Book Description

Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.

Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.

5 out of 5 stars Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09

There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.

For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.

It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.

4 out of 5 stars History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10

Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.

I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.

Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.

Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.

I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.

This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Book Description

The Parthenon Code reveals, for the first time in 2,000 years, the meaning of the seven sculptural themes on Athena's temple. A simple, but hidden artists' code expressed on vase-paintings and the Parthenon sculptures, leads to the astonishing truth that Greek myth/art chronicles in great detail the reestablishment of the way of Kain (Cain) after the Flood.

1 out of 5 stars pressing issues.......2007-02-28

When I hear my university colleagues condemn vanity presses, I often object, and I do so because of books like The Parthenon Code. Surely hobbyists such as Mr Johnson deserve an avenue for presenting their work to the public. The rigorous review to which juried publications are subjected demands, perhaps, an unnecessarily burdensome familiarity with scholarship in the appropriate fields of study, to say nothing of a career's worth of work in the academy and environs. My only regret for this book is that Mr Johnson has not yet quite mastered the conventions of scholarly discourse, where -- in the words of the great Dorothy L Sayers -- "a bland and deadly courtesy is more devastating" than rudely deriding the works of scholars who have devoted their lives to the formal study, teaching, and illumination of, in this case, the classics and the Bible.

5 out of 5 stars Pandora deified..........2006-12-19

There are over 600 flood legends...almost every culture/civilization on the globe has passed down an oral and/or written history about a global flood. Indeed, the only way to fossilize anything is rapid burial underneath sediment and water (how else can one explain millions of fossils around the world) and what of seashells on tops of mountains...etc.

A Christian should not sneer at the idea of others in his faith who accept the authenticity of the very first book of the Bible. Scientific evidence points towards a young earth, as opposed to an old earth, and basic mathematics limits man's existence to a few thousand years, not millions. Indeed, even secular scientists affirm that all of manking descends from ONE woman (mitochondrial DNA). Could that woman be Eve? I think so, but others are welcome to draw their own conclusions.

As for the Book itself, it is a very interesting read. Like the author, however, I wish there were more primary sources fully delineating the meaning and the origins of the Parthenon. I think that Mr. Johnson has made a huge contribution to the study of the ancient world, in that he has posited a unique thesis regarding ancient Greece's greatest monument. While I am disposed to embrace his interpretations--due to my own literal interpretation of Genesis, I fear that the lack of primary sources (from ancient Athenians) may limit his book's influence.

Nevertheless, my imagination was very much excited by this writing, and plan to visit Nashville's Parthenon in March 2007.

4 out of 5 stars Quick, fascinating, plausible and memorable value........2006-04-11

I finished reading this book this week, liked the way the material was presented and particularly appreciated the use of many original sources. I found Johnson's thesis generated many connections for me. For instance, his original reference to Cain as the lame god Hephaistos, cast down from Olympus made me think how, in a very real sense, Cain was crippled by the mark placed upon him by God, concerning which he was surely downcast. Further, it particularly made me appreciate the correlative work of Christ in making the lame to walk.
I thought this work plausible and obvious in that forehead slapping way and regretted that classical mythology has no place in evangelical academia.
In the end, one is left wondering why, if the Hesperides' Garden/Eden was the idyllic original habitat of man, but the actions of Hera/Eve resulted in its forfeiture and estrangement from Deity, how then, was the Enlightening a boon to man?
It interests me that all of mankind, by hook or by Shepherd's crook, seeks a return to Paradise, but must content itself with knowledge, since the natural man is very far from Eden indeed. As Robert Johnson rightly said, on the journey home one must pass through a bloody field east of Eden.
This is a wonderful and provocative book and I would be very interested to read anything else he writes.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing!.......2005-11-04

The Greeks traced their ancestry back to a first couple in an ancient paradise they called the Garden of the Hesperides, always depicted on vases with a serpent-entwined apple tree. Sound familiar? This first couple, Zeus and Hera, were brother and sister, and husband and wife, just like Adam and Eve. They also had two sons who had offspring, just like Adam and Eve. Their sons, Hephaistos and Ares, correspond to Kain (the author uses the Greek spelling for reasons he makes clear) and Abel. It's so amazing and so simple once you see it. Greek artists tell the same story as Genesis except from the opposite standpoint that the serpent enlightened the first couple, rather than deluding them, in paradise.

Nereus of Greek "myth" (whose name means the "Wet One") is Noah. There's no doubt about it. You can check the author's overwhelming evidence for yourself. Herakles is Nimrod transplanted to Greek soil. Hermes is Cush. Chiron is Ham.

I commend the author for shining light on truth that's been there in the dark all along. THE PARTHENON CODE is a very well-written book with great depth, and many ancient illustrations confirming the author's thesis. He has cracked a genuine ancient artists' code. The big question in my mind is, Why have the academics for so long been so blind to the obvious?

Kari Joys, Author of "Choosing Light-Heartedness"

5 out of 5 stars A Genuine Ancient Artists' Code Deciphered.......2005-04-15

The Greeks summarized who they were, where they came from, and what they believed on the east pediment of the Parthenon. In the last hundred pages of the book, Mr. Johnson takes the reader through the computer reconstruction of the figures there based on the physical evidence, one extant sculpture at a time. Holmes Bryant's computer reconstructions are magnificent (Click on "Search Inside" "Back Cover" to see his reconstruction of the Three Fates from the left side of the pediment, and click on "Front Cover" to see the Hesperides from the right side).
Reading those hundred pages gave me the same feeling as putting together a jigsaw puzzle. The author supplies all the pieces of the puzzle so you can evaluate his reconstruction for yourself. When you have finished THE PARTHENON CODE, you will understand what the Greeks were telling us in their myth/art, and on the sculptures of Athena's magnificent temple. Mr. Johnson has deciphered a genuine ancient artists' code.

You'll probably guess what's behind the murders of mothers and their very young sons long before investigator Joe Lassiter does, but that shouldn't spoil your enjoyment of this exciting and thoughtful new thriller that mixes science and faith in with its action. Lassiter's own sister and beloved nephew are among the victims, who were all patients at an Italian fertility clinic run by a doctor with some unusual ideas about DNA. Why this catches the attention of a dangerous religious order, and whether Lassiter can save one surviving woman and child from their wrath, should take up a good part of your night.

Book Description

A phone call in the dead of night brings Joe Lassiter shattering news. His sister and young nephew have died in a fire in their home near Washington, D.C. Yet Lassiter soon learns a chilling fact: His loved ones were brutally murdered before the blaze was set. . . .

The mysterious suspect's identity only raises more questions. Then Lassiter uncovers another crime--another innocent mother and child murdered. The more he unearths, the larger the web of conspiracy grows, as his search for answers leads him on a dangerous international chase toward a truth that will shock him--and the world--to the very bone. . . .

4 out of 5 stars This Novel is Enjoyable, but Unbelievable.......2007-09-29

I read a lot of thrillers, and I really enjoyed THE GENESIS CODE for the most part. This novel resembles the DA VINCI CODE in the sense that it's a religious thriller, and the villains and assassins are far-right Catholics. THE GENESIS CODE, however, ultimately goes in a very different direction than Dan Brown's book, and can be enjoyed on its own merits.

The major flaw with THE GENESIS CODE is that the big "secret" of the book is pretty predictable. I therefore found the finale of this book, where the secret is finally revealed, to be kind of anti-climactic.

I also found the main character of Lassiter to be kind of silly. For example, you're supposed to believe this 35-year old is the CEO of the top private investigatory firm in the world, and is a better investigator than the cops and the FBI. Despite this fact, he often discovers key clues by mistake: in one scene, for example, he accidentally knocks some materials off a refrigerator door, which reveals a postcard with an important piece of information. You also have to believe that Lassiter would stick an incredibly important piece of evidence in his pocket and completely forget about it until the very end of the book. Say what? Whenever I read unbelievable scenes like this, I feel like my intelligence is being insulted by the authors.

Still, despite its unbelievability, THE GENESIS CODE is much better written than your average thriller and succeeds very well as an entertaining page-turner. John Case is actually a pseudonym for a husband-wife team, and the wife died earlier this year at a tragically young age. Unfortunately, this probably means that we won't be getting any more Case thrillers in the future, which is a real shame for fans of good thriller fiction.

5 out of 5 stars On the edge of my... bed.......2007-09-16

I just finished reading this book for the second time. 'The Genesis Code' kept me in suspense from the very first page. Being an "action junkie", John Case does an excellent job in giving me my fix. Even if you are not a avid reader, 'The Genesis Code' is a read that will keep you up until the last page.

Combinig scince , religion, great characters, lively writing....you wont want to put the book donw...Funny thios book wad wriiten in the pate 1990s and maybe the plot seemed farfetched at the time but with new breakthroughs in science it is defitnely p[lausible ....and very scary....

5 out of 5 stars a thrill ride.......2007-06-16

This thriller begins in a sleepy Italian village, with the village priest. He is musing over the fact that he constantly hears the same types of sins being confessed in the confessional when a local scientist/doctor comes in for confession. The reader does not know the confession, but we see the reaction: the priest flees the church and goes immediately to one of his connections in the Vatican. Whatever the sin confessed was, it has world-shaking consequences.

This book brings in an ultra-conservative Catholic lay order (their motto could have been "Hey! the Inquisition wasn't all bad!"), a conspiracy to murder whole families and a professional American investigator named Joe Lassiter.

The action is fast-paced and the story is well-written. The author, to his great credit, does not let you know what all the hubbub is about until the characters themselves discover it. In fact, about halfway through the book, you start to wonder if the good guys really are the good guys.

The ending wraps things up a little too well, but it is a very good book. Grade: "A"

1 out of 5 stars There is no "Bible code".......2005-05-21

One of the foundational qualities of the Bible is its clarity (sometimes called perspicuity). That means Scripture's main teachings are plain enough to be understood without the need of special expertise or church-sanctioned interpretations.

The Bible frequently speaks about its own clarity. Psalm 119:130 says, "The unfolding of Thy words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple." The average person who humbly reads the Bible can say, "I have more insight than all my teachers, for Thy testimonies are my meditation" (Psalm 119:99). Psalm 19:7 teaches, "The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple."

The idea of hidden codes in the Bible contradicts all of that by limiting accessibility to the real message of the Bible to so-called experts who can decipher the cryptic messages God "hid" in the Scriptures. But such "experts" aren't needed because the Bible contains no hidden codes.

One hidden-code theory works like a common word-search puzzle-hidden messages are supposedly embedded diagonally within the Hebrew text. But that's as foolish as turning your daily newspaper into a word-search puzzle and expecting to find meaningful stories hidden in it. Newspapers aren't written to convey messages in secret code, and neither was the Bible. Both should be read using ordinary rules of language.

Of course there are concepts in the Bible that are hard to understand-even the apostle Peter admitted that (2 Peter 3:15). But the way to discover the meaning of those hard passages is not by seeking out hidden messages, but by engaging in diligent study that accurately handles the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

Take heart! The Bible is clear and even the most untrained reader can understand it. God wants you to understand the Bible, and He has provided the Holy Spirit as a guide (John 16:13). After all, "man does not live by bread alone, but...by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD" (Deuteronomy 8:3).

    3 out of 5 stars A Bit Dissapointed.......2005-04-27

I have read several books on the Bible Code recently, and this is my least favorite to date.

First, it seemed odd to me that the author was able to do this without the aid of a computer (not that I believe the computer is "all mighty" - quite the contrary!). The reasons I found this odd is that: 1) the amount of work involved to use his method without a computer is absolutely astonishing - so I question whether the amount of info. he was able to de-code could be done in the amount of time he's been working on this project; and 2)It was discovered that Einstein had worked at finding the Bible code for many, many years before his death (in fact most of the notes found of his were his attempt to find a code in the Bible that he was sure existed) - yet he failed to do so. The theory that's been postulated (that I tend to agree with), is that the modern computer was the key to unlock this code, and it was Einstein's lack of a computer that led to his failure.

There are other reasons why I wasn't crazy about this book as well, but I'm just not into "bashing" an author's style - so I will refrain from listing them. My comments above are also not meant as a "bashing", but rather a questioning...

Overall, it probably isn't a bad book to get if you're interested in the subject, but I would recommend reading "The Bible Code" & "The Bible Code II" first.

5 out of 5 stars MIDWEST BOOK REVIEW.......2003-05-31

If you are interested in study on the Bible code, this book should certainly be by your side.

Filled with information, the author takes you on a step by step journey into the Hebrew language and the mystery hidden in God's Word. Are you ready for that journey?

I will say, it is not just a quick read, but one that you will want to mull over, think about, reread and meditate on. However, it is a book that will challenge you in all you do with your life.

Is your name encoded in God's Word? Just what has God written about you if it is?
Interesting! Are the days ahead truly already written? You be the judge!

    A very good read! Recommended!

5 out of 5 stars If you're going to read 1 book on the Bible code this is it!.......2003-04-10

To say this is just a book on the Bible code would be doing this work an injustice. It is more, much more. It is one; an exposition on the Bible code (ELS). two; an exposition on Scripture. And three; also an exposition on the Bible Numerical Value System. So we can say this book has three witnesses to back it up. One; All the Bible code found in this book checks out, You can get Bible Code software, and do it yourself. Two; all that Yacov Rambsel finds in the code is in perfect harmony with both the Scripture and 3; the Numerical system. Its all a perfect fit. Rambsel asked the most important questions about our salvation, and about the past, present and feature. He seeks and finds the answers to life's most important questions. The Factor starts off good and goes to great; chapters four, five, six and seven are phenomenal. Their in order named; THE NAME OF THE MESSIAH; THE CROWNING PROPHECY'S OF THE BIBLE; THE RETURN OF THE MESSIAH AND THE SEVENTH DAY. I would highly suggest this book to Christian and non Christian alike. And I would say to everyone to study the above mentioned chapters, thoroughly. For non Christians I would suggest you start with Page 17 (skip the forward and intro). This book may very well introduce you to the MESSIAH.

1 out of 5 stars Cypher of Genesis.......2001-04-01

This book is a very tough read without first having an understanding of hebrew, qabala and gematria or numerology. The "revolutionary" concepts may be clear to the author, but his interpretation to the uninitiated falls well short of complete comprehension.

5 out of 5 stars The Science of the Structure of Energy.......2000-04-10

If you can stand having your basic assumptions turned literally upside-down (some cannot) and don't mind having profound and revolutionary ideas handed to you on a silver platter, this is the book for you.

Suares' work stands almost totally apart from any other exegesis of Qabala in the last 500 years. It is focused on Yetziratic Qabala (in contrast to the Zoharic traditions dealt with in most modern literature) and is presented in terms appropriate for our times -- as the science of the structure of energy.

Be aware -- this is not a speculative work. The Cipher of Genesis offers two levels of truth, each equally amazing and challenging, each with potentially great significance if accepted into the psyche of the reader.

The first -- that the original, most Holy, book of the West, the Hebrew Bible, was written in code -- and we're not talking Rabbi's names here -- is revolutionary enough.

The second -- and this is what turns the work away from speculation and into a science project -- is the publishing of the key to the code for independent deciphering and verification.

Suares says, in the Cipher, that there is a buried, or rather formative language hidden in the Hebrew letters of the Bible. They are right there before our eyes as code we didn't know was code, with meanings that are shadows or inversions of the encoded meaning. The Keys have been given. See for yourself. --primematter@yahoo.com

5 out of 5 stars Intellegent, healthily disturbing.......1999-07-19

This book, if read carefully, can act as a tool for the mature and precise dismissal of the limiting ego. If it's implications are even partially realised, the reders conciousness has at least a chance of releasing itself from material gravity.

5 out of 5 stars The poetry of the Hebrew language: Images and numbers.......1999-03-23

Suares first caught my attention in his analysis of the Sefir Yetsira, which I purchased in 1976, but could not -- or did not-- access until this past year, Sept. 1998. Suares uses the symbolism of numbers in the Hebrew alphabet to build metaphorical meaning into simple letters, words, and stories. To participate in the unfolding of the opening of the Book of Genesis, for example, is to taste of the essential nature of his enterprise. I have spent many many hours in a state of imaginative ecstasy and fascination as the symbolism of Cain (Qaheen) and the story of the Garden of Eden expand in my mind. The experience of this book and the Sefir Yetsira transcends for me the reading of the most profound poetry: e.g. Whitman's Out of the Cradle, Eliot's Four Quartets, Wallace Stevens' Auroras of Autumn and William Butler Yeats Lapis Lazuli. As a result of Suares' works,I have marked up my Strong's Hebrew dictionary and made a catalogue of my own key words and have been investigating the Hebrew letter connections with the Tarot started by The Golden Dawn. Moreover, I have begun to come to terms with the holocaust as part of the unfoldment of the mystery of life. Even Camus' Plague makes actual religious sense -- not as God's punishment, but as the discovery of the role of resistance in our spiritual growth. (I trivialize by trying to explain.) I only wish that I could have access to a person as conversant with this wing of Qabbalistic study as Suares was.

    5 out of 5 stars A brilliant, luminous book.......1999-02-14

One cannot "read" this book, as one reads a novel or a newspaper. This book is really a kind of poem. It was meant to be approached meditatively, where each sentence is allowed to germinate and then explode within the soul. It is a rare and brilliant gem, an altogether novel and luminously mature approach to the presentation of kabbalah and religion.

    Book Description

Michael Crichton meets Dan Brown in this novel of the real secret code hidden in human DNA.
Nobel Prize--winning geneticist Joshua Ambergris has made an astounding discovery that will shake the foundations of science: He has discovered a coded text hidden in human DNA.
Before Ambergris can change the course of history by announcing his incredible discovery, he is brutally murdered in his office at Triad Genomics, an international biotech company. Ambergris has left behind a labyrinthine series of clues that ultimately reveals the truth: There is a message from a much earlier, more sophisticated human civilization encoded in the human genome!
Who planted this code eons ago? And why? And can it be decoded before it’s too late? Ambergris’s protégé, Christian Madison, and his assistant, Grace Nguyen, must follow the serpentine trail to uncover a global conspiracy of silence, secrecy, and murder that spans the breadth of human history.
A shadowy group known only as the Order guards the ancient secret enciphered in the mythologies and architecture of Earth’s oldest civilizations and encoded into the very fabric of human DNA. Ambergris’s clues lead Madison and Nguyen through the mysteries of the Maya and ancient Egypt, the forgotten knowledge of Sumeria, and the enigmas of modern science. Pursued at every turn by Ambergris’s killers, Madison and Nguyen race to uncover the secrets of the Genesis Code before the Order can carry out the final, sinister step of a genocidal plan.
Driven by scientific fact and new interpretations of ancient writings, symbolism, and mythology culled from thousands of years of human history, The Genesis Code digs deeply into the questions of the real nature of the human DNA code.

I LOVED this book! It's rare that a thriller provides such interesting concepts to ponder. This is a smart book chocked with exciting scenes. It's a marvelous read and I can't wait to take the next journey Christopher Forrest will provide for his readers.

For a first time novel I thought the book was great! I love to fly through books which are page turners and this is one those books. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot was so interesting and new. I have also really enjoyed the games. He has me hooked and I a cant wait for his next release!

3 out of 5 stars Just not enough.......2007-09-05

The idea was interesting but I just don't think he developed the story or the characters fully enough. I also don't think he really explained what was revealed in the code once it was broken. There was speculation about 2012 before the code was solved but this was never really confirmed. I also thought the climax was kind of abrupt and again, not very well developed. It is a first novel so I gave him a little break on the rating, it could have been lower.

    4 out of 5 stars interesting thriller.......2007-08-28

At Triad Genomics Biotech Company, Nobel Prize winner research geneticist Joshua Ambergris has discovered a coded text hidden in human DNA. He is euphoric with his find, but is a bit confused as to whom, why, and how they planted this as there had to be a previous more advanced race than humans of today. However, before he can announce to his peers what he has found, members of the ancient Order kill him as they want the DNA code kept secret.

Ambergris's two assistants, Christian Madison and Grace Nguyen, are stunned by his death; they vow to complete his last work as homage to the late great geneticist. However, the Order is taking no chances that Ambergris's lab rats will learn the truth so plan to kill them too.

The segments that focus on the math and science of coding and genetics are superb fascinating looks at DNA and a host of cryptic mythos. When the story line turns action thriller the tale feels too commonplace as this has been frequently done before. Likewise when the two heroes work on coding they seem human; when they dodge bombs and assassins they seem more like James Bond than scientists. Still overall THE GENESIS CODE is an interesting combining of the DNA code with a who's who of mystical coding.

4 out of 5 stars It really makes you think.........2007-08-27

Wonderful book. As events unfold, you begin to wonder "What if..." Gives you alot to think about as well as being a darned good story. This book kept me glued from start to finish, I never put it down. I am already anticipating a rumored sequel or second book by Mr. Forrest. And the ARG that started on the author's web page is thought provoking as well. I have learned quite a bit for the research done for the ARG. A must have for your leisure reading library.

5 out of 5 stars Controversial and Insightful.......2007-06-15

As the author, I should share what this book contains in a further review here. Written as one who left an organization called "The Way International", I have written a book, perhaps one of THE books debating much of their doctrine and recommend it to those who are considering joining or who have left. The book begins by trying to find the REAL reason behind the Fall of Man, take on the extreme-reaching theory of the "Seed of the Serpent" in which some believe the devil can also make people "born again" of himself, and discuss the Unforgivable Sin. It continues to debate why I believe born-again Christians cannot be possessed by the devil or demons, discusses the Foreknowledge of God, time travel, and debates the name of Lucifer being attached to the devil, and reasons why the Lucifer in the Bible is actually referring to something else. The book continues to explain what the "Lake of Fire" really is historically and debates why Hell is different from our own perceived ideas and theology. The Wise Men are discussed and explained how they came to know the "star" of Jesus Christ. The term "cherubim" is explained and ancient ways of looking at the heavens and how they pertained to scripture are revealed. So-called biblical "contradictions" are explained in the records of those crucified with Christ, where and when Peter did his denials and the time of those denials, and discusses the Woman Caught in Adultery and why it is out of context in John, yet really is a true story. Finally, the Da Vinci Code is debated and the term "Lamb of the First Year" is explained, which puts the Da Vinci Code to nothing other than fiction.
