5 out of 5 stars A drum roll for Densmore.......2007-06-24

Excellent work by Densmore in this candid biography. You not only gets under the skin of the author, but also gets an excellent account of the day-to-day ups and downs of one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Densmore is as good a writer as he is a drummer. An important document that you can't do without, if you're into the life and times of The Doors.

4 out of 5 stars The Lizard King as seen by the Everyman who played behind him.......2007-05-13

I feel sorry for John Densmore. Despite having been a rock star, the member of what was one of the world's top half dozen rock groups, with all the groupies and money and glamor that that entailed, he remains at this book's writing phenomenally insecure - a nebbish who never found himself despite immersing himself in the California human potential culture purported to deliver exactly that.

He's insecure about girls, insecure about who's his friend, insecure about his drab middle-class roots, insecure about his life prospects and failure to have accomplished much of anything until he became part of the Doors. Some of the introspection in here is so bare and revealing it's almost embarrassing to read. The picture of this naïve Everyman locked into a creative foursome with Jim Morrison, the quintessential dangerous and destructive rock star, is priceless.

America was transiting from harmless British Invasion into superficially benign Flower Power, but Morrison meanwhile was wearing black, singing about sex and death, leading concerts that were like dark seances with somber endings, and challenging bandmates and audiences alike to confront their darker selves and deeper fears. He scared the hell out of the likes of John Densmore.

Morrison, as we know from organist Ray Manzarek's book "Light My Fire", once demanded that Densmore be kicked out of the group; he was just too neurotic and got on Morrison's nerves. Densmore found Morrison, particularly as his alcoholism and erratic behavior grew, so disturbing that Densmore had chronic skin rashes from the stress.

Densmore represents a certain sad byway of that era - people whose pursuit of peace and love, meditation and marijuana, sought to cover or compensate for intense feelings of inadequacy. Many young people who haven't quite found their way in life can feel lost in this way. Marijuana seducing them into compulsive introspection certainly couldn't have helped much. But accomplishing something - like, say, being a pretty fine jazz-rock drummer as Densmore was and putting out a unique body of work like the Doors' music - ought to have helped someone get past that. Densmore doesn't seem to have done so, remaining both lost and searching well into middle-age, and failing to see that maturity required moving beyond that. (Although later chapters touching on his men's movement involvement with Robert Bly suggest that perhaps he was getting a clue about this.)

Densmore's insecurity notwithstanding, this is still a worthwhile book. His painful honesty renders his memoir less varnished than Manzarek's and occasionally more convincing. Densmore gets us a little closer to what really happened with Morrison's death. Most signs point to an accidental heroin overdose, with the heroin provided by girlfriend Pam Courson, who later OD'ed herself, and who was being pursued by a French count who also used and also died of it. Densmore also gets us closer than Manzarek to the tragic sense Morrison projected and held of himself, that he told people he didn't think he'd live beyond youth, that he started every day rebelling against the universe before breakfast. Densmore found playing live behind him "intoxicating ... my new religion," but saw what a price Morrison paid for the edge-living that fed his fire, too brightly and too quickly consumed. A Doors concert, Densmore says, left "everyone in attendance ... cleansed - security guards included. What a show. A truly religious experience. Much better than church. Almost as good as sex! Better! A communion with twenty thousand people."

Densmore loved him as well as fearing him; some passages of the book are written as the letters Densmore would be writing him, if he could. Densmore finds common themes in Morrison's self-destruction and the suicide of Densmore's own mentally ill brother, including his own survivor's guilt and wondering if he could have done more to have saved either - concluding, ultimately, that no, he couldn't. Morrison in a later age might have gone through rehab, but at that time his associates had no clue about what he was doing or how to deal with it. A pity. There have been many dead rock musicians but few took so much potential with them when they went.

5 out of 5 stars Long Live John Densmore!.......2007-03-17

This book is phenomenal. I wish I could thank John Densmore in person! If I could meet him, I would thank him for all the work he did and all the junk he put up with while he was with the Doors. What a legacy! I never even liked the Doors before I read this book, and I never knew that they were that popular (not far behind the Stones and the Beatles). Now I consider myself to be a super-fan, and I have to be honest and say that it is more because of this book than the actual music!

I love that I was able to learn about THE DOORS from this book, NOT JUST Jim Morrison. There are so many books out there on Jim, who was only one quarter of the group. He provided the charisma and many of the lyrics, but he had almost nothing to do with the actual arrangement of the songs musically. The other three band members are extremely talented musicians and they should be recognized for that. Instead, when most people think of the Doors, they only think of Jim... the very one who caused the band's downfall in the media and ultimately their early cessation. Finally, we get an inside look at the OTHER three members and their invaluable contribution to a rock legend that will never die.

John, I hope you check this page once in a while to see the reviews of your book. I was born in the middle of your heyday (1969) and I grew up probably able to name only a handful of Doors songs. Now I practically feel like an expert thanks to your book. You are absolutely right that new fans keep cropping up even after all these years. Would you believe that three of my favorite tunes are not even from among your mega hits? (Soul Kitchen ROCKS) Thank you for what you taught us about Jim. But more than that, thank you for teaching us about ALL of the Doors members. Thank you for all the details you provided about the messages behind the songs and the unique instrumentation and the reactions by the fans and events in your private life - the list is endless. I find myself wanting more because your story is so fascinating. Your book is filled with passion - and most compelling, is your MEMORY. I was riveted by your detailed accounts of specific conversations and impressions that you had. I am so glad you put it down on paper before it was lost forever. Your book is very COMPLETE, HONEST, humorous, tear-jerking, well-written and damn hard to put down. A+++

1 out of 5 stars Sterile Bio On The Doors.......2007-02-17

This book does not offer any great insight to The Doors or Jim Morrison. John Densmore was in the Doors, he hated working with Jim and that's all your really find out from the book. The book is boring. It was not until much later in Densmore's life does he realize that for all Jim's problems he was a songwritting genius.

5 out of 5 stars John Signed mine in person! weeeeeeeeeeeee.......2007-02-04

I was just flipping around in Amazon here and came into this. It's been since 1991? Man I am getting Old! But not as old as John haha. The news hit that he was coming to town, before the net and cell phones, drew a line of people must have been 1/4 mile long, not kidding, to our Tower Records store. I Must of waited 2 hours to say hi and get mine signed. Glad I was not in the back of that line ha. John has got to be one of the best drummers ever. So under rated, never comes up on peoples all time list. Weird. not kidding what I am about to say, back then I had just about the same hair as Jim and was in my prime 20's and long before this day of visit people would tell me I sorta pass for looking like Jim, face and all. I am 6 foot was about 180 then. The hair has gone and the weight is up but what the hey. anyhoo

I was wondering if he would notice as I walked up, he doesn't see anyone really till they are right up on you, as people after people moving thru like cattle. Sure enough he took a double take on me! ha! One of my greatest stories ever! He actually stood back and gave me a quick up and down and just peered into my eyes, yes they are close to the same. Like I said it was a cattle push thru so we just said hi and thanks for coming out and pumped hands. I didn't say anything; I just knew what he was thinking. I should of entered into look a like shows back them. Oh well. Water under a bridge!

Heck, I was so stuned the way he looked at me, I just couldnt say anything, my brain frooze. You think your alright, then you meet such a person and its like DUH UH UH

To bad John didn't play with the 21st C Doors, I knew Ian could only do so much as Jim, but the real deal for me to go was if John was going to be there, for most bands once they change time keepers it just all sounds dif. In Ray's book Ray said Jim wanted to get rid of John, and Ray said he flipped on Jim and said NO! We can't! Ray pleaded with Jim on how good he was and it would mess everything up. And Ray was the man who put it all together and pretty much ran the band. Jim just partied and went along with it all. I still play all this music after 25 years. John really pops in the ipod. 25 years?! Man I am getting Old! But not as old as John!! HA

anyhoo. John, you're the man! I still have the book on my shelf haha.

Book Description

"Strategic thinking is not the lighthouse in a storm. It's the storm—dynamic, dangerous and all-powerful."

Strategic thinking can catapult you from the safe, mundane and fatal world of doing the same things in the same manner as your competition into the rewarding role of a Storm Rider. For the first time, the abstract concept of strategy has been chiseled away to reveal the tangible skill sets of strategic thinking. The result is a clearly defined roadmap to becoming a more effective strategic thinker. Becoming a great strategist will enable you to distance your company from the competition and help you stand out from your colleagues.

In this practical and content-rich guide to becoming a more effective strategic thinker, Rich Horwath identifies the five primary skill sets of strategic thinking:
1. Discovering purpose
2. Creating differentiation
3. Decision making
4. Problem solving
5. Sculpting strategy

Mastering these skill sets will enable executives at all levels to:
-create powerful mission, vision and value statements to unleash and channel the energy of the organization;
-identify and effectively utilize differentiation to separate your company, product or service from the competition;
-make better and more consistent decisions;
-innovatively solve problems and overcome obstacles;
-develop breakthrough strategy using a three-step process that results in a concise two-page blueprint for your business.

Horwath shares his innovative concepts and tools, including the Strategy ProfileSM, Strategy RecipeSM, StrategySphere System®, and StrategyPrint®. These tools and a host of others will enable you to significantly increase your ability to develop and leverage strategy to grow your business. Anyone seeking to reach their full potential as a business strategist will greatly benefit from the book's insights.

4 out of 5 stars Another good guide/resource to be added to your Strategic Thinking Bookshelf!.......2006-05-28

I wish to reiterate: In the marketplace, there isn't much good books written from the personal strategic thinking standpoint. I can only recall one really good one, & that is, 'Choosing the Future: The Power of Strategic Thinking' by Stuart Wells.

This particular one by the founder of the Scuptura Consulting firm is one I have recently come across (as it comes quite close enough). After perusing it, I find it to be a good guide/resource, which any interested reader can add to their Strategic Thinking Bookshelf.

Most strategic thinking books focus on corporate planning, but this particular one brings the concept & philosophy of strategic thinking down to the individual tactical level.

According to the author, "Strategy is as much about what you choose not to do as it is about what you do." Interesting. He goes on to share many of his innovative tools, including the proprietary StrategySphere System. I particularly like the tools for creating differentiation. However, he provides only a generally broad framework of the tools. I guess it is a gentle & subtle way for the author to sell his consulting/software services.

I also like the author's contextual metaphor of modelling a sculpture. He also has quite a catchy phrase: Strategic Thinking is not the lighthouse in a storm. It's the storm - dynamic, dangerous & all-powerful. Hence, the tools & other ideas in the book have been designed to enable the reader to increase his/her ability to develop & leverage strategy to become a storm rider!

Unlike most strategic thinking books, the author doesn't waste time dwelling into the historical perspectives.

In a nutshell, these are the chapters:

- Strategic Thinking;
- Strategy Defined;
- Discovering Purpose;
- Creating Differentiation;
- Decision Making;
- Problem Solving;
- Sculpting Strategy;
- Storm Rider

Frankly & comparatively speaking, I would rank 'Choosing the Future: The Power of Strategic Thinking' by Stuart Wells as well as 'Ahead of the Curve: A Guide to Applied Strategic Thinking' by Steven Stowell & Stephanie Mead with a higher rating.

I therefore would like to give a rating of 4 for this book, although from the strategic thinking standpoint, it deserves a rating of 5.

5 out of 5 stars Worth the price of admission............2004-03-25

A colleague recommended this book to me. It's takes a unique look at how business strategy is formulated and implemented. After reading this book, it became perfectly clear to me that my company, along with many others, say they have an overall strategy, but really do not. It's an easy read that doesn't take an academic approach or view of stategic thinking and can be applied to almost any industry. I would highly recommend, especially to those of you in a sales or marketing function. I guarantee you'll come away with the same thoughts that I did; Building our strategic plan is something we need to spend more time on.

4 out of 5 stars warm nineteenth century Indian romance.......2003-01-18

In 1837 William and Mildred Daniel accompanied by their five-year old child Tabitha sail on the paddleboat heading to St. Louis on the Missouri River. However, fire breaks out and the adult Daniels die with Tabtiha rescued by the Crow. River Song and Chief Blue Thunder rename Tabitha Talking Rain and raise her with love as if she was from their seed.

Thirteen years later, Assiniboine Chief Storm Rider visits Blue Thunder on a quest for peace between the two tribes. Storm Rider knows of the fierce warrior reputation of Talking Rain, but that pales to the real person. When Talking Rain tries to steal Storm Rider's horse, he captures her. While he keeps her his prisoner, an attraction between them surfaces. However, a snake in the grass plans to destroy the fragile peace wrecking havoc on these two tribes whose unity is symbolized by the love between Talking Rain and Storm Rider.

Though STORM RIDER contains the typical Cassie Edwards background, the theme is somewhat different, as this is not a novel of star-crossed lovers, but more of the prisoner-warden variety. The story line is filled with a feel for the era through mostly the eyes of the Native American tribes as Ms. Edwards does what she is so good at providing insight into a culture interwoven into her plot. Ms. Edwards' innumerable fans will enjoy her latest nineteenth century Indian romance as she once again gives sub-genre readers what they want and more.

Young Wade drops into Clark's life like a disobedient Skylab. Wade, a Tlingit boy, is Clark's ex-wife's cousin--hardly a close relation. But the mild-mannered Clark, an Oregonian professor trying to make his way in the East, becomes foster father to Wade by attrition; there is simply no one else to care for the boy. In Craig Lesley's humane and beautifully competent fourth novel, Storm Riders, no romance is attached to the notion of saving a Native American child. Lesley makes both his heroes ornery and unlovable--and desperately real.

Mysteries accrue around Wade. At the opening of the book, a neighbor girl drowns and he is blamed for the accident. In fact, throughout Wade's time with Clark, violent events crop up, and Lesley has the guts to leave these events unexplained. This deepens our sense of the core mystery of the story: Wade's damaged childhood remains unknowable. A string of therapists toss about theories--abuse, a learning disability, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome--and Lesley (who was foster parent to such a boy for a decade) shows how meaningless such theories are in the face of the day-to-day reality of Wade's difficulties.

As Wade makes his way back to his tribe, Lesley spins his novel outward into a meditation on the way families are made and the way children are lost. A Tlingit elder describes to Clark the mythical "land otters" who make off with Tlingit children. Clark thinks he knows what the old man is talking about, and remarks that the land otters are a good metaphor for drugs and alcohol. "The old man shook his head. 'Sometimes there are real land otters.'" And that's the grace of Lesley's writing: Wade is a metaphor for all endangered children, and at the same time he's his own distinctive story, no more and no less. --Claire Dederer

Book Description

Storm Riders follows the challenges and tragedies of Clark Woods, a foster parent who is raising a Native American son, Wade.From the outset it is clear that Wade, born with fetal alcohol syndrome, is not only disabled but disturbed. Despite the strain, Clark will not abandon Wade as Clark's own father had abandoned him. Yet when Wade is implicated in a small girl's drowning near the campus of the University of Massachusetts, Clark wrestles with his own doubt, guilt, and responsibility.AUTHORBIO: Craig Lesley received the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association Award for both Winterkill and The Sky Fisherman, and is also the author of the critically acclaimed River Song. He currently holds the Hallie Ford Chair in Creative Writing at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and lives in Portland with his wife and two daughters.

Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars After the Storm.......2006-09-30

My first book by this author, but I'm not impressed. Usually I find I agree with a lot of the other reviewers but not this time. I find it very slow reading, I'm almost finished.

I think the adults in this story had more problems than Wade. And the language they used around him was disgusting, not to mention the horror stories he was entertained with. The stuff that came out of Wade's mouth at age 10 should never have been dismissed.

It's too bad alcohol is made so available in such a remote village. It just ruined those young teens.

5 out of 5 stars A Moving Testimony to Hope.......2003-04-21

Storm Riders, simply stated is a sumptuous novel that probes deep into the hearts and minds of anyone who wanted to help another rise above their disabilities, but didn't know how. People who believe they have the tools to create miracles, but end up feeling ineffectual. It will touch the souls of those who dare to care for disadvantaged citizens who go unnoticed and written-off. A Northwest author, Lesley's Storm Riders captures the spirit and unique essence of life in Oregon. His ability to capture the authentic spirit of the Northwestern and illustrate it with the struggles and tragedies of Clark Woods is Lesley's true gift to the modern novel.

Craig Lesley's Storm Riders examines the life of Clark Woods as he strives to obtain a balance in a universe that looks to hold no hope, repose, or closure for him. Longing for a happy domestic life with children, Clark convinces his wife Payette to take in her young orphaned cousin, Wade and raise him as their own. Wade, a native Alaskan Indian comes to Clark and Payette a victim of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and suffers mental and emotional damage. In addition, Wade cannot read or write and often cannot distinguish reality from fantasy.

Clark's blind sympathy for the boy and his own desire for children cloud his vision to the negative impetus Wade has on his life. Unable to handle the unpredictable nature of Wade, in addition to her own selfish desires, Payette divorces Clark. Wade is left in his care. Desperate to seek solutions to Wade's disabilities, Clark desires to find meaning, and solace to problems that have no apparent logical definition.

It is when Wade becomes a suspect in the drowning of a young Asian girl, Clark beings to question his ability to support him. Frustration and anger plague Clark as he forces himself to recognize that love and faith alone may not defeat Wade's disabilities. Meanwhile, as the drowning of the young Asian girl haunts Clark, he builds a new life and relationship with his girlfriend Natalie. Troubled that Wade's irrational and erratic behavior will once again destroy Clark's chance at domestic bliss, he strives to find balance between his longing for a life with Natalie, and supporting Wade.

At times full of helplessness, and frustration Storm Riders asks us what our duty is to those we cannot help. What is the roll of society in caring for children with mental disorders? More importantly, it longs to find solutions and tools to problems that are beyond our comprehension. In a bold move, Lesley does not offer solid solutions to Wade's mental illness, or his potential involvement in the death of the Asian girl. Instead he offers the following:

"Change, the shift of fortune, lay beyond his control. Even Wade's destiny eluded him. Clark now realized that at times he had been as powerless as the old shamans in dealing with Wade's problems. However, for the moment Wade was blalanced. Angoon seemed to be the right place, if the clan actually helped the boy during the storms Clark had to be satisfied with that hope."

Written with grace, passion and the spirit of life in the Northwest, Storm Riders is a powerful and engaging novel. A book to be read by those who believe trust in the human spirit is deserved. A masterful work with a strong emotional spirit, and a moving testimony that hope is the foremost tool for survival we have.

About my grading system: I interpret Amazon.com's five-star ranking system as follows: 1 star = far below standards, 2 stars = below standards, 3 stars = meets standards, 4 stars = exceeds standards, 5 stars = far exceeds standards.

4 out of 5 stars Life, and everything else.......2003-01-10

Just as in real life we must stop to laugh at the small almost insignificant aspects, even if they come at the worst of times. This book, though not intended to be, is very funny because it points to the very nature of life that makes the hard times bearable.

This is one of the first books by a contemporary author I am suggesting my friends read. A well written, well thought out novel with deep, complex characters with real flaws, tough feelings and emotions not seen enough. Lesley is truly a Pacific Northwest writer drawing from the beauty and landscape that makes many of our backyards escape into the beauty of an Oregon horizon. And whose characters are divinely independent while still needing people to survive. A novel worth reading.

5 out of 5 stars His best so far.......2002-01-15

Lesley's fourth novel, "Storm Riders," is his best so far. This is not to take away from his previous efforts - his work just keeps getting better and better. The story of a man who tries to be an adopted father to a mentally disabled Tlingit Indian boy (his ex-wife's cousin) and then eventually fails is handled with compassion and almost brutal honesty, otherwise a standard trait of Lesley's writing style. Lesley's ability to portray the problems of the `little guy' and those living on society's peripheries (to paraphrase Ursula Le Guin's characterization of his writing) is unparalleled; an entire battalion of bleeding-heart journalists and weekend social activists couldn't do a better job if they tried.

5 out of 5 stars Good Book!.......2000-04-25

This is such a moving and dynamic book! It's about a young man named Clark who finds himself raising his former wife's cousin's son. When young Wade loses his father, Clark and his then-wife, Payette (a Tlingit Indian from Alaska) decide to adopt him. What they weren't told was how badly damaged Wade was from both fetal alcohol syndrome and from abuse stemming from his mother's many boyfriends.

This book tells the story of a young man who is trying to prove himself as a father, but learns that some things can't always be fixed, such as Wade. Eventually, Clark and his new wife realize that Wade is a threat to their baby daughter and are forced to give him up to another foster home. Unfortunately, much of Wade's time is spent behind bars. This is a powerful story of a terrible situation handled gently, and most important lovingly.

1 out of 5 stars Poor translation.......2004-05-13

The translation to Storm Riders is terrible. Parts of the book are so bad; you think the translator never took an English class in his life. "Do people really talk like that?" The biggest annoyance of the book is the translator can't decide to use the English translation of the characters name or they're actual Chinese names (i.e. Cloud or Bu-Jing-Yun). And if you think it gets better as you progress through the series, you're wrong.

Another Note: The art is Awesome!

5 out of 5 stars A fun and wild ride.......2002-10-03

Okay, I'll admit that I watched the movie before I read the comic book. However, even though "Storm Riders" is one of the most awesome movies I've ever seen, the book, of course, is better. I'm not a big fan of this style of art, but I quickly got used to it. It's definitely not the slick and commercialized sort of art that a lot of the big companies produce. It seems more esoteric, flowing, raw, and especially well suited to the sort of universe presented in "Storm Riders."

As a big fan of wuxia/kung fu fiction and movies, I instantly fell in love with the story and the characters. I'm not sure what someone who wasn't familiar with the style would think, but even if you aren't, check it out anyway. The characters are solid, the action is well-depicted, and I was left wishing all of the volumes were available right now in the U.S.

Definitely worth it!

Book Description

Skull, the Arion. Skull is one of the last survivors of a race of warriors genetically created to be the perfect weapon of war. The Arions' light blue skin, enhanced strength, cunning, and keen tracking sense makes even one of them a formidable foe for an entire platoon.

Talon, the Ariel. Talon is an outcast among his race of benevolent philosophers, the first genetically created race. The Ariels have been given superior intellect, the peak of "human" physical attributes, and wings that carry them even further above normal men.

Skull and Talon. Two unconventional men, trying to live up to the legacy of their fathers while finding their place in a clockwork world full of humans and mutants, Skull and Talon struggle to survive in a world built by the uneasy partnership of forgotten magic and late-century science.

Partnered by fate, bound by destiny-this is the legend of Skull and Talon.

5 out of 5 stars Awesoooooome book!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2006-10-21

Wow, I am completly blown away by this glimpse of a world gone mad. J. Matthews has painted a vivid picture of a world where science has gone mad and thrown in a twist of magic. Something refreshingly different from your usual Sci-fi novel. I would love to see this become a movie!

I could not find anything else from this author. Is there anything?

    5 out of 5 stars Great Martial Arts fiction.......2006-07-01

    If you have ever read a Louis Cha (Jin Yong) novel, then this is almost just like it. The action is so vivid, you'll think you're watching a movie. And you will enjoy the story of "Nameless" as he gains enlightenment through the adversities in his life. I wish there were more martial arts fiction out there like this.

    Book Description

    It's a sunny, beautiful day on America's southeastern coast. But out in the Atlantic Ocean, chaos is brewing. Waves are crashing. Winds are blowing. And the National Hurricane Center is calling the Hurricane Hunters!

    A special weather reconnaissance squadron of the Air Force, these brave men and women fly their WC-130 Hercules aircraft into the heart of a two-hundred-mile-wide hurricane and collect information: in which direction the hurricane is heading, how fast it's moving, and how big it's growing. Before the end of their twelve-hour flight, the Hurricane Hunters will have gathered enough information to save many lives.

    Acclaimed author and artist Chris L. Demarest takes you inside the storm with these real-life adventurers who risk their lives to keep our shorelines safe.

    Customer Reviews:

    5 out of 5 stars How do we know when and where will the next hurricane strike?.......2007-06-04

    Ride along on a data-collecting flight into a hurricane aboard a WC-130 Hercules aircraft. Dramatic and vibrant full-page pastel illustrations capture the intensity of this dangerous mission. As technologically advanced as our weather satellites are, much information about wind speed, humidity, temperature, and barometric pressure inside the eye of the storm can be gathered only by the physical presence of the brave men and women who venture there. Their efforts allow meteorologists to better predict all implications of a developing hurricane. The text is brief and spare. An excellent author's note at the end provides historical background of these "hurricane hunters".

    5 out of 5 stars A unique focus on how hurricanes are tracked and studied by today's technologies.......2006-06-13

    Hurricane Hunters! Riders On The Storm by Chris Demarest tells of the men and women who fly their aircraft into the heart of a hurricane to collect information for science. Very highly recommended for school libraries, Hurricane Hunters! Riders On The Storm differs from your usual weather books explaining hurricane developments by offering a unique focus on how hurricanes are tracked and studied by today's technologies.
