling, the seventh installment of the Left Behind series.
Carpathia's funeral takes a hair-raising turn for the 4 million people who attend. Over the crowd looms the centerpiece of a new world religion, a 24-foot bronze statue of Carpathia, belching black smoke and demanding obedience. Woven through the fast-paced drama are the ongoing stories of people struggling amid the end-times mayhem: Chloe Williams wrestles with the moral implications of killing her toddler Kenny to avoid having him fall into enemy hands; her father Rayford Steele is brought face-to-face with the consequences of his pride. Dr. Chaim Rosenzweig, a prominent Jewish Israeli statesman, ponders a conversion to Christianity.
The strength of the series comes from Jenkins's ability to keep the action moving and readers caring about the characters. And there's a hook: The end of The Indwelling promises, "If the last three and a half years are your idea of tribulation, wait until you endure the Great Tribulation." The bad news is just beginning. But, the Tribulation Force believes, good news is also on the way. --Cindy Crosby
Book Description

In dramatic fashion, readers are exposed to the horrors of God's judgment and the hope of salvation. From the very first letter of the alphabet that my eyes looked upon inside this series of books, until the very last period of the very last sentence, I was hooked. Biblically sound, theatrically entertaining, and brilliantly written, the Left Behind books will inspire you to dig into God's word and take the pieces of news from your T.V. screen and match them right smack-dab up with the prophecies of the Bible. Indeed, the Beast is taking Possession... of Your Money.......2007-09-11
Toward the top of this very page, the authors declare: "For some reason, I'm finding that a large percentage of people who greet us at signings, etc., and tell us they have read "all the books" actually haven't. They are largely unaware that between books 12 (Glorious Appearing) and 13 (Kingdom Come) we produced three prequels (The Rising, The Regime, and The Rapture). These need not be read before Kingdom Come (the final sequel), but if you're a Left Behind fan, you won't want to miss them.
Dr. LaHaye and I also have a new series -- fiction based on the gospels -- that began last November with John's Story: The Last Eyewitness. Late this year the second of the four titles, Mark's Story: The Gospel According to Peter will release. And, of course, we'll finish with Luke's Story and Matthew's Story. As always, I'd love to hear from you."
Indeed, they'd love to hear from you, to hear the sound of your money clinking in the cashbox of sanctimony. In addition to the Left Behind Series of 13 books, there are now audio-books (abridged and unabridged), parallel children's books (Children Left Behind!?! Have these sadists no shame?), movie versions, computer games (teaching bigotry and violence), and countless books pretentiously analyzing the novels as theology! And some people worry about Microsoft or Google accumulating too much influence! Just where is all the money going? What charity is Tim LaHaye supporting with his wealth? Bill Gates has a foundation to promote world health care. Can the false prophets account for their true profits?
This one has what was missing.......2007-02-28
I've enjoyed all the books in this series so far. As many critics have pointed out they are not great literature. But, they have certainly been fun reads. They are all action packed and easy to read. However, one thing that has always bothered me about them was that they were often very light on the tension and dread which I would imagine during the tribulation. This book was the first one in which I really began to feel that dread. For me, that was a huge step. It still isn't great literature, so maybe 5 stars is too genereous. But, after six books where I felt the horor of the time was glossed over I was happy to finally get that feel.
The Indwelling: The Beast Takes Possession (Left Behind #7).......2007-01-12
This book was given as a gift and was well received. The Indwelling is an excellent book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.
