Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum's got a lot on her mind. How does cigarette smuggler Eddie DeChooch, a fugitive so geriatric that even the hot-to-trot Grandma Mazur won't go out with him a third time, keep giving her the slip? How did a woman who died of a heart attack end up in DeChooch's garden shed with five bullet holes in her chest? Who stole a rump roast from Dougie and Mooner, the two lovable potheads who have decided to be crime fighters in Spandex bodysuits? Can Stephanie's perfect sister Valerie make it as a lesbian single mother without driving her family crazy? And--oh yeah--what should Stephanie do about that damn wedding dress on hold at Tina's Bridal Shoppe, waiting for her to decide whether vice cop Joe Morelli's really the one for her?
I did look good in the gown. I looked like Scarlett O' Hara getting ready for a big wedding at Tara. I moved around a little to simulate dancing.
"Jump up and down so we can see how it'll look when you do the bunny hop," Grandma said.
"It's pretty but I don't want a gown," I said.
"I can order one in her size at no obligation," Tina said.
"No obligation," Grandma said. "You can't beat that."
"As long as there's no obligation," my mother said.
I needed chocolate. A lot of chocolate. "Oh gee," I said, "look at the time. I need to go."
To complicate matters further, Stephanie's made a reluctant deal with the devil: if she can't bring in DeChooch by herself, her sexy but dangerous cohort Ranger is willing to help--for a price that a girl who's not-exactly-engaged is uncertain whether she should pay. But when Dougie and Mooner disappear, Grandma is kidnapped, and a crazy widow starts taking pot shots, no one who hides her .38 in a cookie jar is going to turn down a little friendly assistance.
In Seven Up, Janet Evanovich serves up her usual bubbly fare: a totaled car, raucous viewings at Stiva's Funeral Parlor, buffoonish bad guys, and down-and-dirty mud wrestling, all stirred up with some snappy Jersey repartee and a few tart, new twists that will keep her fans impatient. Heaven can't wait for number eight. --Barrie Trinkle

Unfortunately, a marriage proposal from Joe Morelli, the love of her life, isn't quite cutting it. The reader doesn't measure up!.......2007-10-08
I've listened to the first six Stephanie Plum books and absolutely loved the reader and laughed out loud while listening. Unfortunately, the reader for this book is just horrid, not a speck of the same characters in the voice as in the first six books. I hope this reader, Tanya Eby doesn't do anymore Stephanie Plum novels. Please give us the original reader back!
Stephanie Plum series.......2007-09-02
I love the Stephanie Plum series of novels. I really hate reading so I purchase them both in audio for me and paperback for houseguests and friends. I'm drawn in with the excitment and adventure of the story that Janet seems to capture in every novel. It has twists, turns, Lula, mystery, wonder, and of course two very "HOT" men! Who wouldn't want a mix of both men. :} I would recommend the "Plum" series, her "Full" series, as well as her earlier novels of mixed titles. They're all great fun and keep you as a reader at the edge of your seat waiting to see if a cars going to get blown up, who's died this week, who attends the pot roast dinner, who she sleeps with next, what will burn down next, and will she get her man (love or bounty). I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. I look forward to #14 in the "Plum" series, the next "Full" novel, and the new novel Janet recently wrote with a new author being released this October. Thank you!

I spent alot of time looking for this book and it was worth the wait! It always keeps you on you toes, wanting more until the book is done! Janet Evanovich hasn't disappointed me yet!

This is the funiest series I have ever read. I saved the last wo in the series for when I was in labor, knowing I would need something to take my mind off the pain. The nurses must have thought I was crazy,in between contractions I was laughing out loud. Truly the best for fun reading!

ANOTHER GREAT THRILLING READ.......2007-07-14
This series just keeps on raising the bar. The book starts in high gear and never lets up. The final third of the book is just plain UNPUTDOWNABLE!!! Davis just piles on the tension and always is giving us more details about Dragons, Merlin, King Arthur and Excalibur. He very realistically adds to their Myths and makes it seem like this has been part of the Myths for all times. He is very creditable as he leads us along this fantastic journey! Adults who love the lure of Myths should give this series a try. They won't be disappointed.
Excellent Service.......2007-01-17
It took about three days for me to receive the book that I ordered from Amazon. And not only did it come in a timely fashion but it was in excellent condition. No surprises here and that's what I like to see. I would definately come back in the future, especially for the prices.
Easily the best book I have ever read........2006-06-06
Now, don't think. Do not pass go. Put this book directly into your shopping cart. The series of Dragons in our Midst is by far the best series that I have read, including the Harry Potter books(can't stand them now that I've seen six truly great books, the four in this series and the two Inheiretance books) And this is the best book in the series, by a single scale. This is definitely worth reading again and again and again. THIS BOOK AND SERIES TOTALLY OWNS!!! BUY IT!!!
The best book so far in an awesome series!.......2006-05-08
The Dragons In Our Midst series is one of the best series of bookks that ther are, and Circles of Seven is the best book so far. Dragons In Our Midst makes Harry Potter seem extremly flimsy and shallow. (Which is actually fairly true in any instance. JKR was overpaid.) Anyway, THIS IS AN AWESOME BOOK!
BUY IT!
Great!.......2006-05-05
Carrying on the series smoothly, CIRCLES OF SEVEN answers questions from the previous books and still leaves enough suspence to have readers on the edge of their seat, waiting until they get the next book in the series. Never start reading these books if you have a busy day ahead, and most certainly do NOT start them in the late evening! You'll want to finish it all, even on pain of not enough sleep.
Very enjoyable, the series continues to be a very clean, Christian oriented fantasy series that even non-religious readers may be able to enjoy wholeheartedly.

What a great read!.......2007-07-25
I took it on vacation with me and I couldn't put it down. A great book for aspiring athletes and coaches as well as your average Joe who works 9-5. The coaches discuss a variety of topics from their childhood to how they motivate their players. Any easy read for all ages.
Game of life.......2007-07-24
I've read through Game of Life and I enjoyed it very much. There are so many things to take from this book, not just into sports, but also some reflections on life. I would recommend this book to everybody.
Coaching advise from athletic coaches.......2007-06-27
A fun read, especially if yoiu're a sports fan. I read it in search of things that would help my own ability as a coach in my company. Much of it is light stuff but the easy read makes it fun nonetheless and there are few golden nuggets laced throughout the book.
Overcome Adversity.......2007-04-12
Anyone looking for inspiration, either for their own life or to share with others, will find a gold mine of quotes here. This book isn't just for sports fans.

Plum Boxed Set 1 (1, 2, 3)]][Plum Boxed Set 2 (4, 5, 6)Plum Boxed Set 3 (7, 8, 9)Novel)]]
I LOVE reading about Stephanie Plum and her hilarious mysteries. She is a bounty hunter, of all things. She finds herself in the most bizarre situations. I can hardly wait to order the next set of books because they are so well written and FUNNY! There have been times when I have been reading along and have laughed right out loud. Did I say in the doctor's office, beauty shop, dentist's office, at home? Her books are also very intriguing as mysteries. Her 2 love interests add an additional element of intrigue to this series. The other characters in her books are very well done. Her family is quite a family, especially Grandma. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mysteries and loves to laugh. I hope she stays just ahead of me in writing. I can't wait to read the next book!!!
Wonder author, wonderful books.......2007-07-20
Get the great series by Janet Evanovich! If you never lived in "Jersey", you will wonder. If you have, you will laugh! Characters are real, situations vary from insane to insanely weird (how about a car that ends up 12 inches thick?) but all the way through, you keep thinking, "Could I do that? Have I done that?"
Wonderful!.......2007-06-09
I loved these books! I'm a big fan of the Stephanie Plum series and have enjoyed these very much. My husband read them too, and we both laughed out loud while reading. They are very entertaining and move quickly-easy reads. I recommend them!

Book Description
Beth was transformed from a nobody to a somebody, but now she's B-list again.
She -- and everybody else -- got played by Kaia, Kane and Harper.
Nobody can comfort Miranda, who feels so betrayed that she's sworn revenge.
Adam is lashing out at anybody who will listen -- or buy him a drink.
And somebody is stalking Kaia; looks like Reed won't stand for sloppy seconds....
Revenge is the name of the game. And for somebody, it's game over.

THIS BOOK WAS GREAT, THE WHOLE SEVEN DEADLY SINS SERIS IS GREAT.. YOU SHOULD READ THEM ALL
Next one please.......2006-10-03
I love these books. I can't believe there aren't more reviews for them. They are definite guilty pleasures, and I wasn't expecting to like them this much. They're miles ahead of Gossip Girl or any of those types of books, in terms of writing and character development. Also, each book is as good, if not better, than the last. I'm not saying they're great lit or anything, but they are very entertaining. And I really enjoy the relationships between the characters. After the ending of Wrath (not what I was expecting at all), I'm pretty much dying for the next installment.
Full of Wrath.......2006-07-17
By far the best book in the series so far. It started out very slow, especially after the surprising ending in Wasserman's 3rd book in the series, Pride. Of course it was not slow for long with ongoing scenes building up to a very surprising ending. The book deals with more issues than the other three. I love the realationship status between everyone. Kaia and her bizzare realationships with Powell and Reed. Harper, Beth, and Adams, weird connections. And Miranda and her on-going crush on Kane. In this book Harper is very much alone after Adam and beth found out what happened. With her only friends being Kane and Kaia. Kaia deals with her realationships with Reed the scruffball and Powell the French teacher. Miranda and Beth team up for this book to get their wrath out on (mainly) Harper and the rest of the gang who screwed them over. There is also a weird and unexpecting realationship betwen Kane and one of the girls(Very Surprising!)! Adam is just laying around after realizing his life has amounted to nothing but being alone.
I love how Wasserman keeps the reader on the edge of their seat, turning page after page to see what will happen next. Normally it is very hard to read about seven main characters and keep everybody straight, but Wasserman does a great job (again!) with connecting everyone and keeping everyone unique!
I love this book and I encourage everyone to buy this book and the rest of the series. These are some of my favorite books!
With such a twist at the end I cannot wait for the rest of the series!
Great Book With A Surprising Ending.......2006-06-30
I just finished reading the fourth book in the Seven Deadly Sins Series " Wrath" and I just loved it, it keeps you guessing and I really loved the potential of Reed/Kaia and what happens to Kaia and Mr.Powell too, the evil jerk that he is. Someone dies but we won't find out till the next book. I still can't stand Beth and Miranda the most useless characters in the series. Still love Harper and Kaia and KAne and Reed.
Great Series

The end of the year, the end of an era...
Lucky
Miranda's finished strong. She has what she's always
wanted:
Kane. Reformed, relationship-ready, really boring.
Harper has prom queen in the bag -- but sadly, her king has
bailed.
Adam's busy tending to
Beth, who is fully unable to
move on.
It means leaving
Reed, who, let's admit, has no future anyway.
Before they toss those caps in the air, there is a surprise or two left.
Have no fear.
Customer Reviews:
Courtesy of Teens Read Too.......2007-09-25
The gang is back from their very interesting trip to Vegas, and they are ready for whatever is thrown their way, since they have been through so much and it's finally the end of high school.
Beth and Adam are finally back together, after their really long break, full of lies, secrets, and cheating. This typical high school sweetheart couple just hasn't called it quits yet, but starting over doesn't mean that their feelings for other people have gone away just yet. And what they thought was in the past just may show up once again.
Having Beth and Adam together leaves Harper and Reed alone... once again. Harper thought that she and Adam actually had something special together and that they would finally be together forever. And even though Reed and Beth have had a rocky relationship, Reed sill believed that they could work it out. Maybe it's not too late for them after all.
Miranda has finally gotten Kane to be her boyfriend, even if the only thing that is on his mind is getting out of high school -- well, that and a certain secret that could just possibly cause him his life. But even though they may be a couple, are their feelings for real, or is it just a little fling?
It's almost graduation time, and plenty can change until then. Everyone is back, with a little GREED on their mind.
As the last book of the series, GREED was the perfect way to conclude. With even more secrets and deception, fights and misunderstandings, who knew that high school drama could be so appealing? Fans of this series will not be disappointed with how Robin Wasserman completes the story. The only thing that will be on their mind is: why aren't there anymore sins?

The End of an Era..........2007-07-04
The end is here. Robin Wasserman has introduced the final installment in the Seven Deadly Sins series. This book I found was one of the best in the series. This book not only introduces much of the drama so often found in this books but ties up many of the loose ends. In this book Harper deals with her feelings for Adam and daily life. Adam is torn between two girls he loves. Beth and Harper. Beth is needing help getting over her emotions and moving on with her life and Adam is a good suppport. But Beth undergoes a few changes in the book which made me fonder of her charcter. Miranda is busy dealing with her relationship with Kane. Kane is busy dealing with other business. This book has a little bit of sex, drug deals, 2 arrests, someone is missing out on graduation, and a few more twists and surprises! The end is here...and the end is great!

Book Description
Pride. Anger. Envy. Slothfulness. Lust. Greed. Gluttony. Is this an out-of-date list of sins preached against by a behind-the-times church? Or are these sins a challenge and a stumbling block for those of us who are living at the dawn of the twenty-first century? Pastor Ed Young, Jr. says, "I believe you can not only live what the world calls a 'good life,' but you can live what God calls a 'right life.' You can be free of the things that are hanging you up. But to be free, you can and must own up to the distractions described in this book."

Book Description
Everyone's got something to brag about:
Kaia's getting it on with bachelor #1, though scruffball Reed's gotten to be quite an interesting distraction.
Kane and Harper got exactly what they planned:
Namely, Beth and Adam. (Though to keep gettin' it, their secrets -- and pasts -- best stay forgotten.)
Miranda got her heart broken, but now she's all decked with a new look and strategy.
Sometimes, though, you only think you've got everything....

Pride.......2006-07-28
Okay so the last book Kane and Harper succeeded in breaking up Beth and Adam. Now you get to see how that all plays out. Beth feels like her and Kane have nothing in common. Kane's responce "we're both really hot!" Adam and Harper try to have sex, but he cant (if you know what I mean)
Meanwhile, Kaia learns the teacher she's been with has found a ski bunny on the school field trip so she decides to go after Reed (or Weed as she likes to call him). He doesn't like that so they agree to be exclusive. But can she drop Reed?
Harpers best friend (why cant i remember her name?) tried dating online, and the guy ended up to be Greg!
The one thing I dont understand is what this book has to do with Pride.
.:.Surprise Ending.:........2006-07-17
Well I have only recently finished reading this book, and as always I found the book quite interesting, and my dislike towards Kaia and Harper only grew (which may surprise people seeing as most comments have stated that they like these, in my opinion, mean characters), but I must say their characters are really well written just like all the others. And the ending really threw me off (SPOILLER!) thinking that Kaia wouldn't be that mean to tell Beth enough for her to know that Kaia and Adam had slept together. Can't wait for the next book!!
Delicious Scandal.......2006-06-17
The characters turned out to be pathetic in some of their own ways but the storyline was delicious and i liked the way the whole plot played out. My favorite characters are Kaia(i used to hate her in the 1st book), Kane and Jack Powel. Sometimes I have a thing or two for Adam and Harper but they tend to disappoint me most of the times.
I found it a little annoying when (SPOILER) adam and beth found out the mischievous play kane and harper pulled on them and decided to restart, but ended up breaking no sooner than 5 seconds after Kaia spilled the beans about her little affair with Adam.
Even though in my opinion, it was a little low for Kaia to play her moves on someone like Reed, her confidence and never losing attitude was appealing. Somewhat the same for Jack Powel. And he IS hot afterall. And by far, the most non-desperate character.
I finished the book in a few hours(just like Envy). The polt gets juicer with every release, much better than the first book, Lust. Its a must-read for chic-lit lovers. If you liked Gossip Girl/A-list/Insiders/It Girl series, you'd find this one an entertaining read too.

Beth and Adam.
And they know how to get it:
Break up the shiny happy couple once and for all.
Miranda thinks she knows how to hit on Kane (Mr. Unattainable).

Know the feeling?
Customer Reviews:
Eclipses the original!.......2005-12-30
Let me say how happy I am to be the first to review ENVY (I do so love being number 1)! Now let's get down to it.
Robin Wasserman's Envy had some sizeable shoes to fill after the release of Lust in Mid September and many (including yours truly) did not expect this book to surpass it's predecessor. But, in fact, it does. Envy is by far better than Lust in that there is just as much action and even better exploration of who the characters are and how they came to be who they are.
One basic flaw of Lust was that Miranda and Adam were immediately introduced as dear friends of Alpha Girl Harper, but then there was little interaction between the characters and Harper. There was little evidence supporting many of Wasserman's claims (such as Miranda being snarky, Adam and Harper being best friends, Harper being witchy and selfish) but in this book, Wasserman raises the bar by taking the focus off of sex (shocking for a teen book of this day and age) and creates a more personal analysis of personality and background, the former more so than the latter.
Kane and Kaia, for example, were portrayed in Lust as the troublemakers. The manipulative, heartless schemers who just took what they wanted and to heck with everyone else. In the latest installment of the series, there are rare moments where Kaia recalls her childhood (being passed around like luggage by two uncaring parents) and readers glimpse Kane's conscience. Wasserman makes these moments memorable without overdoing it. She doesn't try to go too far too fast in "redeeming" these characters. She just makes them understood, if not immensely liked. Also notable are the interactions between Harper and Kaia and Harper and Adam. The Harper/Adam relationship becomes believable and natural and the moments between Kaia and Harper, two virtual enemies are pure fun. Kaia and Harper's scenes light up the page with their snide remarks and witty banter. They are so much alike, and it was hilarious to see them bond and become partners in crime. The author does a fabulous job of illustrating that while they are enemies, Harper and Kaia are the real soulmates in this book.
By far the best part of Envy is the action packed last chapters. Unlike Lust, the book had a huge payoff and all the plotting and schemeing came to a head. Very few will be disappointed by the conclusion.
However, as delightful as this book was, there were a few drawbacks. First off, Harper became a complete witch as she abandoned Miranda in her time of need and gave up her old loyalties to chase blindly after Adam. While Harper is so well-developed a character that readers will certainly forgive her, it is disappointing to watch her downard spiral into witchiness. Miranda also spiraled down into a whiny, whimpering brat that should be smacked in the face and forced to take responsibility for her own life. There were also too many Beth scenes (the series is written in third person, but the book is separated into segments told from the point of view of different characters) and she became a stereotype, a whimpy excuse for a character who could not stand up for herself and needed a man's support. She should take a few pointers from Kaia; enough is enough already. Beth is by far the most annoying character in the book and her selfish nature and constant ridicule of her boyfriend Adam makes it impossible to sympathize with her (and easy to root for Harper).
Best parts of the book: Kane segments, Kaia and Harper's weird relationship, Kane and Harper's reference to The Incident, Harper and Adam.
Worst parts of the book: Miranda not standing up for herself, Beth, Beth, Beth, and Beth.
Is this series worhwhile? Absolutely. Seven Deadly Sins exceeds expectations and is destined to become a favorite among teen readers. These books are incredibly addictive, and a tad bit mature. Viewer discretion advised, but otherwise, enjoy!
